I feel my phone buzzing again, I slowly open my heels and start running on my tippy toes. As soon as I am out of that hallway I pick it up, "did you find him?" Comes from the other side.

"No No I'm trying", I reply to Austin.

"Maybe we should go to the parade, it's about to start, and if Chloe doesn't see us she's gonna freak out. Meet me under the old white clock."

"Ok." I wear my heels and rush down. My heart is still pounding, the universe must be mad at us or something. it's just one after the other. It keeps going. Why does Hyde keep doing this to us?

What was that conversation about? Why was it so heated up? Should I inform the sheriff? Also how did they enter the town hall in the first place? F*ck

I find Austin standing under the big ole white clock, Dan's standing beside him, he looks more mad than worried. But I can't really blame him. We push ourselves into the crowd and to the front so that Chloe's able to see all of us.

The parade starts with the Mayor announcing the victories Swindon high has achieved, the Football team got into Varsity again this year making a record for being selected in varsity 4 times in a row.

There has been a lot of construction work around the town lately, a new golf court, two new eco friendly cafes, a children playhouse and library. All these were on the development list last year which are in progress now.

After which the town's popular chorus group starts entering on some sort of a truck that has this big area behind it for all the props and people to stand on it. Chloe's mum was there in the chorus. She has a lovely voice.

I wave my hand at her with a smile and she waves back. She was wearing this blue gown and her hair tied up in a bun. She looked like a queen.

It was a lovely performance by the chorus group they sang 'Doo-Wop' by Lauryn Hill and they totally nailed it.

Then came the football team and the cheerleading group. They did a little gymnastics, there was a lot of wooing by the girls and boys "Go shepherds! Go shepherds!" There's glitters all around "oi oi oi oi !" Everyone keeps cheering for the football team and surely they deserve it!

The blue and white jersey reminds me of someone. The smile on my face slowly starts to fade away. I stop clapping, and gulp. Why does this make me sad? Why do I still miss him? I know he's hiding something from me and he's lying to me about it, then why do I feel the need to go back to him and hug him so tight that he never leaves me again.

Suddenly the cheering gets louder when the parade starts. There are drums and gymnasts and lots of confetti. The mayor announces the names of the boys and girls as they approach.

The first one were seniors, don't really know who they are.

Then comes Lilian and Josephine, I know them. Like I've seen them together, I spoke to them once or twice last year, they look really cute together. The third pair to arrive is finally Chloe and Leo. Both of them look amazing in that dress.

Chloe's wearing a red and white gown with a tiara and Leo's wearing a white cropped tank top kinda thing and Black parallel pants. They wave as soon as their eyes fall on us.

I wave as well, I try to keep a smile on my face. Chloe's doing the same I can tell.

5 more pairs approach the field and once they're all in 'Tainted Love' by Soft cell starts playing and they give a beautiful performance.

Leo surely looks a little nervous because he doesn't know the routine. But he seems to be managing the steps pretty well.

Suddenly I feel like someone just left from behind. I quickly move my head around to find that Dan leaves. Oh god. What's with this guy?

It's not like we're not giving our best tryna find Jasper. I know for sure that he's inside the premises as there are guards in all the gates and if it was Hyde I don't think he'll be able to leave this area.

I leave the crowd as well before which I ask Austin to stay there as Leo was already nervous and might get even more freaked out if he sees no one. I chase him the best I can. He takes long strides with his tall figure and long legs. I find it really difficult to catch him, so I yell.

"HEY! Stop!" He doesn't pay attention. Must be deaf if he can't hear me. I try again. "Dan! Stop! Where you going?"

He stops and finally turns around. "To get an ice cream. You want one?" He tilts his head and brings his eyebrows closer. Seriously. This is the time he chooses sarcasm. "Stupid." He mumbles under his breath. But I understand that. he starts to walk again but a little slower this time. that doesn't really make any difference his legs are so long, they go like a mile at every step.

"Of course you think I'm stupid. Just cause I'm the only one tryna think of something sane here. I'm the stupid one." I argue back. This guy's getting on my nerves. I almost reach him after all the power walking I did. "You don't have any idea how your one act can jeopardize so much here."

"Well guess what I don't want to know" and just when I pause in front of him he starts walking again. "The only thing that I care about right now is if my brother's alright or not." Aagghh. Such an arrogant piece of shit.

"Dan, this isn't the time for an irrational decision, we need to think of something that is one hundred percent safe for all of us." He grabs my arm and pulls me aside, on the ground floor of the town hall.

Just beside the stairs. It's quite and isolated here. Now he grabs both my arms and presses my back against the wall.

Flashback. This is gonna make me miss Liam even more. His grip wasn't so firm. But strong enough to keep me at one place.

His tall strong body pressed against mine while he looked right into my eyes and his cute brown eyes silently complimenting me, watching every inch of my skin. I sigh at the thought that I'll never feel his touch ever again.

"Listen I don't. Give. A Fuck." Dan's voice snaps me out of the dream called Liam. "I need my brother. He's the only thing I've left in my life." And I realize that Dan's grip is actually hurting me.

I look at him and I'm sure there's fear on my face. He immediately lets go of my arm, takes a step back. even though I'm mad at him for being such an arrogant idiot, I think I understand where he's coming from. It's his little brother we're talking about Given his family condition, Jasper is everything he has left in his life. "I'm sorry. I didn't-" he hesitates "I didn't mean to."

Footsteps. Someone's coming down the stairs. I grab his hand and pull him inside the room just beside us. It isn't a good thing to let people know that Jasper's missing.

This can get really chaotic real quick. And if it's really Hyde who has done this, letting more people know is a bad idea.

And we carefully peek through the window. To see if the person has left and in which direction he/she goes. The footsteps come closer. And closer.

We're finally gonna witness the person. There's a good chance that it's Hyde. Because the stairs lead to the hallway which is not very crowded.

It has a lot of conference rooms and a store/printing room. Where I heard the two strangers talking. But my heart stops at what I see. Rather who I see. I grab Dan's arm and freeze. I'm holding my breath because if I let go of it, there'll be a really bad, unstoppable flow of water from my eyes.

It's Liam. The person I see before me is Liam

Oh! How I love writing writing these scenes. I think the small climactic parts in a story is what keep the readers on their nerves. I've tried my best to write them as nicely as possible.
