Romance novel moment 🌈

*Sorry for any typos*

After school, Gabriel invited the Winchester boys over to his house. Part of the reasoning behind this was because he knew the Winchester brothers were dreading going home to their father, but it was also because of the fact that he wanted to spend more time with Sam.

Sam was sitting quietly in the back of the Impala, hazel eyes distant as he gets lost deep in thought. Gabe quietly reaches across the seat, grabbing Sam's hand without a word and turning back to look out the window.

Sam glances down at their intertwined hands with a soft smile, he catches Dean watching them through the rear view mirror, but Dean's want for Sam to be happy seemed to overrule his dislike for Gabriel as he nods slightly and moves his eyes back onto the road.

Soon enough, they pulled up outside the Novak's house, and Gabe rushes inside while dragging Sam behind him. Sam hurries to catch up, stumbling up the stairs as Gabe pulls him up, still holding his hand.

There were 4 doors leading to bedrooms, and Gabe explained there were s couple more downstairs. They slowed to a walk, and Sam could see names on personalized nameplates set on each door.

Castiel's door was one of the four, his nameplate black with wings extending out each side and his name set in silver across the middle. Lucifer's looked scorched, charcoal black with red streaks running through it and his name written in ice blue.

Balthazar's nameplate was gold, and it looked like someone (no doubt a drunk Balthy) had messily scribbled random drawings and words across it.

Finally, Gabriel's door. The nameplate was covered in drawings of sweets and old wrappers stuck along the top. Sam was pretty sure the nameplate was pink, but it was hard to tell.

"You wanna come in and watch something on my laptop?" Gabe asks, suddenly shy.

Sam nods quietly, following Gabe inside his room. He could hear Cas and Dean heading up the stairs, Dean was trying to explain classic rock to Cas.

The inside of Gabriel's room was a lot like how you'd expect. There were lolly wrappers cluttering the desk, the waste basket was overflowing with these wrappers too. His bed was actually neat, a tardis duvet cover on top.

As Gabe grabs his laptop and loads it up, Sam let his eyes trail over the fandom posters, the corkboard full of photos Gabe had taken over the years. Sam steps closer, smiling as he looks at the photos.

There was a photo of Gabriel that looked like it had been taken a few years before, this Gabe looking younger and, if it were possible, shorter.

Then there were a few photos of Gabe's pranks over the years. There was a photo of Cas covered in slims. Lucifer tangled up in rainbow nets, his eyes glaring at the camera.

Sam let out an amused huff, before his eyes fall upon a small cluster of photos pinned in one corner. They were photos from the weekend at the cabin. There was the one Charlie had taken of the chaotic kitchen, one of the entire group in the water laughing and finally, one of Sam.

In the photo, Sam was smiling softly, his eyes gazing out over the lake. Sam studied this photo, taking in how peaceful and happy he looks in it. He wondered if this was taken while he'd been deep in though over his feelings for Gabe.

Speaking of, Gabe was sitting cross legged on the bed, watching Sam look at all the photos. Eventually, Sam tore his eyes from the board and moves over to sit by Gabriel. He looks at the computer screen to see season one of Sherlock loaded.

"Is this okay? I know you're a fan so I thought that maybe..."

Sam wraps an arm around Gabriel's smaller shoulders, grinning at his frie- boyfriend. "Its fine Gabe, I'd love to watch Sherlock."

So for the next hour and a bit, Sam and Gabe sat with their sides pressed against one another while watching Sherlock. Eventually, Gabe decided that he was hungry and dragged Sam out of the room. On the way down the hallway, he suddenly freezes and backs up so he's in front of Castiel's room. Sam furrows his brows, buts follows his lead as he peeks in through the half open door.

Cas and Dean had obviously been watching something on Cas's laptop, and had fallen asleep side by side on the bed. Castiel's head was resting on Dean's shoulder and it was then that Sabriel realised that they had been given the perfect chance to set operation Destiel into action. With a prank of course.

So while Sam snapped a photo and stood guard at the door, Gabriel quietly darted back to his room to get the supplies. Soon enough he was back with face paint, post it notes and rope. Sniggering, they get to work.

First, they roll Cas onto Dean, with Sam's promise that Dean was a deep sleeper. Then, Gabe did the tricky job of tying the two together while Sam got to work plastering sticky notes with the rainbows they'd drawn on them the night at the lakehouse all over one of Cas's walls. Then, using green sticky notes, he spells out the words gay for destiel across this wall.

Then he grabs the paints and got to work writing, in rainbow letters, 'Cas's bitch' on Dean's forehead and 'Dean's lover' across Cas's.

Happy with their work, they sneak out of the room, stopping only to snap a picture and place a couple of raw eggs in the doorway to slow down the soon to be angry boys when they got out of their bindings.

Brushing their hands off, they finally went down to get food... Only to see Michifer asleep on the couch, Michael somehow lying on top of Lucifer. Sam and Gabe smirked at each other, before grabbing more supplies.

This time, they used duct tape instead of rope. And carefully painted rainbows on the sleeping boys foreheads. Then, they paused, wanting to make this the best prank to start operation Michifer with. And maybe, just maybe a certain cage came to mind, but that'll have to happen later.

After planting pranks and eating the food they had originally set out for, the boys head back up to Gabe's room to wait for their brothers (and cousin) to wake up.

To pass the time, they watched another episode of Sherlock. They almost got through the entire episode when a shriek filled the air.
"Gabriel!" Cas cries out in annoyance.
Gabe smirks at Sam, grabbing his hand and pulling him over to his brother's door.

The two peek in, shit eating grins on their faces as they see Cas and Dean wriggling in their bindings. Gabriel smirks, snickering as he shoves a lollipop into his mouth as he stops beside their tied up brothers. Sam follows suit, without the sweet and looks down at his confused and pissed brother.

"Hallo there Dean, you look like you're having fun," Sam chuckles. "And apparently, you're defiantly gay, and 'Cas's bitch'.... Good to finally know," he smirks.

Dean glares at him, "what the hell is going on?"

Sam just grinned and started recording the scene on his phone.
Dean grumbles under his breath, straining uselessly against the rope. Cas blushes as their noses blush and the two freeze, Sam and Gabe both grin knowingly.

Then, Michifer came in the room, still stuck together with duct tape, but managing to hop along awkwardly. Sam would of paid to see them getting up the stairs. Of course, then he saw Lucifer's angry expression and backed up a bit.

Gabe, however, giggled the moment he saw the furious Luci with a rainbow painted on his face. Then, Lucifer and Michael failed to dodge the eggs sitting in the doorway and the sound of eggshells crunching is followed by a string of swear words as their feet was covered by raw egg yolks.

"God dammit Gabe!" Lucifer growls as they trip over and land heavily.
Gabe meets Sam's eyes and nods with a grin, then they reach into their pockets, pulling out small bags.

Then, they start chucking rainbow confetti on both Destiel and Michifer. Sam laughed, watching his cousin trying to wriggle out of the bindings without moving against Lucifer in anyway that would create... awkwardness. Dean seemed to be in a similar situation with Cas.

"Embrace the rainbow guys," Sam snorts.

"I'll shove your rainbow down your cake hole," Dean growls.

"Well Samantha, I think that's our cue to make like a tree and leave," Gabriel said.

Despite his position, Cas still tilted his head with a confused frown. "I don't understand that saying."

By now, Dean had one arm slipped out of the ropes and was getting closer to escaping. So Sam and Gabe grab each others hands and run out of the room.

They run down the stairs, hands still clasped together as they dash outside. Gabe pulls them into the backyard, grinning as Sam pulls him to a stop under the tree. Sam looks down at Gabe, whose hair was glowing golden in the evening sun, a spark glinting in his beautiful sunlit whisky eyes.

Gabe too had been watching the way that the sun played across Sam's own features, shining in his hazel eyes and making them shine different shades.

That was when the moment turned magical when, as if it were a romance novel, petals fell around them. Sam leans in, bending slightly as Gabe leans up, cupping the back of Sam's neck. Their lips were only inches apart, breath mingling in the warm evening air.

The moment their lip connect, both boys felt sparks tingle down their spines. Sam runs his hands down Gabe's sides and being them to a rest on Gabe's hips. Sam's lips melded against Gabriel's soft, yet slightly chapped lips, the kiss becoming slow and passionate.

Of course, if they had looked up they would have seen the only thing providing the romantic flowers was Adamandriel sitting up in the tree in a state somewhere between giggling and surprise.

But they didn't see the younger teens, so in that magical moment, it really felt like something out of a romance novel.

Sam smiled into the kiss, pulling Gabe closer. It was, he felt, a magical moment. Until he feels something pelting against him. Jumping back, Sam looks up to see Luci, Michael and Balthy throwing skittles at them and shouting about the rainbow.

Gabe groans, "my family are mental, why can't we be normal?"

Sam chuckles, "because, normal is boring."

And with  that, Gabriel hops on Sam's back and the majestic moose started to run down the street. Then, followed by a rainbow tail (which may have been rainbow skittles) Sabriel ran out of view. No one back at the house could be sure of where the two tricksters had gone, knowing only that this wasn't over.

(They went to the local candy ship if you are curious) (*shop, but that ship is too much of an awesome typo to change)

~~Later that night~~

Sam and Gabe returned to the Novak's house after nearly two hours of eating candy, icecream and then running around the local park on a sugar high. Well, Gabe did, Sam just spent the time laughing at his hyperactive boyfriend and trying to keep him out of trouble.

Once they got back, everyone seemed to agree not to speak about the pranks, but that didn't mean they weren't all planning new ones to pull on one another. Lucifer hadn't actually bothered to wipe his rainbow off his face, but the others had obviously scrubbed their faces clean.

The group of friends decided to play monopoly, Balthazar and Samandriel decided to watch this to see if would evolve into the big, yet extremely funny, mistake they thought it would.

Sure enough, after two games, Dean and Lucifer both seemed to have had enough. That was probably because Sam had just brought one entire strip of the board, putting motels on all the places and making it almost impossible to not lose money going down there.

"Alright! That's it I'm done," Lucifer throws the last of his money down as he goes bankrupt. "Goodnight losers," he shuffles out of the room. Then he returns moments later as he realised he wanted to see how this ended.

Gabe giggles, he may still be on a sugar high, and pats Sam's knee.
"You wouldn't take all my money would you?"

Sam looked down to see Gabe had landed on his most expensive hotel and smiled.
"Well..... Rules are rules Gabey, pay up."

Gabe pouted as he went bankrupt as well, as sits there silently with his arms crossed and a pout still on his face. But several moments later, he gave up and ended up curled in against Sam's side to watch the final three, Mikey, Sam and Dean battle it out.

Sam wraps an arm around him, holding him close as he plays, a small, fond smile on his face whenever he glanced  down at his now sleepy boyfriend.

Cas and Lucifer sat perched on the couch with popcorn, betting on who was going to win. And in that moment, everything was perfect. No one was sad or worrying about  angry father's as they all smile and laugh. In that moment, it felt like nothing bad could ever touch them, it was peaceful. Of course, they had no clue that it was following moments like this that their happiness could be shattered by a terrible event. But they didn't know the pain coming, so for now they were happy.
*evil laughter*
(Oh, and Sam won that game too.)

A/N:

Hey guys!
So as you may or may not be able to tell, I'm not exactly good at any kind of romance or kissing scenes haha, but I hope it was bearable to read and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

I'm hoping to start moving the plot along more now, but it may be a bit longer between updates (probably a week apart) because I'm working on finishing another non-fanfic book and after I've done all my writing for the day on that my parents say I should take a break from my laptop which means I have to write the majority of this on my  phone 😑

cutesuki2 and clarinetily here's something for you guys to give to Luci, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~, this should appease him 😆

Also, thank you all so much for your votes and comments, reading your comments really brightens up my days😃 You guys are amazing!
*showers rainbows and hands out sweets and cake* 🌈🌈🌈🍩🍭🍬🎂
