Karayan stood up, the Sorceress' words ringing in his ears. She'd told him amazing things. Terrible things. And he'd listened. Now he had to act. She'd accepted him as her minion, and he'd accepted her as his mistress. But to be an effective servant, he first had to sever his ties.

Karayan left the dark room. The Sorceress had given him a sword. Made of strong steel, the hilt of gold set with red garnets and rubies. It was heavy, But Karayan didn't mind. He'd get used to it. He stepped out into the street, one destination in mind. He didn't even shiver in the cold air. He went straight home.

Aaaaaaand that's it!! I kinda implied that Karayan went home and killed his stepdad, maybe his mom's too but y'know i never really worked all that out :) And I never even bothered to think about the part where Karayan has to rise to power in the Amani imperial court which would have pretty interesting, and never worked out what exactly this magic entails and why everything works and how this world was created but. W/e. More stuff to have fun with later .

I have one more scene written after some notes on the doc, but no date on it.
