"Everyone huddle up!" Coach ukai shouted as I was about to set a ball for hinata. Hinata fell on the floor and rubbed his bottom. I laughed but then quickly went over to my teammates.

"As you may know, we'll be in the training camp with the other high end high school volleyball teams again. I need you guys to be here tomorrow early so we can hurry and train as much as possible" coach said and we all yelled, "yes sir!".

I got up and started to pack my bag to go home. "(Y/n)!" Someone yelled my name as I was leaving the school gates. It was daichi, my stomach suddenly felt like it had some sort of animals inside.

"H-hey what's up?" I asked as I waved to him. He ran up to me and held out his hand. "You left your knee pads in the locker room". He said as I saw my knee pads in his hands. "Oh! I must've forgotten them". I nervously laughed as I got them and placed them in my bag.

We started to walk home together since he had the same route as me. "It's not like you to forget your pads yknow. Is something up?" Daichi asked as he went close to my face. I felt my cheeks heat up as I clenched onto my strap as I looked away. "J-just nervous for tomorrow!" I told him as I looked to my feet.

"Don't worry too much (y/n) you're one of our best blockers! Well this is my stop, sleep well and eat well" daichi said as he patted me in the back and headed down the street towards his house. I looked back up at his back as he walked away and smile softly to myself.

I headed home and started to do some homework before I went to go shower. I didn't do much of it but I stopped midway and headed to shower. I quickly hopped off and continued where I stopped. "I need to hurry and pack my bags!" I said as I suddenly forgot we had to wake up early for tomorrow.

I threw some random clothes and my uniform and knee pads and closed my bag. I sighed at how fast I packed and then noticed the time. It was really late in the morning already. But before I went to sleep, I turned on my night light since I can't sleep without it and headed to bed.

My alarm clock suddenly went off and I turned it off. My eyes felt so heavy it felt like I didn't even sleep. I got up and got dressed but struggled since my eyes were still shut closed. "(Y/n)! Better hurry up before your friends leave without you!" I heard my dad yell in the kitchen.

"Fuck I had to be early!" I yelled as I quickly brushed my teeth and grabbed my bag as I headed out without eating. I quickly ran to karasuno and headed towards the back where the mini bus was.

"(Y/n)!? What took so long?" Hinata asked me right as I walked up to them. I was panting loudly since I'm not used to running so much. "Lost..track of time..sorry" I apologized for holding them up as I bowed. "Hey it's okay no need to bow!" Sugawara said as he pulled me back up.

"Oh you're finally here. Then let's get in and get on the road!" Coach ukai said as he went in and started the bus. I was last to go in and I rubbed my eyes as I went straight to the back but a hand stopped me. I looked down and it was daichi. He patted the seat next to him with a smile and I didn't think twice and the moment and sat down.

"You should take a nap since it'll be a long ride" he said and I couldn't even talk and just nodded my head. A few minutes passed and almost everyone was already asleep. I was fighting the urge to fall asleep. I slapped my cheeks in order to keep myself up.

Daichi chuckled beside me and I quickly turned. "Huh what happened?" I asked as I looked around him. I felt his hand push my head onto his shoulder. "Go to sleep (y/n). I'll wake you up when we arrive". I looked up and saw his infamous big smile towards me. I closed my eyes to attempt to cover my blush and went to sleep. I fell asleep with the smell of daichi in my nose.

-time skip-

We were walking towards the gym in order to practice and the unfamiliar faces was different to me. I recognized some since hinata would show me sometimes. But overall, I wasn't good with talking to new people even though we have been to a training camp before.

"(Y/n), I wanna show you some people!" Hinata shouted as he singled me to come over. My nerves were starting to hit as I slowly made my way towards him. "This is kenma! You forgot to meet him last time remember?" Hinata said as he pointed to a smaller male who was looking towards his feet. "H-hello my name is (y/n)" I nervously said as I bowed. He did the same and gave me a small wave.

"He plays our middle blocker and he's super cool! Like he's smarter than tsukishima!" Hinata began to rant to kenma about how awesome I was, I wasn't flattered I was embarrassed since I didn't know how to react to being complimented. "That's e-enough Hinata" I said as I shushed him down.

"Alright practice match with karasuno and nekoma will begin in one minute!" I heard one of the men in the scoreboards yell. "Nice meeting y-you!" I bowed again towards kenma as I rushed my way back with hinata towards our team.

"Let's do our best out there!" Daichi said as we put our hands in and screamed out. I went into my position. Kenma didn't notice me last time we had a match since I didn't do anything to stand out but since I got better now I have a chance to.

A serve was being served and as it was about to be out, daichi caught it. "Chance ball!" He yelled as I got ready to spot the spikers. It was rare to see if their spiker with black hair was going to spike first but I kept my close eye. "It's coming from the left" I heard tsukishima whisper lowly towards me but I knew he was wrong. It was definitely coming from the right.

I glanced at him and tilted my head and jumped up without even knowing if the play was even in my side. "Sorry!" I yelled excitedly as I felt the ball slap against my hands and towards the floor on the opposite side. It fell to fast to even let the other team have a reaction.

"Nice kill!" I heard yamaguchi yell at me as I gave him a thumbs up. I heard a scowl on the other side of the net as their spiker glared at me. I smiled and bowed.

We continued the game until the score was even. It was one to one. It was yamaguchis turn to serve one of his serves he's been practicing for a long time. I went in guard and he served it. I saw the ball go directly towards the outside spiker as he yelled, "chance ball!". I heard yamaguchis disappointed sigh but I wasn't going to allow his spike go to waste.

I saw kenma ready to set and I knew he was going to let a dump and I quickly let my arm drop. As I dropped it he quickly set the ball to the other spiker. I  shot my eyes to my right and as I saw the ball move in slow mo almost ready to hit the floor, I threw myself up with my chest in order to block it.

I quickly fell down to the floor by the impact but we got a chance ball. "Chance ball!!" I yelled with all my might and I saw the shocked faces of my team. Kageyama quickly set towards hinata and we win a game by a quick one.

We won our first match and didn't have to do dives. "That was so cool!" Nishinoya complimented me and then it started. I nervously looked down as I felt a strong hand on my back. I looked up and saw coach. "You're getting stronger by the second huh!" He said and I blushed and bowed towards him.

I helped put the equipment back since I felt good by our win. "(Y/n) right?" I heard and unfamiliar face say my name. "Oh! u-uh yes!" I said as I paused moping the floor. "Great block out there. We might have a challenger coming up huh" the male said as he left me confused. I shrugged and finished the things I had to do and headed to our room we had to stay.

I noticed everyone was asleep and I went to pick up my pillow and blanket but it was so dark. I shuffled around trying to avoid hitting someone's hands.

I went towards the window in order to get some light since the dark was really scary to me. I went to lay down and sleep but I began to sweat a lot. "Oh fuck" I whined as I couldn't get comfortable at all.

"Pss!" I heard someone whisper towards me. I sat up and saw daichi signaling me to come over. I crawled over to him and sat down in front of him. "Yeah what's up?" I whispered to him. He pulled his blanket upward, enough room for me to get inside.

"I know you're having a hard time sleeping so why not come over here?" He asked innocently. My heart began to beat even faster at how carefree he was being. "I-i dont uH-" I stuttered as I looked anywhere to avoid blushing even more than I already was.

"My offer still stands" he said smirking towards me. I huffed as I climbed in with him. My heart wouldn't slow down for a second as his scent quickly shot through my nose. He smelt so good. He wrapped the blanket over us and pulled me against him. "Goodnight (y/n). Good job today" he said as he kissed my head and drifted to sleep. My head was spinning with many thoughts and my face wouldn't stop feeling hot.

I fell asleep in his arms even though I was afraid of the dark.
