Chapter 1 - Lone Wolf, Lance Teller

The crunch of fallen leaves sounded throughout the forest in the state of Michigan as a young woman, age of 22, walked along the dirt trail, her hair up in a signified bun as she wore a Police Uniform, her black boots crunching the leaves as she walked on them. The young woman, known as Kris, sniffed the air, trying to pinpoint the scent of the Lone Wolf that was causing trouble for both the WereWolf Community and the Human Town a few miles from where she was. Her gun filled with silvers bullets bounced against her hip as she walked, staying as silent as she could be. The cold Autumn wind brushed pass her carrying the Lone Wolf's scent making her smile in triumph. She turned and headed in the direction the scent was coming from, a few moments later she finds paw prints imprinted into the dirt along with a torn tree branch and leaves. The Lone Wolf was losing it's mind, about to become a Rogue.

Usually, Lone Wolves do not cause any trouble, but some do and when they do they slowly lose their sanity before turning into a Rogue. While Lone Wolves smell of the forest, mainly Pine and Apricot, Rogues smell like trash and the dead, a putrid smell no wolf would want to smell.

Kris covered the tracks with her boot before following after the direction they were pointing towards, pulling her gun out from her holster as she neared the thrashing Lone Wolf, tearing it's fur out as it was currently in a half shift. The process has already started, but there was still a chance to save the Lone Wolf. With a small sigh, Kris aimed at the Lone Wolf, taking the safety off before shooting at the ground next to it, stopping the Lonw Wolf. The Lone Wolf slowly turned towards her, snarling as it's muscled body stalked towards her, towering over her as foam dripped out of it's mouth.

"You probably can't hear me, but this is going to hurt like hell." Grabbing her concealed dagger laced with Moon-Flower Liquid and Wolfsbane, she stabbed the Lone Wolf in both legs having it howl out in pain. Kris jumped back when it thrashed it's claws out at her. Kris placed the now bloody dagger back in it's concealed position before cocking her gun, aiming at it

"This is also going to hurt." A bang sounded off, it echoing throughout the forest before reaching the ears of wolves from a pack, many Rogues in the process.

The Silver Bullet was shot out of it's muzzle and hit the Lone Wolf in his left ankle, it hissing in pain as he fell to the ground, clutching onto it as he shifted back into human form, bare naked, shivering from the cold. Kris placed her fun back in it's holster before walking to a nearby tree, removing a stone to reveal men's clothing. Kris picked it up before throwing it over to the shivering male

"You're welcome, Lone Wolf." Kris told the Lone Wolf who glared up at her, angered that she stabbed his twice and shot him once

"Damn Hunter!" The Lone Wolf spat at her having her roll her eyes before crouching down in front of him, vibrant green eyes meeting dark brown

"You're lucky that I didn't let you become a Rogue then shot you with an silver bullet between your eyes." Kris informed him before turning around crossing her arms

"The dagger was laced with Wolfsbane and Moon-Flower Liquid so you won't be detected or be able to shift for a while. And of the course the bullet was made out of silver-" Kris was caught off by the Lone Wolf

"Why do you stink of both Human and Wolf?" The Lone Wolf asked having her smirk, turning her head over her shoulder to look back at him

"Half-Breed." Before The Lone Wolf could question her, several scents appeared in the air along with shouts and thudding footsteps. Kris narrowed her eyes, staring down at her 22' pistol

"Looks like we got company. Put those clothes on and quickly, I would rather not be captured today, I bet you feel the same way." Kris ordered The Lone Wolf as he painfully, but quickly slipped on the clothing that Kris threw at him

"They are a size to small-"

"Oh shut up and whine later, let's go!" Kris yelled at him, partially losing her temper before helping him stand up and began to jog, him bouncing on his uninjured foot as he put most of his weight in Kris

"Ow, ow, ow, ow-" Kris shooshed him, placing him behind a tree gently as he cringed in pain, placing his hands on top of the stab wounds in both of his thighs

"Stay quiet, it looks like they split up, one group of four is heading towards us as we speak."

"How do you know that?" He asked her having her send a snarky smile towards him

"I have been doing this for two whole years Lone Wolf, been on the run since I was 13, jumping from town to town. But now, I'm tired of running, and so I shall make my presence notarized." The thudding of footsteps sounded coming closer to the duo

"Wait, what's your name?" The Lone Wolf asked

"I will not tell unless you tell me yours first." Kris' ears perked up, becoming pointed as she heard where the other group was

"Lance, Lance Teller." Kris nodded, smirking to herself

"Kristine Jones, but my acquaintances call me Kris, or well, the Half-Breed Hunter." Autumn leaves fell around her as she stated her name. Four Fighter Wolves appeared 10 feet in front of Kris, all of them laughing once they saw Kris

"It's just a weak human girl-!" Kris growled menacingly, eyes flashing olive green causing them to stumble back in shock

"Wait- What...?" One of them asked, confused by the growl and eyes flashing. Kris' smirk grew wider as claws extended, canines making an appearance. Fur started to erupt from her skin and back hunching, bones cracking filling the air, the wolves shrieked in fright before pushing each other out of the way, dashing off away from the area out of sight. Kris took a calm and collected breath, claws retracting along with canines as the fur disappeared back into her tan skin, eyes tuning back to their original color and her posture returning. Kris cracked her neck, stretching as Lance stared at her wide eyed, mouth agape in shock.

Kris turned towards him, placing her hands on her hips as she leaned to the side

"What?" Kris innocently asked him

"Uhh, Umm...-How did you?" Lance rubbed his eyes, still not comprehending as to what he just witnessed

"Oh how I stopped myself from shifting? Easy peezy lemon squeezy." Kris swiped her eyebrow with her fore arm that collected sweat during her transformation

"How did-"

"A great magician never reveals her secrets." Kris placed her index finger over her lips before winking and walking over to him, helping him up

"You may complain about your clothing being a size to small fatty."
