Leo gasped " Evelyn what the hell happened to your nose?"

"Umm... I think some kind of work is going on, on the terrace so, few workers were moving some stuff, she was running in the hallway and got hit by a big door or something. Her nose started bleeding and she could barely stand so I grabbed her and-"

Before Jasper could finish, Hazel, like always, swooped in and started screaming "you grabbed her! How tight did you grab her? Did you hold her by her waist really close? Smelling all heavenly. Evelyn, did you enjoy it? I bet you did?"

Hazel continued screaming "I can't believe you grabbed her and then you brought her inside the boys washroom, that does not seem like a plan at all." she says sarcastically. 

Jasper didn't say a word and sighed. It's not that difficult to understand that Jasper was just simply being polite but his crazy control freak ex-girlfriend was going nuts without any reason.

"Are you ok?" asked Chloe.

I replied "yeah... I don't know"

"Maybe you should go back home." Chloe suggested.

After a few seconds I realized that I was silent. Leo asked this time "hey are you sure you're ok? Should we take you to the medical room?"

"no I am fine I'll just pee and meet you guys outside"

"Evelyn!" Chloe said loudly. she looks at me with wide eyes waiting for me to realize something which I obviously don't "This is the boys' washroom. We have to go to the girls washroom for you to pee."

"Damn it." I cuss lowly, "right, yeah. No, I'm fine, really." So much happened and it's just the first day, also I did not expect so much drama, especially involving me." I am fine, let's go."

I enter the class I could not ignore but notice Jasper sitting in the last bench quietly, he seemed a bit upset. Maybe because of what Hazel said. I took the second bench.

My nose was still hurting a lot. But I was way too afraid to touch it, what if it's really deep and I accidentally touch my bone. oh god no!

Still it was hurting, so I tried to touch it and something smelled really good. It was a familiar smell as well. All of a sudden there was a quick flashback of everything that happened in the washroom, but it was not really Jasper that came to my mind.

It was the touch, the firm grip, it was that feeling of being cared for, but there were several times when my mother or Chloe or Leo took care of me if I needed someone, I don't know why this wasn't like every other time.

To my surprise Jasper's face didn't come to my mind even once! Maybe it was my conscience because of what Chloe might feel for him. I think the whole thing felt different because I've never felt it before or maybe I did but I didn't think of it this way. 

Mom's got my head messed up with all the boyfriend talks. But where's  the smell coming from, jasper was sitting way far from me.

Oh shit! It's his handkerchief, I quietly groaned. He must have forgotten to take it from me. It had that smell. What the hell am I supposed to do with it? I quickly opened my bag and put it inside and tried to not think about anything that happened inside the washroom before everyone barged in. Basically, I don't want Chloe to think anything different than what it actually was.

(Bell rang for lunch)

"So did he really grab you close? like tightly?" I could tell that Chloe was insecure.

"No, he gave me the minimum support I needed. He just grabbed me enough to keep me standing and then dragged me inside of the boys washroom. I am sure he did that because it was the closest room" I said.

"Hey Evelyn," Leo mocked. "Do you smell someone's ass burning or is your nose way too broken for that."

"Oh c'mon I'm not jealous, I'm just asking a general question. I am not jealous, for sure." said Chloe although her cheeks said something else.

"Although Hazel was right about one thing, Jasper does smell like Paradise," said Leo.

"Gay much?" Chloe added.

"I swear I was in so much pain I just could not have concentrated on anything else but my nose, that was bleeding. Jasper was simply being polite and Hazel just said all those rubbish things unnecessarily.

"Well that's what she does" said Leo.

"What class do we have now?"

" History I guess"

"I have to grab the world History book from the library" said Leo.

"Yeah good thing you said, I myself have to go see Mr.Dey. He's the new anthropology teacher. Super hot Indian guy, I surprisingly find anthropology interesting nowadays." said Chloe

I smirked and said " uhh.. Someone has a crush".

"Evelyn, you should come with me. The medical room is near the library so we could swing by there" said Leo.

" Yeah, we could do that," I replied.

"Okay then see you in class" said Chloe

Leo and I head towards the library. Leo was trying to find the world history book that he needed, it was not where he thought it would be. So he went from one self to another. I was kind of getting bored. So I went and sat down at the corner table.

"Hey, how are you doing now?" that was a familiar sound, I turned my head, it was Jasper.

"I am fine, I'm doing, better now"

"Cool cool cool. Oh and I am sorry for what ever happened back there in the washroom with Hazel. It's just how she is. She is insecure and annoying. Also I probably shouldn't be talking to you about her because we just broke up and I shouldn't bad mouth her. But I think even you will agree."

"Yeah well"

"Oh and-" 

I cut Jasper off "You know, I get it, you're the nice guy" I say it with a smile pretty politely "who helped me, but you know  what you did to my best friend." I narrow my eyes "I mean yes I'm really thankful to you for helping me with the bleeding and everything. But I don't think we can have a lot of ordinary friendly chats because I was there when Chloe was crying her heart out."

While I was saying these things I could see Jasper's face in shock and regret. Maybe. 

"I- I understand, um... could you at least say sorry to Chloe on my behalf" asked Jasper.

"Yeah maybe" I answered.

Jasper leaves. 

After a few minutes Leo finally finds his book and we were on the way to the class.

Mrs. Violate comes inside the class and says that she had an announcement to make "Everyone pay attention, there's a new student who'll join us". I could see a lot of faces in the class who were excited.

Students who generally join a new high school tend to have good academic scores and while I was thinking about this new student a very 'sexy', yes I said it a very 'sexy' voice trembles through my ears.

"Excuse me ma'am".

I look at the door and there. A tall guy, beautiful curly blonde hair. Wearing a black leather jacket and white t-shirt inside and a Deathly Hallows locket chain with black jeans. He runs his hands through his hair. He had those smoldery things going on with his cute brown eyes.

"This is Liam Kade. He is from California and he'll be joining us from today." says Mrs. Violate.

Oh, he's good, I said to myself. While I couldn't take my eyes off his hair, his arms, his jawline, I didn't realize when he walked straight towards me.

"Is this seat taken?" his deep, sensitive voice snaps me out of the daze and I look up at him, just to find that he was looking right at me. 

And me being all mesmerized by his freakishly handsome face I stay quiet. Seeing which a slight smirk tags along his lips.

Chloe was actually sitting with Leo that day because they had a science project they had to finish. So I move aside to make space for him to sit. And good god, he smelled so damn nice.

Mrs. Violate gets a phone call so she leaves the class for a few minutes. I thought maybe I can start a conversation with him, I mean he's a classmate, so why not.

Also because.... dude is soooo fine.

"Hey!"

"Hi!" he replies, with his tough, deep voice. A little smile by the corner of his lips.

"So... you're a potterhead, huh?" I ask awkwardly.

"Yeah pretty much. You?"

"Yeah... I mean I'm not typically a potterhead but I've watched all the movies and I really love them."

"Good good..."

There was a moment of awkwardness for a minute or so...

After which I keep focusing on what Mrs. Violate was teaching.

The class is almost over when I slightly turn my head to the left and see Liam and find him already looking at me!

Ohhh my my! That sudden tickly feeling in my stomach.

He smiled and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to creep you out. I actually missed some of the notes by the end, so I was hoping to ask you for it."

"Oh um... yeah sure here you go." I give him my notebook and the tickly feeling in my stomach is long gone by the end of that sentence.

The class was about to end, when a group of boys barged in the classroom and one of the guys was dressed like a girl and another tall one who was dressed a lot like someone I can't properly recollect but it looked familiar. The guy who was dressed up like a girl suddenly held his nose and started screaming

"Oh my god, someone please grab me." with an irritatingly squeaky voice. "My nose is bleeding I think I'm gonna collapse" The other guy came and grabbed him and he continued "no that's not enough grab me even harder or I'll fall". 

Of course. By then it was clear to me what was happening and now I clearly remember why that outfit looked familiar. It was a lot like what Jasper wore today.

"Seriously! It's just the first day, you have the whole year left to pull off your stupid pranks" said Chloe .

"Oh Come on Chloe, don't be a buzzkill Bob. It's just a little prank on your pathetic, hopeless and needy bestie who's craving for attention from handsome boys." argued Hazel.

"Really! That's what this is about? Well Hazel let me burst that little bubble of yours. All the mean things that you just said to Evelyn, perfectly applies to you. Jasper dumped your ass and now you're craving for his attention." Chloe yelled.

"Class! That is enough! I want both of you in the principal's chamber. Hazel and Chloe both of you report to the principal's chamber, immediately!" yelled the teacher.

"Excuse me ma'am, I am sorry but I don't think it's Chloe's fault here. It was this stupid guy who tried to pull a prank in the middle of the class and I am sure Hazel has a big part to play in it and I will tell you why because today morning I got hit by door and my nose started bleeding. Hazel's ex-boyfriend tried to simply be polite and help me because I was barely able to stand and Hazel being Hazel could not stand a polite gesture of someone helping their classmates. So I would like to tell you that if it is anyone that you should take to the principal chamber it should be Hazel and these minions that she haired"

Woh. That was ballsy Evelyn

"Miss Bay, it is very brave and courageous of you to stand by your classmate but she spoke such words inside the class while the teacher was present and was hence is a part of this circus which is why she'll be going to the principal's office" said the teacher.

"How much was it?" asked Leo on our way home

"what ?"

"The balls," he answered .

Chloe started laughing.

I keep looking at them with a confused look.

"Leo is talking about the little speech that you gave in class, and called those guys 'minions'"

I smiled "mmhmm".

Leo went his way home, Chloe and I went our way home.

After I got home, I didn't want to frighten mum with the injury on my nose. So I left my school bag down the stairs and went straight upstairs to my bedroom to take a nap.

I was tired from all the drama that happened. I was about to fall asleep when my phone buzzed.

(Text from Jasper) appeared on the mobile screen with a text notification. I frowned at the phone. 

"Hey, I know you told me we can't have a lot of friendly chats but just hear me out. I kinda intentionally went to the library to talk to you. after what happened in the washroom I can't hold myself anymore. There's something I wanna confess".
