Kageyama lightly traced his boyfriend's collarbone with his thumb. It was early in the morning, probably sometime around 6:00. Kageyama was so used to waking up early for work he just naturally woke up at this time. He didn't resent that fact though; it gave him time on weekends when he could just admire his boyfriend's beautiful features. Hinata was lying on his side facing Kageyama. His mouth was ever so slightly open and his hands were loosely clasped at his chest. Hinata had fallen asleep with his head resting in the crook of Kageyama's neck, but during the night they had both shifted away from each other.

Kageyama pulled Hinata closer and buried his face in the smaller boy's hair. Hinata had always been a deep sleeper; it was generally extremely hard to get him up before 8:00 in the morning. Kageyama smiled to himself. This boy, Hinata Shoyo, was his boyfriend. Somehow, he managed to get this little ray of sunshine to fall in love with him.

Kageyama rose from the bed sheets. He decided that for all Hinata has done for him, he should try to do a little something for Shoyo in return. Kageyama silently rushed around the room, picking up clothes off the floor and tidying the dressers. As soon as the room looked as pristine as he could make it without waking up Hinata, Kageyama tiptoed into the kitchen to start making breakfast. He had never been very good at cooking; he never followed the recipe and always ended up ruining the meal. But this time, Kageyama promised that he will not mess it up.

Hinata had always loved chocolate chip waffles, so Kageyama decided to make that. He dug the waffle iron out from under the counter and searched for instructions, although there weren't any. Instead, Kageyama just looked up a simple chocolate chip waffle recipe on his phone. He slowly gathered the ingredients, trying to make the least amount of sound as possible. Once the ingredients were mixed, Kageyama poured some of it into the waffle iron, hoping that he was putting in the right amount. He closed the iron and waited anxiously for the small ding. Once they were done, he took them out and cut off a corner of one. After blowing on it, he put the piece of the waffle into his mouth, and much to his surprise and delight, it tasted delicious!

Kageyama bounced up and down with joy. He made a few more batches, fixed a glass of milk, and then brought the waffles into their bedroom. It was a half hour past eight, so Hinata should have been waking up soon anyway. Kageyama set the food on the bedside table on Shoyo's side, and sat gingerly down on the bed.

"Shoyo, Shoyo, its time to get up." He gently shook the small boy's shoulder. Hinata groaned a little and opened his eyes. Kageyama smiled down at him, and Hinata returned Kageyama's smile with a sleepy one of his own. Suddenly Hinata's eyes widen as he smelled the waffles.

"Tobio! Did you make breakfast?" Hinata asked, shocked. Kageyama baked for Hinata once before, and Hinata had almost thrown up after taking one bite. Shoyo turned to look at the waffles piled next to him on the table. He gingerly picked one up, ignoring the fork and knife, and took a small bite out of it.

"Do you like it?" Kageyama asked uncertainly.

"Oh, Kageyama, it tastes wonderful!! I can't believe it!" Hinata took a bigger bite out of the waffle. He shifted over to hug Kageyama. "Thank you so much, Kags." Kageyama hugged his boyfriend back, so happy that he was happy.

They ate the waffles in bed, Hinata mostly using his hands because he really couldn't be bothered to use the fork and knife.

"Does this mean that you'll start cooking for me?" Hinata smiled at Kageyama. He looked so adorable like this.

"Oh, how can I say no to that face? But just because I will doesn't mean it will be good!"

"What do you mean? Today, you have proved yourself! You have the ability to make decent food!" Shoyo exclaimed happily. Hinata kissed Kageyama joyfully, and Kageyama kissed back, but pulled away quickly.

"Dumbass, we can't kiss and eat at the same time!" Kageyama laughed at Hinata.

"Who says so?" Hinata started laughing uncontrollably while also trying to kiss Kageyama and swallow a bite of waffle.

"You're gonna choke, dumbass!"

"And it'll be your fault, Kags!" Hinata collapsed so he was no longer sitting up straight. Now Kageyama was heaving with laughter as well. Playfully, Kageyama reached over his boyfriend's torso and started to tickle him.

"Tobio! No! No, no-" Hinata screamed with laughter. "Stop! Please!" Hinata wriggled away from Kageyama, still laughing.

"I hate you," Hinata said, closing his eyes and sticking his tongue out at Kageyama.

"I love you, too."
