It was another rescue mission to the noble team, they all managed to locate and free the captured ODST troops from a covenant battle cruiser ship. The mission was simple to the noble team find them and escape as soon as possible.

At the moment the Noble team were currently running in a hallway, inside the battle cruiser. The Noble team were running up front, while the ODST troops where behind them, Carter did not want them to be harmed again.

Emile: "who's next!" Emile yelled as he stabbed his Kuri knife into an elite chest. Emile then spotted a jackal in front of him, shooting him. "oh you are defiantly next!" he ran with full speed and he jumped in the air and impaled his kuri into the jackal head. "Whaoo!"

Carter: "Emile, control yourself!"
The commander shouted at him, the noble leader was not impressed by how Emile was acting right now, Carter wanted him to stay focussed and taking things seriously.
Emile: "Oh come on Sir, you know me I always act like this!"
He glanced at his leader from his right shoulder, Carter gave a annoyed look at Emile, even though he had his helmet on.

But before Carter could reply back, he was cut off by his second in command.
Kat: "what the commander is implying is that, we need to get out of here quickly, before the covenant send more reinforcements after us."
Kat ran next to Carter and using her Magnum she headshot a grunt.

Carter and Kat both glanced at each other for a few seconds, but through their helmet both of them were smiling at each other. Six who was just behind the pair, noticed there quick interaction.

Carter: "I knew you would come, and take charge of this situation."
Carter said, impressed by her words because he was about to say the same thing to Emile.
Kat: "what can I say commander, I can read you like a data pad."
She said and reloaded her weapon, and focussed on the entrance of the hallway they just came moments ago.

Carter: "did you listen to what we said Emile."
Carter asked Emile, in a strict tone that was now coming from his voice. Emile turned around and did a quick salute.
Emile: "yes sir!" "and yes miss genius!"

Emile laughed and this time, he remained quiet and close to the team and there was no verbal mouth off coming from the spartan. Kat rolled her eyes, at what Emile said to her, she knew that she did not like to be called ma'am at all.

Kat: "uh he such a child."
Kat said, Six nodded her head, at Kat dry sarcasm.
Six: "true."

Jorge: "sometimes I ask myself, are we raising a mischievous boy in our noble team."
Jorge said joining in the conversation.
Jun: "oh no , not another Jorge and Emile banter again."
Jun teased, as he readied his sniper rifle ready to snipe whatever comes in front of him, at the exit of the hallway.

Carter: "hold." Carter raised his right hand, to signal the team to stop. Inside his helmet Carter HUD was displaying, a communication call.
Jorge: "sir?"
Jorge asked in curiosity, all noble teams and ODST troops looked at

Carter: "It's Holland sounds like a urgent call." Carter answered the call, from the side of his helmet. "Sir Carter here, you called?" Carter looked around while Holland spoke. "new order?" Carter asked surprised by this new change. The team looked and shrugged at what the new order could be. "alright we will get it done sir, Carter out."

The noble leader ended the call, and he got wish of good luck from Holland.                                         
Carter: "alright Noble change of plan, we just got new orders from Holland." He signed and stood still. "our new order is to,  blow this covenant battle cruiser ship from the inside."                   

Kat: "just like the battle of Fumirole."                                                                                                                           
Kat muttered under her breath, it gave her flashback to the awful memory where she lost a her arm. Even though the mission was a success, but the cost was too great. In the end, the noble team lost their original six member of the team Thom.

Carter locked his gaze onto Kat, deep down he knew what was going through Kat mind. He to was also, part in the battle of Fumirole, he and Kat both felt guilty about Thom sacrifice.

Also what made the heartbreak worse for both of them, is when Carter decided to end their relationship, which Kat agreed too in order to focus on the mission, but another side of them wanted them to still continue their relationship.

Deep down they still loved each other, the way they would look at each other, and Carter always allowed Kat to come up with a better idea than his. Before the commander could speak again, his attention was diverted to Jun words.

Jun: "what's up with Holland giving last minute orders?"                                                                                   
Jun asked as he was slightly annoyed by the sudden change of orders.                                                     
Emile: "this shows the man got a bad memory."                                                                                                     
Emile joked, bringing his humour.
Six: "I highly doubt that."
Six said adjusting his rifle.
Jorge: "also we got wounded ODST troops, which we need to get to safety.
Jorge reminded the team, as he was concerned for their health and well being.

Carter: "alright noble team listen up." Carter said he stopped pacing back and forth. "This is the plan, as soon as these doors open, there will be covenant out there for sure." He pointed to Jun. "Jun I want you snipe anything from top floors, there will be jackals for sure."
Jun: "affirmative."
Jun nodded, he was noble best sniper in the team.

Carter: " Emile and Jorge." Carter turned his attention to them. "You two will be responsible of escorting and protecting the ODST troops, onto our pelican safely."
ODST troop: "thank you noble leader."
One of the wounded said, in a grateful manner.

Carter nodded his head, with your welcome gesture.
Jorge: "yes sir, we gladly escort the troops."
Jorge said agreeing to his boss orders.
Emile: "will do sir, me and big man here." Emile gently nudged Jorge on the shoulder  in teamwork manner. "We kill covenant we seen in sight."

Carter: "hmm good to hear." The next order was given to Six the lone wolf. "Six you will be the one to blow the battle cruiser ship."
Six: " yes sir, but what will use as a bomb?"
She asked her superior officer.
Carter: "don't worry, I will use my jet pack here." Carter removed the jet pack from himself. "And Jorge pass me C4 timer bomb please."
Carter ordered, he motioned with his hand for Jorge to pass him a c4 timer bomb.

Jorge passed Carter a c4, which had a number pad to time the bomb to explode.
Carter: "Six you time the bomb, when I tell you, I do not wish the covenant to deactivate the bomb." Six nodded and took hold of the bomb.

Kat was about to protest about giving the bomb to Six, she did not wish to lose another six. But not until, Carter spoke again, he knew that Kat was speak after giving this order out.
Carter: "Don't worry about where you will, throw the bomb Six." Carter pointed to Kat. "Me and Kat will be by your side, providing you cover fire." "And will show you where to throw the bomb, then the three of us will run to the pelican and escape."

Six: "understood sir."
Six agreed to the task.
Kat: "I agree with you idea commander, it's planned out well."
Kat smiled, she was proud of what her lover... and commander decision of being by Six side. She knew he would have done the same to Thom.

In a way Carter was trying to redeem himself, for the death of Thom. Carter knew Kat approved his leadership and orders he has just given.
Carter: "now the first thing to do, is wait for the pelican to arrive, then we all proceed with the mission."
Kat: "And we all have each other backs, throughout the entire mission... together."
Kat said Carter could not help but to smile, at her words, and Kat looked at him for a few seconds.
Emile: "your dam right there sis."
Emile said as he loaded his shotgun.
Carter: "together."
He said within great confidence, this time him and Kat would make sure the team gets out alive.

Here you go this is the first chapter, hope you all enjoyed it and the team interaction. This story will be short. It will be completed by three chapters or more only. I don't know maybe later I will do another Kat and Carter fanfic, which would be more longer.
