She rushed into class with hair all over her face and sweat dampening the random strands at the side of her head.

She quickly apologized, bowing deeply and heading towards her seat with silence trailing behind her.

Pulling her chair back, she sat down, fingers lacing around a pencil while she looked to the board with determination in her eyes.

It was the kind of determination that said "I am gonna pay attention to the lesson and try acing my test for once" and can make anyone feel like she was ready and invincible.

As the teacher continued speaking, he shot a glance at her, only to find her staring right back at him with the same expression written on her face.

Looking away, the boy blushed, really embarrassed because she had caught him this time, and not only that, but the fact that she was looking at him first made his heart leap right out of his chest.

She looked away as well, a bright red sprawled on her cheeks, shifting her gaze from him to her book which she started to find a temporary interest in.

Both seemingly thinking of class and everything around them, actually had the other swarming their thoughts like a song stuck on replay.

During lunch time, students flooded the hallways, the sound of busy footsteps and occasional chatter echoing throughout.

The loud noises of classroom doors being flung open, as well as the huge amount of students heading out to eat was nothing too unusual.

She headed towards the exit, holding her bento in her hands, hoping she would survive in this crowd of hungry students.

Silently, she made her way to an empty bench and took out her food and her chopsticks, mumbling 'itadakimasu' before digging in.

While chewing a piece of her food, she looked up to see the familiar streaks of orange dancing playfully in the sun, sitting on a face with a bright smile, only to find that he was staring at her first.

She looked away, embarrassed, a strange feeling of deja vu washing over her, yet another blush appearing on her face.

It was evident that his eyes said that he wanted to go talk to her, but she wasn't sure of this and doubted her strength to talk to him, so she continued eating, not daring to look up again.

She hoped that he'd initiate some type of conversation, even if it was just a small 'hello' or even a 'hi'.

By the time she finished, he was gone, and she looked disappointingly back at her empty lunch box.

The light breeze danced about in the air, making a few flicks of her hair fly away.

As she approached the gym to visit her friend, Tadashi, she could hear the squeaks and a few slams of volleyballs across the court.

She quietly slipped inside, no one noticing that she was even there, heading subtly to the bleachers.

Just then, she spotted those familiar hazel brown eyes dashing quickly from on side to another as the boy spiked a volleyball smack down to the floor.

She flinched in surprise- he was really good, considering his height.

She was absolutely amazed.

For the third time that day, those eyes met hers again, this time, with a smile and a twinkle, as if something grand were just about to happen.

But nothing amazingly magnificent had happened then, unless you counted the shout of Tadashi towards her as he motioned for her to come.

Then, he introduced each one of his teammates to her, eventually leading to the last boy: the orange-haired spiker with superb skills.

"H-Hinata Shoyou," he stammered, avoiding eye-contact as he blushed madly.

"(L-L/N)(F/N)," you nodded, looking away as well.

But the both of your hearts were yelling and dancing inside, for you guys had finally spoken to each other, and that was a huge accomplishment.

Mamihlapinatapai - a look shared by two people, each wishing that the other would initiate something that they both desire, but which neither wants to begin.
