Having a beautiful time with Karan,Preetha goes out first taking her bag from the locker and walking towards the exit.As she passes the desk she glances at the librarian who is busy in register, noticing Preetha and her happy eyes she winks at her while she winks back with red cheeks.

Looking at her watch she fastens her pace and sits beside Rishi entering the class,

Preetha(excited): Hey Teddy....... Ready to rock?

Rishi is surprised seeing her happy and confused what is she asking about,

Rishi: Huh?

Preetha(showing a Mike with her hand): Gaane keliye!

Veeksha: Thumhe kaise pata.Msg abhi aaya tha na wo bhi Rishi ko.

Preetha: Library mam ne bathaya mujhe.

Vicky: Favourite student tag ka fayda heina!

She smiles,

Sandy: I also wanna be a favourite student!

Preetha: Usskeliye thum looks se zyada books pe concentrate karna hoga!

Sandy: In that case I can't.Looks are as important as books you know.

He says setting his hair,

Preetha: So sad you lack both!

They chuckle while he doesn't understand what she said,

Sandy: What?

Seeing his expression their chuckle turns to laugh.Rishi sees Preetha who is laughing happily,he feels happy and surprised,

Preetha: Kya hua? Kyun aise dekh rahe ho?

Rishi: Thum bathao.....thumhe kya hua?

Preetha frowns smiling,

Rishi: Kuch dinose thoda stressed lag rahi thi kuch der pehle bhi lekin ab tho full masti kar rahi ho.Aise kya hua kuch hi samay mein haa?

Preetha(acting): Kuch kuch hua thum samaj nai paaogi Teddy!

She says keeping one hand at her heart and another on his cheek as if he is a child which makes Rishi tap her head,

Rishi: Thum na pagal hogayi ho!

Preetha (showing her tongue): Thumse zyada nai!

She shows her tongue while he looks at her,

Rishi(mind): Haa pagal hu .......thumhareliye.Pata nai kab iss pagal pan chodega mujhe? Shayd jab mein thumhe bolunga tab.....par kab kahu mein?

He is thinking in his mind,

Preetha: Acha chalo kis song select kar rahe ho thum?

And like that forgetting everything they went into discussion.

STAGE-1

Whole college is ready for the first stage with much enthusiasm. Stage,Instruments,hosts,panel of judges everything is set and the competition starts by calling the first group.

As it goes by Karan enters and directly goes to his group,

Karan: So ready?

They see each other nervously,he observes this,

Karan: What happened? 

Farhan : Sir....until now all the groups sang very well.We practiced hard though we lack good singers but seeing the performances now we think....

He stops while Aadya finishes,

Aadya: we can't make it.

He sighs,

Karan(looking at each of them): So?

Farhan: We want to leave.Its clear that we can't even compete with them.Why to waste time and get humiliated unnecessarily?

Karan nods expecting the same,

Karan: See........the biggest failure is giving up not losing.We are in the first stage and you people are giving up now itself. Presenting what you practiced is important not the result.Don't give up whatever you did just show it on the stage and forget about the result. If we make it, it will be our first win and don't think about what if we can't just think that we can.Remember.......I am always there to support you.

All gets calm listening his words and a hope raises in them,

Farhan: We will do our best Sir.

Aadya: Sir.......

Before she says anything Karan listens something and immediately looks onto the stage.

Host: Fighters did well and now the next ones are The Claws.

He looks on as the Claws enters and Preetha finally shows up in stripped beige top and white jeans with clipped loose hair and studs.

He smiles looking at her but frowns when he sees her stopping behind the mic.Is she going to sing?

Preetha is so nervous seeing the crowd.She can handle quizzes,presentations, elocutions anything related to studies but singing is not her cup of tea.She sometimes humms along with Rishi and never took it seriously but today seeing herself behind the mic she can't believe what she is doing.

She looks at Rishi who is giving final instructions to their group and scholds him in mind "It's all because of you".

A day before

Preetha is walking along the capus road while Rishi is beside,walking with her facing her sidewards,

Preetha: No ....

                Nooo...

                Nooooo...
   
                Nooooooo....

Rishi: Kyun?

           Kyuun?

           Kyuuuun?

           Kyuuuuuun?

She glares at him for mimicking her actions,

Preetha: Meine kabhi gaya nai aur wo bhi stage pe tho kabhi nai.

Rishi: Isiliye tho keh raha hu ab gaao.You have good voice and I know you can pronunce the words well.Just try it once.

Preetha suddenly stops and looks at him,he also stops hoping she will listen him,

Rishi (hopefully) : Ok?

She gives a smile,

Preetha: Not ok!

And again continues walking while he gets annoyed but still follows her,

Rishi: Arey ek baar try karega tho kya hojayega ha?

Preetha: ham chance nai le sakthe Teddy.Agar mein ache se nai gaayi tho ham 1st stage pe hi eliminate hojayenge.I don't want that.

Rishi: Thum kyun soch rahe ho ki thum ache se gaa nai paoge haa? You will sing well I am telling you right!

Preetha (irritated): Kyun thum iss topic ko nai chodthe ho? Meine kahana mujhe gaana nai fir gaana nai.Bas!

Rishi: Kya bas? Kuch bas vas nai hein.....thum ga rahe ho.bas!

Preetha: Thum hi kaha na kuch bas vas nai hein......so kuch nai hein.Mein nai gaaungi.

She increases her speed when Rishi comes infront of her stopping her to move,

Rishi(stubbornly): Mein bhi dekhunga thum kaise nai gaaoge?

She angrily looks at him and moves right he also moves right,she moves left he moves left and totally blocks her from moving.

Preetha: Teddy mujhe bahot gussa aa rahi hein.Move.

Rishi: Ha bolo aur jaao.

Preetha: Nai

Rishi: Ok!

He again stops her from moving,she is fuming so stomping her leg she goes to sit on the small wall beside the footpath.Smiling himself,he too sits beside her.

After a while,

Preetha(crying face): Why do you want me to sing?

Rishi (looking at her face): I want you to sing for me.

She looks at his eyes when he kneels before her and holds her hands,

Rishi: Please Mickey mereliye gaao na.Please!

Seeing her best friend requests and efforts she couldn't have any other option, 

Preetha(annoyed): Acha bolo kya gaana hein?

Rishi's eyes widen in happiness and he kisses her hands immediately,

Rishi: I know that Mickey thum mere baath kabhi nai daaloge.

And he hugs her kneeling while she hugs him back sighing and smiling.

By that time she remembers how he convinced her, Rishi comes back and checks both the mikes,he sees Preetha nervous so holds her hand and smiles at her,

Rishi: Don't be nervous.We will rock I know that.

Preetha slightly nods but looks at the crowd of students for Karan.She couldn't see him because of her tensed mind which makes her slightly upset.

Rishi: Mickey ready?

Finding no sign of Karan,she holds the solitaire chain adorning her neck once closing her eyes. Praying to god for a second,she gets ready herself and the music starts.

As soon Vicky plays the guitar, Rishi starts singing.Students mainly girls shout as it's one of their favourite songs.

And it's a surprise when Preetha takes on after Rishi closing her eyes. Everyone is surprised as her voice seemed perfect for the song so they begin encouraging her by clapping.

Rishi and Preetha combinedly finishes the song with lots of hoots,claps and whistles from the students.

Host: Wow that is a wonderful performance by the business students.Did you enjoyed guys?

Crowd: Yeah!

Farhan: Wow man.Just wow......I didn't know Preetha can sing.She was too good.

Karan is so happy listening the compliments from not only his team but everyone in the Audi are appreciating her.

Aadya (irritated): Leave about them Farhan...... concentrate on us.I am sure after this our song will be no match to it. What should we do now?

She is right and they nod as they don't know what to do in the last minute,

Karan: I know what to do!

He says to them and smiles seeing Preetha who is talking with her friends.

Host: Going to the last performance.....this is also from business students and they are The Wings.

Aadya and group enters the stage with her occupying the mic and her group with the instruments.They are so eager and excited mainly Aadya who smirks seeing Preetha.

Preetha observes and thinks what is she doing when she saw Karan behind the other mic.Its a shock not only to her but all the MBA students.

Karan: Good Evening everyone.Glad to see you all here.I am sorry about a change in our group.Actually we don't have perfect male singers so I thought why shouldn't I take part as Mr.Rishi Mehra from the claws is also doing two roles as a Mentor and as a group member.I hope its not a problem.

The judges take his point valid and accept him but said his performance is not counted for scoring them as Karan is a lecturer and Rishi is a student.He thanks them and after few seconds Farhan starts playing the keyboard.

Listening the tune the students shout loudly,

And the first line is enough to make them go all gaga.M.B.A students are flabbergasted including Preetha who stood rooted to her place.

He sings with happiness in his face and smile in his eyes that everyone swoons over his voice and face.

Aadya sings thinking about her fondness for Karan.

He glances at Preetha once,

A smile steals his lips as soon as he sees her.

As they start the last verse the crowd sings along with them showing how much they liked the song.They finish with big smiles on their faces and a huge cheer for them.

They come down the stage and everyone admires them as they walk to go to their allotted place.The group is so happy seeing the response that they hug each other with shouts once they reach their table.Karan is happy looking at them,this win and appreciations are needed to increase their confidence and prepare them for the coming stages.

Karan looks at Preetha but she is not there with her group.He is looking around when the group thanks Karan.He smiles at them and searches for Preetha but finds her nowhere.Seeing that there is time for results and also his team is not in a mood to settle down for a while he goes out looking for her.
