Two Trickster's, a Lakeside cabin and trapped victims

There was a loud pounding noise filling the air as Sam slowly wakes up. Groaning, he opens his eyes to the bright sunlight streaming in through the window. Something hard was under his cheek and he realised he wasn't lying in bed.

Slowly sitting up, Sam runs a hand through his hair and takes in his surroundings. Sweet wrappers were littered everywhere, a chair was shoved under the doorhandle in case Dean picked the lock and pranking supplies were scattered across the room in an 'organised' fashion.

Gabe was sprawled out facedown on the floor, a lollipop stuck to his cheek and his golden hair messy. In front of the sleeping boy was a bucket full of rainbow glitter and another full of hot pink paint.

Sam chuckles softly at the sight, turning back to the desk he'd fallen asleep at. Several bottles of fizzy with mentos' hidden under the cap sat waiting for someone to open them and let the mentos fall. Sam smirks, standing with a wince. Sleeping slumped over a desk wasn't exactly comfortable, but staying up til 4:30 am didn't either.

The alarm clock by the bed read 8:58, and judging by the grumbling and clanging downstairs, the others were awake. Sam crouches beside Gabe, shaking his shoulder gently.
"Gabe, wake up, wake up before the others try getting in here."
It takes several moments of shaking Gabriel before he stirs. The first thing he does is slap the lollipop from his cheek.

"What!? What's going on?" He mutters sleepily. That's when Sam saw the other candy stuck to Gabriel's hair. Stifling his laughter, Sam bent forward and quickly pulls it out before it got tangled.

Holding it up for Gabe to see, Sam gives him a bemused look. "Really Gabe?"

"Shut up Samantha, I need coffee."

"Well, with everyone currently wanting to kill us, we should be careful with how we go down there."

Gabe smirked, looking around at the mess of pranking supplies scattered around them. "Well, how should we start our end-of-weekend-getaway pranks?"

Sam bites his lip, looking at the door as he thinks it over. "Well we can't really hide here the entire time..." He trails off as footsteps sound outside the door, the wooden floor creaking under what sounded like boots, which meant Dean was probably right outside.

Sam motioned for Gabe to be quiet, and the two barely breath as they hear Dean muttering angrily from the other side of the door. They could clearly hear him grumbling about an angry, sparkling satan and Gabe has to stuff his fist in his mouth to mask his chuckling.

"Sammy!? You in there still? If you're asleep then you better wake up!" Dean calls out through the door.

Sam rolls his eyes at Dean's logic, how was he supposed to answer if he was asleep?

"Sammy? I swear I'll kick this door down!"

Gabe's eyes widen, and he leans in towards Sam. "Would he really do that?" He breaths into Sam's ear.

Sam suppresses the shiver he felt at the close proximity of Gabe. "I wouldn't put it past him," he whispers back.

"Should we pretend to be asleep and cute our way out of this?"

Sam thought it over, "no, he'd probably just do whatever he's planning anyway."

Gabe looks back at the window, glancing at the pranking supplies mournfully. "Should we run and leave everything?"

"...no, no we should hide the stuff, then run."

Gabe nodded slowly, before the glint returned to his eyes, "you know what, I've got an idea to start off the pranks, c'mon."

The two hurriedly shove everything behind their bags in the closet, not even bothering to try and be quiet now. Shutting the closet, they turn and dive out the window, having momentarily forgotten that their room was two stories high.

Meanwhile, Dean had picked the lock and was now trying to open the door. But there was still the chair under the handle. Cursing, he turns and slouches back into his room, only to run into Cas's chest as the black haired boy came running out.

"Sam and Gabe, they are walking towards the forest," Cas says in a fast voice, dragging Dean behind him as they run after their younger siblings. Outside, it was warm and windless, the sun slowly climbing higher into the sky. The two begin walking in the wood, silently searching for their brothers. Little did they know, Sam and Gabe were sitting happily in a tree watching their older brothers search the clearing.

20 minutes later, Cas and Dean had returned to the clearing they'd passed through earlier and sit down on the warm grass. Cas lies on his back with a sigh and looks up at the deep blue sky.

"So, should we head back?" Dean asks, swallowing as his eyes trail down to the small strip of skin showing on Cas where his shirt had hitched up. 'Straight, I'm straight, I am not gay for my best friend,' Dean tells himself. A tiny part of him, better known as the part that has embraced the rainbow, scoffs at his lies. But Dean wasn't about to have an argument with himself over his sexuality so instead, he joins Cas in lying back and enjoying the sun.

Sam grins widely as he watches his brother starting to lose the battle to his inner gayness. Gabe tugs on Sam's shirt sleeve, interrupting his proud thoughts.

"This is the perfect time to implement Plan Destiel," Gabe whispers, already starting to climb down their tree. They sneak past their brothers and dash back to the cabin, mischievous grins on their faces as they once again climb through the window and into their room.

They grab the needed supplies before tiptoeing over to the door, sharing a grin and a nod, they carefully remove the chair. Sam holds his breath as he slowly pulls the door open, he sticks his head out, making sure the hall was clear before they leave the room. In their haste to chase Sam and Gabe down, Cas and Dean had left the door to their room open, making it easier for the two pranksters to put their plan into action.

They work silently, praying that no one came up and found them. Of course, they'd have to face their friends sooner or later, but as far as Sam was concerned, later was the better option. He watches Gabe for a moment, smirking as the shorter boy struggles to place the bag of rainbow confetti above the door.

After several moments, Sam decides that Gabe has suffered enough and heads over to help him. Sam stands behind Gabe, carefully taking the bag from Gabe's reaching hands and easily hooking it onto the rigging the Gabe had came up with. Letting go of the bag, Sam looks down at Gabe and realises that they were standing closer than what friends would normally be. Gabe turns around, and suddenly Sam finds himself standing flush against Gabe's body, and all he could do was blush as he finds himself stuck looking into Gabe's eyes.

Gabe's mouth opens and shuts, and Sam's eyes drop to Gabriel's lips, which were slightly parted. They were so close, all it would take was Sam to bend down slightly and close the very short gap between them and then... Sam felt a warm flutter in his stomach, a feeling that spread as Gabe's hands rest on his waist. Sam leans in, his forehead brushing Gabe's, their breaths mingling. Their lips were so close now, and Sam closes his eyes in anticipation as he feels the warm feeling make him feel as if he were floating.

The sound of voices and footsteps broke them both out of their trance. Sam jumps back, flushing furiously and ducking his head. He glances up to see Charlie and Lucifer staring at them in shock.

"Were you two..." Charlie trails off questioningly.

Sam blushes harder, and looks at Gabe to see that the boy had a light blush across his cheeks as well. He looks back at Charlie, who was obviously waiting for an answer.

"Wh-what!? No wh-why would you think that?" Sam exclaims in an embarrassed stutter.

For a moment Gabe almost looked hurt and disappointed, but then the look fades from his face and he goes back to his usual smirk.

"Stop lying," Lucifer rolls his eyes. "Wait... I'm still angry at you two!"

Sam's eyes widen, "but I didn't have anything to with those pranks."

"No, but you kept Gabe hidden."

"Please don't kill him," Gabe says, breaking out of his quiet state.

Lucifer pauses, looking at Gabriel in amusement. "Who do you think I am? I'm satan not a murderer."

Gabriel blinks, quickly looking at Sam who was still blushing. "So what are you going to do?"

Lucifer smirks, "nothing."

"I don't believe you."

"Why?"

"Your smirk."

"Fine, but I'm just letting you know that Cas and Dean are downstairs so you better leave their room, plus lunch is ready."

"You're not wanting to know why we are in here?" Gabriel asks.

"Nope," Lucifer replies, popping the P. "Besides, I'm hoping that it has something to do with Deastiel."

"Deastiel? Oh yeah, it has everything to do with Destiel."

Lucifer rolls his eyes before turning around and heading back downstairs. Charlie lets out a small squeal of excitement before following him. Sam and Gabe share a bemused look, with a small side dish of awkwardness.

"Shall we head down my dear Samoose?" Gabe grins.

"We shall," Sam grins back, glad he hadn't ruined his friendship. What was he thinking? Gabe was his friend and here he was going and nearly kissing him, what an idiot! Gabriel probably didn't even like him like that.

Gabe sets the trap, ready for Cas and Dean to trip it. Sam starts heading down the stairs, feeling a bit nervous after all the out of character things he's jut done with Gabe. He'd taken the Impala for gods sake, Dean called that thing his baby. Sam was a dead man walking.

Everyone was already sitting around eating when Sam and Gabe made it downstairs. They quietly grab lunch before joining their friends.

"So, hows everyone?" Gabe asks.

"Oh fine, thanks for the bath in blood-red water by the way," Michael rolls his eyes.

"Hey, you brought the Trickster on a trip to the cabin, what'd expect."

Cas frowns, "but didn't you organize this?"

Dean smiles fondly at Cas, "yeah he did, but we should've checked him for pranking supplies." His gaze turns to Sam and he narrows his eyes. Sam swallowed nervously, he was dead.

"You're lucky you didn't scratch baby or you'd be dead right now."

Sam smiles innocently, making the smart choice of staying quiet. After this, everyone seemed to forgive the boys, and everything went back to normal.

~~Time skip to after lunch~~

After lunch, everyone decided to go do their own things for an hour or so, and this lead to Cas heading up to his room to do some drawings. Dean followed saying he planned to lie back and listen to some tunes.

Sam and Gabe followed discretely, Gabriel had his shit-eating grin on his face as they hid in the doorway of their room, watching as the two unsuspecting teens open their door and enter their room. First there was the startling sound of an air horn as the door handle pressed against the lever of the horn taped to the wall. Then, while the boys were startled, the bag of rainbow confetti tipped and confetti fell around them. From his position beside Gabe in their doorway, Sam could hear Cas's deep, dazed voice.

"Confetti... its a parade."

Then another string of curse words rise from Dean as they set off another prank.

Gabriel waits until a very pissed off Dean stumbles out of the room covered in confetti and green sludge, thank god the floors were wooden. He's followed by a disgruntled Cas and they go into the bathroom, which is exactly where Sam and Gabe were hoping they'd go.

Sam waits until they're both in the room, then he dashes forward, slams the door shut and shoves the sturdy chair underneath the handle. Then, for good measure, he uses a piece of strong rope to hold the handle in place.

"SAMUEL TRISTAN WINCHESTER, LET ME OUT OF HERE THIS INSTANCE OR I'LL KILL YOU," Dean shouts.

"Sorry Deano, but Sammy and I won't let you out until you two sort out your sexual tension."

"Gabriel..." Cas starts sternly.

"Sorry Cassie! Can't hear you through that thick cloud of sexual tension!"

Sharing a hi-five, the two tricksters run off together and start doing what Gabe does best, pranking.

Hours later, Gabe and Sam were hidden away in their room chuckling as the occasional shout would come from the bathroom. They were sitting quietly, waiting for the others to find the pranks they'd left around.

Finally, "Hey Gabe! Want a fizzy?" Lucifer calls out.

Gabe smirks, "No thanks! I've got some already," He replies. Sam would have questioned Gabe turning down anything with with sugar if he didn't know about the mentos hidden under the cap.

Sure enough, seconds later when Lucifer undid the caps and therefore letting the mentos fall, annoyed shouts fill the air as the fizzy erupts in the unsuspecting victims.

Sam and Gabe stick their heads around the doorframe in time to see Lucifer, Adam and Kevin run upstairs, bubbling fizzy soaking their shirts and splashed across their faces.

They hit the patch of soapy water and slip, hitting the trip wire which then tips the two buckets of ping pong balls over in front of the boys who all fall backwards under the bombarding wave of balls.

Chuckling, Gabe bounces energetically and hi-five's Sam. Sam smiles softly, gazing fondly at his friend.

He loved the way Gabe's sunlit whisky coloured eyes were shining with excitement, and he loved the smile Gabe wore when he wasn't smirking... Sam froze, 'I don't like Gabe... Do I?' Sam pondered over this, questioning his feelings as he sits beside Gabe on the bed.

Then his thoughts shift to the almost kiss. He was so caught up in  his thoughts that he didn't hear Gabe until Gabriel physically shook him.

"I can't like- opps sorry Gabe I must of zoned out."

Gabe looks at Sam curiously, "who can't you like?"

Sam flushes, but before he could even try and stutter out a response, the disgruntled prank victims burst into the room. Cas and Dean following close behind and looking very pissed.
