THE VAST KINGDOM OF MERIDIAN HAD ONLY SEEN THEIR PRINCESS A HANDFUL OF TIMES. Princess Katrina had been closely guarded since she was an infant. Her mother, Queen Hira, came from a long bloodline of tragedy. Apparently, her grandmother had done something to anger the Goddess of Death which had caused her to curse the family. In their bloodline, every other first-born child would be given the curse. It had skipped over Queen Hira, but infected her daughter. To prove it, there was a small symbol representing death on the nape of Katrina's neck.

The King and Queen did everything they could to protect their child, but they had limited resources and their kingdom was slowly dying. Odin, the King of Asgard, also known as the Allfather, decided that this was the perfect opportunity to take over Meridian and struck a deal. If Princess Katrina and Prince Thor are wed, then Odin will offer protection to Katrina and restore Meridian to its former glory. They knew it was a trap, but they had no other options.

But, Katrina was done being trapped and all she wanted was her freedom. She knew that she was destined to die, but she wanted to live her life till then. There was no stopping the inevitable, but Katrina did not want to waste away her life being the wife of some arrogant Prince. So, she decided that she was the only person who could decide her destiny and she wanted to be free.

NOTE.
OH, LOOK. I am rewriting yet another fic! 2019 has really been the year of rewrites for me! I was honestly really unhappy with the state of this book and I really want Half the World Away to be something that I am proud of! So, I decided to tear it down as rebuild!

Half the World Away — like all of my fics — is divided into acts. It will have five acts and each will vary in length!

ONE — takes place before any of the Thor movies. Maybe like one year or less before the actual Thor movie. It will be an AU section, maybe about ten chapters. It's there to get to know Katrina and her kingdom. Also, it's there for Katrina to get to know Thor.

TWO — takes place during the Thor movie and will follows it's events! Things will end up being different since Thor does not end up with Jane, but more info will be revealed when we get there!

THREE — takes place during the Avengers and it will fairly follow the movie! But, there will be a lot of twists and turns to include my other books!

FOUR — takes place during the Dark World and a lot of crazy stuff will happen during this part of the story!

FIVE — takes place during Ragnarok and will be the last part of the book! this part is where it will all go down.

So, that's all we really need to know about the plotline! I wanna talk a bit about Katrina's character. She's going to go through a lot of character development and will grow as a character throughout the story! She is not some badass warrior in the beginning of the story! But, over time, she will grow and become stronger as a person. She has a long way to go!

❝MADE OUT OF STARDUST.❞ — Half the World Away does count as Book One in my Marvel Series. It will lay down the basis for many of the other fics in the series. However, it is not does not count as the first book if we're looking at it chronologically. Yet, I still recommend reading this book before reading any of the others!
