"Thank you," Wataru bowed with a paper in his hands that the nurse handed to him. "You're welcome. Take care now," the nurse said and he left the hospital.

As he predicted, Wataru left two days after he entered the hospital. The nurse and doctor told him not to but Wataru was determined to look around the city and familiarize himself with it plus to figure out how he got there in the first place. Eventually, he was let go.

However, not without a little something that the hospital gave him. "Wataru, I'm concerned about the fact that you have potential amnesia and the damage caused to your head," Kivat said as he sat on his shoulder. "I am too but sitting in the hospital isn't going to help me make sense of it," Wataru pointed out and showed him the brain scans that the nurse gave him.

"I am aware of that but that doesn't make me feel any better about it," Kivat sighed. "It'll be alright...hopefully," Wataru said, quietly. Kivat just shuddered though. Now where to go now? Oh! Wataru thought and saw a random person walking by.

He took a couple of deep breaths in and out, prepping him to go talk to that person. He remembers what Yuzu told him and figured out why not start there with them. "E-excuse me," Wataru started and the person stopped.

"Hmm?" They asked. "Can you tell me where...the YouShow Duel school is?" Wataru asked, quietly. "What was that, sorry? Speak up a little louder please?" The person asked and Wataru panicked on the inside.

"It's fine, they just didn't hear you at first. Repeat your question but a little louder than you did initially," Kivat assured him with a whisper and Wataru gave him a short nod. "Can you tell me where the YouShow Duel school is?" He repeated and the person thought about it.

"Hmmm...it should be a couple of blocks away from here. Just go straight in that direction," the person pointed behind them, "and after passing a clothing store, take a left. It's not a very big school compared to LID but you'll find it eventually," the person told him. "Thank you," Wataru bowed his head and jogged off.

"Go straight and then take a left after passing a clothing store," he muttered under his breath. "So those kids found you right?" Kivat asked as Wataru was heading in the right direction. He nodded.

"They were kind enough to help me and gave me back my violin case. They're probably going to help me with this too," Wataru explained. "Seems fair enough," Kivat said.

Eventually, he arrived at a relatively large building with the words, 'YouShow Duel School', in big letters. This seems to be it, he thought and walked up to the doors. He reached over towards them to either push or pull when the doors flew open, separating from each other.

"Huh," Wataru said, walking past the automated doors. Inside the building was empty. It appeared to be clean though as it wasn't abandoned but there didn't appear to have anyone in there.

He walked around and eventually made it to a hallway. Walking through it, he began to hear shouts and Wataru started to pick up the pace. He stopped when he reached a large window screen and peered through it to see four people accompanied by monsters?!

As he watched, it didn't seem like the four people were in danger. In fact, they all had serious but smiling faces. Wataru then heard a familiar voice.

"I can now pendulum summon monsters from levels 2 to 7 at the same time! Swing, Pendulum of the soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! My monsters are ready to swing into action!"

It was Yuya and above him were two humanoids dressed like magicians. A figure of a pendulum swung behind the beams of light that the magicians were in and two beams of light shot out from the middle.

"Slice and dice, Entermate Sword Fish! And now here comes the star of the show, the dragon with the two-toned eyes, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya called out and the red dragon with two different eye colors roared.

"This is...," Wataru didn't get to finish as Yuya rolled his palm towards the little boy with blue hair next to him. "And now, Tatsuya has something special for the show!"

"I activate my trap! I declare one monster type and any monster on the field with that type gains 600 attack points for every monster on the field. I choose dragon so that means Odd Eyes gets that boost!" Tatsuya exclaimed, happily and Odd Eyes shuddered with power.

"And your monsters lose 600 attack points thanks to Entermate Sword Fish's effect!" Yuya added and large ripped up teddy bear slumped down and the Stegosaurus that looked like it came from a children's doodle drawing slumped next to it.

"Oh no!" A boy with blond hair cried out and the boy next to him, gripped onto the edge of the lollipop stick that was in his mouth.

"Now Odd Eyes! Attack with Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya commanded and red flames came from his dragon's mouth, destroying the doodle stegosaurus.

"They won!" A little girl's voice cheered from Wataru's left. He turned his head to see Yuzu and a girl with red hair. "Looks like they're improving," Yuzu noted. On the field, Yuya gave Tatsuya a high five as the dark field that they were on turned back to a normal space with a grey floor and beige walls.

Wataru was impressed by this and opened his mouth to say something when the red haired girl saw him. "Big Sis, look! Someone else was watching the duel," she pointed and Yuzu looked over, her face lit up with recognition.

"Wataru! You're here," she said and he nodded. "Huh? You know him?" The girl asked and Yuzu nodded. "Cool, I'm Ayu. Nice to meet you," Ayu said and Wataru bowed his head while hugging onto his violin case.

(Later)

Everyone went to the staff room where they introduced themselves to Wataru and likewise, he did so himself.

Yuya and Yuzu explained what happened and the kids gasped. "Amnesia!?" Ayu cried. "That must have been a tough fall, you are ok right?" Tatsuya asked, concerned. "Yeah," Wataru told him.

"And these are the brain scans that they gave you before you left, right?" Syuzo, Yuzu's father, asked. He was in the control room earlier during the duel. Wataru nodded.

"They said that in time, my memory will come back. I hope it's true," he added and Syuzo gave him back the papers.

"Let us know if you need any help," Yuya said with Yuzu nodding. "Us too," the three kids said at the same time. "Sheesh, having amnesia must be a pain," Sora said while eating a bag of gummies. The gummies were shaped like little monsters with different flavors, primarily showing off a purple one.

"Yeah...so," Wataru shuffled in the seat that he was sitting in, "what was that I saw on the field? The one with...you know...the monsters?" He asked.

"Monsters? You mean the duel that the four of us had?" Yuya asked and gestured to Tatsuya, Futoshi and Sora. "Duel?" Wataru asked, tilting his head.

"Yes, it's a card game that we play called Duel Monsters. Duels are the games that we play against each other like you saw earlier," Yuzu explained and held up her D-Pad and a card with a picture of a humanoid with purple hair wearing a brown and gold dress.

"Oh," Wataru said and thought back on the D-Pad that he found inside of his violin case. "Yep and this school here is a school for dueling!" Syuzo shouted, proudly. "Really?" Wataru asked.

"That duel you saw was us practicing a tag duel which is a two-on-two duel. Normally duels are one versus one but there are some duels that are different from that," Tatsuya explained. "That sounds interesting," Wataru said and Syuzo's eyes lit up at this.

"Say, would you say that you're a beginner and are interested in learning more?" He asked and Wataru shrugged. "If it's not too much of a bother," he said. "Well...how about you join YouShow?" Syuzo asked, excitedly.

"Dad! This forward? Do you really think joining a duel school now would be a good idea? Remember that he has amnesia," Yuzu scolded him. "I dunno, Yuzu. If Wataru wants to join, then let him join. He does seem interested in learning and who knows, maybe bit by bit, he'll gain his memory back," Yuya said and Wataru perked up at this.

"Well if he joins, then that'll hopefully make things easier on getting his memory back. Duelists do find other duelists and other people," Sora shrugged, popping a couple of gummies in his mouth. "See, a win-win situation!" Syuzo said.

Yuzu looked at her dad with an exasperated look on his face before turning to Wataru. "Well first before you enroll in YouShow, do you have a place to stay?" She asked and he shook his head. Yuzu looked over at Yuya and her dad.

"Well if you don't have anywhere else to go, you can stay over at my house. There's enough room for the three of us," Syuzo suggested. "Really? I promise I won't be a bother," Wataru said.

"It's fine, just one thing. Be on time for class! That is all," Syuzo declared and Wataru nodded. "I will try my hardest, I won't let you down," he said.

"We have a new classmate!" Ayu cheered. "This gives me the shivers," Futoshi said while doing just that. "We should celebrate since YouShow has gotten a new record of having three new students in the same month," Yuya suggested.

"With ice cream!" Sora and Tatsuya suggested. "Eyy, great minds think alike," Sora gave the smaller boy a high five. "Ice cream!" The boys cheered while Yuzu just sighed at this while Ayu giggled.

A/N: Yippee, Wataru joins YouShow! I plan on having the beginning be fast paced so events are going to happen quickly. I will also not change too much of the beginning arcs until we reached a certain point before we dwell into canon divergence parts. Dw, we'll get there when we get there.
