"Jaya, we've only been working together for 1 week, and there is already something here to kill us" I sighed.

"Ma'am, we have saved over 112 people this week. We were bound to have somebody notice us. Whether that attention is good or bad" She responded. She did have a point. The robot grabbed my suit and threw me out from behind the wall.

"Jaya. Centre shooter. Anytime now" I whispered, groaning and attempting to stand back up.

"Boosting now" She replied. The robot held up his hand.

"Wait!" A voice came from behind it. I looked behind the robot slowly. It was Tony Stark.

"What's your name kid?" He asked.

"H..H..Hannah" I stammered in reply.

"You need to be careful kiddo. I have heard about you, but your suit can be mistaken for a recent villain called Nightmare. I could've killed you if your suit hadn't had feathered wings" He murmured softly. I sighed with relief. "Go home kid. And watch yourself. Others may make the same mistake as me" He told me, suiting up and turning to walk away.

"I don't have a home" I whispered before I could stop myself. He turned to look at me, and his face mask came down. Tony Stark was known to have an ego and be proud, but I always saw him as a reasonably nice guy, maybe even a bit of a softy. Even though he did have a reputation. But his usual expression of pride was replaced with one of curiosity and...concern?

"Do you have any family?" He questioned. I shook my head no. There was no way in hell I was going back to Samantha. She'd probably throw me back in the basement for escaping.

"Alright, well....I guess you could come stay in the Stark tower....I'm sure Pepper wouldn't mind" Tony smiled, rubbing the back of his head.

"It's alright Mr Stark. I will find a place. No need to worry about me. Thank you for the offer" I smiled softly. Before he could say anything in protest, I smiled, waved and shot up into the air, in search of a tree I could perhaps hide in for the night. I didn't sleep often anyway. My creative mind forbids me too. I was always working on something when I lived with grandfather. I was concentrated on my thoughts when suddenly, Jaya snapped me out of it, yelling

"Ma'am! Powerlines!"

I collided with the powerlines and was knocked unconscious, my last thought being the sight of me hurtling into the road below, bouncing and skidding across the road, luckily receiving no injuries with the metal armour to protect me.

"Tony, I think she's waking up" A female voice called from beside me. It wasn't Jaya.

'Have I been kidnapped?! Jaya wouldn't let that happen'

I opened my eyes and looked at her. She smiled warmly. I recognised her.

Pepper Potts.

She rose to her feet in slow, graceful movements. "Hello Hannah. I'm Pepper, nice to meet you" She said to me. I smiled.

"Nice to meet you too Miss Potts" I responded.

"Please, call me Pepper" She giggled. I watched as Tony flew in, his suit being taken of piece by piece as he walked.

"I'm not in. I'm actually out" He mumbled into the earpiece. I couldn't hear what the rest was, up until he said "Grow a spine, Jarvis. I have a date." Pepper stood by a computer.

"Levels holding steady....I think" She spoke uncertainly.

"Of course they are. I was directly involved" He joked. He turned and walked over to me, sitting down on the table just a few centimetres away from the couch I was lying on.

"How you feeling kiddo?" He asked.

"I think I'm alright. What happened to me?" I questioned.

"You collided with a power line ma'am" Jaya said, standing up.

"We" I corrected.

"I think it may be best for you to stay in the tower. Jarvis ran some records and....there is no family to send you too, except for one person called Samantha" He spoke softly. I gulped loudly and visibly flinched.

"Please. Don't send me back to her" I murmured shakily. Pepper looked at me with concern.

"We won't. We promise. You're safe with us" He replied. I physically relaxed. "That's why I suggest you stay with us in the tower. Maybe eventually Fury can help you join shield" He added. I nodded in agreement. "Okay, awesome, do you need to get anything from anywhere? Like old possessions?" He questioned. I thought for a moment. I could go back to my grandfathers house and get my things.

"I have a few things I may need to get" I replied.

"Alright. Jack!" He called out. A small human-like robot ran out. It was about 30 cm in height and was really cute. "This is Jack. He can escort you. He is a safety bot" Tony said.

"Jack is a safety bot? What does that mean? Oh and nice to meet you Jack" I laughed, shaking his tiny robotic hand.

"He may be small, but he can fight, shoot and defend stronger than any normal sized robot. I have a few others like him, so I guess you can keep him if you want" He replied.

"Oh cool! I'd love too!" I said. I stepped inside Jaya and picked Jack up. "Can he fly?" I asked. Jack and tony nodded, and Jack flew up into the air. "Okay Jackaboy, let's go" I said, spreading my wings and flying out of the tower, closely followed by Jack.

After heading back to Grandfathers home, I packed my bag with my clothes and all my possessions, including my iPhone 6s and photo albums, along with another bag with incomplete projects and parts and tools to complete them. Grandfathers body had been taken away in an ambulance moments before I had landed there, and I could not bear to watch as it left, tears prickling in my eyes as grief washed over me.

"Alright Jack, ready to go?" I asked softly. He nodded.

"It's sad about your poor grandfather" A female voice came from behind me. It was chillingly familiar. Then it hit me.

Samantha.

I swung around. Jaya was outside, so I was easily recognisable.

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"I came to get you. I'm the only family you have left. I guess you'll have to come with me" She smirked.

"No way in hell. I have a place to stay. I do not need to return with you" I replied, putting both bags over my shoulders.

"Who with?! Who would want you?!" She snarled, stepping forward.

"Never you mind" I replied. I turned around when she jumped at me, but she didn't get far before Jack interfered, throwing her into a wall. "Run Jack!" I called, running upstairs. He quickly followed, and I met Jaya at the top. "Jaya! Open!" I called out. She opened up and I quickly suited up, put my bags on my back and flew away, closely tailed by Jack.

"We're back Mr Stark!" I called out, flying into the building.

"Welcome back. I was a little worried" He blurted. I looked at him confused. "Jack told me what happened" He added. I looked at Jack with a small smile.

"Traitor" I laughed jokingly.

"Who is Samantha?" Tony questioned, standing up. I stared at the floor. He was about 20cm away from me when he paused and studied me. "It's alright. You don't have to tell me" He whispered soothingly. I looked up and smiled softly. "Follow me, I'll show you where you will be staying" He spoke gently, striding towards the lift. I followed closely as the sound of my metal boots against the floor echoed through the building, almost ominously. Jack hovered behind me. Tony opened the lift and stepped in, and I did the same.

"This is a very nice building Mr Stark" I nodded, breaking the silence.

"Thank you. And please, call me Tony" He responded. I laughed thankfully and nodded. The lift opened and I walked out into a long hallway with him, doors lined up on each side. He showed me to the first door. "This is one of the guest rooms. If you need me, my room is down there, and Jarvis is always here..."

"Of course Madam" Jarvis announced from the roof of the building. Tony nodded and snickered playfully at my slight jump.

"I'll leave you to settle in. Goodnight Hannah" He smiled and waved, walking down the hallway. I waved in return and opened the door. Jack ran into the room, his adorable little run eliciting a bright smile and playful laugh from me. He couldn't speak, and with super strength, his small size made him a fast and strong robot. He looked at me with his light blue shinning robotic eyes.

"Alright Jack," I whispered. I walked over to a small leather couch and grabbed a wooly blanket, folding it and resting it on a couch. "Here you go, buddy. You can sleep here" I told him, picking him up and resting him on it. He sat there and just watched. I sat down on my bed and opened the Macbook that resided there. "Thank for your help today Jaya. You did amazing as usual. I'm so glad you're my pal" I thanked, looking over at her. Jaya nodded.

"Of course Ma'am" She replied. I smiled brightly and turned my attention back to my Macbook. I typed something down on it, read my notes on my latest project and closed it, putting it on my bedside table. My eyes were too weary to continue and my head spun from exhaustion. I leaned over and plugged my phone in, and lay down, closing my eyes.

"Madam" Jaya announced.

"Yes Jaya? And dude, call me Hannah" I asked, yawning as I stretched with a slight giggle.

"Agent Coulson was here Yesterday evening. I thought you ought to know" She spoke.

"Jarv?" I questioned curiously, not expecting him to be listening.

"Mr Coulson was here on a mission request" Jarvis answered. A knock came at the door.

"Come in!" I called cheerily. The door opened slowly, and Tony stood in the doorway.

"Morning kiddo. I have something to tell you" He smiled.

"Is it about Phil?" I asked

"Does everyone call him Phil?" Tony asked

"I know Phil personally....he's an old friend," I spoke softly. Tony nodded.

"Well, suit up. We've got a job to do" He responded, putting his thumbs up and walking out. I laughed and shook my head. I suited up and walked out, with Jack running close behind. Tony came back out and smiled. "You got ready fast!" He commented. I shrugged it off and laughed. The Iron man suit walked down the hallway and met us both halfway.

"Morning Jarv, again," I chuckled, walking past.

"Good morning" The suit and the AR replied.

"Alright, we have a long trip. Should we get going?" Tony asked.

"We shall" I replied with a snicker

"Let's go then!" He said, flying out of the building.

"Alright, Jack, Jay, Let's roll" I said, taking off after him.
