Luna Mahira, Yara and Juhi hurried to move out of the room to see the commotion while Vivaan took his sweet time to limp his way out.

"Can't he live in peace? He just knows how to make blunders." Luna cursed Alpha Aarjav under her breath.

"How do you know that he is wrong in whatever is happening?" Juhi asked, raising her eyebrow.

"I just know. Now keep quiet and listen, you will soon find out that my intuition is correct," Luna answered sassily.

"What's with this partiality? You didn't tattle when Yara was rude to you but one word from me and you went running towards Nihal." Alpha frowned at his niece.

"Were you hoping for Hritika to keep that deal a secret? Is that why you dared to hurt her, thinking that I might never know?" Nihal asked, his eyes blazing with fire.

"Don't try to compare both the situations. What Yara said was nowhere near to your cowardly acts and even then she felt guilty about it and immediately apologized while you; I don't think you feel a speck of remorse," Hritika said looking at her Uncle in disgust.

"What deal?" Luna asked, coming forward.

"To force me to spend time with him in return of allowing Hritika to go for a business meeting," Nihal answered.

Everyone's face held bewilderment while Luna's nose flared up with anger. Before she could yell at her mate, Nihal continued.

"But that's not the reason I am angry. I already know not to expect anything from him. He could have said a simple no but he had to go forward and demand forgiveness instead of earning it and if that wasn't enough he even belittled Hritika's position in my life." Nihal added.

"Hritika is just not my relative. She is much more than a cousin. My sister, my guardian, my best friend, my saviour, my Mother and many other roles are played by her in my life that it won't be possible to count while Alpha Aarjav, you are just a sperm donor to me," Nihal said, poking Alpha Aarjav's chest with his finger while saying each and every word.

"NIHAL," Alpha Aarjav yelled, immensely hurt by his words.

"Don't shout, Alpha. In my mind, my father was dead long ago. Yet, when you came bustling in my life nineteen years later, a small part of me still contemplated upon giving you a chance but alas! You killed that small part of me today." Nihal spat out the words that felt like venom.

"Wow!! I thought only Vivaan called his dad, Alpha but now Nihal too. You two are seriously related," came Rahul's comment.

"I totally forgot that this jerk stayed on first floor too," Yara grumbled under her breath.

"We are discussing something personal, don't you have enough sense to not butt in." Hritika sneered at Rahul.

"Well if you don't want others to hear or contribute then you should consider talking about it in a soundproof room or office and not an open area," Vivaan commented.

"Why do I think I have heard this lines before?" Juhi wondered, causing Vivaan to smirk at Hritika who glared at him in return.

"Enough." Alpha roared, making everyone shut up at once.

"Nihal, I might have went overboard with Hritika but my intentions weren't bad while making this deal. I had just lost hope that you would ever forgive me and this seemed like a great opportunity that I eagerly wanted to grab. Please try to understand my condition," Alpha requested.

"You do have a knack of losing hope too early," Nihal commented, letting out a sardonic chuckle.

"Wh...what do you mean?" Alpha asked in bewilderment.

"You were the Alpha with enough powers but you lost hope and gave into the blackmail," Nihal replied.

"I already explained what my Alpha command had resulted in. You were bitten by a wolf. What could I do after that?" Alpha said in desperation.

"You could have made another command, the one which would have been more sound like asking your father to instruct the rogues to back off." Hritika spoke.

"You again lost hope when he blackmailed you to accept your mate," Nihal said, putting his hands inside the pocket of his jeans.

"When you could have easily discussed this with Luna Mahira. As far as I have seen, she is both smart and sensible. She could have come up with a solid plan." Hritika completed Nihal's words.

Both the cousins were on the roll today.

"And blackmailed to have a heir? You could have easily faked a medical condition to get out of it. Looking at the records of your silver consumption, anyone would have believed your lie." Nihal added.

"And last but not the least, your claim that you felt guilty to face mom and I after having a child from another woman," Nihal exclaimed, trailing off his sentence.

"Do you think me feeling guilty was wrong too?" Alpha questioned.

"No that was the only right thing you did. The problem is that why don't you feel that guilt now. Why do you suddenly wish to come in my life when you were too guilty to face me back then?" Nihal questioned back, causing Alpha Aarjav to bow his head in silence.

"Thought so." Nihal snorted.

"Is there any chance that you might forgive me in future?" Alpha asked in a broken voice.

"Find your father and his rogues. I will forgive you when they get punished for their deeds." Nihal promised.

"Bu...but he might be dead already," Alpha stuttered.

"Then forget forgiveness." Nihal declared, leaving no room for compromise.

Alpha sighed, feeling defeated.

"I will try my best to track him down," he vowed, before moving towards Vivaan's room.

"Let's go, we have work to do," he instructed Vivaan, who followed Alpha after making a face at Alpha's back.

Everyone standing there to listen to the gossip dispersed.

"Can you shift your meeting to the town where we first met? I will be able to receive permission from the council as the town has many of our pack members and there will be no chance for you to run away." Luna suggested.

"That can work." Hritika nodded thoughtfully.

"Alright then," Luna said, before going back to Vivaan's room.

Hritika looked at Nihal and muttered, "I should have asked help from her instead of going to Uncle."

"There's no way we would have known that this would turn out like this. Luna is surely unpredictable," Nihal said, having calmed down a little.

Smiling softly, Hritika linked her hands with Nihal and moved towards their room, not before gesturing Yara to come along.
