You embarrass Ennoshita at practice

Ennoshita didn't know how it had become a routine, but, somehow, your appearances at his practices seemed scheduled. There were certain days you seemed to like to hang out in the gym after school and spectate his practices, cheering him on as if he was playing in an actual game. Yet, despite how often you came, you still never failed to embarrass him.

"Chikara, quit standing up straight! Why aren't you down and ready?!" you barked at him from where you sat against the wall, making him grumble and roll his eyes.

"Ha! I was gonna say that, but your girlfriend beat me to it!" Coach Ukai chuckled as he watched the boys play six-on-six.

Ennoshita turned his attention back to the game after letting out a long sigh. He just needed to do something good so that you'd cheer for him rather than coach him like you ran the damn team.

When Asahi served the ball over to his side of the court, Ennoshita passed it perfectly, leading to a perfect set and a kill from his other teammates. As they all celebrated in their huddle, you clapped happily and called out, "Nice pass! That was perfect!"

He simply gave you a thumbs up in return to acknowledge your compliment without actually turning to face you. He knew that you'd give him even more grief if you saw the faint blush on his cheeks. Since it was his turn to serve, he picked up the stray volleyball and served it over with ease.

"Yes! Nice serve!"

He kept his attention on the game as the other team played the ball out and set up their offense. Daichi spiked a ball straight across the court that hit Ennoshita's chest and resulted in a shanked ball.

"Don't worry about it; you got the next one Chikara!"

Everything he did elicited some kind of response from you and he wouldn't admit it, but it embarrassed the hell out of him, since the whole team would turn and look at him. Even Tsukishima would give him a shit-eating grin whenever you called out to him and told him to fix whatever he was doing wrong.

By the end of practice, he was worn out both from playing and from having to deal with comments about you from his teammates.

"Hey, Ennoshita-san, that's a pretty awesome girlfriend you got there!" Nishinoya stated and patted the back of his shoulder.

"Okay, okay, I get it. She likes to embarrass me in front of everyone. You don't need to rub it in..." Ennoshita grumbled as he picked up his bag and took a drink of water.

"What?! I'm not making fun of you! I'm being serious!" Nishinoya responded, looking clearly agitated.

"Yeah! I would be blessed to have someone as supportive as (l/n)-chan as a girlfriend!" Tanaka joined in.

Ennoshita frowned as he tried to change his perspective on the situation. Maybe he was being too sensitive. He really needed to lighten up and appreciate the fact that you were taking time out of your day to devote to coming to a practice that wasn't even yours just to cheer him on. Now that he thought about it, that was actually a very kind and thoughtful thing of you to do.

"Can't you see she's a keeper, Ennoshita-san?! She's amazing! Now go over there and show her how much you appreciate her before I do it myself!" Nishinoya goaded him and shoved him over where you were sitting at the other end of the gym.

You stood up and smiled upon seeing your boyfriend approaching you, but the last thing you expected him to do was wrap his arms around you and press a kiss against your lips.

"(F/n), I just wanted to say that I love you and I really appreciate you coming to my practices to support me. It means a lot," he told you truthfully, making your cheeks heat up intensely.

You were usually able to look into his dark brown eyes, but you found that you were so flustered by his sudden show of gratitude that you couldn't. Even though he hadn't done what he'd done to try to make you embarrassed in return, he did have to admit that it felt nice to watch you get flustered for once.

"I love you too, Chikara," you replied sheepishly, biting your lip as you smiled and ducked your head in an attempt to hide the goofy grin on your face.

Seeing you like this reminded him of the little reasons why he loved you, and he grabbed your hand, lacing his fingers in between yours as he led you outside and walked you home.
