The most awaited and big day for Naina and Sameer the farewell ceremony had arrived. Sameer and Naina were very happy as that they were going to see each other's after long wait. A farewell ceremony was held in the afternoon. Since this morning every single student in the college was busy, some students were engaged in arrangement, some students were excited to attend the ceremony and some students were happy in the completion of their studies. But the two soul were excited for meet other reason, they were both happy to tell their feeling to each other.

The Agarwal sisters were too busy getting ready. Both of them first debated something like dresses and make-up, then they agreed. Bela and Pooja were frustrated at seeing them and their debates. At first, Taiji was not ready to let them go to the farewell function but Anand persuaded Taiji. Taiji only agreed on one condition that both of them would return home before six o'clock

Bela - beta tum dono ko aaj hi taiyar hona hai... wo kya kahte hai... ferwel aaj hi hai, tem to dekho das baj gaye hai, aur abhi tak tum dono bas jhagad rahi ho... kitna tem shuru hoga ferwel... she scolded them for their being late and arguing for little things.

Preeti - mammy farewell teen baje hai aur aap hame darao mat... hum time se ready ho jaayenge... she replied by holding Bela's shoulder with her hands who stood near the door with Pooja watching them.

Naina - chachiji ye jhumke kaise lagege iss dress ke sath... she asked while jhumka placing her both ears. Then she asked to Pooja.

Pooja - Naina tum par to ye sach me bahut pyara lag raha hai... aisa lag raha hai tere liye hi bana hai... looking to Preeti... aur tujhe kuch pasand aaya, jaldi se decide kar aur dono ready ho jao... time kaise nikal jayega pata nahi chalega... she gave them some sensed and then Bela and Pooja left the room.

Preeti - bahen... yaad hai na, tujhe aaj sab se sundar dikhna hai... itna ki college ke sabhi ladke bas tujhe hi dekhate rahe aur...Sameer ke to hosh hi uad jaye... to ab shuru ho ja meri heroin apne hero ke hosh udane ke liye... she said in dramatically and kept her hand on her own heart.

Naina - chup kar, kuch bhi ulta sidha bolti hai...Mujhe koi makeup nahi karna.. she chided her and rejected her proposal to makeup.

Preeti - to kya aisi hi chali jayegi... she looked at her with grumpy face.

Naina - achchha thik hai... bas thoda sa hi, ye nahi ki Sunaina jaisi mai bhi makeup ki dukan lagu... she said seeing her fake anger with laughing and pulled her cheeks.

After lunch, they were ready for farewell. Preeti first light makeup to Naina. She put eyeshadow on Naina's eyes in matching dress colour and put lipstick on her lips. She opened her hair and lastly placed a bindi between her eyebrows. She looked stunning in the simple make-up and this beautiful orange saree with green border.

Preeti - haaye... meri jaan kitni pyari lag rahi hai, kahi meri hi nazar na lag jaye... and she put a kala tika behind ear.

Naina - kabhi apno ki nazar nahi lagti, samajhi meri hanuman aur aaj ke baad aisa kabhi mat kahna... chal ab tu bhi jaldi ready ho ja, phir hame Swati ke ghar bhi jana hai... she said lovingly while embracing her tightly.

Preeti - bas mera thoda make-up bacha hai, phir to mai ready hi hu...she replied while combing her long hair. She did her own light make-up. She wore a pink saree.

They both came out of the room after getting ready. Bela got emotional seeing her two beautiful daughter standing in front of her.  He put both of them kala tika. Pooja praised them both for looking gorgeous and she had just started saying something to suggest them. Then everyone heard a shrill voice with the entry of an unwanted person at that precious moment.

Everyone's attention went to the door and saw taiji enter the house and adjusted herself on the swing with her usual demand of elaichi wali chai. Taiji looked at Naina and Preeti and got ready to make some nasty comments.

Taiji - O bai...tum dono gai nahi abhi tak, pata hai na sham 6 baje se pahle vapas bhi aana hai... she ordered in her usual rude tone.

Both - pata hai... they both muttered under their breath with making face.

Taiji - chalo ab jao jaldi aur time se vapas aa jana... jara deri bhi der hui phir to tumhe pata hai... she frightened them if they did not returned home on the time.

They both immediately left for Swati house as avoided of her any other ordered.

Sameer was in his room and confused what to wear this special day. Just nanu entered and saw him confused. After knowing his problem he suggested a white shirt and black pant with dark blazer. His eyes lit up when he found a perfect pair and he immediately hugged nanu.

Sameer - thank you... Nanu... he beamed.

Nanaji - chal ab ye maska lagane ki zarurat nahi hai, ab tujhe mujh jaise buddhe ki kya zarurat, teri saathi jo aa gayi hai... he said with broke the hug and covered his face with fake anger.

Sameer - nanu aap aise kyo bol rahe hai, aap nahi honge to mai kaise rahunga, nanu aap ki zarurat to mujhe har kadam par hogi... he said with panick tone of hear his comment.

Nanaji - chal ab emotional mat ho, mai to aise hi mazak kar raha tha...  jaldi ready ho ja, nahi to teri heroine wait karti rah jaayegi.. aur ha sun jana mat, mai abhi thodi der me aata hu...he comforted him as hear to his fearful voice with patted his back. Sameer blushed to listen his teasing of referring to Naina.

Nanaji walked out from the room and Sameer dressed himself which was selected by Nanaji. He heard a delighted voice when he was combing hair standing in front of mirror and his eyes go to the door. He saw Munna stood with full enthusiasm, he too dressed gray suit. Sameer glance him up to down then he returned to mirror again.

Sameer - Munna kya lag raha hai tu... aaj to ek na ek to pat hi jayegi... he commented as checking himself in the mirror.

Munna - kya bhai... mujhe chhod khud ko dekh bada sahi lag raha hai tu... college ki sari ladkiya falt ho jani hai, par tu to pahle se hi hero hai bas aaj Naina impress ho jaye... to phir to... he said with smile as entering the room and looking his dashing and handsome friend.

Sameer - bas yaar aaj Naina aa jaye, mujhe to dar hai kahi uski taiji ne use aane nahi diya to...he feared and thampped on the bed while thinking how possibility to not coming to Naina in the farewell.

Munna - tu dar kyo raha hai, Naina zarur aayegi, bas tu aaj use dekhate hi propose kar dena yaar,  aaj bhi uske emotion ko samjhane ki koshish me mat lage rahna... kahi tera usko samjhana bhari na pad jaye...he adviced him in a serious voice as looking his tense face.

Sameer - tu mujhe shant kar raha hai ki dara raha hai... he chided him.

Munna - tere dimag me samajh dal raha hu, nahi to aaj tu use propose karne ki jagah usse milne aur uske saath time bitane ke liye tadap raha hota... he said in a stern voice.

Sameer - ab bas bhi kar, aur kitna sunayega, ho gai galti mujh se...khush... he replied while got up from the bed and went to mirror again checked him.

Nanaji - kis se galti ho gai bhai... Nanaji said as entering the room with holding a plate of jalebi.

Munna - ye Sameer se... dekhiye na nanaji aaj tak isne Naina ko apne dil ki baat nahi batayi aur aaj dar raha hai ki Naina nahi aayi to... he said in a complaining tone while glaring him.

Nanaji - isme na Sameer ki nahi teri galti hai.. ye to hai hi buddhu, hamesha apne dil ki baat samajhne ki jagah usse bhagane ki koshish karta hai... tujhe to isse samjhana chahiye tha na...he said looking to his grandson, who stood near the mirror and bend down his head as regretting his own silliness.

Munna - maine isse bahut samajhaya nanaji, par aap to jante hai ye kitna jiddi hai.. he snapped back.

Nanaji - ab kya pura din muh latka ke hi khada rahega... idhar aa aur aaj meri hone wali bahu ko kya kahte ho tum log... ha propose kar ke hi aana... he said and opened his arm for embrace.

Sameer ran towards Nanaji and hugged him with hiding his face of him. They both apart from the embrace by hearing Munna chirping voice.

Nanaji - shubh kam se ja rahe ho to muh mitha to karke jao...he said happily. Then he fed Jalebi to Sameer and then to Munna. They were both enjoying with Nanaji.

Nanaji - dekho 2:30 to yahi ho gaye, chalo ab tum dono jao aur mere sher aaj himmat karke Naina ko apne dil ki baat data dena, anjaam ki fikar kiye bina... he boosted his confidence while adjusting his tie.

Sameer - ji nanu... and he bending down to touch his feet for received his blessing.

Nanaji - vijayi bhav... he blessed and  caressed his head controlling his laughter but he brust out to laugh as hearing Munna comment.

Munna - nanaji aap ke aashirwad se aisa nahi lag raha hai ye kisi jung pe jaa raha hai... he commented on hearing Nanaji's blessings and seeing Nanaji's laughter, he too laughed.

Sameer glared Munna in anger and grabbed his blazer, dragging Munna out of the room. Soon they both drifted for the college by the car.

Sameer and Munna arrived college on time.  They first saw the decoration upon entering the college campus. The gate was decorated with flowers. Sameer parked the car, then the two proceeded towards the auditorium hall, where the farewell ceremony was held. He was fascinated by the entire way to reach the hall which was decorated with colorful giltering paper and some marigold and roses. As soon as they reached the hall, a large board hung on the side of the entrance of the hall, which was written in the capital letters FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR SESSION 1997 - 1998 STUDENTS.

As they entered the hall, a boy gave them a rose and wished them a bright future. Sameer glanced at the entire hall once and saw that the hall was filled by students and they were discussing among themselves, making small groups. But Sameer's eyes were searching everywhere only for his life Naina and she was nowhere to be seen. He becomes restless wondering that she would not really come. Munna looked at him nervous and patted his shoulder to calm down him. Sameer prayed to God for Naina's arrival at the function.

After 5 minutes, he heard someone taking his name and he turned to see who it was. He found that Sunaina stood with her friend Mitali. He looked at her from head to toe, she wore a long blue gown with heavy make-up.

Sunaina - Sameer kise khoj rahe ho, mai to yanha hu tumhare samne... vaise aaj tum bahut handsome lag rahe ho... she was flirting him as saw him searching to someone.

Sameer - thank you... vaise tum bhi beautiful lag rahi ho... he falsely praised her, but his eyes still searching to Naina.

Then his three other friend joined them and they all started discussing about their future, some explained their plan and others were listening to their plan. They were all engrossed in dreaming and talking about their future. Sameer's eyes were still on the entrance of the hall. It was more than 20 minutes since the function started, but there was no sign of Naina's arrival.

One of his friends asked Sameer why he was looking sad but he denied as saying he was fine and no problem with him. After assuring them he raised his eyebrows and gestured towards Munna as asking about Naina. Munna shook his head in no.

Then Munna excuses everyone to go to search Naina. As his few steps moved, he saw Naina entering the hall with Preeti and Swati. Munna looked back at Sameer and found that Sameer's eyes shone upon seeing Naina and his lips curved a gleeful smile. He looked back to Munna and they both exchanged happiness through the eyes but these were noticed by Sunaina.

Naina - dekha mai kah hi rahi thi hum late ho rahe hai par ye Swati ka kabhi make up pura hi nahi hota... college ke first day bhi issi ki vajah se lete huye the aur aaj bhi... she scolded her to saw the entire hall filled with students and they were probably the last students among entered the auditorium.

Swati - sorry... lekin aaj teri Sameer se baat ho hi jaayegi... pakka tu dar mat kyo Preeti... hum teri setting aaj kara ke hi maanenge ab to khush ho ja... hamari topper... she apologised for her fault with teasing her.

Sameer was moving towards Naina, but Sunaina took him away from Naina to the other side. He protested her pulling but she held his arm tightly as she did not want to let him go to Naina.

In the other side Naina scanned the whole hall as searching to Sameer. After some seconds she found him standing with Sunaina and saw him chatted a boy. She  relaxed a bit after knowing that he had come to the function so she could tell him her feeling. She stared and found him today so handsome in this black suit. She was waiting a right time for tell him about her feeling.

Meanwhile when Sameer caught a glimpse of her and she was standing with Preeti and Swati and chatting with some other girls. He scanned her from head to toe, mesmerized by seeing her in the beautiful Indian outfit. She never saw her in a sari, for the first time today she wore a sari in front of him. She always wore a salwar suit or top and long skirt.

His heart gone throbbing loudly as she looking breathtaking gorgeous and he was stared her without blinking his dark eyes. He wanted to go to her and tell her how much he loves her. But the most irritable person Sunaina was not giving him a chance to go. Munna was gesturing to let him go and told his feeling. He tried several times but his friends were not even leaving him.

Just then Principal Sir entered the hall with some professor and went to the stage. They all sat in the chair before the farewell function started. A girl and a boy came on stage and they called everyone to pay attention to the stage as the function was about to start.

At first both of them honoured the principal and all the professors. Then they thanked all the students for coming to the function and specially welcomed all the students who were to be given farewell. The girl then invited Principal Sir to address all the students. Principal Sir was agreed and the girl gave him the mike.

Principal Sir - Good Afternoon all students... I am very glad to see you all. Aap sab students yahan aakar unn bachhon ko bahut khushi di hai jo hame aaj chhod kar jane wale hai, aur iss function ki rounak badhai... ab mai un students ko kuch kahna chahata hu, jinke liye ye farewell organised kiya gaya hai... mai sabse pahle to ye pray karunga ki aap sab achche mark se pass ho jaye. Aap sab ne apni life ke sabse important 5 sal iss college me bitaye, ab aap iss environment se aage bad kar apni life me aage badenge, sab ki samne bahut chunautiya aayengi par I hope aap sab un sab me success honge aur ek shanadar jeevan jiyenge. Mai aap ke bright future ki kamna karta hu... ab aap sab aaj ki sham enjoy kariye... he gave a encouraging speech to all students. All students clapped when speech finished as gave to respected him.

Sameer and Naina both stood at some distance from each other, having a glimpse of each other in the middle of the speech.  Sameer was standing with some of his friends, Sunaina was not with him at this time. Sunaina was standing in front of Naina with her friends and staring at her angrily in the middle of the speech.

On hearing the next announcement, everyone's attention again went to the stage. This time the boy announced and all the students heard him shouting.

Boy - ab mai us students ko yanha bulana chahata hu, jisne apne mark se hamesha college ka maan badhaya, jo har ek student ke liye ideal hai inn sabke saath jo hamare college ke president hai... anyone guess who is...

And everyone shouting Sameer name with cheerful voice, the hall echoed only one name that was Sameer.

Boy - So friends your guess is right... So Sameer Maheshwari please come on the stage and share your college life experience with all of us... Please welcome Sameer Maheshwari.

Sameer heard his name first shocked, then he glanced at Naina who was clapping and a beautiful smile came on her face as hearing his name. Seeing her alluring face his heart rejoiced and his feet unknowingly moving towards the stage.

All the students clapped when he arrived on the stage and he proceeded towards the mike but the boy come to him and gave him the mike. Now he was standing at the centre of the stage, first he glanced at Naina then others.

Sameer - Good evening Principal sir and all my professors. And Good evening to all my dear friends and thanks you come to the function. Mai apne baare me kuch batau isse pahle mai apne respected professors ko dhanyawad karna chahunga, kyoki aaj mai ya aap sabhi jo yahan hai, wo inn hamare respected professor ki badaulat hai... mai apne dil se aap sabhi ka shukriya karta hu, ki aap ne hum sab ki shararato ko jhelate huye hame is kabil banaya ki hum aage apni life me aane wali mushkil ka samna kar aage bad sake... thank you to Principal Sir and all my professor... and everyone clapping with praised him then he again continued.

Sameer - Maine apne zindagi ke sabse khubsurat pal bitaye hai iss college me, school ki padhai to maine apne family se dur rah ke kiya tha par college ki padhai apne nanu ke sath rah ke complete kiye hai isliye iss college me bitaya har pal mujhe hamesha yaad rahenge. Iss college ne mujhe meri zindagi se milwaya hai, jise mai kabhi nahi bhul sakta... and his eyes fixed on Naina that was reflecting only love and care. He took a deep breath then continued.

Sameer - Ab mai apne juniors ko yahi advice dunga ki padhai hamare liye bahut jaroori hai, hamse hamare parents ko bahut umeedein hoti hai, to aap sab bekar ki baaton pe dhyan na dekar padhai achchhe se kariye... yahi aage jakar hamari life ke decision lene me help karta hai...So I gave you only one advice please pay attention your studies otherwise you will regret your future.... Once again thanks to all professors and my juniors, who made my day special...he gave the speech in impressive voice with smiling face. His eyes stucked to Naina when he said about his life.

When Naina sensed his eyes on her then she bowed her eyes and she did not have the courage to look up at him. Seeing this Preeti and Swati teased her.

Preeti - aaye haaye... dekh to Swati koi sharma raha...Naina... Sameer ki nazare to tujhse hat hi nahi rahi, kya jadoo kiya tune... she teased her with murmuring her ear.

Naina - chup na koi sun lega... she chided as hid her blushing.

The girl who was declaring on the stage she had something whispered near the boy standing with her. And the boy approached Sameer as he was going to go down from the stage, but he stopped him and said.

Boy - Sameer suna hai aap bahut achchha guitar bajate hai, to please aaj last baar guitar ke saath kuch suna dijiye, please... he requested him with polite smile.

Sameer - nahi... mujh se nahi ho payega... college ke shuru me bajata tha, ab bahut sal ho gaye hai bajaye to mujh se sach me nahi ho payega... he protested his request with politely, but the all students also requested.

Here Naina was shocked to know his new talent. Then same time Preeti whispered her ear "thuje pata tha..". Naina nodded her head in a no and lifted up her head looking on the stage.

At the same time Sameer too saw Naina and their eyes met. She made her face with saying please. He smiled to see her puppy face and he agreed. He thought that Naina might be impressed by his singing.

Sameer - par guitar...he said while looking towards the boy.

Boy - ye lijiye guitar bhi aa gaya, ab to aap ko gana sunana hi padega...He handed him the guitar and went to the side on the stage.

But Sameer was hesitated to singing in front of the professors and Principal Sir. Principal Sir understood his hesitation.

Principal - Sameer tum bina jhijhak ke koi bhi gana ga sakte hai, hamare yanha hone se mat sankoch karo. Hum sabko tumhe sunke bahut khushi hogi... iske bad tumhe guitar bajate aur gate kaha sun payenge... he assured him while giving him some courage, that he could sing openly.

Then all the lights were dimmed and only one light was the focus on Sameer and he started singing a song while playing the guitar. This song reflected his inner turmoil.

He saw straightly into Naina eyes. He lost in her deep eyes. Naina too saw him and lost in his melodious voice.

Naina lost in the song also and wondered how was the song perfectly suited her present condition.

He remembered his initial days when he fighting his inner turbulence as his restless nights.

And lastly his eyes met her eyes and they lost in each other's.

Everyone clapped when the song ended and they come out their dream world. After that Principal Sir and other professors left the hall saying the enjoying the evening. The function was going on smoothly and everyone was busy their group.

After coming down from the stage, he wanted to go to Naina but he was surrounded by some boys, so he could not go. Munna somehow managed to separate Sameer from the boys so that he could talk to Naina about his feeling.

Other side Preeti and Swati were forcing to Naina for went to Sameer and telling her feeling.

Preeti - Naina ja na... nahi to ye sham aise hi chali jayegi... she said impatiently. Naina was too desperate to tell her feeling.

Swati - ja Naina ...Iss se achchha mauka nahi milega Sameer abhi akela hai... she said, looked at Sameer alone.

Naina - ha.. ha.. ja rahi hu... saans to lene do... she scolded them as she was restless  thinking about how to share her feeling.

But their conversation was heard by Sunaina and she was fuming in anger. She wondered how she would snatch Sameer from her, Sameer is only her. She immediately planned to stop Naina from going to Sameer.

Naina was somehow taking courage going to Sameer, but she stopped hearing Sameer name from Sunaina's mouth. Sunaina was talking to her friend Mitali and laughing to take Sameer name. Naina was standing away from them, so that they could not see her and she started listening to their conversation. Her mind was saying it was wrong but Sameer's name had stopped her. At that time, she could not understand anything right or wrong.

Sunaina - Mitali tujhe pata hai... kal mai kiske ghar gayi thi?...guess kar yaar... she said with smirking.

Mitali - nahi pata yaar tu hi bata de...she asked.

Sunaina - Sameer ke ghar... She said with excitement.

Mitali - kya? ...par kyo?... she surprised.

Sunaina - wo...Nanaji... i mean Sameer ke Nanaji ne papa ko bulaya, koi important baat karni thi... she said a serious voice.

Mitali - kya baat karne?... she immdieatly asked.

Sunaina - mere aur Sameer ke rishte ki baat karne... she said glancing to Naina and she was shy.

Naina was numbed at that place and her eyes got mist with controlling her tears.

Mitali - aur Sameer ne kuch nahi kaha, mujhe to laga tha wo Naina ko pasand karta hai...she asked in slow voice.

Sunaina - nahi ... Infact nanaji ne use puchha bhi, aur usne kaha use ye rishta manzoor hai... Sameer ka standard dekha hai, wo kabhi bhi Naina jaisi middle class ladki se shaadi nahi karega... ha dosti hi kar sakta hai, iske aage ka vo sochega bhi nahi...She said loudly so that Naina can hear properly.

Mitali - achchha... mujhe laga tha Sameer... but Sunaina cut her sentences in between.

Sunaina - aur tujhe pata hai, result aane ke bad hamari shaadi hogi... she said with happiness as showing to Naina.

Sunaina and Mitali left from there and Naina stood there for a while trying to absorb her words. She was immersed in her mind when someone put her hand on her shoulder and she turned back to look at the person.

Preeti - tu yanha kyo khadi hai, gai nahi Sameer ke pass... she inquired.

Swati - kab se hum dono tujhe yanhi khada hua dekh rahe hai, gai kyo nahi?... she asked worriedly.

But Naina did not react their questions and stood here still numb. Preeti shook her when saw no respond towards her.

Preeti - bol na kya hua, kahi Sunaina ne to kuch nahi kaha na... she asked concernly  seeing her condition.

And Naina narrated the whole conversation to Sunaina and Mitali. Both of them heard to her silently and shocked.

Swati - kya... matlab sach me Sameer us Sunaina se shaadi karega... she surprised.

Preeti - Mujhe uski iss bat pe bharosha nahi hai... tum dono hi socho agar aisa kuch hota to kya aaj Sameer, Naina ko dekhata...Naina tune bhi notice kiya hoga jab se tu aai hai tab se wo thujhe hi dekh raha tha aur wo gana ga raha tha tab bhi uski nazar tujh pe hi thi.. kyo Swati tune bhi notice kiya tha na... she opposed.

Swati - ha, maine bhi dekha tha...Naina meri maan tu iss bare me sidhe Sameer ko puchh... agar ye baat sach hui to apni feeling mat batana, lekin aisa nahi hoga to tu phir Sameer ko bata dena, iss bar der mat karna... she suggested.

Preeti - Naina...Swati sahi bol rahi hai...Tu ja ab der mat kar... is Sunaina ka koi bharosha nahi... she panicked.

Naina - ha tum dono thik kah rahe ho... ek baar try to kar hi sakti hu..at least baad me pachhatana na pade... she said in determination. She hugged them.

On the other hand, Sameer was standing with Munna and was about to go towards Naina. Then a boy came and informed him that the Principal Sir was calling. He left reluctantly and he said Munna to see Naina.

When Naina was searching Sameer in the hall, then she collided with Mitali.

Mitali - kya hua Naina kuch pareshan lag rahi ho... kisi ko khoj rahi ho kya... she asked her with gentle smile.

But Naina did not say anything. She started moving there and she stopped hearing her voice.

Mitali - Sameer ko dundh rahi ho... abhi maine use Principal office ki taraf jate huye dekha tha... she informed as per Sunaina direction. But she was feel guilt to separate the two pure soul.

Naina left to the Principal office without uttering a word. She was not believe her words but did not any option to her, so she walked towards to the Principal office. She reached the office after few minutes later.

As soon as Sunaina saw Naina coming, she went inside the office and hugged Sameer.  Sunaina's gaze was towards the door so that she could easily see Naina, and Sameer's back was facing the door.

Naina was stunned when her eyes landed to  Sunaina and Sameer, they were engulfing in each other's embrace and Sunaina expressed her love to Sameer.

Sunaina - I love you Sameer, mai bata nahi sakti mai kitni khush hu... thank you Sameer tumne aaj mera din bana diya... aur wo gana bhi mere liya hi tha na. Mai janti thi tum bhi mujhe pyaar karte ho, par propose karne se dar rahe the... she said when saw Naina at the door and tightened the embrace.

Naina looking at the whole scenario, she was rooted on the spot, her mind got blank, her whole body became numb. She did not know how to react what she saw and heard. She felt, she would be collasping on the floor any time soon, but she managed herself and left the place. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She did not know where she was going, she wanted to leave the college immediately so she composed herself and went inside the hall. She went straight to Preeti and mumbbled something.

Naina - Preeti mai ghar ja rahi hu... she informed her and started going to out of the hall.

Preeti and Swati felt something wrong so they both ran behind her. She barely reached the college entrance that they caught her.

Preeti - Naina kya hua... bata.. tu aise bhag kyo rahi hai... kahi Sameer ne mana to nahi kiya... she panicked.

Swati - chup kyo hai... she said in a little loud tone.

But Naina could not hold her emotion no longer and she heart out of crying. She shattered as her dream was destroyed. She wanted to leave everything and run away. She was unable to talk to them, so she only cried with a shivering figure. Preeti immediately embraced seeing her crying and trembling. Naina wanted to hide in her embrace and she sobbed. Preeti and Swati were frightened to see her and they both come with Naina to the college garden, which no one could see them.

In the office, Sameer shocked to this sudden hug by Sunaina. He first did not decipher what happened to him. But as he heard to Sunaina words, he understood the situation. He wanted to break the hug but Sunaina again held him tightly. After much effort he successd to separate her from him. But he was unaware that the damage had been done, which changed his life completely.

Sameer - Sunaina ye kya kar rahi to tum... dekho mai tum se pyaar nahi karta, mere man me tumhare liye aisi koi bhi feeling nahi hai... Please Sunaina try to understand...I love someone... par tum hamesha se meri ek achchhi dost thi aur aage bhi rahogi... At frist he shouted on her then he explained her in a soft voice as he did not wanted to hurt Sunaina by his rejection.

Sameer walked out of the Office and Sunaina lips curled into evil smile. She said to herself.

Sunaina - Sameer tumhe kya lagta hai maine tumhe propose kiya, nahi Mr. Sameer Maheshwari ye to maine tum se badla lene ke liye kiya tha.. tumne mujhe reject kiya uss middle class ladki ke liye, sab ke samne meri insult ki, wo aaj ki aai ladki mujh se jyada important ho gayi... tumhe to pata bhi nahi Sameer maine jo aaj kiya hai na, uss se ab tum dono kabhi nahi mil paoge...Jab bhi kuch aisa hoga mai tum dono ko phir alag kar dungi... ye Sunaina Parekh ka apne aap se vada hai...Sameer tumhare jeevan me kabhi khushiyan nahi aayengi... she said in  hatefully and glanced the way where sameer was gone.

Sameer walked through corridor and arrived to the hall for confessed to Naina. Now he was restless to tell her because unknown fear gripped his heart and he felt something going be wrong with them. As he steps inside the hall first searched Naina and she did not found anywhere. He saw Munna who chatting his friends. He dragged the Munna a isolated spot and asked about Naina.

Sameer - Naina kahan hai... dikh nahi rahi kahi, maine tujhe nazar rakhane ko kaha tha na. Ek kam nahi hota tujh se... his voice clearly visible fear when he did not found Naina in the whole auditorium.

Munna - Naina ko maine hall se bahar jate dekha, mujhe laga tere pass gayi hogi... tu nahi mila abhi tak usse... he said too panicked.

Sameer - Naina to nahi mili mujhe, na hi pure raste kahi dikhi... aur to aur Preeti aur Swati bhi nahi dikhai de rahi, kahi teeno chale to nahi gaye... he sounded anxious.

Munna - tu ghabra mat yahi hogi... chal unhe college ke bahar dhundhte hai... he said as calmed his fear.

They both again looked the whole hall and they started moving to out of the hall. Just then a peon came the hall and straightly went to Sameer and informed him.

Peon - Sameer bhaiya apke liye ek phone aaya hai... urgent hai... he said.

Munna and Sameer both tense to hearing about the phone call and they both straight rushed to the office.

After a while in the garden, Naina's cry subsided. So Preeti and Swati looked at her with a confused face. Naina did not want to say anything.

Preeti - bol na..Naina.. kya hua... aise boot ban ke kyo baithi hai... bol... Please... ab to mujhe bhi dar lag raha hai... mai us Sameer ko chhodungi nahi... kya kiya usne...bata... she asked in a heavy voice. She got emotional looked at her condition.

Swati - ha..Naina please kuch to bata...She took her hands as comforting her.

And Naina saw their worried face and
Naina understood their concern and she told them what happened at the office. She again cried as narrating the whole incident. Preeti consoled her and her heart wrenched.

Naina - sab khatam ho gaya Preeti, mere saare sapne tut gaye, Sameer ne kyo kiya aisa, kyo usne itni chinta dikhayi, kyo usne meri itni fikar kari jab sab ek jhatake me hi todna tha... bol na Preeti.. kyo kiya... she devastated as her heart broken. She did not know what she was saying. Her every words was come out of her broken heart.

Preeti - ye Sameer ne sahi nahi kiya, jab tere liye uske man me koi feeling thi hi nahi to koi aise dikhata tha ke jaise tu uske liye bahut important hai... kyo ki usne dosti.. mera bas chale to mai to use jinda na chhodu... usne meri Naina ka dil toda hai...She was fuming in anger and clenched her fist for beating the Sameer.

Swati - ha Preeti tu sahi kah rahi hai...Sameer ne galat kiya hai... she blamed Sameer for her heart broken.

When Naina heard their cursing for Sameer, she realised that Sameer was only being blamed for breaking her heart. She felt very guilty as she knew that Sameer was not responsible for her condition. She thought she was failed to decipher his pure friendship.

Naina - chup karo tum dono inn  sab me Sameer ki koi galti nahi hai. Sameer ne kabhi kuch galat nahi kiya, usne to hamesha as a friend hi care aur concern jataya tha... aaj jo kuch bhi hua na un sab ki jimmedar mai hi hu, mai hi inn sab ko pyaar samajh baithi...She said with a heavy heart. She could not see anyone blaming Sameer

Preeti - Naina isme teri nahi meri galti hai... maine hi tujhe force kiya, tu pahle din hi inn sab me nahi padna chahati thi...She protested her comment as pacified of her heart broken.

Naina - nahi Preeti tu kyo khud ko blame kar rahi hai...sara dosh na meri kismat ka hai, jisme khushiyan likhi hi nahi hai... aur Sameer ne kabhi galat intention diya hi nahi... aaj bhi usne Sunaina ke liye gana gaya tha... tum sab ne bhi to dekha tha Sunaina mere aage khadi to, to obviously wo Sunaina ko hi dekh ke ga raha tha... mujhe laga uski nazare mujh par thi..to ab koi iss baat ke liye Sameer ko blame nahi karega... she explained her thought about Sameer.

Swati - Naina tu apne aap ko dukhi mat kar, shayad Sameer tere layak tha bhi nahi, wo Sunaina hi use deserve karti hai... vaise bhi aaj ke baad Sameer to college me rahega nahi... to tu dhire dhire use bhul jayegi... she said as lightened her mood.

Just then Preeti saw her watch and she horrified.

Preeti - Naina 5 :30 ho gaye, chal tu apna chehara thik kar phir hame ghar jana hai, nahi to hamari hitalar taiji hame zinda nahi chhodegi... she joked as diverting her mind.

But Naina thought in her mind, she had loved Sameer with the core of her heart, she can never forget him. She will always love him, whether Sameer loves her or not. Her love for Sameer will never diminish. Sameer will always be his first and last love.

At that night Naina writing on her diary about the fateful day when everyone drifted their in sleep.

29 April 1998  Friday

Sameer maine jab aapko pahli baar dekha tha, shayad tabhi mujhe aapse pyaar ho gaya tha. Ye baat pahle mai nahi jaan payi thi phir aap se friendship hui, aapke saath time spend karte pata hi nahi chala ki ye feeling kab strong ho gai. Jab apke liye pyaar realise kiya tab iss dar se nahi bataya ki aap mujhe galat samajh kar friendship na tod de... Par ab aap college chhod rahe the to mujh se raha nahi gaya aur aaj apni feeling, apna pyaar confess karne chali thi, ye jane bina ki aap ke dil me kya hai... mai na pagal thi jo aapke pure friendship ko pyaar samajh baithi thi, par aaj jo hua usse at least mai us bhram se bahar aa gai nahi to galat ummeed me rahati.

Sameer aap bahut achchhe hai aur mera pyaar aapke liye sachcha tha Sameer, aap hamesha mera pahla aur aakhari pyaar hai aur rahenge. Mere dil me aap ek khubsurat yaad ke rup me rahenge. Aisi yaad jo kabhi meri life ka hissa nahi ban sakta. Aaj ke din ko mai hamesha meri life ka sabse kharab din ke rup me yaad rakhungi... kyoki.. maine aaj apna pyaar kho diya, maine mere Sameer ko kho diya. Mera Sameer kisi aur ka ho gaya.

Meri kismat hamesha se aisi hi hai, jinhe apne paas rakhana chaha wo dur hote gaye... pahle mammy, phir papa aur aaj Sameer. Taiji sahi kahti hai mai ek manhoos hu tabhi to sab mujhse dur ho jate hai.

Par mai itni selfish nahi hu Sameer, maine aap ko dil se chaha hai aur aap ki khushiyan mere liye bahut mayane rakhati hai, mai hamesha pray karungi ki aap Sunaina ke saath hamesha khush rahe Sameer.

And few tear drops fell on the page causing the ink to spill. She closed the diary and stepped onto the balcony to share the pain with the moon. She heard a song playing on the radio somewhere, which was perfect on her life.
