Kei and Tadashi have been married for two years.Kei loved the dog,as did Tadashi. But thoughts of having a child crossed Tadashi's mind constantly.
"Hey, Kei? Ever thought about having a kid?" Tadashi questioned as they were about to sleep. "Does Kuroko not count?" "Do you think that maybe...maybe we could adopt one soon."Tadashi whispered. "Are we really prepared for that though, Tadashi?"
Tadashi looked at Kei. "Of course, I do. I know we are."
A few weeks later, the couple is in the adoption agency's room. Kei was more nervous than Tadashi. "Kei, it'll be fine. We can handle one kid." Tadashi assured.Kei just gave a quick nod but his leg continued bouncing. Tadashi sighed with a smile. "Tsukishima Kei and Tsukishima Tadashi?" the receptionist called. The couple walked up to the desk. "The children are ready for you." The receptionist smiled and showed them to the door. The couple thanked her and walked in. While Tadashi wandered over to the other side of the room occupied by teens, Kei stayed on the side with young kids.
So many little kids... Kei thought. Their laughter and running around made him more nervous. He sat down in a small chair and began bouncing his leg again. Kei, you weirdo, Tadashi smiled. A young child then walked over to Kei with a chair and began copying him. Kei looked over to the little boy and met his eyes. They were filled with mischief. Kei took a slight liking to the boy and asked him what his name was. "My name is Tet-" He was cut off by another boy. "Hey Tetsurou, come play with me!" Tetsurou glared at the boy, giving him a "knock it off" signal. Kei laughed and Tetsurou looked at him confused. "That's your friend?" Kei questioned. Tetsurou nodded with a smile. "That's my brother from another mother. His name is Koutarou and he's a really fun guy. So don't think about adopting me if you're not adopting him too!" Kei had a look of surprise on his face.
"Alright then. Introduce him to me." Tetsurou grinned and rushed over to his friend, pulling him towards Kei. "Hey hey hey! My name is Koutarou and Tetsurou is my best buddy." Koutarou said with excitement. "My,my. Aren't you two bubbly? That's what I like about you two, although I do prefer quiet. What do you boys like to do for fun?" Tetsurou answered first. " I like to read books." "I love to play sports. Volleyball is my favorite one!" Koutarou said.
Kei chuckled. "Tadashi's gonna love you two." The boys' eyes widened. "You have a husband?" they said at the same time. Kei nodded. "That's epic!" Koutarou whispered loudly. Tetsurou nodded in agreement.
"Would you boys like to meet him?" Kei asked, already knowing the answer. The boys nodded repeatedly. Kei reached his hands out to them, each boy taking one, and walked them over to Tadashi. They reached him and Tadashi introduced an older boy to the trio. "Hey Kei, this is Keiji." Kei looked at the boy with a curious look, the younger boy flinching and then looked down.  Kei looked away as well. "Um, nice to meet you, Keiji. Tadashi, this is Koutarou and this is Tetsurou ." Kei said, bringing the boys forward. "Why ,hello there boys! It's so nice to meet you two. I'm Tadashi, in case Kei hasn't told you." Koutarou had stars in his eyes." He said you guys are husbands! That's so cool!" Tetsurou added on, "I want a husband too when I'm older!" The couple's hearts softened and wanted the boy to be their son. But the other two had their hearts as well.
Their plans for a child had just expanded and they hoped it would work.
"Wow ,this sleepover sure is fun, what are we gonna do now?" Koutarou said as they finished the third movie around early morning. Tadashi and Tetsurou were passed out. Kei was nodding off and Keiji was awake watching over Koutarou. "Do you think they're only going to pick one of us?" Koutarou asked. Keiji scooted close to Koutarou and stayed silent for a moment. "I'm not sure, but I'm glad I get to know what a family's like." Keiji whispered, hugging his knees. Koutarou crawled over to him and hugged him.
"I hope you get to be my big brother." Koutarou said with a smile, and closed his eyes. Keiji teared up at the wish and hugged Koutarou tightly, not wanting to let go. They fell asleep to the movie's credits.
The next morning, Keiji woke up to the two young boys shouting about pancakes and waffles. "Pancakes are better and fluffier!" Koutarou yelled. "Waffles don't absorb the syrup, Kou! Don't you like food that's not drenched in syrup?" Tetsurou retorted. Keiji sighed. This was the seventh sleepover at the Tsukishima household, and he knew what it felt to be a big brother. He got up, approached the boys, and said quietly,"Boys, calm down and let the fact that French toast is better than both of those things into your mind." The boys looked at him for five seconds, jumping him onto the couch.
"Whaddya mean French toast is better? Why must you betray me like this, big bro?" "Yeah, why don't you like waffles?" The boys complained.
Tadashi entered the room, taking a picture before yelling at the little ones to sit at the table. He walked over Keiji and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Morning, sweetheart.",he smiled and walked to the stove to make breakfast. Keiji blushed and touched his forehead. "He's known me for only a month, yet he's treating like I'm his actual son."
Keiji smiled at the thought and sat at the table. Kei walked into the kitchen over to Tadashi and whispered something into his ear. Tadashi just smiled and waved him off. Kei sat at the table across from Keiji. Keiji shuddered, looking down at the table. "Something wrong, dear?" Tadashi asked as he set a plate of food in front of Keiji. "I'm fine, I just feel cold." Keiji said. He kept glancing at Kei while they were eating. Tetsurou watched Keiji's movements, thinking about why his brother was scared of their father.
"Well I'm going to head to work now. I hope you all have a nice day, love you guys." Kei said with a wave and he left.
After breakfast, Keiji headed to his room, only to be stopped by Tetsurou. "Can I ask you a personal question?"
"About what?"
"Your behavior whenever Dad's around."
"..."
"Sorry...I'm being intrusive, aren't I? Sorry, I'll stop aski-"
"Okay, I'll tell you...But this is our secret between just us two. So if you tell Koutarou, I'm going to break your Xbox."
"...Fair enough."
Keiji sighed heavily and began to speak.
