Section 1.4: Tips

-Save always, save often. There are no penalties or counters for saves so

don't be afraid to.

-If you can't beat a boss try just leveling some. It doesn't take that long

and really helps

-If stuck on a quest go to your menu and go to the quest tab. When there

click on the quest and most of the time it will explain everything to you.

-Problems with a dungeon puzzle or trying to find an entrance or chest press

0 to check the map. Everything you need will be colored blue.

-Don't forget you can power up weapons and armor by refining. It won't show

up on the item stat screen but if you check your personal stats before and

after you will see.

-Orbs are nice at times too. Really only a few have very useful effects. But

they do help.

-Taking advantage of the elements has great results especially at higher

levels. Water to Fire, Earth to Water, Fire to Earth.

-At the Guardian select screen I recommend Water and Earth. Water you use at

the first temple, Earth you use at the second. You don't need Fire until the

last.

Section 1.5: Leveling

Really it's not hard to level high enough to have an easy time through the

game. Compared to most rpg's it takes quite a while. Normally just a straight

run through the game I'll end around level 42.

Now for my personal preference I like to be around level 20 and with the best

weapon you can buy before beating the Fire Temple. By then you should be able

to complete the fire and water temples with ease and either receive better

armor drops or just save up enough money. It shouldn't take any longer then a

couple hours to level that high.

[1st]

This recquires a lot of potions, maybe 20 or 30 wines, the weakest weapon and

strongest weapon you can buy. Find a good sized area with at least 2 or 3 Nord

spawns in close proximity. Equip your weakest weapon and the water element.

Now starting hacking away at them with combos(combos are the most effective in

getting them to multiply). After you have enough of them on screen for your

liking switch to your strongest weapon(and maybe earth element if you're weak)

and just start killing them. After you've cleared the room they will all start

to respawn(including the split ones). So just stand around and keeping hacking

and slashing and healing as needed. It may take a while but you don't have to

move anywhere else and normally they respawn at a nice rate so there's little

to no down time. Just don't run out of potions!!

[2nd]

If you're a hard core gamer and want to attain a high level with the greatest

weapons then you're best bet for leveling is waiting till the Forgotten Temple

and just grind the Stone Golems. They offer the best experience with the

quickest availability. There are 5 in the room just stock up on potions(hp and

sp) and equip your fire guardian. Go in unleash a spell and just start comboing

away healing as needed. Once they are finished exit, then re enter, then repeat.

I am currently at level 56 and it takes me 15 to 30 minutes to gain 1 level.

I'm not sure yet how high the levels go but just be warned it's a long grind

to the top.

Boss Attacks: He has 3 attacks, in order he starts out teleporting around the

and do a flame attack that goes out like a cross, then staying in the

same spot he does a major flame attack which unless you are within 1 or 2

After the last one he pauses for a second and that's your opening.

best place to level and mine mithrils and 2 unidentified items(Hero's Shield

and Grim Ripper, look in tips section). By now you should be high enough level

exit just leads to a potion. Grab the Key and head through the north to the

Items: High Potion Recipe, Steel Helmet, Antidote, 1200g, Necklace(locked

chest, gift quest), Emerald

Head to the west exit to the Northern Central Mountains. From here go west

again to the East of Lake Locus. Last of all go west to Lake Locus and onto

the Temple of Water.

2.3j Temple of Water

[1st Floor]

Items: Mithril, 3 Blue Bricks, 3 Levers, 1000g, Mithril

In here head to the east side and grab the Blue Brick from the chest.

Head back towards the middle to the 3 pillars and insert it to the middle

pillar. Go back east again across the newly formed bridges and grab the Broken

Lever and another Blue Brick. This one goes in the middle pillar too. Now to

the west side and obtain the last Blue Brick and 2 more Levers. Insert

the last brick into the middle pillar and continue down the stairs.

[2nd Floor]

Items: Mithril, Wine, Silver, High Potion, Ruby, Emerald.......

From here head over to the pillars and first insert all the broken handles

into each pillar. After that here are the combinations and where they lead and

what's in them(anything not listed is just a repeat of a previous one}:

1on 2off 1off - Mithril, Wine, Crowling Head, Nord Spawn

1on 2on 3off - Silver, Crowling Head, Hydra

1on 2on 3on - High Potion, Potion, Ice Golems

1off 2on 3on - Ruby, Templer Knight

1on 2off 3on - Emerald, Ice Golems, Boss Chamber

2.3k Journey to Locus

Just head east out of Lake Locus then south from there to Locus.

2.3l Locus

Items: Orb of Rage Recipe

Here just go to the public office and speak with the refiner here. Afterwards

head back north out of town.

2.3m Journey to Solum

From East of Lake Locus just keep going east until North of Morionis Forest.

Start heading towards Solum and you'll see Nigel and Greg there. Talk to them.

Note: During the questioning at Hunters Camp. Do not save when given the

chance to move around. If you do and Reload you will be stuck in

the shack. It's what happened to me lol.

2.3n Journey to Path in Central Mountains

Items:Greaves

Now you're not going to the Forgotten Temple as in the other ones. There's

Another part of the Central Mountains you haven't been able to access before.

From Hunters Camp just head west out of there then south to Solum. Now use the

gryphon and go to Basto. Head north out of town then north once more. Now

press 0 and you will see an exit to the east. Go through that and you'll be in

the Central Mountains. Go into the Mountains.

2.3o Central Mountains Bf

Items: High Potion, High Potion

I cannot stress this enough. Be Careful!!!! There are the strongest monsters

here. They have high defense, attack, and no elemental weaknesses. Most of all

be careful of the White Shadows. They are invisible and they spawn quickly

as well as hit hard. I have 61 defense with 171 attack and they

do 120hp damage. Living Chains are not a huge threat unless they gang up on

you, or you forgot to grab pots. Burning Skeletons are second worst. They hit

hard and have a good amount of defense. I recommend being at least level

40(depending on where you put your stat points). I also recommend at having at

least the best of everything you can buy. Also Do not engage the White Shadows

unless you are very confident or have a lot of potions and wines with you.

To get through here all you have to do is keep heading south. Then once you

reach the end a cutscene will induce. Once it ends you have to go back. Once

you reach the first room you'll encounter an enemy and be forced to fight Geb.

Watch the cutscenes to fill in most blanks about the story line.

Section 2.4: Boss Faq

2.4a Rocky

Attacks: He has 3 attacks, in order he starts out teleporting around the

room which if you get hit by his fire it will hurt you, next he will

stop and do a flame attack that goes out like a cross, then staying

in the same spot he does a major flame attack which unless you are

within 1 or 2 squares of him it won't affect you but is the

strongest of the attacks. After the last one he pauses for a second

and that's your opening.

1st: Wait for the opening in the attacks to do a two hit combo then move. If

you're having trouble dodging his teleports try moving southward as soon

as you see him disappear and he should appear just north of you. It's not

worth the risk to attack any other time then the opening I had said

before.

2.4b Nord

Attacks: This one has two different forms but the same basic attack.

1st form shoots 3 Ice bolts at you while moving from left

to right at the top of the screen.

The 2nd looks like a giant squid, and shoots 5 bolts but doesn't

move left to right. Instead has 2 tentacles on either side. The

left one can attack you anywhere on screen and the right one

heals all 3 of them.

1st: About the only strategy is equip your Earth element and start with the

healing tenticle. If you have it use you're Protection of Earth to help

soften the blows. If not ,especially at low levels ,he heals just too

quickly. After that either go after the side or the middle..

2.4c Geb

Attacks: He has 3 attacks and 3 sections total. He has his head, 2 hands,

and his heart(they call it Geb(hack). His attacks follow: both hands

smash but the one on the right has a close range attack and a far

away attack and alternates between the two, and the third attack his

head comes down and breathes 3 sets of rocks at you. His third

attack he does 3 times then stops for you to attack him. It's the

strongest if you touch his head as it's motioning downward. I have

found 2 strategies that work for him. On a side not his hands can

only be killed with Hestia's Fire Shield ability. It takes a while

and doesn't give any experience but they can be killed.

1st: If you have plenty of money stock up on tons of health potions. When you

get to the boss wait for him to do his head attack. When he stops just go

up to him and continue to unleash combos. Once he rears his head back to

start the attack again start hitting the potion button till he knocks you

back. If you fail to hit it he will probably kill you. Then just repeat

the attacks.

2nd: If you don't have the money or don't want to waste it on that just follow

this one. Buy at least 50 health potions(you will need some regardless)

then head back. You stand just a little outside his reach, not too far or

you'll lose out on some attacks, and wait for his head to stop attacking.

Go up to him and use your strongest fire spell then hit him 3 or 4 times

then run back. If your quick you can get off a whole combo but be careful.

Then just repeat the process. When your strong spell is recharging then

just use the one before it. It takes a little bit of time but is the

safest.

After you beat his head it drops to the ground and you have to enter his

head. Once inside there's a glowing orb in the middle and 4 Geb Spawns

around it. Don't worry about them just run up to the middle and use your

strongest fire spell and start hacking away with your combos. Keep an eye

on your health and alternate between attacks and spells until it's dead.

Section 3: Quests

The Main quests are the ones you complete to continue on with the story and

Boss

*Poisonous(chance of Poisoning when attacking)

**Invisible monster, have to run into it

***Able to multiply if hit multiple times but not killed. If you talk to

one person in Solum they mention a monster that splits if not killed in one

hit. I think they are referring to them. Going to double check the other

spawn monsters as well.

(to get this to work equip a weapon you can combo with but not kill them

I had a short sword with water element equip. Find a place with 2 or 3

in proximity to themselves and just start hacking away. Make sure you have

plenty of wines and potions with you, seems you need to combo for it to be

really effective. As you combo for so long more will start to appear. I've

counted up to 15 at one time on screen. Best part is that after they split

they act as normal respawn monsters so all of them will respawn after so

long.)

Section 6: Equipment and Items

I will update this as I find more. From what I can tell there is a dull and

strong version of almost every weapon. Also the weapons dropped by monsters

have stat raising abilities. It's pretty much luck of the draw which stats

you receive. Only the unidentified items come with orb abilities.

TIP: Equipment and weapons also sell for 20% of what you bought it for.

7.2 Refining

Refining does increase attack/defense. It will however not show up on it's

stats page but will effect your personal stats.

7.2a Weapons

Weapons refine in a 3, 2, 3 series. First upgrade adds 3 to attack, second

adds 2, third adds 3, fourth adds 2 and so on. On another note refining does

not add to sp usage. So you can level up freely without fear of using more sp

per attack.

7.2b Armor

[Armor]

Armor goes up by 2 defense per level every level.

[Shields]

Shields on the other hand only go up by 1.

Section 7.3: Weapons vs. Sp Usage

There are two types of attacks I've measured so far, weak and strong. I have

the weak figured out but still working on the strong and combo effects. I do

have most strong attacks so I will list what I have as well. I haven't been

able to figure out a pattern though.

Weak attacks use 1 more sp per 4 attack strengths. The weak sp will be listed

first and strong second.
