100- Happiness
Vivaan was skipping in excitement, causing Rehyaa to laugh out loud. "Someone would say that you haven't met your bestfriend in years," she commented while sitting on her bed, eyeing her mate roam in her room in excitement.
"Feels like it," Vivaan replied, ruffling the back of his head sheepishly.
"Don't worry about anything and enjoy. I am here to look after the Midnight pack," Rehyaa said with a small smile.
Vivaan looked at her gratefully. "Stay safe," he whispered, kissing her temple, before leaving.
Yara was surprised when Vivaan planned an outing all of a sudden, but didn't question much as she too was missing him.
"Where are you?" She mind-linked him, after getting ready.
"Near the pack border. I will be reaching soon."
"Race you to our favourite spot," Yara yelled in a sing-song voice, before cutting off the mind-link.
"Sure," Vivaan shrugged, before realization dawned on him. Yara's house had a back door that opened to their spot. "That cheeky little thing; you are so gone Yara, wait till I catch you," Vivaan muttered before transforming into Joy.
Joy ran through the woods in his fastest speed, excited to meet Sachi. The moment his eyes feel on Yara, who stood near the tree, looking at him smugly, he took a huge leap.
A high-pitched scream left Yara at the suddenness of it as Joy jumped on her. She fell onto the ground with a thump breathlessly as Joy stood on his all fours over her.
"Cheater," Vivaan huffed, while Joy shook his head in disappointment.
Yara moved her hands, wordlessly asking Joy to get off her. Joy instantly moved and stood beside her, while Yara got her breathing back to normal.
"Idiot." She lightly punched his head, looking at him with a scowl. Joy growled upon receiving the punch. Yara and Joy glared at each for a few seconds, before falling into an uncontrollable laughter.
Yara who was on the verge of stopping looking at the crazy laughing wolf and bursted out laughing again.
"Enough now. Give me the control," Sachi demanded, wanting to have some time with her best friend.
Yara blew out some air, forcefully stopping her laughing session, before turning into Sachi.
Once both the best friends met, all hell was let lose. They wrestled with their full power, had a race which surprising led them to a hide out. They weren't planning on hunting, but when the feast was in front of their eyes, who would stop the high-blooded wolves.
Having the feast, they both went on to wash off their mouths into the nearby water outlet. However, instead of cleaning up they both ended up rolling and playing into the mud nearby.
Joy suddenly started pushing Sachi into the water with his head, who tried her best to stay put by putting the force in her legs. They both were more or less equal in strength, making it a tough battle. However, in the end the Alpha wolf won, causing Sachi to topple over in the water. Joy soon jumped himself, making a huge splash.
Instead of fighting inside the water, they both just stayed calmly, enjoying the peacefulness.
Vivaan soon realized that the time was up and alerted Joy, who came out of the water begrudgingly. He didn't want the fun to end, but they had promised Nihal.
Sachi was confused by the suddenness but followed Joy. She shook her body, wringling out the access water, before looking at him.
Joy shook his head, before gesturing to her to follow him. Sachi soon realized that they both were walking back towards their favourite spot.
Joy stood near the back door of her house and gestured to her to get in with his head. Sachi's eyes had widened when she saw that the door was open, but calmed down when she saw that Joy wasn't panicking.
Shrugging, she went inside and saw a white and cream colour dress laid out on the bed with white flats.
She looked back at the back door to see Vivaan leaning there instead of Joy.
"Get ready, your mate is waiting for you."
She instantly understood why a sudden outing with Vivaan was planned. A wolfish smile formed on her face, before she hurried into the bathroom.
"Wait in the living room," she mind-linked Vivaan, before turning back to Yara.
Yara soon got dressed. She twirled in happiness. The dress was so comfortable, unlike the one she had bought, thinking Nihal would like that fitting one for the human date.
She had seen some videos for the reference and saw that almost all the girls wore something that enhanced their physique. However, Yara was used to the loose fitted clothes. Having to change multiple times did that to a person. The dress wasn't too loose but it wasn't tight either. It had an airy feeling with the way it flowed.
She came out to see Vivaan waiting for her. Before he could say anything, she rushed back to her room. Vivaan followed her with alarm. "What happened?"
"I forgot to take the medicine. Can't fall unconscious during my date, can I?" Yara chuckled, while rummaging through her drawer.
A bill fell out of nowhere, while she was turning the cupboard upside down.
"Huh?" Her forehead formed the lines, when she saw that Nihal had purchased White heels with the dress. She looked down at her flats, confused how heels switched to the flats.
Vivaan peeped over her shoulder and finally found the reason why she was frowning.
"Ah! Looks like the footwear also had to change along with the destination," he commented, making her look at him with confused eyes.
"Stop thinking. You will know when we reach there," he said, flicking her forehead.
"Ow." She rubbed her forehead, glaring at him, before punching his stomach.
"Ow." And now it was Vivaan's turn to groan in pain.
"After you," Vivaan gestured her to move, while still clutching his stomach.
The sky had darkened by the time they had walked halfway through the pack.
Yara immediately took out her medicine when she noticed that they were on the path to go to the Omega town.
"That won't be needed." Vivaan took the medicines out of her hand, before gesturing her to look forward.
Soon enough Yara could notice the faint glow coming from the clearing, the one where she had first smelled Nihal on Hritika's hoodie. She moved forward in trance, as the faint glow started getting more and more clear.
Vivaan silently backed away, knowing his work was done.
Yara looked at the brightly lit area. Fairy lights were hung over a small patch of the clearing, along with the colourful lanterns. Her eyes slowly moved towards the table that was covered with her favourite food. Then her eyes fell on the guitar and the handsome man holding it.
Nihal was looking at her like she owned the world. They silently stared at each other lovingly, before Nihal started playing a song.
He wasn't the best singer, but he wasn't tone deaf either. It wouldn't matter even if he was, as more than the song, the person singing it mattered to Yara.
Nihal kept his guitar aside and forwarded his hand to Yara. They stood close to each other as Nihal continued singing.
Yara was glad that he didn't ask her for a dance as she would have lost her feet in nervousness. Her breath hitched as Nihal slowly caressed her face. Their noses were almost touching when he finished his last notes. Before Nihal could back away, Yara latched her lips on his. The desperation of waiting too long leaked through her hurried moments. Nihal slowly rubbed her back, while still kissing her. Once the urgency was gone, they fell into a gentle pace, savouring each other.
They breathed heavily as they stopped. Yara closed her eyes in embarrassment once she realized what she had done. Nihal chuckled seeing her embarrassed face. She looked too cute with the red cheeks and slightly bruised lips. He kissed her forehead gently, wordlessly comforting her, before whispering, "I love you," in her ears. Her ears too went red as she whispered back, "Love you too."
He soon guided her towards the dinner table. The awkwardness of the first kiss soon disappeared and they both had a great time talking and laughing about anything and everything.
While Yara had assumed that the date had ended, Nihal surprised her by going on his knees.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, holding out a ring.
"Marriage?" Yara asked hiccupping, shocked out of her mind.
"Ye...Yeah. It is the human way of union," Nihal explained. His nervousness increased as the seconds ticked by and Yara didn't forward her hand.
He sighed, before standing up. He shouldn't have popped the question as soon as he confessed his love for her. He stupidly thought that she would be over the moon as their relationship was far behind the werewolf standards. What was fast for him was too slow for Yara. However, it seemed that he misjudged the situation.
"Sorry, I guess it was too soon," he said, not wanting Yara to feel uncomfortable.
"What No! I do want to marry you," Yara yelled in panic.
"Then...why?" Nihal was confused but a small hope had risen.
"Nihal," Yara looked at him with sheepish eyes, and said "I can't wear a silver ring."
Nihal chuckled, hearing her answer, "Do you really think I am that stupid to bring a silver ring? It's a platinum ring, silly."
"Oops." Red hue spread on her cheeks again. Her scores of embarrassment were scoring high.
Jewellery weren't too famous in their kind. Wearing something precious that could break on your transformation, wasn't something werewolves needed. Hence, the lack of knowledge between the platinum and silver that looked similar at the first glance.
"It's fine, I understand," Nihal laughed heartily.
Yara hurriedly forwarded her hand to him. When Nihal didn't do anything, she eyed towards the ring urgently, hinting him to do the honours.
Nihal gently slid the ring on her finger, before kissing her knuckles.
"I won't be able to wear it everyday, but I promise to cherish it for my whole life," Yara promised, caressing the ring, while Sachi jumped inside her mind in excitement.
"Can you please ask Sachi to come forward?" Nihal asked sweetly, causing Sachi to squeal.
"My turn, my turn," she danced before taking over.
Sachi frowned when she didn't see Nihal in front of her eyes. A light tug on her dress made her look down and see that Nihal was back on his knees.
"Will you mark me after our wedding?" Nihal asked, holding a bracelet he had made with Sachi's personality on his mind.
Tears fell out of her eyes, when Nihal asked the question. They had made the mind to forget about it when they had seen Nihal freak out at the thought of a bite mark. But here he was, leaving all his discomfort aside for them.
Nihal stood up and gently wiped the tears that had fallen from her eyes.
"Let's seal our bond in both human and werewolf ways," he said in a loving tone.
Yara and Sachi both were collectively overwhelmed. They jumped on him, wrapping their legs on his waist and gave him the tightest hug ever known to mankind.
Nihal had made all their worries vanish. He had fully accepted them and there was nothing that could beat this happiness.
