The Last of the Paintball Trilogy.

--

"And why, again, are we having another match so soon?" (f/n) questioned, taking a look at the advisor.

"Ah, we've been contacted by a few other schools, and we're going to have a team capture the flag paintball match, so instead of capturing just one flag, the winning team must capture two. We'll be working with Aoba Johsai's paintball team, I think, for the match," Takeda-sensei explained.

"That's insane. We'll be so many," Yamaguchi noted.

"That's right. Apparently, the area is a former army base, including a small forest surrounding it, so... we'll really have to be a lot," the teacher nodded, "we're up against two other teams. One is the Tokyo team, which composes of a powerhouse paintball team called Fukurodani, and obviously, our last opponents, Nekoma. The other team will be a mix of Jozenji's paintball team, as well as Dateko's paintball team. We'll have to watch out for the latter, for I've heard that Jozenji is a wild team, and Dateko is extremely notable for its defense,"

"Uwoh!! Does that mean we'll be able to play with The Grand King?!" Hinata asked excitedly.

"Oikawa-san is great at sniping. He's on the offense more than the defense, and he's really good at aiming," Kageyama told him, making the ball of sunshine even more excited.

"And we'll be on his team! That's great!" Nishinoya cheered.

"We'll be against those city boys, eh? Tanaka sneered, making a face.

"Tanaka, please stop making such strange faces," Sugawara scolded.

Tsukishima snickered, gaining a laugh from Yamaguchi as well. "City boys..."

"Anyways, this match won't be simple. Fukurodani has the one of the Top 5 heavy shooters in the whole of Japan. They won't be easy to defeat, considering we had lost to them last time," Takeda-sensei pointed out, Coach Ukai nodding.

"Our best chance is if we get them to go head on with the Jozenji-Dateko team,"  Coach Ukai acknowledged, "then, we can jump in and take out players from there,"

"Unlike the Johzenji-Dateko team, which one team covers offense and another covers defense, our team and the Nekoma-Fukurodani team will have mixed on the offense and defense," Takeda-sensei added.

"So, shall we discuss positions?" Daichi suggested, earning a nod from the coach and the advisor.

"I think it would be best if the following players were on defense: Nishinoya, Daichi, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi. Snipers will be (f/n), Sugawara, and Kageyama. Our heavy shooters will be Tanaka and Asahi, while our agile shooter will be Hinata. Since we're not sure of Seijou's formation and positions, it would be best if we discussed it further with the others," Coach Ukai explained, demonstrating on the whiteboard.

"GWAH! What's an agile shooter?" Hinata asked, curious.

"An agile shooter is a person who shoots real quick, stupid," Kageyama rolled his eyes.

"I'm not stupid!" Hinata insisted.

"Anyway, we're having a meeting with Seijou tomorrow, so please come early so we may all arrive there on time. That's it for today," Takeda-sensei announced.

"Do your best," Coach Ukai said, raising a fist in the air. "You may be dismissed,"

--

"Tobio-chan~ it's been a while since we've played together on a team~" the brunette smiled cheekily, earning a punch from his friend, who seemed pissed.

"It's nice to play with you again, Oikawa-senpai. Thank you for this opportunity. Now please excuse me, I need to ready my gear," the raven-haired sniper had bowed, then heading off.

"E-Eh?" Oikawa stammered, "did... my precious kouhai just... tHANK ME?! reSPECT ME?! iWA-cHAN I SEE A LIGHT..."

"Shut up, you noisy idiot. We're starting soon," Iwaizumi snapped, hitting the brunette on the head.

"You ruined my moment, Iwa-chan! How rude!" Oikawa cried.

"Good," he answered, then walking away.

"(f/n)-chaaaan!" Oikawa, running over to the said female, who was tightening her gloves.

"Yes, Oikawa-san?"

"Will we be partners for today~?"

"Nope, she's mine," Sugawara interrupted, quickly blushing at what he just said, "my, uh, partner?? I mean, um... other half of a pair! That's it!"

"Sorry, Oikawa, there's always next time!" she winked, sticking out her tongue.

"So who'll be my partner then? Is the other pretty female here today?"

"You mean Shimizu-san? She couldn't make it. I think Kageyama and you will be the other sniper double," Sugawara told him, "so better kill as much as you can, alright?"

"Of course. I'm going to exterminate the others today," Oikawa beamed, piercing through the gaze of the silver-haired sniper, who's glare wasn't shaken either.

Sugawara responded with a smirk. "Great."

"G-Great? What's so great about having two terrifying snipers who look like they can seriously kill you?" Asahi shook in fear, looking at the two.

"Because snipers are generally terrifying. They're always watching you, preying on you. Snipers are the sly predators of the food chain," (f/n) joined in, folding her arms.

"Snipers are the control tower of the team," Kageyama added, walking in from nowhere, trying to smile, but ended up curving his lips scarily.

Everyone else then flinched in horror, (except Iwaizumi and Tsukishima, obviously) skeptical of the four intimidating players.

"Good, good. We have players who'll scare the crap out of the other teams, perfect," Iwaizumi laughed heartily, slapping Oikawa on the back.

"Ittai!" Oikawa whined, rubbing his back.

"Kageyama! Don't scare your teammates- gah!" Hinata yelled, only to be cut off by the sniper himself.

"Hmm? What was that, boke?" Kageyama hissed, gripping the sides of Hinata's head, squeezing it.

"Nandemonai! Now let me go, Kageyama, it hurts!"

Letting out a cough, Daichi pointed out, "Guys, it's time in a minute. Let's get ready. Ganbaremasu!

"Let's all do a good job and shoot the heck out of the others!" Oikawa cheered.

"Osu!"

--

"Tobio-chan! Do you see them?" Oikawa whispered, following his kouhai.

"Not yet, Oikawa-san. I will be sure to notify you," Kageyama answered, crouching down. "Is this a good place to hide for a while?"

Not wanting to admit that that his underclassman had chosen a very good spot, he shook his head. "Not yet! I told you, I'll be the one to lead you!"

"Gomenasai. I will try harder next time!" Kageyama told his senpai.

"Y-Yeah Tobio-chan! Try harder next time!" Oikawa faltered, facing front.

"Please take the lead, then."

Beaming with pride, the brunette marched forth until he had found a good hiding spot himself, lying on the floor, Kageyama lying next to him on the grass.

Both took watch for foes silently, waiting.

The tension was high in the air, as an opponent was yet to appear, the excitement of being on the playing field present in the area.

--

"Hey, Captain Crow, when'dya reckon actual people'll start appearing to capture our flag?" Hanamaki questioned, earning a nod from the rest of the defense players.

"Any moment now," Daichi shrugged.

"Your two other teammates, Tsu... Tsubashima and Yamasucci?" Matsukawa started, making Daichi sigh.

"It's Tsukishima and Yamaguchi,"

"They're on guard on the other side, right?" Matsukawa continued, "With Watari and Nishinoya,

Daichi nodded.

"Hey, I heard a few girls in your school played paintball too, huh?" Hanamaki asked, boredly watching the area.

"U-Uh, I guess so?" Daichi blushed at the thought.

"Didn't you used to have another girl player? Michimiya. Yeah. She was a toughie, that one," Hanamaki pressed on, making the captain flinch.

"U-Uhuh. S-She also couldn't make it. Most of our female players are absent,"

"Is that so?" Matsukawa smirked, "they were pretty great, y'know... last time we played with them,"

"T-They were,"

"You two were partners right? For that round,"

Nodding with a hint of red on his cheeks, Daichi responded, "I think s-so?"

"Aw, captain. You're embarrassed?"

"W-Why don't we actually try focusing on the actual game, rather than other things?"

Glancing at each other, the two friends nodded, flashing two quick grins.

"Hai, hai, captain,"

--

"We're going all out! Yosh!" Terushima cheered, as the rest of his squad jumped around in excitement.

"Wild!" the team chorused, dashing around the area.

"Incoming, incoming!"

"We're being shot at!"

"From where, exactly?"

"Over there!"

"Can't see!"

"Whoop, can't touch me!"

"Ack I was shot!"

"Guys, guys! A comrade has fallen!"

"Eh?! Hontou?"

"I think I shot someone!"

"yOSHHHAAAAA!"

--

"Bokuto, d'ya see anyone?"

"Not yet,"

"Let's move forward,"

Walking quicker, the two friends continued on their way before hearing a loud yell somewhere amongst the trees.

"Kuroo, look, it's that Johzenji team," Bokuto whisper-shouted, pointing at the said team.

"Eh? No way, how stupid can they get, shouting so loud?" Kuroo snickered, "should we shoot them?"

"It's almost pitying,"

"True,"

"But," Bokuto grinned, readying his aim, "in paintball, it's shoot or be shot,"

"You never fail to be right, bro."

Smiling evilly, both captains decided to fire away, running as they did so, while yelling "oHOHOOHOHOHOOHOHOHOHOHO!!1!!1" endlessly.

Enjoying the entertainment coming from the other players running around like headless chickens, they both stopped and ducked, a paintball coming their way.

"Nice," they chorused, high-fiving one another.

"You got a good shot,"

"Yeah, you too!"

"Bro,"

"Bro!"

Giving each other a quick bro hug, they quickly then set off to find new prey, adrenaline rushing through both their veins.

--

Silent, Kenma and Akaashi sighed at the sound of their two teammates being quite loud during the match, watching them from a good sniping spot from above.

"How exactly do you live with this?" Kenma asked, mentally facepalming.

"How exactly do you live with this?" Akaashi answered, so emotionally done with the stupidity of his teammates.

"I don't know," the pudding-head replied, aiming and taking fire from their position.

Doing the same, Akaashi too replied with a "Me neither,"

Both sighing as their other teammates finished the job for them, they looked at one another.

"So, do you think we'll have to do much else soon?" Kenma mumbled.

"Don't think so. With those two running around like that, all we need to do his have their backs,"

"Oh,"

Nodding at the same time, both pulled out an item from their pockets.

Taking a bite from his onigiri, Akaashi watched as Kenma decided to continue playing his game on his POP on silent.

"Nice, is that Volleyball Quest?"

"...Yeah,"

"What level are you at?"

"Stage 78,"

"I'm on Stage 76,"

"I found it hard to defeat that green-haired boss monster," Kenma admitted, not bothering to look elsewhere besides the screen.

"Really? I thought that monster guy, the one with red eyes and brown hair, the one wearing black, was quite challenging,"

"You must be talking about the Alien King, right?"

"And you must be talking about the Monster Cow from Cow Island,"

"Come to think of it, doesn't the Alien King kinda look like one of our opponents?"

"Now that you mention it, yeah," Akaashi agreed, "here, want some?"

"Yeah, sure,"

--

"Why did we have to have idiots as teammates?" Futakuchi hissed, watching as about three of their players headed back to the base.

Aone shrugged, not saying a word.

"Idiots?" Koganegawa asked, tilting his head to the side, "who? Johzenji?"

Letting out a groan, Futakuchi calmly shot a few approaching players, sighing deeply.

"We're known for our defense, but seriously, how are we gonna win with this kind of-"

"Futakuchi-senpai!!!! I brought back a flag!" Terushima yelled excitedly, dashing to the base.

Too shocked to say anything else, Futakuchi responded with a jaw-drop.

"How did you do it?!" Koganegawa asked excitedly, "and who's flag did you steal?!"

"I got the Karasuno-Seijou flag! I ran to their base and quickly dashed out as fast as I could!" Terushima explained, placing the flag happily on its slot. "Now we just need to get one more to win!"

"We'll be taking that," (f/n) smirked out of nowhere, grabbing her flag, as well as the Date Tech-Johzenji flag with the Fukurodani-Nekoma flag present already in her hands, and quickly dashing off, Sugawara at her back, shooting the opponents.

"H-Hey! No fair! Give that back!" Terushima yelled, chasing after the two, a few other members following after.

--

"Run, just run!" Sugawara yelled, "this time, I've got your back! We won't fail like last time!"

"SAYS WHO?! NGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" yelled Yamamoto, who appeared behind them.

"(f/n)-senpai! Sugawara-senpai! Don't stop! I've got back up!" shouted Hinata, who was beside Iwaizumi.

"Don't stop! We got them!" Iwaizumi nodded, assuring them.

"Not for long!" Lev joined in, along with Yaku, who was shooting as well.

At this point, it became a terrifying bullet-dodging match, wherein everyone was running, shooting, dodging, and being shot.

"How far are we from base?!" (f/n) asked loudly. "These hella annoying snipers are shooting as well!"

"Not far! I see it!" Sugawara answered.

"I think Kageyama and Oikawa-san should have our backs by now, so just run, alright, Koushi?"

"What the hell do you think I'm doing, (f/n)?!"

"Sorry!"

Dashing for their lives, (f/n) quickly thought of a plan. "Koushi, get this! Just run, and give it to anyone you see at base if you get shot, alright?! I'll be right behind you!" she instructed, tossing him the flags.

Catching the flag, Sugawara nodded and ran for his life, face so intense.

"Daichi! Hanamaki! Matsukawa!" he yelled, approaching his teammates. "I've got the fla-"

Splat!

Silence.

The silver haired sniper had been shot in the side, his body slowly falling to the ground, the flags dropping to the floor.

"It's alright, I gotcha! Guys, help! Take care of him, I'll get this over with!" Daichi ordered, picking the three flags up, dashing to base.

"Osu!"

Quickening his pace, Daichi was just about to place the three flags down when he he felt a throbbing pain at the back of his neck, his whole body dropping to the floor.

"My, my. We've been here before, haven't we, Captain Crow?" Kuroo smirked, blowing the smoke out of his paintball gun.

"You have?" Bokuto asked.

"Yeah. We have, haven't we?" the bedhead sneered, bending down and looking at the fallen captain in the eye.

"Not... Again,"

"It's over again! Sorry, Sawamura, hate to break it to 'ya, but..." Kuroo started, laughing maniacally.

"You've lost. All. Over. Again."

"No," (f/n) interrupted, shadows casting over her eyes as she then looked up, a terrifying smile playing on her lips. "I'm not letting that happen. Not this time. I won't stand for this. Now, if you'll let me," she smiled, pointing both her guns at the two players, who looked at her with shocked expressions.

"Die."

--

|| Bonus:

"uWOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!! YAKINIKU!!!!!!!" Hinata, cheered loudly.

"Maji de? A whole meat party just for us?" Oikawa grinned, looking at the food hungrily.

"Of course. We thought you deserved it, after winning," Coach Ukai nodded, "Coach Irihata, Takeda-sensei, and Coach Mizoguchi helped pitch in, so make sure to thank them later."

"BANZAAAAAAAAIIIIII!!!!!" Everyone chorused loudly, digging in to the glorious meat.

--
