68- Rogue
Luna Mahira and Yara had significantly calmed down after Hritika explained them that even though Nihal was sick he wasn't suffering from any life threatening condition.
Nihal was in a dilemma on how to feel. Yara's care was understandable but Luna's worry baffled him. And not to mention, Vivaan's statement about the Alpha situation. He didn't know what to feel about the changing dynamics in their relation.
"I think we should go now," Hritika said as their work was more or less done and Nihal too needed rest or else his condition would worsen.
"Yeah, sure. Thanks for all your help today." Alpha spoke with gratitude.
If not for Hritika's idea and Nihal's quick timing, they would have lost too many pack members today.
Both the cousins just smiled in return.
"I would have to stay here for some more time. Even though we have succeeded, after-work is too much." Yara informed them.
"Even if your work is done, don't leave the pack house unless the rain stops. Going outside to help is different and this is entirely another thing. You don't have to risk your life unnecessarily." Nihal lectured.
"So cute. He doesn't show it often but mate cares for us," Sachi said with an awe filled voice, turning into a mush.
Yara too blushed as Sachi kept singing praises for her mate.
Bidding bye, Nihal and Hritika left and the werewolves started making plans for the needful as the aftermath of the rains would also decide their future.
"How are we going to step out even if the rain stops?" Beta asked with a groan.
"We will have to clean the roads and houses at least, by covering ourselves just like we did to save the members," Luna replied with a tired sigh.
"We will need to avoid going to the forest until the natural rain comes and washes off all the silver." Alpha added with tension.
Staying away from the forests was going to irritate their other half(wolves). This was going to be a long fight.
"We will have to buy food from the city or other packs as all our crops have been contaminated with silver," Luna stated.
Everyone nodded with a resigned sigh. This was the first time when the pack had to go outside and ask for help to provide for their basic needs.
They couldn't discuss more as Juhi had mind-linked them asking for more assistance as the current members helping the pack doctor were getting tired.

As soon as Hritika and Nihal entered their home, the kids jumped up in shock.
"Wh...what are you doing here?" they asked in unison.
"Our work was done and this is our house so...," Hritika drawled with raised eyebrows.
"Still, you should have stayed back to help," Mia mumbled, frantically glancing at her friends.
They had created a blunder, and had stupidly thought that they would not get caught as no one would come out while it was still raining.
Flashback
"Did you see Hritika's room?" Misha asked as she came out after bathing.
"Nope," Mia answered with a pop, having showered at Yara's room.
"You should have seen it. The room of the stern and composed lady is such a mess," Naman said while applying medicine to Vanya.
"Oh yeah! It's a perfect definition of imperfect." Misha added with a laugh.
"GUYS," Rehan shouted from Yara's room.
Hearing his shout, everyone rushed inside.
"What's wrong?" Misha asked.
"Rogues," he whispered with wide frightened eyes.
They all sniffed instinctively and true to his word, the rogue's scent was clear. A rogue had just passed through the back door of this room.
"Ho...how is this possible?" Vanya stuttered.
"No one is guarding our pack borders because of this rain. Dammit!!" Mia stomped her legs in frustration.
While they were talking, Naman had already moved towards the door to see if the rogue was still nearby. Instead of a cunning and evil male, he had imagined in his mind, Naman witnessed a small girl around seven to nine years running with all her might, holding a banana leaf over her head to protect herself from the rain.
Naman quickly got inside to wear the windcheater and gloves.
"What are you doing, Naman?" Mia asked, as her attention went towards her friend who was getting ready to go outside.
"The rogue is a small girl. I need to bring her here before she dies because of silver," Naman answered as he quickly ran after the girl.
"Are you crazy? Child or not, she is a rogue." Mia shrieked.
Their whole group gathered near the door to see what Naman was doing. Their heart was filled with sympathy for the child but getting her inside was like asking for death sentence.
"Hey, stop," Naman yelled at the girl.
Hearing his voice, she started running faster. Her bag which she was wearing on the front side, bounced with every step she took.
Naman cursed seeing her getting away and increased his speed. He crossed her and stopped with a screeching halt.
His eyes widened as he saw a baby's head peaking from the bag. The little dilemma he had about helping her vanished in an instant.
"Please please, don't kill us. I was just trying to get away from the rain. I didn't realize that I had crossed the border and entered into a pack," the girl pleaded.
"Hey, hey, relax. I am not going to hurt you. Can you see that house behind? Let's go there, okay? Stay there until rain stops," Naman said in the softest voice be could mutter.
The little girl was hesitant but knowing that she badly needed shelter or else she would die along with her brother, she agreed.
"What the hell is wrong with him?" Mia shouted as she saw him bringing the kids near the house.
"Let's fill the buckets with water. We need to douse them with water before letting them in." Vanya instructed, making Mia's head snap towards her.
"You got to be kidding me," Mia said with gritted teeth.
"Am I the only sane person here?" she threw her hands up in the air.
"Naman is going to bring her inside even if we don't do this. So, it's better and more safe this way," Misha muttered, before going to fill the buckets.
"What are we going to do if anyone from the pack finds out?" Mia asked as Vanya tried to find some clothes that would fit the children.
The children were already doused in water and had been led to shower. Misha went inside the bathroom with them to help as all of these was new to the girl, who had always lived in wilderness.
"I am thinking that Hritika's T-shirt can work as a frock for the girl and for the baby, umm...we can just wrap him in a scarf or something." Vanya spoke thoughtfully, ignoring Mia's concerns.
"No one is going to come out in these rains and when the rain stops, we would quickly let the girl and her brother out before anyone knows," Naman answered as he came inside the room.
Mia finally calmed down as she saw the reason. She too wanted to help the small kids but was worried about letting in a rogue.
Flashback over
Mia glared at everybody, her eyes clearly telling them that she was right. They all tried all kinds of excuses for Hritika and Nihal to leave the house.
They had finally agreed but the baby's cry stopped them on their tracks. The teenagers gulped as Hritika and Nihal looked at them with suspicious eyes.
