After I finished making the fruit salad. I dig into the pocket of the shorts that I was wearing. I realise that I wasn't wearing my cloths. I may have left my phone upstairs. I shout from the dining space to let Liam and Leo know that I'm going upstairs. 

I look around as soon as I enter the room. Ah, on the shelf. I check my phone. (2 missed calls from mum, 10 minutes ago) flashes up on the screen.

Of course, I didn't go back home last night. I should've given her a call. But with everything that went down last night it slipped outta my mind. So I immediately called her back.

"You wanna explain?" she started. And I don't blame her. "You could've at least texted me about spending the night at Leo's. I'm sure you don't get it but I was worried."

And that.... must've been Chloe. "Yeah. I'm- I'm sorry, my phone was dead and I was really tired. So I just crashed as soon as I reached his place."

"It's alright. You don't have to be sorry. Leo's a nice kid. But you should have informed me at least. From someone else's phone or even meet me at the fundraiser."

"Yeah. I should've."

"So did you have a good time last night?" Her question instantly reminded me of the Hyde situation. 

"No. It was.... "I whispered. I was totally out of reality, when all of that started flashing back, like it was happening all over again.

"Um, Eva, I didn't hear that properly. You didn't-?"

And I pull myself together and zone back in. "what? No. I mean Yeah, we did, we did enjoy it. Like a ton. We danced and had a few drinks, not too many though, we played some games. It was amazing. All together. " I sigh.

"I'm glad that you did. So? When are you coming back?"

"Evening maybe. I was hoping I could spend the day at Leo's and then return back home in the evening by 7 max."

"Okay. Have fun. Love you."

"Love you mum."

Woh. That went well. It's very rare that we share such simple, normal mother daughter convo. But I'm glad we did. She's not a bad person, but sometimes she just acts in certain ways that make me mad.

I go back down stairs. Liam and Austin are by the table arranging the dishes. Leo must be in the kitchen. I walk towards the table and offer to help.

Leo comes back with a plateful of bacon. There are pancakes, fruit salad, and sausages on the table.

Everything seemed just perfect. But it wasn't easy to not think about last night. As much as I wanted to stop thinking about everything and just enjoy all this, some of the things kept coming back.

Every time I look at Leo his numb face would blind me. That cut on Austin's temple keeps reminding me of the starting of that incident and the one person that was constant in all of this was Hyde.

I can't believe that someone would go that low. Leo's in complete denial. Austin did seem a little quieter than usual. But he kept that happy energy going on to accompany Leo.

"Hey." Liam's voice snaps me out of the nightmare. "You okay?"

I take a deep breath in "I don't know." I let go of a long sigh while I looked at my feet. "Are you not worried about Austin? He went through some shit last night." I say, looking back up.

"Evelyn, he's 18. I did my job beating the shit outta that bastard last night. And then bringing him home and everything. I'm not his mom." That sounded rude. I narrowed my eyes on him. "Look. he's my big brother and I love him with my life. But there are a few things that I can't ask him to do, he's an adult."

"You didn't answer my question though. Are you not worried about him?"

"Of course I am. But it's out of my hands. And you know why, cause I know that he was the one who busted the door open into that room. He's always like that. He has no control over his feelings or his actions. None of you got injured and Chloe and Jasper were somehow out of that place."

"But that doesn't mean you won't take care of him."

"When did I ever say that? I said that a few things are not in my hands. If he wants to act like he's fine I can't force him to be sad. And don't you think Leo's the one who's in denial, what about that?" He's right. And Austin is behaving the way he is, clearly because of Leo.

"Yeah." I look down at my feet. "I know."

I feel his finger under my chin, he lifts it up and softly lands his lips over mine. "I didn't mean to be rude." He eyes looking right into mine. his thumb brushes over my cheecks and he lands yet another gentle kiss on my lips.

A little smile curve up on my face when I look up at him. "Mmhmm"

"I should go get showered, you can take my place over there." He says with a smile on his face and stretching his hands out, pointing in the direction of the dinning table.

Liam goes upstairs and I make my way to the kitchen. Austin's making scrambled eggs. Leo's in the dining room arranging all the dishes.

To be honest I was not really fine with the whole Leo keeping it like the incident never happened. Because I feel like it wasn't something someone can easily forget. It was terrible.

My heart starts pounding every time I think of it. And sometimes to get over things we need to have closer. A proper breakdown of the whole scenario to keep it in the past and move forward.

"Can I help you with something?" I offer.

"No, not really." Austin sighs.

"So how are you feeling?" I ask, he glances at me, tugging the corners of his lips down and doing a little upward movement with his shoulder. That says, it is bugging him but he can't speak of it.

Boy he really loves Leo. "I'm- uh, okay" he replies.

"Okay. Cool." I wasn't the one to drag the conversation. So I change the subject "uh, seems like Leo has planned a royal breakfast" he chuckles, I chuckle as well. "Well, that's Leo. He loves to make it extravaganza."

"Yeah" says Austin and chuckles.

*doorbell rings*

"That must be Chloe" I run towards the door, pulling it open. "Hey!" We hug.

"We brought pie!" Says Jasper from behind Chloe, lifting the pie up so that it's visible to everyone.

"Aye!" Leo shouts from the kitchen.

"Woo!" Says Austin as I let those two in.

"Aww, aren't you two being all husband and wifey." Says Leo, mockingly.

I ask Jasper to go to the kitchen with the Pie. Because Leo still hasn't figured out the whole table situation. He is doing the napkins, the spoons, the forks, the dishes and the food.

"Hey, why don't you two go plan some games." Says Leo.

"Mmhmm, that sounds good." I immediately drag Chloe by her hand and take her to Austin's room.

"Uh, okay." Chloe's a little confused. But I have to tell her about what happened yesterday.

As soon as we enter Austin's room I shut the door. "I think you should sit down for this one."

"I knew it. Tell me tell me tell me! What's happening? Everything since yesterday night was so weird. I mean you asked me and Jasper to leave and then all of a sudden you tell me that everything's fine." Well that's Chloe, she sees right through me.

"I know, I know, things were happening so fast and everything was so freaking weird and terrifying." I say, doing a lot of hand movements. "So after Austin busted the door open Hyde suddenly kicked him from the side and Austin fell, hitting his head. That's when I asked you guys to leave and get some help."

I told every little detail of the whole incident. Chloe sat there silent and stunned, her mouth stayed agape throughout. She would look down and hold her forehead in shock.

"I can't believe that son of a gun did that!" She says in a rather whispering voice, as I told her that Leo was in major denial.

And the door opened. "Oh, uh hey Chloe." Liam waves at Chloe.

"Hey, dude." Says Chloe, fiddling her fingers up in the air.

"Leo asked me to get you guys, breakfast's all ready. Well more like brunch" he says looking at his watch.

It's 10:14. Chloe and I leave the room and Liam follows. I was right behind Chloe and Liam was beside me. I suddenly feel his hands on my butt, at first gently touching it and then giving it a little squeeze.

I shut my lips and curl them in, to stop the little squeak from getting out. I look up at him, to find him already looking at me. He's also trying not to laugh. 

"Everyone! Gather around." Says Leo putting his hands in the air asking all of us to come to the Dining table. We do.

We all sit down, everything on the table looks amazing. Everyone take a spoonful of what they liked the most. Austin take a bowl full of fruit salad. Jasper serves Chloe with some bacon on her plate.

We laugh about random stuff. And to be honest, right now, even I wanted to forget about everything that happened yesterday and just enjoy this. Austin shoves a big ass lettuce inside Leo's mouth. Dude hates lettuce, so it was fun to watch him eat it.

Meanwhile I feet Liam's feet playing with mine. And I couldn't stop but blush. My phone vibrates. It's a text, no it's a picture from a random number. I slide the lock open and open the text.

I was right. It's a picture of Leo. Naked.

Text: Do not inform the police or the school administration. Or these pictures go viral. And just so you know, I have some even nicer pictures, I'm thinking of making it my phone wallpaper *tongue out emoji. Will send you if you want. Have a nice day darling.

It's not that difficult to write bad characters you know. It's difficult to write a good bad character. Like Klaus, Oh did I tell you that I'm obsessed with the Vampire Diaries? I am. Anyways that's not relevant to the story.
