Chapter four: Tamed Waters.
Miriam's POV.
I sat by Cho as Tao showed Tom what to do.
If I didn't know better, I'd say Tao was mute.
"Apology accepted" said Cho out of the blue.
I looked at her "huh?"
She rolled her eyes and turned her head in order to face me.
"You're apology from yesterday is accepted"
"Oh"
And we turned back to watching the two men.
"I think Tao likes you. He never buys me anything and I'm his cousin"
"Probably because you'd take offense"
"True"
And there was silence between us again.
"Tom, bring your left fist forward when your fist touches the ground." I instructed.
"Cho, Lee is calling you over" I added once I saw Lee approaching us from behind.
Everyone that wasn't helping tom was training on the other side of the gym.
As Cho left I sighed.
Way much better.
"I see you and Cho have calmed the waters"
"Yes sensei"
He nodded in approval, his eyes twinkling with an emotion I didn't quite know.
"Enough Tao. You and Miriam may train together now."
Tao stopped what he was doing and bowed to our sensei "hai sensei".
I stood and waited for him to come here.
He rolled his eyes at me and gave in, walking over to me.
"Lazy much."
"Far from it" I assumed my fighting stance.

"So uh... About yesterday, when said you could teach me some Parkour... I meant it."
Tom caught up to me and Tao as we exited the building.
"Uhm... Okay. I usually go early in the morning after my run. I don't have time for it any other time of the day unless it's night but people might get the wrong idea so yeah."
"Okay, so I'll stop by your place at...?"
"No. We'll meet up at central park. I don't want you knowing where I live. Not even Tao knows."
"But I thought he walks you home everyday?"
"No, he accompanies me to the garage every day. There's a big difference"
"Oh. Another Korean thing?"
"No. I just like my space."
He nodded.
"Okay, I'll be there at six. That okay?"
"Yeah. Bye" and I walked away from him with Tao just as Cho rushed out to flirt with him.
Poor guy...
