He is fascinated by physics, thermal dynamics, and biology, topics that connect to his powers. He carries a deep fear of his powers going out of control, which makes him hesitant to get too close to others—though Nadia has gradually broken through his walls.

Max's abilities allow him to manipulate extreme levels of heat and cold, each with devastating potential:

Heat Manipulation:

Max can generate intense heat capable of melting steel and incinerating objects on contact. His flames can act as beams of heat or spread over a large area. Uncontrolled, this ability has the potential to trigger massive wildfires or destabilize environments. And it makes him sorta insane.

Weakness: When using his heat powers, his body temperature rises dangerously high, forcing him to alternate with his cold powers to maintain balance.

Cold Manipulation:

By absorbing ambient heat, Max can freeze entire structures, water bodies, and even sub-zero temperatures in a localized area. His freezing abilities are strong enough to immobilize people or large objects in blocks of ice. Unchecked, he can plunge entire cities into arctic conditions.

Weakness: When using his cold powers excessively, Max's extremities go numb, and frostbite forms on his body unless carefully regulated.

Thermal Absorption: Max can balance his powers by absorbing nearby heat or cold to restore his internal temperature and boost his strength.
