Your in your 3rd year of Nekoma High. Since the first day you are in the same class as Kuroo.

You went to the chemistry room and sat on a seat when you saw a bag on the seat next to you.

A black haired boy entered the room. His hair was styled up and his grey eyes were eyeing you.

He took the bag from the seat next to you and was taking the place.

"Hey my name is Tetsuro Kuroo, nice to meet you. I hope we get a long as partners.", He said with a smile on his face.

"Hey my name is (l/n) (y/n) but you can call me (y/n)", you said and you were giving him a smile back.

The semester continue and you two got close. You were seeing every volleyball match your school team was doing to see him.

Your sister was in another class and was wondering why you would watch these matches.

You always thought volleyball was boring and didn't wanted to go to the matches from your brother.

But now your going on your own.

Your sister is sitting next to you now and was asking you who the cute black hair guy was who's hair were styles up.

"His name is Kuroo, Tetsuro Kuroo.", You said and had a bad feeling.

"Isn't it the chemistry guy who is always by your side?", She laughed and you nod.

"Who thought a damn nerd could be so hot.", She said.

Your sister was always an extrovert and you were hiding in her shadow.

You sigh and watched the game.

Nekoma won and the team was full of joy.

She compliments him and the two of them were in a deep conversation.

The two of them totally forgot you and Yaku approach you "Hey (y/n) do you wanna join me to the vending machine?"

"Sure" was the only word you said before you went with him to the machine.

Yaku was giving you your favorite drink and was taking his own from the machine.

"Hey (y/n) do you like Kuroo-Kun?", Yaku asked while looking at his can.

"I think so...", You said and looked at him.

"Oh... Ok...", He said and was trying to put on a smile.

"I think I should go home. Thank you for the drink.", You said before you run away from him.

A week went on and Kuroo was slowly drifting away from you and was spending his breaks with your sister.

One time you saw from the window how they would eat lunch at the bench outside.

He was still talking to you in class but mostly was asking you about your sister and every conversation with her was about him.

You got kinda annoyed but it was better than getting ignored from him.

You and your sister were twins and you were a few minutes older than her.

She was always a little bit weaker than you and after birth she was in an incubator.

In your childhood your sister was sometimes in the hospital and people would always ask about her.

Nobody cared about you and the moment you thought you found someone who was closer to you, your sister was again the one people would choose.

Years went by and your family was also close to Kuroo, Kuroo knew about the weak condition about your sister.

Kuroo tried to tie you to Yaku but almost the whole school knew that your eyes were only on him.

Yaku tried to deny his feelings infront of all people because it was hurting him too that you don't have the same feelings as him.

One day your mom stormed into your room her tears were storming and she was breaking down.

"Mom what's happening what's going on?", You asked her and was running from your desk to her.

"Your sister... Your sister fainted. Your father is taking her to the hospital.", She said under sobbing.

You took your mum into a hug and said "mom please calm down everything will be alright."

After your mum kinda calmed down she took the keys to the other car and was driving with you to the hospital.

You tried to reach Kuroo but you know he has volleyball practice right now.

You saw a sweat drenched Kuroo infront of you.

"How is her condition?", He asked while catching his breath.

"I don't know the the exact diagnosis but she needs a new heart.", You said while looking down.

You couldn't watch him in the eyes.

"Who's the doctor?", He said.

"(Y/n) who's the doctor!", He said again while shaking your shoulder.

"He's inside her room he should come out soon."

He waited until the doctor came out.

"Doctor doctor I want to donate my heart for her.", He almost screamed at him.

"Please. Please calm down. Donating a heart isn't that easy. It's better for a family member to donate a heart and we need to make a test if your blood and all is compatible with the patient.", He tried to explain it to Kuroo.

"A nurse will come to make some test if you are capable for it.", The doctor said before he goes to his next patient.

He sat down next to you and was breaking into tears.

It hurts so much how sad he was.

How much it was hurting him.

A nurse approached you two and took him with her.

Your mother went inside her room with your dad while you waited outside for Kuroo.

A few days later Kuroo was crying again in your arms.

He can't donate his heart for her and she was really low on the transplanting list.

A week after this your parents and Kuroo was full of joy.

Someone wanted to donate her heart for your sister.

The operation is set for the next day.

You went to Kuroo's home. It was late at night and he was in his casual clothes and ready to sleep.

"Kuroo I need to tell you something.", You said and looked into his beautiful grey eyes.

He nod and was kinda confused what should be so important that you would go to his house in the night.

"Kuroo I love you. I love you since the first day I met you in the chemistry room. I loved how I could make jokes with someone who understands the jokes I make because he's smart as I am. I really thought that someone would look at me...", You said and tears were slowly coming into your eyes.

He felt really uncomfortable. He was the boyfriend of your sister for almost 2 and a half year and you knew that.

"(Y/n) you know I like her...", He was looking down not able to look into your eyes.

You touched his hair and slid to his face.

"I know please don't break her heart okay.", You said smiling.

You turned your back to him and start running back to your home.

The next day when the surgery was supposed to be over Kuroo saw your parents infront of Usagi's room.

They both started crying and he asked "what's going on did the surgery failed?"

Your mother shook her head. "No Usagi is recovering from the surgery but... But... We didn't knew who was donating the heart for her till now.", She said crying.

Kuroo got a flashback from the words from yesterday.

"I know please don't break her heart, okay."

His tears was storming up and he asked "how could this happen how could you not know."

"(Y/n) is 18 year old she don't need us anymore to do this.", Your dad said.

Your sister recovered fast and a few days before your funeral she woke up.

Kuroo was in her room and saw her waking up "Doctor Doctor! She's awake! She's awake!"

"Kuroo what happened?"

Kuroo said everything to her what happened and when the moment can that he told her that you donated your heart to her she was crying.

"I always knew that she liked you. But I liked you too and I don't know if I could have do the same if she was the one who would be in this bed."

He tried to comfort her and you knew he will be happy forever with her.
