Here's a picture of drunk Nialler.

Niall's POV
NEW YEAR'S EVE.
Well, the last week has gone by in such a blur, and before I knew it, it was already New Year's Eve.
We were currently in Mullingar, just the way Carina and I had planned.
We decided to spend Christmas at her place and New Year's at mine.
Greg, Denise, Carina, and I were at a pub, and the atmosphere was buzzing here.
The place was dimly lit as the music roared around the place. The bar was basically overflowing with locals and tourists, and I almost thought that the liquor wouldn't be sufficient.
We were sitting at a booth as we sipped on our drinks and looked at the people around us.
The girls around us barely wore any clothes, and I suddenly felt like Denise and Carina were the only women who were the most dressed.
Mum and dad said they were too 'old' to be at a pub and that they'd babysit Theo at home because they wanted a quiet celebration.
Well, we weren't complaining.
"Let's dance?" Greg asked, and Carina looked nervous.
The four of us stood up and walked towards the crowded dance floor.
I rested my hand on Carina's lower back and found her relax under my touch.
"Don't worry, baby. We're just going to be dancing like no one's looking at us," I yelled into her ear over the loud music, and she smiled.
We began dancing to the fast rhythm of the music booming, and we were such bad dancers.
Greg was always the good dancer, and I barely even kept up.
Greg laughed his ass off as he looked at me dancing like a maniac, and Carina just giggled. Denise was high and was just dancing, so she probably didn't even notice our actions.
I saw a guy move his hands down Carina's hips, and she turned around and pushed him.
By the look on his face, he was pretty wasted and was just trying to get laid, but that doesn't mean he can touch my girl. Or any girl.
I pushed him away, and he put his arms up defensively.
"Let it go, he's pretty wasted," Greg yelled into my ear before I could punch the living life out of him.
"Babe, we wouldn't want to end this year and start the next one with trouble," Carina said as she yelled and placed her hand on my chest.
I put my hands around her hips and smiled like a five-year-old who got gifted his favorite toy or candy.
She's mine, and only I can touch her.
The music went down, and the crowd booed almost immediately.
"Whoa, woah, woah, hold on. It's time for the New Year's countdown," the DJ spoke through the microphone, and the crowd cheered.
"Let's start counting in..." he said as he looked at maybe his watch.
Could he even see in this dim light? Or maybe it was a digital watch?
"10," he said, and the crowd cheered.
"9," he said, and the crowd chanted with him.
I pulled Carina closer in my arms, and she smiled as she looked at me.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Greg pulling Denise in his arms too.
"3," the crowd roared, and I joined them too.
"2." Carina joined in too.
"1".
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" the DJ exclaimed, and I kissed Carina.
The kiss was gentle but heated up soon.
"If all the couples are done sucking each other's faces, then let's party all night," the DJ yelled, and the crowd hooted.
Soon, another track played, and the crowd was going wild.
"Happy New Year, baby," I yelled into Carina's ear.
"Happy New Year," she mouthed and pecked my lips.
.
.
We continued dancing our drunk asses for another hour or so until we couldn't even stand properly.
The four of us were pretty drunk; well, Carina wasn't really drunk, but she was a little drunk.
So, that still counts as drunk, right?
We anyway managed to find a cab, which drove us home, and I'm just glad we were able to tell him the right address.
Mum and dad would be asleep, and they'd surely kill us if they saw how wasted we were.
So Greg managed to unlock the main door with a key that is kept under the big pot next to the main door, and we managed to tiptoe to our rooms without falling or throwing anything.
I don't really remember what exactly happened, but I remember Carina taking my shoes off before everything went blank.
.
.
THE NEXT DAY.
The pounding in my head was so bad that I couldn't even open my eyes.
After a few minutes I managed to make a run for my washroom as I rushed towards the toilet seat where I emptied all the alcohol contents.
Of course, my hangover is starting to kick in, and it fucking sucks.
I puked until I could puke no more and flushed the mess away.
I heard some shuffling behind me and turned around to see a very uncomfortable Carina.
"Babe, have some water," she said as she walked towards me with a glass of water.
She rubbed my back as I gulped down the glass of water in one go.
"I suppose some breakfast and lemonade would do you some good," she said as she helped me up, and I smiled.
The next few minutes were spent as Carina and I got ready before we headed downstairs for breakfast.
We were greeted by the fresh smell of bacon and eggs, which were being prepared by mum.
We came down to see a very hungover Greg and Denise as they held their heads in their hands and were sitting on the barstools in the open kitchen.
"Morning, all," I said, and they looked at us.
"Good morning, son," mum said brightly, and Greg groaned.
"How's the morning supposed to be good?" he groaned, and Denise lightly smacked his bicep.
"Who asked you to drink like a maniac?" Mum asked angrily, and Carina and I sat on the barstools and watched the show ahead of us.
"Mum, it was New Year's Eve," Greg groaned, and mom glared at him.
"Then shut up and don't complain," she replied, and Greg nodded inattentively.
"Where's dad and Theo?" I asked.
"They're out in the backyard. Theo wanted to play dodgeball," she said, and I laughed.
Mum served us our breakfast, which consisted of bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, and mushrooms.
We didn't even bother looking at each other until our breakfast was done.
"Here's some lemonade for my hungover kids," mum said, and placed four glasses of lemonade in front of us.
"Thanks, Mum," Greg, Denise, and I said in unison.
"Thanks, Mrs. Horan," Carina said at the same time.
"Come on, you can call me mum, if you feel like it," my mum said, and Carina's eyes widened.
Soon she nodded enthusiastically, and a huge smile spread over her beautiful face.
"Okay, mum," she whispered, and mum and I smiled.
My mum gave her a side hug and kissed her forehead.
"I need a kiss too," Denise whined, and we laughed.
"Yeah, I could kiss you," Greg said, and she rolled her eyes at him.
My mum kissed Denise's forehead, and she smiled brightly.
I'm just so glad that my family has gotten along really well with Carina and she with them. It makes me happy.
What a perfect way to begin the year.
