I huffed softly as I ran to my new high school. I looked at my phone at the unfamiliar schedule. I gulped nervously and slapped my cheeks harshly, catching some student's attention.

"Okay! Let's do this!" I said as I walked into Shiratorizawa with a nervous smile. I changed my shoes quickly and looked at my phone. "So my first class is in-" I said to myself as I walked but bumped into an unknown chest.

I fell on my butt as I looked up. I was met with dark menacing eye orbs glaring at me downwards. I scrambled to my feet as I grabbed my phone and bowed really low.

"I'm sorry I'll watch where I'm going better!" I said hurriedly as I tried to walk past him but he got a grip on my wrist. I looked down nervously at the hand on me.

"Hey, hold up are you new here?" The male that I bumped to previously said to me with a smirk. I shyly nodded as he let go of my wrist and offered his hand out.

I showed him my schedule and he skimmed through it with a never leaving smile on his face. "Lucky you new kid! You're stuck with me until after lunch!" He said as he slung an arm around my shoulders as he began to show me a tour of the school.

I was glad he was there, if it weren't for him I would've been late to my classes and all.

"I'm so tired" I whined as I pulled on my bag as I walked next to tendo, the male with red eyes from before. "Don't worry (y/n)! We have lunch now so hold on to me so you won't get lost" he said as I nodded and held onto the corner of his suit.

We walked amongst big crowds and I grew in nervousness. The tall people around me made me want to cave in in fear.

Tendo pulled us against the crowds as we rushed over to an empty table. I sighed as I sat down and gripped my chest. "GEez, there's so many people here" I said as tendo laughed next to me.

"Yeah there is-! Oh! Here come my friends!" Tendo said as he pointed towards a group of men walking towards us.

I shyly cocked my head since they were all much taller than me and scarier. Tendo stood up to introduce me and I got up as well. "Hey guys! This is (y/n). He's new and all and (y/n) this is my friends!" He said vaguely.

"N-nice to meet you!" I said as I bowed with a blush. I heard tendo laugh as he pointed to a kid with black hair and bowl cut. "He's just like you goshiki!" He said and the boy looked offended but also proceeded to bow to me as well.

He introduced me to a big dude called ushijima, he's very quiet but he's not that bright either. He introduced me to goshiki, he's a goody two shoes. A whole bunch of others. I felt a little overwhelmed by meeting so many new people in a span of one day.

I sighed nervously until I felt him lean over and whisper something to my ear. "I'll add you to our group chat so you can get to know them instead of just their name" Tendō said as he slipped his phone out and I copied his action.

"Is that a cat charm on your phone?" Ōhira said as he motioned his hand over my phone charm. I blushed and nodded frantically. "Y-yeah! I collect them from this series" I said as he smiled and took out his phone as well showing a familiar charm.

"I do too (y/n). They're super cute to not get" he said and I smiled brightly. I showed my number to Tendō while I made conversation with Ōhira about the charms he has already collected.

"Are we going to get lunch or what?" Semi said as he pointed to the large clock indicating that we're wasting time. I nodded as I slipped off my bag and stood up to walk with them.

"What should I get?" I asked Tendō but shirabu came up behind me. "Don't get the egg salad. It tastes like garbage" he warned me and I nodded in understanding.

"Hmm...well I'm going to get lunch A with a chocolate shake" he said as he laid his fingers on his chin. I pursed my lips as I looked to the lunches they had. I went with lunch B and got some snacks for later.

I got my lunch and went over to the table and sat down. Some of them brought their own bentos from home. I looked over at their food and I got jealous of how good it looked and how it smelled.

"Wanna try some of my egg?" Goshiki said next to me. I flinched and turned to him. "Is-is it okay?" I asked lowering my head with a blush. He nodded as he moved his bento to me and I took some of his egg.

It tasted so good! I held my cheek with a big smile. "It's so good! Tell your mom her cooking is really great!" I gushed to him but he wasn't listening since he was stuttering random things I couldn't hear.

"Try some of mine" the big guy called ushijima said as he moved his bento in front of me since he's sitting there. He said it more like a command than an offer. I nodded as I took some as well and smiled brightly even more. "Wahh~! That's even better!" I told him. He nodded and pulled it back.

I turned to go and eat my food when I noticed Tendō not eating and staring at me with his smile. I blushed and turned to ask. "You okay? Is there something on my face?" I asked him as I threw my hands on my face.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Nothing~" he said as he began to eat and I didn't bother pushing it and went to eating.

I felt content by lunch and took out some chocolate snack I got. "You want some?" I asked Tendō who gradually took some with a big smile. "You know, chocolate is my favorite over any other candy" he said as he popped it in his mouth.

I sling my bag over my shoulder and looked over with a nod. "I'll keep that noted Tendō. Well i have to catch up to ushijima for my class. See you after school?" I asked him and he stood there shocked. His cheeks were dusted red but I didn't question it. He cleared his throat and nodded. I waved him off and ran to find ushijima, which was kind of easy.

"I didn't know you didn't like English? Why is that?" I asked ushijima as I packed my bag and closed it and swung it over myself.

"I don't like things that I don't understand" he simply said and I gulped at the intense stare he was giving me. "O-oh right" I said as I walked to leave class and tried to find semi for the other class which was math.

"He's over there. Hurry before the crowd gets bigger with taller people" ushijima said as he left with no other word. I sighed sadly at how my height is barely on the average line.

I ran over to semi with a soft smile. "Hey, how was your class before this?" I asked as we started to take the stairs until I bumped into someone hard on my shoulder.

"Be more carefu-oh! (Y/n)!" The man that bumped to me said. I looked up and met eyes with Tendō. I  smiled brightly as I softly punched his arm in revenge. "That hurt you dummy" I said as I rubbed my shoulder softly.

"Sorry I wasn't paying attention. Let's walk together to your class right semi semi~!" He singsonged which annoyed semi evidently. I nodded as we talked all the way to semi and I's class.

"see you in an hour okay?" I said as I smiled at Tendō. He got tense again and nodded and ran off without saying anything. I got confused and followed semi inside the classroom.

"Do you know what's wrong with Tendō?" I asked semi as I walked up to the teachers desk for the seating chart. "I have a hunch but I don't want to get involved" he simply said as he patted my back and went to go sit down.

"Welcome! Hello class this is (y/n)! Please take care of him" the teacher said as he introduced me and I politely bowed and went over to where the teacher made me go sit.

"Damn, my feet are so sore just by walking" I whined to semi who simply laughed at me. "Why are you laughing?" I pouted as we exited the classroom and headed down the stairs.

"We have volleyball practice today. Do you want to come and see?" He offered and I threw my hands up. "Yes! That'd be so awesome!" I excitedly said as he shook his head with a smile and motioned for me to follow him closely.

"Woah! It's so big!" I said as I looked all over the gym with a big smile. "Yeah it sure is. I'm going to go change you can sit on any bleachers" semi said and I nodded. I quickly ran over to the closest bleacher to the court and sat down.

I dropped my hands onto my knees with a big grin waiting for them to come out and start. I kept bouncing my leg by how excited I was getting.

They all finally came out changed in their jersey and started to put up the net and got the ball pits as well.

Tendō noticed me and walked over quickly. "Hey (y/n)! Didn't know you were going to be here~" he said as he sat down next to me, our knees touched slightly.

"Yeah! Semi said I should come so I did! What position do you play?" I asked him turning all my attention towards him.

"I'm the middle blocker and my guess block are somewhat always right!" He said confidently as he fumbled with his ear. I threw my hands up with joy.

"That's so cool! What's this guess block?" I asked him as I brought my hands back down with a questioning expression. Subaru came around and cleared his throat.

"It's where he guesses where he should block. He's scarily right most of the time. It's a dumb tactic but it works well" he said as he left to go and pick on goshiki for no reason.

I nodded as I turned to tendo and gushed all over loudly without myself knowing. "That's so cool tendo! You should go and practice so I can see you!" I said as I pushed him up to where his teammates are. He turned around and stared at me with a weird expression.

I tilted my head in confusion. "Hm? What's wrong?" I asked him. He took a step forward and leaned close. I leaned back and pressed my hands on his chest to keep our distance. I was going to ask him again but he brought his hand up and pulled something out of my hair.

"You had lint on your hair" he said with a soft smile as he laughed and left. I gripped my chest and shook my head. "What was that just now?" I said to myself as I cleared my head and looked over to the team start their practice.

I looked over and saw how they were playing a practice match just to let me see how they play and their positions. I was pretty stunned at how good ushijima was at spiking, and to add onto that being a lefty.

Goshiki was a great follow up as well. I looked over and saw that Tendō made eye contact with me and flashed me a smile as he jumped up without breaking eye contact and took down a spike from goshiki.

"Wahh!~ that was great Tendō!" I yelled as I stood up and cheered loudly. "Be quiet! We're still in practice!" Subaru said towards me and I shyly nodded and sat back down in embarrassment.

Tendō stood there with no expression until Ōhira patted his shoulder softly. "You okay there?" He asked and Tendō simply nodded but didn't take his eyes away from (y/n).

"Ushijima! I didn't know you were that good! What if I learn volleyball and be cool like you?" I jumped up and down beside him as the team walked together to the bus stop to go home.

Ushijima turned to me with his same expressionless face."But (y/n), you're already cool" he said and my face flushed at his words. "Ahh! R-really?" I said as I turned and the team nodded, even shirabu agreed.

"You're a good kid" Semi said as he patted my head gently and I blushed as I brought my hand up and brushed my hair back down.

Tendō didn't say anything as we went over and waited for our buses.

"Bye semi and bye goshiki!" I waved them off as they loaded their bus. "Bye (y/n)!" Goshiki said but more like a shout as he threw me a smile and rushed in.

I was taken back as semi said bye and the bus left quickly. I went back to talking with Ōhira until his bus came.

"Bye bye!~" I waved the remaining friends except for me and Tendō. I sighed as I sat back down next to him. "Man, my body is so tired from today. I didn't know I would make so many friends in just one day" I said to Tendō who smiled and nodded.

"I mean you are very likable" he said as he adjusted his bag. I blushed at his comment and turned to poke at his shoulder.

"Thanks for you know. Taking the time and effort to make me feel welcomed on my first day" I thanked him as I got up and bowed. He gasped and pulled at me arms. "(Y/n)! You didn't-t have to-" he said and I nodded and sat back down.

Our bus came and we quickly loaded up wanting to quickly go home. We sat next to each other and my head suddenly felt heavy. I placed my hands on my face to keep it up from limping.

"You can lay against me, (y/n). I'll make room" he said as he smiled at me. My heart fluttered suddenly and I shut my eyes closed and tried to place my head on his high shoulder. He laughed lowly as he moved around and placed his head on top of mine.

I couldn't stop my beating heart for some reason. I tried my best to keep my eyes shut but I couldn't when I was this close to Tendō.

"Well, this is my stop coming up. Again, thank you for today and all I really owe you" I said as I thanked him again with my sincerity. He chuckled and shook his head.

"It's okay (y/n)~ but could I ask you for a small favor~?" He asked and I instantly nodded my head. "Yeah sure!" I said moving my feet towards his direction.

"Can...you give me your hand?" He asked with a serious look. I gulped nervously and drew my hand out to him. He softly took it, his hand being much bigger than mine. He chuckled as he rubbed my hand with his thumb.

"For a guy, you have really soft and delicate hands" he said as he moved my hand around and intertwined our lanky fingers. I blushed furiously and looked up at him.

"W-well I'm sorry! At least m-mine aren't rough...and stuff!" I tried to counterattack his comment but it was no budge cause he laughed even more and tightened his grip on my hand.

My blush wouldn't go down at all no matter how long we kept our hands together. My stop came and Tendō let go of my hand with a big smile. "You're free to go~ see you tomorrow (y/n)~!" He said as I nodded and stood and walked over to the exit of the bus.

I turned one last time and bowed slightly but not too noticeable. I mouthed a quick thank you and left the bus.

I walked calmly towards my house until I remembered what happened a few minutes ago on the bus. "Wahh~!! What did that mean?" I blushed even more madly as I slapped my cheeks to calm down.

Tendō was on the bus still and he laid his head back as he shut his eyes with a big wide smile. "Oh man (y/n)~ you're making me feel this type of way~" he said to himself as he covered his face with his hands to cover his big smile.
