"Seriously, Hiccup!" Astrid yelled with a disappointing look on her face.

The pair of teenagers arrived at the bowling place about fifteen minutes ago. They greeted each other like they normally do, then went inside, away from the pouring rain. They skipped passed the arcade and made it to the small café. They sat down and ordered food since neither of them had eaten yet. Hiccup used his last pay slip to buy the food. And if they were going to bowl or at least play in the arcade for a bit after, then Hiccup will use the rest of his money.

And in case you haven't figured it out yet? Hiccup had just told Astrid about his job which he no longer has.

"It was a crap job anyway!" Hiccup complained and Astrid sighed, leaning back on her chair.

"It's not about the job, Hiccup. It's about having some money in your back pocket."

Hiccup nodded. "I know. You're right. But I hated it and I would rather have no job than do that again!"

The blonde shook her head, "And I'm guessing you haven't told your dad as well?" She raised a brow.

The auburn male pursed his lips and shook his head. "He'll kill me when I get home..." He muttered.

"Yep, probably. I just can't understand why you skipped so many work days?" Hiccup was about to speak, but Astrid already knew what he was going to say and beat him to it.

"I know you love your rugby Hiccup. And to be honest, I love watching you play," She said with a blush. "But I'm sure they could of figured something out for you?"

Hiccup shook his head again. "Nah. They wouldn't move training about just for one guy. It doesn't work like that. If you can't make it? then tough..."

Silence fell down upon them for a few minutes. It wasn't really awkward because they knew each other so well. But it definitely wasn't comfortable. And they prayed the gods when, after a few more moments of silence, their food arrived.

Hiccup ordered a cheese burger and fries, while Astrid had a hotdog and sweet potato fries. The blonde quickly covered her hotdog with ketchup, while Hiccup did the same to his fries. They started taking little bites out of their food and finally started up another conversation.

"So..." Astrid said, trying to keep her food in her mouth, using her hand just in case. "Big day coming up!"

Hiccup grinned and nodded. The season was about to start in a few weeks, meaning that Berk was going to participate in a pre-season tournament. Under 17's clubs from around the country make their way to wherever the tournament would be held at. And this year it would be held in Manchester. Only about a half an hour car ride from Berk.

It was your classic setup. You got placed in a group with three other teams, four altogether. Then, whoever wins that group will advance onto the quarter finals. Then the semi's. Then the final. And at the end of it, if you win it all, you get a nice prize. No team takes it that seriously, but it's still a nice thing to win. You get 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. And whoever get's the most points advances through. Then it's a simple whoever loses goes out after the group stages.

Berk have never even gotten close to winning it. But like I said, no team takes it seriously. So teams don't really lose sleep over it if they don't win. But it's still rugby to Hiccup. And Hiccup doesn't love anything more than to play his favourite sport competitively.

"Yeah I know. It is in Manchester, Astrid. So you don't have to come if you don't want too."

The blonde scoffed. "And miss you winning the whole thing? I wouldn't miss it for the world!" She said happily.

They both laughed and continued to eat in silence for a few minutes. This time though it was comfortable. They chawed down their food in record time and cleared up. Astrid reached down to grabbed her coat (Which she took off as soon as they sat down at the café) and put it on.

But Hiccup protested. "Woah, Woah. Where do you think you're going?" He smirked.

Astrid looked at  him with a confused expression and slowly pealed her coat back off. "Umm, home, I think?"

"But don't you want to stay?"

"And do what?"

"I dunno. Bowling? arcade?"

Astrid smiled and placed her coat behind her chair. "Sure!"
