This was the time for sure. He knew it was coming eventually, and he had even prepared for it. But sitting here now, outside the managers office awaiting his fate, he couldn't help but feel nervous and sweaty. He didn't want this to happen, and of course he doesn't blame himself like the stubborn kid he is. But to be honest, it really wasn't his fault. 

First of all, when you work in a dead end job at seventeen years old filled with horrible people, who would blame you for skipping work several times? Disregarding the fact that the owners had blatantly lied to him. They had told him it was part time. Working only two days for eight hours. Working from seven in the morning to three in the afternoon. But that wasn't the case. 

He quickly got moved onto another shift, working four days a week. But this time working at half 1 in the afternoon to ten at night. An absolute terrible shift considering Hiccup couldn't do anything on those days, like hang out with friends or play rugby. 

Speaking of rugby, that's the main reason why he's in this mess in the first place. He loved rugby, Absolutely loved it. He plays for his local under 17's team the Berkian Warriors. His team wasn't really the best in the country, but it's still a decent team full of chemistry, considering the fact that most of the players came from the same high school. (Including Hiccup and his main friends)

He was really good as well. He doesn't like to say or even think that because he isn't that type of kid, but just by watching him you know that he's a good player. However, his love for the game comes with obvious consequences. Like trying to keep a job...

The team has two training sessions a week and a game day, all of which are on the days were Hiccup has to work. So most days he makes up that he's ill and goes training and plays instead. But even that doesn't get you out of trouble. The managers have found out that he's been lying all this time, and he'll be lucky to still be in a job after today.

"Hiccup!" A voice shouted which brought Hiccup out of his thoughts with a jump. 

He cleared his throat and stood up, preparing himself for the worse. He sighed and entered the office and there was his boss, sitting behind her desk. She had blonde hair and was a little overweight. She must of been in her late forties early fifties, but to be honest Hiccup really couldn't care less. 

The kid entered and pursed his lips instantly, knowing that he was in trouble. The blonde woman nodded at him to sit down, which he obliged. He sat down and placed his work bag beneath him. 

The blonde woman and his boss, who was known as Tracy, was just finishing up some paper work while Hiccup made himself comfortable. 

A few seconds passed and with a short sigh, Tracy looked up from her papers and glared at the kid in front of her. 

"You know why I called you in here for, don't you?" She asked. 

"Yes ma'am." Hiccup politely answered. 

"Missing a handful of work due to "illness" and then I find out you were lying to me..." She bluntly spoke. 

To be fair, Hiccup couldn't really defend himself. Even though the company had lied to him, but he knew if he brought that up he would just get into even more trouble. So he just stayed silent while his head dropped down to the floor. 

"I know you love your rugby, but missing your work is unacceptable. We're paying you for work you're not even doing, and that's just unfair to me, your work colleagues and the company." 

"I know ma'am. But to be honest, I don't come here to make friends and have a laugh. The only reason why I wanted this job was to have some money in my pocket so I could actually buy something for my self or save it for my future." He told her truthly. 

But the blonde woman shook her head. "That's no excuse kid... and I am sorry. But you've missed too many days... I have to let you go..."

Just a short chapter but at least I'm back writing again. I'm not back for sure yet but I will be updating more frequently than I was and I'm sorry for any mistakes!
