Everyone in the pack had already been informed about the guests by the time they all arrived. A few had grumbled but nevertheless accepted the fact that once permission was granted, they couldn't abruptly ask the girls to return back.

The pack members had asked if their presence was needed to welcome the guests as it was too early in the morning and most of them had just woken up. Fortunately, Alpha allowed their absence. For him, it was better to not have anyone present rather than having grumpy and sleepy members.

Having nothing better to do, Nihal had accompanied Yara to the pack house today as he had woke up early to go on a morning run with her, which was unfortunately cancelled. Hritika was also awake but refused to move out of her bed as her legs were cramped, courtesy of the morning run.

Alpha, Vivaan, Yara and Nihal all entered the living room when the Gamma informed about their arrival.

Luna, Gamma and Beta entered the pack house and the girls followed them. Alpha's daughter paused on her step abruptly, making another girl who was just a step behind, dash into her. Muttering a sorry, Alpha's daughter moved away a little and started searching for the scent that had made her halt.

Her eyes got connected with Vivaan as they both whispered, "Mate."

The girls moved aside as Vivaan ran towards his mate, taking her in for a hug. She too hugged him with all her might but later stiffened as her grief came back to her in full force.

Vivaan let go of her as soon as he felt her body freeze, mentally kicking himself for being so stupid and not understanding that this might have been uncomfortable for her. While Vivaan was cursing himself, his mate was getting scared. She managed to insult her mate within a few seconds of their meet. She very well knew how big of an ego every Alpha male had, yet she just managed to bruise it. The only nice thing was that no one else had noticed her stiffness or the repercussion would have been worse.

Vivaan came out of his thoughts and saw that his mate was getting scared. For what reason, he didn't know but he smiled comfortingly at her to let her know that whatever the problem was, he would stay by her side. She sighed in relief when she saw his smile. Maybe, just maybe he had decided to let go of this incident.

"What's your name?" Vivaan asked sweetly, so sweetly that it made Nihal barf.

After witnessing their sweet moments, Nihal felt a little sorry towards Yara. Unlike other mates, their start was a bit rocky. Heck, Yara had even fainted when she informed him about mates. He came out of his thoughts when Yara clasped her hand around his fisted hand and gave him a reassuring smile as she understood his inner turmoil. Their start might not have been the best, but she loved what they had in present.

Being lost in each others eyes, they missed half of the conversation, Vivaan had with his mate. And when Yara finally managed to look away from her mate, her nose flared and she let out a threatening growl.

Yara's growl came out as a shock to everyone as they all were so invested in the cuteness of their future Alpha and Luna. Vivaan turned his attention from his mate, Rehyaa, to see what had happened. He moved his eyes towards the direction where Yara was looking so furiously and saw the girls who had come along with his mate, standing there with their head bowed.

"Calm down, jelly bean. They can just stare but I am only yours," Nihal muttered, rubbing Yara's back to calm her down.

"We...we are sorry. We didn't mean to stare. It's just...it happened because we were seeing a human for the first time in our lives," one of the girls managed to speak up after seeing the pleading eyes of Rehyaa.

"I understand the curiosity but my mate isn't an antique piece placed in a museum. I am letting this go today but there would be no next time. Take this as my first and last warning." Yara spoke sternly, glaring at all the girls.

Rehyaa was shocked to see a girl being so bold in the presence of men.

Luna Mahira noticed Rehyaa's stare and took it upon herself to introduce them. "Rehyaa, meet our future Beta, Yara."

"Be..beta? A girl?" Rehyaa fumbled, getting one more shock.

"Will that be a problem?" Yara asked, her boldness vanishing into thin air. Fighting with the whole pack for her position was different but fighting with her future Luna, was a recipe of disaster.

The sudden dimming of Yara's eyes  and the fallen face of her mate, didn't went unnoticed by Rehyaa.

"No no no." Rehyaa shook her head frantically.

"I was...I was just surprised as I have never seen a female Beta. I don't have any problem with you." Rehyaa tried to assure them, while she herself was getting scared. By the number of blunders she had made, she wouldn't be surprised if her mate would detest her.

"I am glad, you are okay with this decision. Let me assure you that Yara is more than capable for this position." Alpha spoke with a smile, before turning his attention to Gamma, "The girls must be tired. Show them the rooms."

Gamma nodded and ushered all the girls towards the first floor. While climbing up the stairs, the girls mind-linked their Alpha's daughter, apologizing furiously.

They all had concluded that Rehyaa, going with them instead of her mate was a sort of rejection which had happened because of their carelessness.
