Kuroo invited a lot of people to his birthday party bash and for once I was really excited to go. Not because of the beer and drugs, of course not.

I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair once again seeing if my outfit was okay. I had my combat boots with tight ripped jeans and an oversized hoodie.

I looked towards the time and hurriedly stopped thinking and headed down to his house. His house was just a ten minute walk from mine so it was okay to walk.

I admired the dark violet sky as small stars were visible due to the polluted air. I sighed as I felt in peace until I heard loud music from, no other than kuroos house. I sighed as I pinched myself from letting my nerves get the best of me.

"Oh hey (y/n)! Want some?" A dude I never have seen before said as I approached the house. There were a bunch of stoners just sitting by the stairs and around the front yard. "Nah later though" was all I said as I pushed against them and entered the house.

I was hit with loud music. I thought I would be hearing some intense music but instead I heard music from the 2000's. I softly smiled as I was hit with the nostalgia.

I went through the tight crowds and went into the kitchen. I saw Kuroo talking with bokuto while Kenma sat on his lap while playing on his phone. "Hey you made it!" Bokuto exclaimed as he went over and gave me a side hug.

"Wouldn't miss this idiots birthday" I said as I softly walked over and ruffled his spiky dark hair. "(Y/n)! You messed it up" he said fake annoyed as he tried to fix it.

I went over and got a can of beer from his fridge and opened it in one snap and took big sips. "Woah didn't know you drank?" Bokuto said as he looked at me confusingly. I laughed at the thought and shook my head. "Only when stuff gets hectic" I said as I took another sip and looked around.

Kuroo was going to question what I said  but I was caught off guard by someone shoving my shoulder hard. Thankfully I held onto my beer and I glared around. "Watch it dumbass!-" I yelled at the figure but quickly stood shocked.

It was my toxic of an ex, oikawa (don't take it personal >_<) and he had a nice lady gripping his arm. "Oh sorry didn't know I bumped into trash" he shot an insult as he made his way to the back door of the kitchen onto the back yard.

I gripped my can ready to start a fight but Kenma cleared his throat. "Don't (y/n)" he said as he didn't even look up from his phone. I sighed angrily as I tried to find the one person that always brought a smile towards me.

"Kageyama is downstairs in the basement playing games or something" Bokuto said as he noticed how I was looking through the crowds. I shot him a smile and patted his shoulder. I made my way downstairs and he was right. Kageyama, Hinata, yamaguchi and tsukishima were down here.

"Hey y'all!" I yelled excitedly as I went to go sit next to kageyama. "Oh (y/n)! Glad you're here. We need someone to beat tsukishima!" Hinata yelled as he aimed the attention to tsukishimas scoreboard.

"Hey how are you?" Kageyama said as he stiffly leaned over trying to give me affection. I smiled as I set down my beer and gave him a soft kiss on his forehead. "Kinda ass but I'll tell you later. Now Hinata! Hand me the controller I'm gonna destroy this giants ass!" I yelled as I got tossed the controller and scooted closer to the TV screen. "Pfft I'll like to see you try" tsukishima said as he pushed up his glasses.

"How?!" I yelled angrily as I sat down the controller and crossed my arms. We played multiple games and the score was 12-23. "Told you" was all he said as kageyama and yamaguchi bursted out laughing.

"(Y/n)! You were our last hope" Hinata yelled as he whined loudly in defeat. I laid down on the floor in defeat and looked over kageyama. He was laughing which was rare for him to. I saw the pure kageyama and it made my heart beat faster.

"Tsuki can we watch a movie now?" Yamaguchi asked as he yawned. Tsukishima sighed and nodded as he turned on Netflix to find a movie to watch. The party was still going since I could still hear the occasional footsteps above us.

We all cuddled up against the bean bag chairs we were leaning against as the movie started. Hinata found random blankets in one of kuroos closet and we used them just for temporary use.

It was halfway of the movie until I felt kageyama placed his head on my shoulder. He didn't drop his head it was as if he was hesitating to see if it was okay for him to. I smiled at how considerate he is and brought my hand and let his head drop into my shoulder.

I slipped my hand back down and intertwined his with mine. I can feel the warmth of his cheeks hit my face. We sat there for a few minutes until the lights in the basement flicked off. But then flicked back on. Before Hinata or kageyama could yell out of fear a voice was heard along with a female laugh.

"Don't worry no ones down here~-" I heard the familiar voice say until they were down the stairs and our eyes met in the dark. "Oh it's just this dumbass and his stupid friends" oikawa said as he sighed disappointedly.

"watch your mouth" I heard tsukishima say as he paused the movie and adjusted his glasses. I grew in anger as I heard him laugh and point towards me and kageyama. Kageyama slowly moved away from me in fear.

"Wow did the stupid (y/n) finally get a girlfriend? Oh wait no a boyfriend because no girl will go out with him!" He insulted me as he started to laugh hysterically at me and the lady next to him was holding in her laugh.

"Can you leave us alone!" Hinata yelled up as he got out of the blanket in anger. I got up in my feet as well until I felt kageyama held onto my hand with a plead. "Don't please" he begged me to go back to sit down.

"Don't worry idiot he's not gonna do anything. He doesn't do anything to stand up for himself. Just like when we were dati-" oikawa started staring deeply towards me until I pulled from kageyama and stood in front of him with fury.

"I dare you to speak" I said as I stood in front of him like a tower. He smiled as he began to shove me back. "You won't do shit" he said as he shoved me again. "H-hey didn't you hear me?!" Hinata said as he began to worry. Even tsukishima stared so inventively to see if a fight was going to break out.

"You're a lowlife" he said as he shoved me again. I clenched my fists but stayed out since he wasn't laying a hand on anyone but me. He was going to insult me again until kageyama ran up to me to stand and defend me but oikawa knew what he was up to and raised his arm.

There was utter silence. The only sound was the echo of the intense slap and the sound of kageyama falling to the floor by the power.

"(Y/n) don't do it!" Tsukishima yelled uncharacteristically as him and yamaguchi got up to help kageyama but I wasn't hearing at all. I didn't let another second pass until I dropped down low and threw my hands around oikawa and threw him hard onto the floor.

"Let go you fucker!" Oikawa yelled as he punched my back aggressively. "Miss can you please get Kuroo?!" Hinata yelled at the lady and she didn't spear another look as she dashed up the stairs.

I sat on top of oikawa as I threw hard punches towards his face and his arms that were trying to defend it. I didn't spit no insult towards him since I was so full of rage I didn't get time think.

He finally got his strength back and threw me over down and he got on top of me. "In the end of the day, I'm the bigger one! You worthless fuck!" He yelled as he punched my stomach. I groaned in pain until I managed to pull up my leg and kicked him off. "(Y/n) that's enough!" Yamaguchi pleases as he was still holding onto kageyama.

I couldn't hear him as I walked over to the groaning oikawa. I sat hardly on his stomach and used my knees to pin his arms down. I harshly grabbed his face and pushed it down even though he began to bite my hand in retort.

"I hope you rot in hell you son of a bitch" I angrily spat as I got up, stepped on his stomach with my heel and spat on him until I hurriedly walked over kageyama.

"Hey hey are you okay?" I asked as yamaguchi let go of him and he threw himself towards my arms. I clung on to him as I whispered soft things to his ear. I rubbed his hair until I heard oikawa groan in pain. I angrily turned as I got ready again to beat his ass up but it was a different scene.

"I got him until Kuroo comes!" Hinata said as he sat on oikawa and occasionally punched him when he tried to get up. I sighed happily as I continued to run my hand through kageyamas hair. "Wow (y/n) didn't know you could fight" tsukishima said with amusement in his voice.

I laughed but then groaned in pain. I felt liquid run down my nose and I wiped it with sleeve. "You're bleeding?!" Yamaguchi yelled as he got up upset.

"What happened?! (Y/n) are you okay?!" Kuroo yelled as multiple people came running down the stairs. I sighed as I pulled away from kageyama and he looked up at me confused. "I have to talk to them about what happened" I said and he nodded. "Can you get me a beer?" I asked Bokuto and he didn't question it and ran for one.

He came back and handed it to me. I thanked him then handed it to kageyama. "Leave it there okay? I'll be back" I said as I kissed his head and left to go talk to Kuroo and the took oikawa with two men holding him securely.

"Damn (y/n) I'm so sorry. I didn't know oikawa could land his hands on someone" Bokuto said in disbelief that we even had a physical fight. I laughed as my nose stung but wasn't broken. I had some bruises forming on my stomach but oikawa was hurt even more.

We were outside in the front lawn as the party stoners were interested in our fight story. "Fuck man, I feel so bad" Kuroo said as he sighed. I didn't say anything. I was smiling at how much damage I did towards oikawa. He had bruises in his cheeks and his eye was starting to swell. They took him home after I explained to them what happened.

"I mean he did lay hands on me while we were-" I began but cut myself off. "Forget what I said" I said as I got up slowly and cleared my throat. "I'm going to go check on my baby-kageyama" I said as I accidentally slipped the nickname for kageyama.

"And I'm sorry for ruining your birthday" I said as I bowed apologetically. "(Y/n) stop it! It was oikawa who initiated the fight. You did the right thing on defending yourself and kageyama" Kuroo said assuringly. I tried my best not to break down so I turned to him slowly and hugged him. Then slowly Bokuto, Kenma and the random stoners walked over and hugged me.

"Let's continue the movie!" Hinata yelled excitedly as he saw me go down the stairs slowly. "It's barely 12 so fuck yeah" I said but then looked at how silent kageyama was being. "Hey kags can you come with me?" I asked and he instantly got up without saying a word.

I took him to the back yard and thankfully no one was there. I closed the door and instantly engulfed him in my arms. I was breathing heavily as I held on to him tightly. "I'm so sorry baby that you got hurt" I apologized as I kissed his hair. "(Y/n) you were standing up for yourself and I just got in the way" he said with sadness in his voice.

I pulled him away and held on to his face. "No! You were going to protect me but I was too slo-" I began until I heard him laugh. "You're telling me, that you were too slow? Oikawa left barely being able to stand" he said with a soft smile.

I stared at him in awe as I ran my thumb against his pink cheek. "Does it hurt?" I asked lowly as I leaned closer to him. His cheeks were tainted red now as he held on to my hands in his cheeks.

"Kiss me" he said sternly and pulled us together in a sweet kiss. I put so much passion to the kiss as I held him scared that he might vanish.

We pulled away and blushed as we looked away. I fixed my hair and cleared my throat as kageyama fixed his collar. "Let's go watch that movie yeah?" I said as I locked our fingers and went back in.

"Huh?! Fuck you guys!" I yelled as I pulled kageyama with me as we went closer towards them. They were watching the movie without us. "Sorry you guys took so long!" Hinata apologized but didn't even look away from the TV.
