Mingi leaned against the counter and picked at the dark brown chicken on his plate.

Yeosang was going on about how Seonghwa had contacted him and given him the details on what the Wolf Pack was planning.

He didn't like it... Why on earth would they be going after a special particle? And what did this particle do?

None of this sat right with him and he'd make sure to talk to Hongjoong about it later.

For now they needed to come up with some kind of a plan.

"Can you find this facility?" Hongjoong asked the hacker from where he was standing next to Mingi.

The taller couldn't help but smile a little at how comfortable Hongjoong was with being close to him. It warmed his heart to know he had actually changed his heart that much from the first time he met.

Then he shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. Now was not the time to focus on that.

"Yeah, I can get my drones sent out and I'll start looking. If it's some place north of the city then it's probably stayed outside of the Mafia's control. Which means we might be able to get a jump on this and do some good." Yeosang said, rubbing his hands together.

"As long as word hasn't reached them that we are fugitives now." Jongho pursed his lips and glanced nervously at their leader.

The oldest let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry I did this to you."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Mingi said, his forehead furrowed as he looked down at him. "We've always been fugitives. You're the one who gave up everything to come with us..."

The room was silent for a moment as his words sank in. They all knew it was true. Hongjoong could have stayed behind and faced a lesser punishment. He could have also turned them all it to try and save his and Yunho's jobs.

But he didn't. He had chosen them.

"Let's not worry about that now." Hongjoong muttered, rubbing his eyebrow furiously. "Start by finding that facility, Yeosang, and if you can, try to get a message to them. Even if it's just something asking them to contact us."

Yeosang nodded and left the room.

Mingi noticed Jongho glancing after him for a moment before he looked away with a pained expression on his face. Things had been awkward between the two of them... He'd have to ask about it later.

"I'll do inventory." The fighter suggested. "Then I'll see if I can get ahold of my contacts. If the Wolf Pack is all together, I'm guessing they will be heavily armed. We need to be prepared too."

"Sounds good." Hongjoong nodded in approval. "I'm going to go check on Yunho. It's been awhile..." His voice wavered a little as he pushed off the counter and walked away.

Mingi waited for a moment, then followed after him. He had no intention of letting Hongjoong avoid things, but he also knew that the older was dealing with Yunho's pain in his own way.

When he rounded the corner, he saw Hongjoong standing in the doorway to Yunho's room, leaning against the side.

Yunho was still sound asleep on the bed, but his head was turned like he had been talking to San before falling asleep.

The younger was in a chair, hunched over so his head was resting on his arms.

They stood there for a moment, just watching them, before Mingi slowly took Hongjoong's hand and pulled him away from the doorway.

The older led them down to another room and slipped inside. Then he surprised Mingi by turning around and pressing his face into Mingi's chest.

A muffled sob made Mingi hold onto him tight and rub his back. "Shhh, it's ok." He whispered, bending his neck so he could press his lips and nose into the top of Hongjoong's head. "It's ok. We are going to figure this out."

Hongjoong took a deep shuddering breath and nodded, but still didn't pull his face away. "Imkndf... Mmnffd nnddkdnf..."

Mingi couldn't help but chuckle at the muffled words coming from the older. "Come again, love?"

He felt Hongjoong's shoulders sag. "I said... I'm lost, and I don't know what to do." The older said without looking up.

At that, Mingi felt his heart break a little. "Why did you do it?" He asked, still rubbing circles in Hongjoong's back.

"Because I didn't want to be without you." Hongjoong answered immediately. He finally looked up and Mingi saw the tears there. "That entire time we were packing up, I didn't even question my decision. What we built together... All of us... The thought of losing any of you was more terrifying than being arrested. As crazy as that sounds."

As Hongjoong spoke, Mingi's heart started to swell and beat faster. He couldn't help but smile at the way the older's hands started to wave when he talked, and the way his lips moved slightly to left as he spoke.

"I saw an opportunity, and I took it. Plus I couldn't give up on Seonghwa and Wooyoung. They are my family too. And I'm not ready to stop fighting for what is right either. I know we've come up with diddly squat so far, and we are no closer to taking down the Pack than the day we started bu-" Hongjoong paused when he realized Mingi had started laughing at him. He pushed the taller away and crossed his arms. "Why the hell are you laughing at me?"

Mingi covered his mouth as he waved his other hand back and forth. "I'm sorry, but did you just say 'diddly squat'?"

Hongjoong turned bright red and sputtered for a second before he just turned his head away. "Here I am trying to be serious and you're laughing at me!"

"Only because you're cute when you get animated about something." Mingi pulled him back in and cupped his chin. "I didn't mean to laugh, I'm sorry." He whispered.

The older narrowed his eyes.

"I've told you before that we will figure this out. If we can get a message to that facility, then we will be one step ahead of the Pack. We have a start." He paused for a second. "Do you have any idea how happy you've made me?"

Hongjoong blinked as a couple of times and another blush slowly crept across his face.

"You've risked everything for me. I would have forced you to stay if you hadn't stunned me like that." Mingi flashed a crooked smile and leaned forward to give the older a kiss. He felt Hongjoong relax immediately, which is exactly what he had been hoping for.

When he pulled back, Hongjoong stepped forward and leaned into his chest. "Thanks Mingi."

"For what?"

"For always being able to calm me down. I know I'm always on overdrive, and I get worked up easily and I-"

"Which you're doing now." Mingi chuckled and pulled his lover over to the bed. "So I want you to get some sleep and try to shut your brain off. I will go help Jongho with supplies and we will take some time to decompress."

"But-"

"No, Joong. You've been through a lot today and I want you to get some rest. Please." Mingi said, rubbing Hongjoong's cheek slowly.

"Just for a little bit." Hongjoong turned and went to lay down on the bed.

Mingi walked over to kiss him on the cheek, smiling at the fact that the older was already falling asleep as he pulled a blanket up to cover him.

He glanced at Hongjoong for a long moment before turning to go and find Jongho.

Their youngest member had set up in the large living room. Bags of supplies were stacked on the side and he had one open on the floor next to him.

"Hey." Mingi moved to sit next to him. "What can I do to help?"

"Do you want to start going through ammunition? The more accurate we are, the better idea I'll have of what we need." Jongho said without looking up from his notebook.

The taller just nodded before grabbing another back and set to work on sorting everything out.

They had actually managed to grab quite a bit, so they were at a good starting place. They had several hundred hand gun and rifle bullets, about a hundred shot gun shells, as well as some spell ammo for a few other guns. There were also a decent about of grenades and most of Wooyoung's knives made it.

He also took stock of the guns they actually had. Seonghwa would be happy that his sniper rifle made it, as well as his collection of scopes.

"Well it looks like San and I were thorough, which is good." Mingi said after a couple hours of working in silence.

"Yeah, I'm impressed. I know we got most of Yeosang's equipment out too, he just needs to get it set up." The younger said, writing furiously on his notepad.

"Speaking of Yeosang, what's going on with you two?" Mingi asked slowly, wanting to test the waters.

Jongho paused for just a moment, then continued. "I have no idea what you are talking about."

"Come on Jongho. I know you like him." Mingi set down the gun he had been cleaning and leaned forward.

The fighter clenched his jaw and looked up. "I have no idea what you are talking about." He said again.

Mingi sighed. "Look, we can't have you two fighting if we are going to get through this."

"We're not fighting. I'm just trying to focus on doing my job."

"Why are you deflecting?"

"Why do you care?" Jongho snapped, slamming his pencil on the table.

"Because I see you as my brother and I care for you." Mingi said, trying to stay calm.

Jongho seemed shocked by his answer and he slumped against the couch. "There's nothing going on between us... He's made that quite clear." The pain was evident in his voice as he spoke, not looking at the older. "I want there to be something... Wanted... There to be something. But ever since the break in and the grocery store... Yeosang and I had been distracted, and he blames himself. So now he won't give me the time of day."

Mingi swore silently to himself. Yeosang couldn't hold himself responsible for that. And it was obvious that Jongho was really hurt by the rejection. "Give him time. There's been a lot that has happened quickly. We all need to sit back and process."

Cold eyes flashed to his. "I've given him time. I'm not doing it anymore. I won't let myself fall into that trap. I'm accustomed to being alone. Now my only focus is going to be the mission. I would appreciate it if you would just leave it be." Jongho stood up and started to walk away, but he paused and looked over his shoulder. "Please, Mingi. I can't go through the constant pain. He made his choice, and I've made mine."

Mingi sat there, stunned, as he watched the younger walk away. He felt so bad for the fighter. By the sounds of it, he had had a rough life growing up and had spent most of it alone. And then he tried to put others before himself by teaching others how to fight.

"Poor kid..." He sighed. Yeosang was making a big mistake by pushing Jongho away, that was for sure. He would only grow to regret it later.

The thief made a mental note to mention this to Hongjoong later. He needed to know if there was going to be any tension between the members.

Since it had been a few hours, Mingi went to check on Yunho and San.

They were still in the same positions, but it looked like Yunho had some color coming back, so hopefully whatever medication he had been given was working.

Mingi grabbed a blanket to drape over San's shoulders and rubbed the back of his head gently before turning off any lights that had been left on and walking quietly down to Hongjoong's room.

On the way there, he peeked into the room Yeosang had taken and saw him sitting with his legs crossed in his chair. He was leaning over his keyboard with a sucker in his mouth while monitoring the one screen in front of him. It looked like his drones were flying over some forest right now.

He sighed and kept walking, slipping into the desired room.

His leader was curled up under the covers with his fists in tight balls by his face, sound asleep.

The younger smiled and shed his shirt and pants before climbing into bed behind him.

Hongjoong immediately gravitated toward him and let out a sleepy hum and Mingi brought him into his arms.

Tomorrow would be a new day... And they could work on moving forward.
