The minute she woke up Preetha got busy with Rishi hurrying her for breakfast and practice and then dress rehearsals. She spent her day running here and there.

As the evening approched, the college premises is bustling with noise and people. The loud speakers,lights,cars and arcades became a part of the night.

The huge hall which gotta see the final stage of competition is ready with students and guests.

All the teams are in the green room nervously waiting for their call. Boys are in black shirt and black slacks looking handsome. The girls choose different color party dresses to match them.

Rishi is sitting with his hands entwined, anxiety raised when he heard,

Sandy: Preetha!

Rishi suddenly stands and looks for her with a anxious smile but he doesn't find anyone.He looks at his friends who burst into laughter seeing his eagerness.

He glares at them while they come on either side of him putting their hands on his shoulder,

Sandy(teases): Kiskeliye dundh rahe ho?

Rishi swats his hand while he again puts it,

Vicky: Itna nervous kyun?

Rishi: I am ...not nervous.

Sandy(wiping the sweat on his forehead): Then what is this? Juice?

Rishi gets annoyed,

Vicky: Remember you are Rishi Kapoor. King of romance. You should not be nervous.

He tries to calm him,

Sandy: At worst she would say I like someone else whose name is Sandeep. That's it!

Rishi swats his hand again,

Rishi: She has a better taste.

Sandy: That's the reason she would choose me.

And this continues as Sandy is bent on making Rishi angry,

Sandy: I will complain to Preetha. Wait and see what she will do.

Rishi rolls his eyes and goes to sit on his place closing his eyes,

Sandy: Preetha....dekho na Rishi kya kar rai mere saath!

Rishi ignores him when after few minutes he feels a hand on his shoulder,

Rishi: Stop it S...

He gets up angrily ready to slam him when he himself gets shocked seeing Preetha.

She is wearing a dark blue shimmering dress reached upto mid thighs. Her hair is free with a thin silver band. With the minimum accessories, she looked enthralling.

A word couldn't slip his mouth while Preetha sees him confused,

Preetha: Teddy.....teddy....

She shakes him when he comes into senses,

Rishi: H....h...ha...ha!

Preetha: Kya hua?

His friends come forward stifling their laugh,

Vicky: Preetha puch rahi hein.Kya hua Rishi?

Sandy(holding her through shoulder): thum aise behave kar rahe ho jaise thumne ek devil ko dekha hein. She is our Preetha not some devil.

Sandy is really checking his limits and he glares him badly,

Preetha: What? Am I not looking good?

Rishi: N.....no! You are looking beautiful. Just beautiful!

Preetha: You are all looking good too except  (looking at Sandy) this chimpanzee!

And she walks to the girls chuckling while the boys burst into laughter.

Everyone compliment her but she is waiting for someone who didn't show up yet. As they are in green room she couldn't go to the hall. She just sits there sighing.

After an hour, the host welcomes the chief guest and announces for their performance.

The three teams get on to the stage with main pairs at the front.

By the end everyone in the crowd does the hook step with the teams on the stage. For the end lines, the three teams gets mingled ready  to change their partners with the other teams.

Preetha whirls around to move to Farhan only to get shocked to see herself in Karan's arms.

Her eyes go wide but a smile steals her lips seeing him. But its not same with him.

He twirls her immediately while she feels that his hold is not so gentle and caring.

He is not giving her a chance to look at him.When he pulls her back and dips her that's when she gets a chance to see his eyes which have an unknown and unseen emotion in them......anger!

He is angry!

He turns her,twirls her,whirls her but they are more like he wants her to know he is angry and she did. She felt like the background song is describing them and when she is thinking what went wrong she felt herself pulled away from the crowd and the hall.

She didn't understand why and where he is taking.They are now walking on an empty corridor and he takes her to an empty class room before closing it.

Preetha: Ka....

Karan: Shhh!

Before she speaks, karan hushes her. Her tongue gets tied seeing his angry state while he takes deep breaths not to readily burst on her. After a minute,

Karan: Where were you last night?

Preetha: At R....Rishi's house.

Karan: Where's your phone?

Preetha: I don't know.

Karan: You don't know.

She said the truth but his answer felt like a mock to her,

Karan: But I know!

He takes her phone from his pocket surprising her,

Karan: Do you know how I got it?

Preetha slightly nods no,

Karan: From the police.

She frowns thinking where could she lost it,

Preetha: M.....maybe it fell somewhere on the road.

Karan: Not on the road but beside two brutally beaten notorious criminals.

She quickly realizes he is talking about the guys she encountered yesterday.Her eyes widen knowing about them whom she thought as some bad boys are actually criminals.

Karan: How did it reach there?

Preetha: T.....they attempted to capture us but we managed to escape.

His eyes widen slightly at her information and some thoughts ran in his mind making him take a step closer glaring at her,

Karan(slow but stern): Someone attacked you and you are telling me now?

She steps back, he is not giving her a chance to talk,

Karan: What if you couldn't escape?

He steps closer,

Karan: What if there were many?

She steps back,

Karan: What if they did something to you?

She doesn't have answers to any of his questions because they seemed dangerous and his low but sharp voice is not helping at all.A glint of fear appears in her eyes and she touches the back of the white board,

Preetha: Karan stop it! I am getting scared.

Unable to see his angry form and unable to think about the possibilities of his reasonable questions she admitted.

And that's the last thread for Karan,

Karan(gritting teeth): Why are you being scared? When I should be the one feeling every damn thing for you while you would be busy dancing with your friends.

She breathes when Karan takes a back step, little did she knew it's too early to get relieved,

Karan(loudly): You did a single call yesterday and that's it. You got disappeared.When I was calling you after waiting for your call the whole evening some officer lifts it and says that your phone is lying beside two unconscious criminals at a deserted area and it's in police custody. What was I supposed to feel hearing it?

The ground beneath my feet shook dammit!

I ran to them without caring about my reputation but those rascals didn't open their eyes. I was searching for you on the roads worried to death thinking what happened to you while you were enjoying with your friend without any care in the world.

He stresses every 'you' accusing her while Preetha is gobsmacked listening what he went through. He becomes out of control remembering how her sister called to inform about her safety when he was distressed. He holds her through arms and pulls her,

Karan(yelling): How can you be so careless ha? Do you think you are a common girl? Do you think you can do whatever you want? Do you think no one is worried for you as you are away from your family? Then let me bring you to the reality. You are not a commoner but a C.O.O of the biggest medical chain.You are not Preetha Arora anymore but Preetha Karan Luthra. You can't do whatever you want because you carry the pride of two big families. Do you get that?

His voice increases with every single line.
He is letting out his frustration.

They both look at each other more, he is showing his anger but Preetha is not ready to take his accusations.
She got angry as he is thinking her of as an irresponsible girl. She is the COO she is always accountable and yesterday's events are not her mistakes,

Preetha(sternly): I know who am I karan. I don't need anyone to remind me.

He didn't expect this response and that sharp looks from her and this enhanced his anger, he pulls her again,

Karan(whispering): Ofcourse. You don't need anyone.

He pauses,she waits for him to continue only to get released from his hold,

Karan: Then what am I doing here?

Glaring at her for one last time he turns back,opens the door and walks away.

She didn't realize the meaning behind his words and when she did he already left. She hastily strides onto the corridors looking out for him only to meet empty corridors and faint blaring shouts.  

Her eyes wander on the campus roads only to see his car zooming out.

Preetha: You didn't even listen to me!

Wiping the tiny drops at the corners,she decides to go home hoping he would be there.

She turns and gets surprised seeing the man in white suit standing before her exalted.

Preetha: Dad!

He slightly smile at her which makes her comfortable,

Preetha(going to him): What are you doing here?

Man(correcting his suit): Chief Guest of the Evening.

She smiles at his action,

Preetha: I didn't knew it.

Man: You are so into my son. How could you know?

And he is Mahesh Luthra.

He teases her but Preetha's smile drops. Mahesh knew something happened between them as he saw Karan taking her out from the hall.

Mahesh: Don't worry. He will be back.He is just upset.

He hugs her and Preetha hugs him back calming herself when she realizes something,

Preetha: He will be back?

Mahesh hesitates,

Mahesh: H....he is going to London tonight.

And this is a shocking news for her as he didn't even tell her about his trip.

Mahesh: Everything will be alright beta. Don't think about it.

She doesn't respond,

Mahesh: All are waiting for the Chief Guest. Shall we?

He is trying to lighten her,

Preetha: I wanna go home dad.

Mahesh(surprised): Don't you wanna know who is the winner?

Preetha: I participated just for my friends dad not for the title. Can you send me home?

Mahesh smiles sadly,

Mahesh: Car will be waiting for you downstairs. Take rest.

He says soothing her hair and she nods controlling her wet eyes.

Bidding him bye, she leaves to Their home.Luthra Mansion.

All the formalities are completed before he reached the airport. Karan directly walks inside and boards his plane.

She walks inside the stunning but silent mansion and gets into her room.Their room.

Freshening up, she changes into night clothes and stands outside at the pool area. She is thinking about his anger when her eyes lands on the reflection of half moon shining in the water. Instantly,she looks up.

The plane is all dark and Karan closes his eyes thinking about her anger. He feels something and snaps aside with a frown.His annoyance instantly melts looking at the moon gleaming in the night.

The silver crescent makes them travel back into the time from where it all started.
