I
—Lynda—
Making my way down the path,I stood in between my two friends.Leaves whisped and curled around our ankles as we plodded towards Laurie's father's old house, which his parents would be showing in an hour.
"Remember Laurie, put the key under the mat!"Annie ordered before strolling away from us two.Glancing in a mirror,I gulped.I thought I saw a shadow in there!
"Bye Laurie.I'll call you at quarter to ten," I smiled at her before hurrying away from the house.Ambling along,I hummed a tune to myself.
“Black cats and goblins and witches and ghosts,
Micheal will kill you, you'll be scared the most.
Black cats and goblins and broomsticks and ghosts
All will watch your demise on Halloween night.
Trick or treat,”
Turning around,my eyes couldn't find anyone who said the rhyme.A car sped past and I jolted like a rabbit. Sighing,I passed a new poster stapled on the tree.I read it and my eyes widened when I heard the name:Micheal Myers.
Terrified,I dashed down the path, ignoring the irritated cries of early trick-or-treaters.I bumped straight into someone!
"Excuse me young lady, are you okay?" I felt myself being helped up by a strong man with brown hair and dazzling emerald eyes.
"Yeah.Wait....," I realised that he was Sheriff Brackett, Annie's dad.
"It's me,Ben!Lynda Van Der Klok!"I said,smiling like an idiot.
"Oh yeah!"he said back, grinning. We both laughed.
Behind Ben,and elderly man and a young woman stood, exchanging hushed whispers.
"I'm Samuel Loomis,"the elderly man said.
"Nice to meet you,Samuel.Good luck on whatever you're doing.Bye Ben!"I said, jogging away from both of them.I grinned and began to hum the lyrics to her favourite song.
"Stayin' alive, stayin' alive,"I danced along with the lyrics as I made my way into my house. My parents wouldn't be back until half three tomorrow afternoon.
—Micheal—
Staring at Annie,I watched her prepare some food for her ward,Lindsey. In the living room, the young girl watched Star Wars.
"Paul,Paul,Paul, how I love you~,"Annie sang as she placed the crackers on a plate.
"Lindsey!"she called as she placed the glass plate onto the oak wooden table.
"Thank you,"Lindsey mumbled, licking her lips and sitting down comfortably on the wooden chair and chewed on her food, smiling to herself.
I observed.Annie made her way to the living room, smirking to herself as she flicked the channel over to The Thing From Another World.
Crouching,I crawled to the front door of the house.
"Annie? You forgot your book,"Laurie said, strolling towards the path.Hurriedly,I crouched behind the sprawling sycamore tree.
"Laurie?I'm in the middle of my job!"Annie complained, opening the front door and stepping out into the afternoon.
"Yeah,I get that. But you need to do your Chemistry,"the auburn young woman said, handing her friend six or seven clunky books.
"Yay.Wow,"Annie groaned.I quietly watched this from behind the tree.
—Laurie—
Sighing to myself,I watched Annie close the door to the house, the stack of books in her hand.I strolled away from the building, humming an old tune to myself.
Rain splattered slightly onto my battleship blue cardigan, making me hurry in fleeing to my house.Leaves clawed and my ankles and I hurried up.
An engine roared for a moment before stopping next to me.
"Sir,are you okay?"I asked, peering into the room. The man looked back at me.
On his face,he wore a Captain Kirk mask. The sockets were shadowy and I couldn't clearly see his eyes. His hair was tousled and the mask was spray-painted white, along with a few...off things about it.
As soon as he had stopped,he sped off.I sighed and assumed it was just Ben Tramer's costume, with a few adjustments.I strolled into my house.
