My First Time

All of my friends have done it. Shit, even my younger siblings have done it. Today is Halloween, and my 18th birthday
I have got to do it by tonight, I just have to.

Tonight is the perfect night.

I slowly crawl out of bed to get ready for school, dreading the day as I normally do. I'm not like everyone else. I've always been different, but it's alright. I think my family still cares for me the same as they do my siblings.

I head down the stairs to grab a bite for breakfast. My dad is a stay-at-home father, so he makes a five course breakfast every morning. He seems to be my biggest fan. Always talking me up and doing stuff for me. He's the first to wish me happy birthday, of course. My siblings didn't even realize it was my birthday.

They were twins and turned 15 last month. So, they know everything as it is. But they make fun of me all the time. But today, they just sat there scarfing down their bacon and sausage, not even paying any attention to me.

I just grab a couple of slices of bacon. I want to get out of the house as fast as possible. I just don't wanna deal with my mother today. As I open the front door, she's on the other side, walking into the house.

"Fuck!" I gasped, then course corrected quickly, "I mean good morning mother." I said

She just stared at me and walked by me.

At school I meet up with Sam and Pam who are twins as well. I've known them since I was a baby. Our families have known each other for decades.

"How's it going buddy? Is today going to be the big day?" Sam asks.

"I don't even know how to start to get there" I say.

"Just go for it." Pam chimes in.

I just shrug and head to class. I'm a little more shy around Pam as I have kind of had a crush on her since middle school. Just never felt right since I'm best friends with her brother and all.

In class, a flyer is going around about this Halloween party the town throws every year. I hand it behind me and that's when I see she's sitting behind me. The new girl. What was her name again I think to myself.

"Oh, hey you moved desk?" I ask.

She replies, "Yes, better view of the board and all right here. Oh, are you going to be going to the festival tonight?"

"Yea I'm going to be going with Sam and Pam, and you?"

"Yea it sounds fun, this town really digs Halloween it seems like." She says.

As I was heading to lunch I noticed one of the jocks getting pushed into a locker by a computer kid. Which is pretty normal here. I don't really eat anything for lunch but I did find Sam and Pam sitting at our normal table.

As I get to the table they were talking about the costumes they were planing for tonight. Most likely another twin thing.

"Hey guys... so this is random but, the new girl moved her chair behind me today in chemistry class. She said it was to see the board. It just felt weird to me." I said.

"Bro, she's into you, go for it man. And you should probably start calling her by her name." Sam replied.

"And that is what?" I asked

"Dude, it's Veronica." He said.

"Hey Ryan, can I sit with you all?" Veronica asked.

"Holy shit, you snuck up on me. Yea that's fine." I replied

We were all just sitting there talking about the festival and what we were going to be tonight. I was just going as a pirate, nothing special. Sam and Pam at first wanted to be CatDog but could not decide who was going to be dog so they decided to just as the Wonder Twins.

Veronica was going as Vampire she had made the costume herself from her mother's old dress. I learned her and her father moved here after her mother passed away in a car wreck.

The bell rang to let us know lunch was over. Sam and I had history class together this hour. He and I sat next to each other so we didn't get much done in class.

"Bro, she's the one. I know it, dude. You have to go for it." He was saying.

"How can you be so sure, man?" I asked

"It's a twin thing. I can just feel it. Go for it, man. I know I am right. Just ask Pam if you don't believe me." He went on.

"Alright, dude, tonight is the night." I said.

The rest of school dragged on but finally when school got out we all met up at our lockers and headed to their house.

We rushed to their house as fast as possible I swear we didn't hit a single red light. They have one car they share between the two of them. The most entertaining part of the trip was watching them argue about who got to drive home today.

At their house we all got into our costumes and packed our bags up to head to the festival tonight. Before we got there, we decided we would go grab a bite to eat somewhere. There isn't that many places to choose from around here. We have the diner all the adults seem to go to and the local drive in. And a few other places. We only have one burger place so that's where we decided we would go tonight.

We left the car at their house and decided to just walk. Figured there would be alot of people and parking would just suck.

As we were walking to get some food we noticed the two employees that were working there tonight at the dumpster talking to a cat or something. Like they were having a full on conversation. And the cat was just staring at them. So we decided to just not go there. Those guys go to our school one is a huge pothead so we just assumed they were really high or something.

We ended up going to the diner which was right by the festival.

We grabbed a large basket of fries to share between us three and all got milkshakes.

Veronica was there by herself so Pam decided to invite her to our table. We talked a bit and finished up the fries and headed to the festival.

While walking to the festival a man dressed like Van Helsing ran into Pam knocking her down. He didn't even say anything just kept walking.

"What the fuck, dude." Sam yelled at him.
But the guy kept walking, acting like nothing had happened.

"That was rude." Veronica said as we kept on going.

Veronica and I rode a few of the rides and played some of the games while Sam and Pam argued about who was better at the balloon darts game. They were playing that pretty much all night.

Veronica wanted to get on the ferris wheel. I have a bit of a weird fear of those but decided to get on it with her anyway.

While we were sitting at the top of it she leaned in for a kiss. Took me by surprise, but I went with it. It felt like an eternity up there. I had never had a kiss that powerful. I've kissed girls before but they have never felt that electric.

As we were finally getting off the ferris wheel Sam and Pam were both standing by the exit. Pam started talking to Veronica right away. Sam was asking me about the kiss.

"Dude, that looked intense." He said to me.

"Bro, I have never felt anything like that, I felt like I could not pull away for a second." I replied.

"Just remember, man. Tonight's the night." He said.

"I know, dude. I'm going to see if she wants to come over to my place. My parents are going out for awhile tonight." I said.

I pulled Veronica to the side and asked her if she wanted to head to my house since the festival was ending soon.

She was fine with coming over.

So we all decided to go our separate ways. The twins decided to play one more round to find out who the best was. Veronica and I decided to head to my place, which wasn't that far at all. Just two streets over.

As we got to my porch Veronica went in for another kiss. This one was even harder  and felt even more intense. I was barely able to get the front door opened. She took off my shirt before we even headed up the stairs. Clothes were thrown everywhere. Looked like a trail to my room.

We finally made it to my room. We got into my bed and I knew this was it. It was now or never

I reached into my nightstand to grab it.

Took a deep breath, turned back to her with one fell swoop - took the dagger and jammed it square into her chest. She made the loudest screech I had ever heard. But her face and body morphed into this hideous creature before she went limp. Just then, I heard people rushing up the stairs. My door flew open.

My dad screamed, "Not the sheets. We just bought you those."
