{My Hero Academia} Rise Up
Hailey chuckled at her classmates' behaviour, almost everyone jumping at the chance to be the class representative.
'Although I'm happy to do some normal school stuff, what's the point? Not like this student council will have dances or anything other than the cultural festival.' She thought, amusing herself with writing her name in a cursive fashion on the top of her lined paper. 'Who would even be a good choice for class rep? Some of these guys don't understand the responsibilities of doing this sort of stuff.'
"You guys." Hailey shouted, sternly. She got everyone's attention and the yelling was supressed. "I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but how many of you are actually ready for the leadership and responsibilities of being a class rep? Trust me on this that it's not something that anyone can do."
"Roselle makes a good point, she was actually the president of her previous school's student council. She speaks from experience." Mr Aizawa pointed out.
"Yes! The class rep must have the respect and trust of their classmates in order to preserve as a true leader! I say that we hold an election to choose our leader!" Iida declared in a serious tone.
'Look's like someone's already got my vote.' Hailey smirked.
Then the others began to question how to decide if they had only known each other for a few days.
Mr Aizawa didn't care, he just wanted it to be over with before his nap was over.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the results were determined, Midoriya was shocked to have gotten three votes, tying with Hailey, who felt hesitant.
'I mean, I feel happy that people think of me as a leader, but am I really cut out for this? Shit, maybe Yaoyarozu can take my place.'
"I only got..one vote..?" Iida muttered to himself.
"Looks like our Rep is either, Midoriya or Roselle." Aizawa stated.
"Actually, sir." Hailey piped up, "I don't think I'm up for this yet, I mean sure, I've got experience, but in reality, more people need the experience than I do. Maybe next year?"
"Huh? You don't wanna be class rep?" Midoriya stammered.
"Not yet, I appreciate the votes, but it wouldn't be fair to everyone if my heart wasn't in it." She answered with a smile.
"Alright then, it looks like Midoriya is our Class Rep and since Yaoyorozu had the next highest amount of votes, is our deputy." Mr Aizawa concluded.
"A-are you sure this isn't a mistake?" Midoriya stuttered nervously.
"I can get behind this." Kirishima approved.
Though Hailey felt the same, noticed Iida's almost seething form.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I still can't believe you turned down the Class Rep thing." Kaminari commented as he chewed his food.
"Yeah, you were one of the only people who technically had the most to offer." Sero added.
"Thanks guys, but I've been thinking that I shouldn't bite off more than I can chew with my first year here. I wanna be comfortable here, be sure of myself before taking leadership over our class. It would feel like I'm lying to everyone if I did it because someone told me to. Maybe next year." Hailey smiled.
"See? Matureness!" Kaminari exclaimed.
Hailey giggled, "I get that from hanging around my mom too much. She's running her own agency and I guess she's kind of rubbed off on me." She said, sheepishly.
"What kind of agency does she run?" Kirishima inquired.
"Oh just a hero recruitment and costume, plus support item designing." She answered.
"That's really cool! What's it-' Before anymore questions could be asked, an alarm began blaring through the school.
"What the?!" Hailey stood up.
"Warning. Level Three Security Breach. All Students Evacuate In An Orderly Fashion."
"A security breach? Is it a villain or just one of those noisy paparazzi?" Hailey questioned, none too impressed.
Then all chaos ensued.
Hoards of students were shoving through the halls, but were not making any distance.
"Jesus, what a mob." Hailey cursed.
"What should we do?" Kirishima grunted as he felt elbows hitting him.
Hailey thought for a moment, before Kirishima and Kaminari were carried away with the current of students.
'Shit!' Hailey panicked, then noticed Iida attempting to reach for them.
'I can't use either of my quirks to help diffuse the situation..no teachers in sight.. but then again..' Hailey then looked at Iida and got herself an idea. 'Maybe it doesn't have to be me..'
"Iida! Get some high ground to catch everyone's attention!' She yelled loudly at her classmate.
Iida looked at Hailey and nodded after considering her idea. Iida pressed towards Ochako and was able to touch her fingertips. In doing so, he went into the air and used his quirk to get above the ground and hold himself onto a ledge above the exit door.
"Listen up, everything is okay!" He shouted, his voice at a booming volume. "It's just the media outside. There's absolutely nothing to worry about! Everything's fine! We're U.A. students. We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!"
Hailey smiled, looking at her classmate in awe. She was impressed that he was able to control the situation and reassure not only his class, but the whole school.
When things settled down, the students were back in their classroom. Midoriya and Yaoyorozu stood before the class to address certain things.
"W-we need to assign cl-class officers!" Midoriya sputtered nervously, "But first, there's something that I wanna say. I've thought a lot about this, and I think that Tenya Iida should be our class rep!" He exclaimed.
This caught many of the students by surprise, but after today's events, it was clear that Iida was the perfect fit for the job.
Iida humbly accepted.
Turning to him, Hailey gave him a thumbs up. "That's why I voted for ya, Iida." She said, "If anyone's going to keep us in check, it'll for sure be you."
"Thank you everyone!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"How come you didn't take it?!" Yuri exclaimed from one of the split screens on Hailey's laptop.
Hailey rolled her eyes as she dabbed some ointment onto her forearms. "Because, Yura, I want to be comfortable before jumping into the deep end of the pool. I wanna know how to swim before taking that sort of leap."
"Although you do have a point, it would have been really cool if you were the Class Rep." Luka shrugged and continued to strum a tune on his guitar. "Was training tough today?" He asked, noticing the bruises.
"Nah, just some U.A. students who don't know how to be aware of their surroundings during a security breach." Hailey huffed.
"Oh yeah, saw that in the news." Yuri commented.
"Fucking paparazzi, I tell ya." Hailey grumbled and set the ointment bottle on her dresser. "We were lucky that it wasn't a villain attack..even though.." She hesitated.
"Even though what, Hails?" Luka questioned, setting down his guitar.
Hailey chewed the inside of her cheek, "No sane paparazzi would be dumb enough to come into U.A. with a tight security system, not unless they have a strong quirk. I saw the pictures of the wall being damaged."
"Hm.. maybe it's just a reporter with some corrosive quirk why really wanted a story on All Might?" Luka suggested.
"Who knows.." Hailey sighed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Today's training will be a little different." Mr Aizawa explained the next day in class. "You'll have three instructors; me, All Might and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you.
Some of the students gasped and murmured their thoughts.
"Sir what kind of training is this?" Sero questioned loudly.
Their teacher then held up a card that read 'rescue' on it. Hailey's expression and eye lit up in excitement.
"Rescue, where you'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that." He answered.
"Sounds like we're in for a workout." Kaminari remarked.
"Oh, this is my jam, I'm pumped up!" Hailey exclaimed.
"Real hero stuff. This is what separates the men from the boys." Kirishima told Kaminari.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Mr Aizawa said, his usual unimpressed look catching his students' attention. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes, but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet and they might limit your abilities. This facility is off campus, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all, start getting ready."
The students didn't waste time getting up to get ready.
'The best way to tell what my costume limits is by using it in training, so I guess I'll wear that.' Hailey decided as she grabbed the case that contain her hero costume.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting at the bus for everyone, Hailey looked at her classmates, not sure who she would like to sit with.
She then noticed Midoriya walk out in his P.E. clothes with some accessories from his hero costume.
"Hey Midi." She greeted and approached him.
"Oh h-hey Roselle- I mean Hailey- I mean!" Midoriya stammered in confusion.
Hailey giggled, "No worries, just call me whichever you're comfortable with." She assured.
"Sorry." Midoriya sighed.
"Seriously, don't worry." She smiled, "Sorry again that you had to send your costume in. I'm gonna miss the bunny ears."
Midoriya's face flushed, "Th-that's okay, it wa-wasn't your fault!"
Then Iida blew a whistle loudly to catch his classmates' attention.
"Gather around, Class 1-A!" He instructed, loudly. "Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently."
"Iida's kicking it to high gear as our class rep, huh?" Midoriya commented.
"At least he's embracing it." Hailey remarked, amused. "Even though nobody is actually going to do that."
Then the students began loading the bus, finding their own spots to sit. Hailey finding her seat beside Iida and across from Sato and Midoriya.
As the bus began moving, Iida sulked about how the bus' open layout ruining his boarding strategy.
"Trial and error, Iida." Hailey attempted to reassure him, "That's how you become a good leader and hero."
Iida groaned in response.
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say.. about you actually." Asui piped in, turning to Midoriya.
"About me? What is it, Asui?" Midoriya questioned.
"I told you to call me 'Tsu'." Asui corrected him, but continued, "That power of yours, isn't it a lot like All Might's?"
"What? Really? You think so, huh?" Midoriya yelped. "I never really thought about that. I guess it is pretty similar."
"Well.." Hailey pondered out loud, "All Might's quirk doesn't hurt him, right? Even though they are both strength quirks, that's a major difference."
"Either way, I think it's really cool to have a simple augmenting type a' quirk." Kirishima commented. "You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it. My hardening is super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive." Kirishima hardened his arm to show his classmates.
"I think it looks cool, Kiri." Hailey complimented.
"Yeah it's really awesome looking! You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that." Midoriya added.
"You really think so? Seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had somethin' flashier." Kirishima replied, sheepishly.
"My navel laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength." Aoyama chimed in.
Mina put her hand on the sparkly boy's shoulder, "But it's way lame if it gives you a stomachache, sweetie." She remarked.
"Well if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's Roslle, Todoroki and Bakugou." Kirishima grinned.
"Pfft, what? Me?" Hailey questioned, not buying it.
"Yeah sure, you've got the best quirks for infiltrating enemy bases!" Kirishima replied.
Hailey shrugged, "I'll take it, but honestly, Bakugou and Todoroki got the flashiest and most powerful from what I've seen."
"Sure, but Bakugou's always angry, so he'll never be that popular." Asui chided.
Bakugou grunted and stood up, "What'd you say!? I'll kick your ass!" He fumed.
"You see?" Asui asked, not acknowledging Bakugou and proving her point.
"Boom, roasted." Hailey said in a Steve Carrel voice.
Some of the students laughed.
"Y'know, we basically just met you. So it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari shrugged, sounding suave with his insult.
"Ooh we're really going in with this. Double roasted, shots are fired." Hailey announced.
"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school you loser! I'll kill you!" Bakugou threatened.
"Really Bakugou?" Hailey then changed her humorous attitude to put his classmate into his place. "You're just proving how right they are about you. Some of it may be insult, but some of it is criticism."
"Oh what do you know?" Bakugou brushed her off.
"A lot more than you do, apparently." Hailey sighed and decided that he wasn't in any state where he'd listen.
"Hey, hey, we're here. Stop messing around." Mr Aizawa told his students.
"Yes, sir."
"Whatever." Bakugou huffed.
As the bus stopped and the students unloaded, they were met with the Pro Hero, Thirteen, herself suited up like an astronaut.
"Hello everyone, I've been waiting for you." She greeted, happily.
Some of the students were in awe that they were meeting her.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen exclaimed and led the students inside the large dome building.
Walking in, everyone's awe was amplified. The facility had different areas, but spread out enough to look like facilities within a facility.
"That's so cool." Hailey breathed.
"It almost looks like an amusement park!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Yeah, welcome to Hero Training Land." Hailey remarked and the two snickered.
"A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, et cetera! I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!" Thirteen explained, pridefully. "But you can call it the USJ!"
"So like Universal Studios Japan." Some of the students deadpanned.
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already?" Mr Aizawa speculated, "Lemme guess, he booked an interview instead."
"My friends from back home were texting me about him doing hero work before coming to school." Hailey muttered to Kirishima.
"Oh man, he's a real busy guy." Kirishima sighed.
Mr Aizawa turned to his students after finishing the little side conversation with Thirteen, "Clock's ticking, we should get started." He then stood to the side and allowed Thirteen to take the spotlight.
"Excellent! Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things- possibly three, four or five." Thirteen babbled.
"We get it!" The students deadpanned.
'Oh my god, I love her.' Hailey thought in amusement.
"Listen carefully, I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called 'Black Hole'. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust." Thirteen began.
"Oh that's right! You've used your quirk to save many people before!" Midoriya exclaimed, Uraraka nodding excitedly beside him.
"Although that is true, my quirk could very well be used to kill." Thirteen warned. "Some of you also have powers that can be very dangerous."
She then emphasizes on how aware the students would have to be of the damage their quirks could bring.
'I feel like this is aimed at Bakugou, not gonna lie.'
As Thirteen concluded her speech and the students were pumped up, Mr Aizawa was ready to begin.
Then the power began to flicker and a some sort of portal was opened, catching everyone's attention.
As someone began to exit through the portal, Mr Aizawa's relaxed and annoyed demeanour changed to one of hero-mode.
"Everyone stay together and don't move!" He instructed, "Thirteen, protect the students!"
"Those are villains.." Hailey breathed.
'Fuck my ass, I am not ready!'
Mr Aizawa yelled at his students to stay back as some of them wanted a closer look.
"Don't move! Those are real villains, this isn't a training exercise anymore." Mr Aizawa said as he put on his goggles.
Taking in a breath, Hailey tapped the button on her visor.
"Mr Aizawa, there's a lot of them." She told him, as more walked through the portal.
'Ha, ha, we're in danger.' Hailey thought in a panic.
"Did they sneak in under the cover of the press?" She pondered out loud.
"Stay back, Roselle!" Mr Aizawa barked, recognizing how much she wanted to help.
She bit her lip and backed away, she didn't even realize her body being ready to fight.
"What a shame, we're only here for the Symbol of Peace. Maybe he'll come out to play if we kill a couple kids." The leader of the group sneered.
Mr Aizawa's binding cloth expanded as he was ready to fight.
"How could this many villains get into a security place like U.A.?" Kirishima questioned.
"Yeah, Thirteen, how come none of the alarms are going off?" Yaoyorozu questioned.
Thirteen answered, sounding troubled, "I'm not entirely sure."
"Is the entire campus under attack? Or is this their only target?" Todoroki inquired. "Either way, if the alarm systems aren't being triggered, then one of these villains might have a quirk that's masking their presence here. They carefully selected this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught. They're fools for trespassing here, but they thought this out. They must have an objective in mind..what is it?'
"Take a guess, this is the first year that All Might is teaching here, leading up to a lot of out of the ordinary things to happen here." Hailey predicted.
"Thirteen, get them out of here and alert the main campus." Mr Aizawa told Thirteen, "Actually, if they have the ability to block our sensors, then they might be jamming our regular communications too. Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school."
"Yes, sir."
"What're you gonna do?!" Midoriya cried, "You can't fight them on your own! Even if your quirk can nullify theirs, your fighting style isn't suited for this."
"You can't be a pro with only one trick." Mr Aizawa answered. "I'll leave it to you, Thirteen."
Then Mr Aizawa took action, quickly taking down three villains at once with his quirk and binding cloth.
"Mr Aizawa's got this, he isn't a pro hero for nothing." Hailey commented, watching as he took out more.
'Fuck yeah, that is the coolest person in the world.'
Hailey and Midoriya didn't realize the rest of the class rushing out.
"This is no time to be analyzing! We have to go" Iida called to them.
They nodded and followed suit, but before reaching the exit, were blocked off by the warping villain.
"There is no escape for you." He declared. "It's a pleasure to meet you, we are the League of Villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of justice to say hello."
'Fuck, the one time that old man's quirk would be useful.' Hailey cursed in her head.
Then the villain told the students that they planned to kill All Might this very day.
"Yeah, well go to hell!" Hailey shouted, feeling protective of her classmates and teachers. "This is a place where we train to kick your asses." She then bumped her clenched hands together to show two transparent rings of wavelength boosts ready for her use. "So, you wanna try that again?" She asked, confidently.
Before Thirteen could counter the villain, Bakugou and Kirishima jumped in and attacked the warp villain.
"Yeah, did you really think that we were just gonna stand around and let you tear this place to shreds?" Kirishima smirked, as the smoke cleared from Bakugou's explosion.
"You live up tp your school's reputation." The villain sneered, barely visible. "But you should be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt."
"You two, get out of the way!" Thirteen ordered at Kirishima and Bakugou.
"I'll scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades and your deaths!" The warp villain declared, covering all of the students in his shadowy essence.
"Crap! What is this?!" Kirishima grunted.
Students grunted and yelped as they were separated.
Suddenly, Hailey felt herself in the air, she was able to quickly assess that she was about to land on the landslide terrain. Gaining control of her form, she flipped and expelled a large echo wavelength to see how many villains she would face.
'Three? On this side, I'll handle them first.' Hailey thought and reacted quickly as one of the villains threw some sort of spear at her. Due to her fast reflexes, she grabbed one and glared at the villain, her eyes glowing a bright turquoise.
"I think you lost something." She said and although her threatening gaze intimidated the villain, he threw multiple at her.
Hailey lunged her right foot to the ground and pressed her weight to that foot. As she released a wavelength boost, she jumped into the air, spinning in a makeshift skating axel and flipped to the ground, avoiding the spears. Hailey then noticed that Todoroki had ended up in the area as her.
Then the three villains jumped out to attack Hailey, but she was starting to get annoyed.
"You guys have shit timing." She grumbled and dodged a villain attempt to punch her. "I was really looking forward to rescue training." She then jumped over another villain, who ran into another.
"Hey Todoroki!" Hailey called, seeing her classmate no longer occupied. "You think you can help cool these guys down?!"
Todoroki turned and was quick to cover the selected area in another sheet of ice. Hailey was able to jump out of the way.
But she only noticed the two were now encased in ice.
"Where's the other guy?" She muttered, but as she quickly turned to see him falling from the air, ready to attack.
"Roselle-" Todoroki noticed and readied himself to jump and help, but was caught by surprise when Hailey's right forearm had two rings of wavelength boosts. Hailey winded back and aimed her fist. Then Hailey punched the villain in the chest and was able to send him a great distance back.
"Is it too cocky to say that that was pretty pathetic of them?" She asked her classmate.
"No, they should feel embarrassed that they were beaten by children." Todoroki replied.
Hailey then stood beside him to see where the majority of the villains were. She noticed the guy she hit had made it over to where the leader was and were Mr Aizawa was surrounded.
"Thanks for the assist." She thanked Todoroki.
But he didn't respond, he was assessing what to do next.
"Should we help some of our other classmates?" Hailey inquired. "I don't like leaving them surrounded, even though we all have each other."
"They were woefully unprepared, I doubt they had any training. They don't have the slightest idea of how to use their quirks." Todoroki answered. "A majority of these villains are low level thugs, there are only four of them that we should be worried about."
"I see, Thirteen and Mr Aizawa have to handle those ones. That's probably why they underestimated us." Hailey nodded, "Probably kill some of us students and teachers, while holding the rest hostage to get All Might to surrender, so they can kill him."
"That's my theory as well, but we'll need more information before acting." Todoroki decided and turned to the villains that he trapped in ice. "Listen well; if you stay frozen, your cells will slowly divas your body succumbs to frostbite and hypothermia."
Hailey gave him a surprised look, 'Jeez, I never realized how scary and cool his quirk is.'
"Luckily for you, I wanna be a hero. So I'd like to avoid any unnecessary cruelty." Todoroki threatened, as he approached a villain with tears in his eyes, ice could be heard crushing under Todoroki's weight, making him all the more intimidating. "But I can only do that if you tell me how you plan to kill All Might. That's the only way you'll survive." Todoroki's hand expelled frost right over the villain's face, making the villain panic.
'Thank god I am not a villain.' Hailey thought. She then decided to help Todoroki's act.
"You're going too easy on them, perhaps they'll be more inclined to talk if we start kicking off limbs." She smirked, having her eyes glow to add the illusion, "You know they'll just come off when completely frozen, but I wanna know if the rumour of your body going numb is true."
-----------------------------------------------------
Todoroki and Hailey rushed out of the landslide zone after learning the nature of the villains attack and how they were going to do so.
"I feel like you owe me some money for being right about it." Hailey teased, but kept her serious facade.
"That doesn't matter right now- now that All Might's here, he's going to need some help!" Todoroki responded.
They had already seen All Might's entrance and Mr Aizawa being carried away by some of the students, but now All Might was fighting against the villain that looked almost as strong as him.
"Todoroki, let's separate, so we'll help from different directions." She suggested.
Todoroki nodded and rushed over. While everyone else's attention was on Miodoriya blindly running help, Bakugou was seen pinning down the warp villain, Todoroki was able to freeze down the villain who had All Might pinned down and in a quick second, Hailey boosted herself into the air aimed her feet at the Nomu's head. Now that All Might was free, her boost attack pulled the tougher villain from the separate portals, pulling the skin from his lower torso away.
"One of your lower league thugs told us that you planned on killing All Might." Todoroki said to the villains.
As Hailey landed on the ground, she smirked at the villains with confidence, "Pretty pathetic if you ask me."
Kirishima then jumped out to attack the leader, Shigaraki as the warp villain had called him, but missed.
"Damn that was going to be cool." He cursed.
"I found your body this time, you smoky bastard." Bakugou sneered at the warp villain.
Shigaraki turned to the warp villain, "Kurogiri, how could you let this brat get the best of you?" He asked, "You got us into a real jam here."
Bakugou explained how he figured out how to attack the warp villain by aiming at his neck guard.
"Don't move or I'll blow you ass up and they'll be cleaning you up for weeks." He threatened Kurogiri as he held him down.
"Oh, that doesn't sound very heroic." Kirishima remarked in amusement.
Shigaraki muttered about how the students were making his league look like a bunch of amateurs. "Nomu." He instructed the villain, and the villain began to twitch and move from Kurogiri's warp portals. Once he stood back up, as if nothing happened, his limbs on his left had fallen off.
"I could make a joke right now, but I don't think you guys would appreciate it." Hailey commented, to mask how freaked out she was.
"How is that thing still moving? He's all messed up." Midoriya questioned.
"Stay back, everybody!" All Might ordered.
Nomu's lost limbs remained on the ground, frozen and his body regenerated new ones.
"What is this? I thought you said his quirk was shock absorption?" All Might questioned Shigaraki.
"I didn't say that was his only quirk." The villain answered, smugly. "He also has super regeneration. Nomu has been modified to take you on, even at one hundred percent of your power. He's basically a highly efficient punching bag that hits back."
Everyone quickly got their guards back up, readying themselves for anything.
"First we need to free our method of escape. Get him, Nomu." Shigaraki ordered.
"Bakugou!" Hailey was quick to yell.
But the Nomu was extremely fast, All Might's reaction to counter it was so powerful that it blew away the other four students.
When the dust cleared, Nomu was seen by Kurogiri, but Bakugou wasn't.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya gasped.
"Simmer down, he's right here." Hailey said, seeing the classmate in question sitting by them.
"Woah! That's awesome, you dodged him!" Midoriya exclaimed.
"Shut up, no I didn't you damn nerd." Bakugou glared.
"Then that must mean All Might-" Hailey gasped and saw him where Bakugou could have ended up.
"These are kids and you didn't hold back?" All Might spat, clearly not impressed.
"I didn't have much choice, he was threatening my companion." Shigaraki argued.
"Jesus what are you, in the third grade?" Hailey scoffed and flipped off the villain.
"Roselle!" Midoriya shrieked at her nonchalant behaviour.
Shigaraki then went off on a tangent about heroes having the right to violent means of doing their job.
"You're nothing but a lunatic." All Might defended, "Criminals like you; you always try and make your actions sound noble. But admit it, you're only like this because you like it. Isn't that right?"
"We've got them outnumbered." Todoroki pointed out to his classmates.
"And Kacchan found the moist guy's weakness." Midoriya added.
"These guys may act tough, but we can take them down with All Might's help.' Kirishima chimed in, activating his quirk.
"Like hell we're gonna let this man-child win this battle." Hailey declared, pushing up her arms to activate three wavelength boost rings on her forearms.
"Do not attack." All Might told the students, catching them off guard. "Get out of here."
"You would have been in trouble earlier if it weren't for me, remember? You need our help." Todoroki protested, ignoring the pro hero's warning.
"I thank you for your assistance, but this is different." All Might insisted, "It's gonna be alright, just sit back and watch a pro at work."
"But you're too hurt, you're bleeding and almost out of ti-" Midoriya voiced his concerns but stopped himself at the sight of All Might giving them the thumbs up.
"Alright bossman, you got it." Hailey nodded, "C'mon guys, the number one pro hero is before us, let's get out of his way." She told her classmates.
"Nomu, Kurogiri, kill him. I'll handle the children." Shigarki ordered his fellow villains.
Before Shigaraki could attack the students, All Might and Nomu's counteracted punch, sent almost everyone flying again.
"Shit!" Hailey grunted as she attempted to stay standing.
Waves of powerful wind kept pushing them away as All Might repetitively kept punching the Nomu.
All Might's perseverance to keep hitting the Nomu kept everyone in a state of shock.
It inspired.
And it frightened.
But with a final punch at the screaming declaration of 'Plus Ultra', All Might defeated the Nomu and won the battle. The Nomu was sent flying into the sky, literally going through the walls of the facility and out into the far off distance.
"Take that in ladies and gentleman, that's a pro hero." Hailey breathed in awe.
All Might stood up from the smoke, commenting that in his heyday, it would have taken him five hits to defeat that villain, but today it took three hundred.
"Time to surrender, villains. We all want to get this over with." All Might said, turning to the shaken villains that remained.
Shigaraki began muttering to himself and scratching his neck.
'Anxiety stress disorder.' Hailey recognized his habits, 'Maybe that explains the man-child behaviour...' She thought, pondering about the villain's character. 'All Might better be careful with this guy, he doesn't know how to properly control his stress. Hopefully his quirk doesn't become too dangerous.'
"This is intense." Bakugou commented.
"As expected, we aren't needed here anymore." Todoroki remarked.
But Midoriya looked terrified, Hailey saw that too.
"Midi, are you alright?" She asked lowly.
But she didn't get an answer.
All Might continued to challenge Shigaraki, but the villain's behaviour suddenly became erratic.
Kurogiri assured Shigaraki that All Might was now alone, weakened and still able to beat.
Then Shigaraki agreed that it wasn't over.
Some of the villains were now regaining consciousness, the students quickly turned their attention to them.
"I'm sure All Might can hold his own with those two guys." Kirishima exclaimed, hardening his arms.
"Yeah, let's make things easier on him." Hailey agreed, activating her boosts again.
"Roselle, you're reaching your limit." Todoroki pointed out, noticing her nose heavily bleeding.
"It'll be fine." She assured, wiping her nose. "Can't make a quirk stronger if you don't go beyond you limits."
Then without any hesitation or notice, Midoriya used his quirk to get between All Might and Kurogiri, aiming his fist at Kurogiri's neckguard. But the villains anticipated it and warped Shigarki's hand towards Midoriya, his quirk activated to destroy.
"Midi!' Hailey screamed in panic, of course she wasn't going to be fast enough to save him.
'Dammit- why didn't he tell me?! I could have boosted him so he'd have his legs to charge up- no! No! NO! NO!'
Luckily in that split second, a bullet went through Shigaraki's hand, causing the villain to retract his had and announce that backup was there.
"Sorry everyone, I know we're a bit late, but I got the teachers over here as fast as I could." Principal Nezu announced.
Quickly, the teachers acted in defeating the villains.
In the end, Shigaraki and Kurogiri escaped, and the horrible lesson of what true evils the heroes protected us from were.
Hailey had rushed over to Midoriya, seeing his form struggling to make any movements.
"Midi, are you alright? Nevermind, your legs are broken! You're crying, does it hurt that bad?!" Hailey panicked.
"Ah- Roselle-wait!' Midoriya sputtered.
Hailey gave him a confused look before Cementos created a large wall to separate them.
"Wh-what?! Why this?" Hailey yelped.
"For your own safety, young lady." He answered.
'What the fuck, dude.' Hailey deadpanned.
"Go join the rest of your classmates at the gate and leave the injured to us." Cementos instructed.
"Oh, okay, sorry sir. Can you just let me know when he gets better?" Hailey asked, realizing her adrenaline was beginning to run out.
"C'mon, Roselle, you look like you need to sit down." Kirishima came over to lead her away.
"If I sit down, I'm gonna throw up." Hailey deadpanned, "My heart rate is at one hundred and fifty, that's more than anxiety attack mode."
"Uh, let's just cool down. You'll probably feel better after." Kirishima suggested and they met up with Todoroki and Bakugou to meet with the rest of their class.

"I threw up."
"Pfft- that's all you have to say?!" Yuri exclaimed. "What will your mother say?!"
"Don't worry, mom gave me the whole call about it." Hailey sheepishly laughed. "It was weird, I-I knew what to do when fighting those villains.. my body just wanted to rush in and help."
"No surprise there, Hails." Luka smiled, "You've always been the heroic type, even with you realizing it."
"I thought that it was my 'mom friend' qualities." Hailey joked.
"Same shit, different pile." Yuri shrugged, leaning back on his chair.
Hailey giggled, happy to be video calling with her friends.
Then her phone dinged as she got a text message on her phone. Hailey pulled out her phone and smiled as she read her screen, recognizing the broccoli emojis surrounding Midoriya's contact name.
🥦Midi🥦
Hey, sorry I didn't get out of the nurse's office until later. I heard you were worried about me.
Roselle
No worries, Midi. I'm just glad that you're okay.
And we're friends, of course I worry about you Mr Smash My Limbs
🥦Midi🥦
Is that a new nickname?
Roselle
Just when the situation calls for it 😉
"Who are you talking to, Ms Smiley?" Yuri teased, noticing Hailey's smile.
Hailey raised an amused eyebrow, "Just one of my friends who got hurt."
"Oh, the kid who got absolutely recked?" Yuri quoted.
"Hey, no bashing my friends." Hailey defended, playfully, knowing that Yuri's comments were all harmless and in good fun.
"I'm glad you didn't get too hurt." Luka said sincerely.
"Thanks Luka, I was lucky. I got out with just the nosebleed and ears ringing." Hailey smiled.
"Looking at the tissues you had shoved up your nose a minute ago, it wasn't just a regular nosebleed, moron." Yuri scolded.
"Pffft, it's fine. Not like it'll be my first or last." Hailey brushed off.
Yuri cursed in Russian, as he crossed his arms.
"Just remember to take it easy every once in awhile." Luka reminded her and strummed on his guitar.
"Thanks guys, I appreciate it." She smiled before realizing that she had been played, "Oh you bastards! Good cop, bad copping me!"
"It's the only way you'll listen!" Yuri exclaimed.
"True, true. You got me there." Hailey chuckled.
