Chapter 1: Baby, I know.
Sundinas POV
✨️Song - Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter✨️
"Sunnie! Are you here?!" Amelia's voice rang through the little guest house Sundina occupied behind her parents' large ranch style home. Sundina groaned a bit as she sat up in her bed. She was up late last night working on an AP English paper regarding the great Gatsby, so she was extremely exhausted.
"I'm here, Lia.." Sunnie said softly, though her voice was morphing due to the yawn she couldn't fight off. She lifted her arms to stretch, and when she finally opened her eyes, she smiled at her best friend and whistled a tune of approval as she took in her friends dress, It was white and tight and hugged each curve nicely. Amelia was stunning. She was tall, curvy, had porcelain skin, and long silky brown hair and blue eyes that were like the ocean. Even better, she had an Australian accent that Sundina loved to try and mock, though it didn't work out well with her own Spanish mixed Jamaican creole accent.
"Wow! You look great.. do you have a date or something?" Sunnie asked as she pulled the blankets off of her to scoot to the edge of the bed and stretch some more. Amelia gave her friend a look and narrowed her eyes a bit as if the look she was giving her was obvious. That's when it dawned on Sundina, and she sighed softly. An apologetic smile is now spreading on her plump lips.
"Right. We have a coffee date.. then we are going to Ulta to get perfume." She confirmed, and Amelia grinned and nodded.
"Correct! Now get up, possum! Time to go! I hope you showered last night. I want to beat the crowd at Dunkin!" Amelia yelled as Sundina walked to the bathroom.
Of course, Sundina showered last night. She showers every night, so her mornings go much smoother. After she did her morning routines and redefined her curls by adding products, she walked out into the main room again and started rummaging through her closet for a dress. Amelia was in white, and Sundina didn't want to match, so she decided on a blue water ripple print bodycon dress that was skin tight and also hugged her foreign curves deliciously. Her dad didn't like her wearing things like this at her age, but she was 18 in less than a week now, so she felt like she could wear what she wanted. Her mother never had an issue with it. Her mother was very comfortable in her own skin and wanted the same for Sundina. Sundina didn't want to be like Xiomara, though, when it came to certain things, which is why she tried her hardest to be safe and make smart decisions. What damage could this one little dress do, though?
Once Sundina was dressed, she tinted her eyebrows, added mascara to her lashes, added a blush to her cheeks, and then added cermex to her lips. She didn't do too much makeup. She only did just enough to have a pretty natural look— something her aunt Salice taught her when she was a freshman. She was a senior now, and though her eyebrow style changed, the rest of her routine did not.
"Okay, boo.. I'm ready." Sundina said with a smile, grabbing her house keys and her Michael Kors purse from the room. Amelia grinned as she checked her friend out.
"You look hot! I look hot! Fuck we're hotties!" She beamed and Sundina couldn't help but to chuckle at that. Amelia wasn't wrong, though. They were beautiful girls and always looked and smelled good. Amelia graduated 2 years ago, though, so she was no longer in school but was attending the community college studying music and playing the cello. Amelia was 20 now but didn't mind having a best friend who was two years younger. They became close in choir during Sundinas sophomore year and Amelia's senior year, and they've been close ever since. Not to mention, they share mutual friends in Scott and Stiles. Those two boobs kept them on their toes for sure, but they loved them.
The two girls left the small guest house and walked down the stone pathway to get to the cars, Sundina saw Amelia's bike next to her Integra TLX, and she sighed softly.
"You passenger princess." Sundina teased, and Amelia grinned and happily fist bumped the air(which was totally a Stiles thing to do, by the way) and climbed in the passenger side of Sundinas car while Sundina got in the drivers seat. It didn't take long for the girls to get en route to Dunkin and Ulta.

"I swear this will forever be my favorite scent." Sundina murmured as she sprayed the purple bottle of Gucci Flora all over herself before placing it in her basket. Amelia smiled and picked up the matching pink bottle and nodded her head in agreement. The scents were different, but both smelled like flowers. Gucci definitely had amazing smelling perfumes.
"Should we get Scott and Stiles something?" Sundina asked as she picked up some Versace males cologne. Amelia shrugged, and she also picked up a bottle of mens dolce and gabana.
"I mean, we could.. but when are we actually going to see them to give it to them? Ones in Quantico and the others in LA." Amelia reminded Sunnie, making her sigh heavily.
"Right.. you're right. I'm still gonna get this for my brother. He smells." Sundina murmured about her twin brother, Sage. Amelia couldn't help but chuckle at that. Sage didn't smell at all, he actually smelled better than most males but she knew that was because he was in touch with his feminine side and learned good hygiene from both of his parents who were freaking stunning. Ridiculously so. All the Deaton-Villanuevas were stunning. It was insane.
"Do we need anything else?" Amelia asked, and Sundina shook her head.
"No.. I think we should stick to our list. Otherwise, we will be spending more than we need to, and my papa will not be happy if I go over my credit amount again." She said with a nervous smile, and Amelia snorted.
"Daddys girl." She teased, and Sundina stuck her tongue out at her.
Neither of them knew just how true that statement would turn out to be very, very soon.
As they walked to the checkout lane, the song Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter started playing on the Ulta radio and the two girls grinned at each other and while Amelia was a little shy, Sundina raised her iced coffee and sipped it and swayed her hips a little to the beat. She nudged Amelia with her elbow, and Amelia started swaying her hips to the beat as well.
Once they were all checked out, they walked out of the store and started heading for the car. As the girls reached the car, Sundina walked around the car to get to the drivers side but stopped in her tracks as she was opening her door when an all too familiar camaro pulled up next to her.
Derek Hale.
She licked her lips and watched as he got out of the car, leather jacket on those large, broad shoulders, and matching sunglasses on his face covering those piercing green eyes that turned a deadly red when he got angry enough.
He looked at her and smiled and at first she was going to ask what he was doing, but then he let Eli out of the backseat and that's when she realized Toys R us was right next to Ulta.
Amelia was already in the car, but that didn't stop Derek from walking around the camaro to greet Sundina.
"Hey you. Aren't you supposed to be in school?" He asked her, raising a thick brow which honestly had a language of its own.
Sundina hummed, and she returned the smile and shook her head. "I don't start until eleven. I only have two classes a day all year. Perks of being a senior with extra credits." She beamed and flirtatiously smiled wider at him, her lashes batting slightly. She couldn't place her finger on it just yet, but there was just something about this man that had her ready to risk it all. Though she had a suspicion of what it could be— Especially after reading the druid books after their first encounter.
Derek grinned. It made him and his wolf very proud to have such a smart and level-headed mate. He couldn't express that to her just yet, though.
"Alright, smart ass." He teased, and she gave him the vulgar finger, and instinctively, he nipped at it, causing her eyes to widen. Derek quickly realized what he had just done, and he glanced down at Eli, who was luckily not paying attention, and he cleared his throat.
"Have a good rest of your day, Sundina. Tell your father I said hello." He murmured, lifting his glasses to wink at her, and for once, she couldn't form any words. So, instead of saying anything, she simply nodded and offered him another warm smile. She waved to Eli as the father and son duo walked off, and once they were inside of Toys R us, Sundina sank inside the car and looked towards Amelia.
"So are we gonna talk about that?" Amelia asked, and Sundina made a face. She was hoping Amelia didn't catch that, but that wasn't the case. There was nothing that Amelia didn't catch when it came to Sundina. This woman was her number one supoorter and detective, and she would notice any and everything at all times. Sundina sighed.
"There's nothing to talk about..." She sighed softly, and Amelia grunted.
"Mhm. You met him for the first time a few weeks ago. You've been dreaming of the day ever since, and now this... what the hell is going on?" Amelia asked in her accusatory tone. Sundina whined, placed her head in her hands, and shook her head.
"I have an idea.. but I could be wrong.. but I don't think I am. I mean, my intuition is never wrong... perks of being a druid.. so after the first week of dreams after I met him, I started reading the druid books on wolves... I think I'm his mate, but I won't feel it until I'm eighteen. He feels it, though, and bendito.. he's such a gentleman he won't act on it until I'm ready.... I think he slipped up today because we were too close for comfort." She informed Amelia, whose mouth was now agape.
"Wow bitch! You're an alphas mate?! Scott and Stiles are going to lose it... you know their relationship with Derek." Amelia said through a chuckle, Amelia has only been in the States for two years, but she's come to know a lot about the people around her. Yes, Sundina had only just met Derek Hale, but she's known about him for a while. She's also known about his family. She's just never fully met them. The only one she's ever met was Talia Hale, but that's because her father was Talias Emissary for years. Sundina knows Derek's history with Scott and Stiles, and quite frankly, she thinks her other two best friends are idiots sometimes.
"Yeah.... There are a lot of factors involved, though." Sundina trailed off and leaned her head back against the headrest.
"He's in a relationship with his high school sweetheart. They've been together for over ten years, and they have a son.. I am barely eighteen and haven't done anything with a boy except kiss one." She breathed, and she shook her head.
Amelia hummed and nodded, and she placed her hand on her friends shoulder and squeezed.
"You're a virgin... but you won't be for long when Derek gets his hands on you. He's gonna have you begging for mercy!" Amelia cackled, and Sundina blushed.
"Amelia! Stop! Chica loca!" She squealed, and both girls burst out in a fit of laughter. When Sundina started the car, Espresso was on once more, and she gave Amelia a look and turned the music all the way up. Both girls started singing as Sundina drove back to the house.
Little did they know, Derek stayed at the entrance of Toys R us to listen to the women's conversation. He was pleased to know she was a virgin, but even more pleased to know she knew who she was to him and knew who he was to her. It would make things much easier.
She knew.
His baby knew.
He was ready for her.
