~Mr. Brightside~
(Hello everyone! This one shot is going to be a little different. It's going to be Guzma X Reader, but also a Plumeria X Guzma. If you read it, you'll see why. Hope you all like this one! And don't forget to request. A small message to everyone, I am sorry to everyone but, I probably won't do Guzma X OC's. It's just too hard in my opinion and I feel like not everyone enjoys X OC's. Again, sorry but I will only be doing X Readers, no OC's from now on. There is one request of an OC that I will do, but after that I will do no more Oc's.
Mr. Brightside by The Killers.)
Your p.o.v
Coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
He kissed me. It was Guzma that kissed me. I didn't kiss him. He said he loved me, he said he'd never ever leave me. He promised. But that promise was broken long ago. But that small kiss, is where it started. I grew too attached, I should have known this would end in a flash. I wasn't anything to Guzma, just a fucktoy that would kindly have sex with him whenever, wherever. But he pulled me in with those "I love you"'s and small, almost loving kisses every once and a while. He tricked me. He used me.
How did it end up like this
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
How did it end up like this?! Why did I let myself love this man?! Why did he even act like he loved me?! I asked these questions everyday, praying for answers. But there was one question I asked myself every moment of every day; Will he ever love me?
Will I ever be that person he loves more then anyone?
Will I ever be the one to him? Questions swarm my mind as tears stream down my cheeks. No, not now. I have to talk to him! I....have to set things straight. Walking into the gloomy Po Town, I sigh. "What do I have to lose?"
Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking a drag
I walk into the house, my vision becoming a black and spotty. But I took a deep breath, and sucked it up. I can't, I won't be weak now. One step felt like millions. The door the Guzma's room felt so far, yet so close. My breathing quickened, but I didn't let that stop me. Seconds felt like hours, and every breath felt like my last. Could I really do this? Could I really confront Guzma about this? My heart said yes, but my braid said no. When all else fails, trust your heart. The creaking from the old floorboards echoed throughout the almost abandoned house. I'm surprised no one has heard me yet. My legs wobbled as I inched closer to the door. Now or never, (Y/n). Now or never.
Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest
Now, he takes off her dress
Now, let me go
I took a deep breath, opening Guzma's door just a crack so I could only peak inside. My eyes scanned the room, only to find Guzma and Plumeria on the little throne, the same throne where Guzma and I shared our first kiss. His hands in her hair, her hands on his chest. They kissed roughly, but lovingly. And every movement made me sick. I could feel my throat close up as quiet sobs escaped me. Why was I crying? I knew this would have happened, I knew Guzma would hurt me like this. So why was I such a mess? I studied the way Guzma held her, the way he loved her, and it was painfully obvious that he loved her more than me, even a fool could tell.
I just can't look its killing me
And taking control
I looked away, hissing. Millions of thoughts ran through my head. I should just leave. I should ruin him, make his life hell. I should just move on. Move to another region, start a new life, with no Guzma. But the only thing I chose to do, was cry. Cry until I had nothing left. Cry until I die of dehydration. Cry until all this pain is gone. But will this pain ever be gone? That's the only answer I want. The only answer I need. Turning to Guzma and Plumeria once again, I let out a shaky, weak breath. I shouldn't ruin someone's happiness because I am unhappy. I shouldn't ruin someone's life over petty feelings. But, I have every right to ruin his life, to make him pay, to make him suffer. Yet, I don't have the guts to do it. "Plums, do ya hear anythin'?" I heard Guzma speak up. He must have finally heard me. "I didn't hear anything. Come on, let's just continue~" Guzma got up, walking towards the door.
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
Guzma saw it. He saw it all. He saw the pain in my eyes, the pain he had caused. He saw how much he fucked up, almost as if every mistake he's ever made flashed before his eyes, right then and there. "(Y/n)! W-what are you doin' here?!" Guzma said. I wiped the tears from my face, taking a deep breath, and turning around. "I came to talk to you. But it seams you're very busy. So, I'll be on my way." I spat. "No please wait! It's not what it looks like! I only love you!" I chuckle at his lie. "If you truly loved me, why hurt me?" I walked out of the house as if I had seen none of his lies, like I wasn't heartbroken, like I was perfectly fine.
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
But this is what I get. It's karma. I fall in love with a dangerous man, I end up the broken one. It's just the price I had to pay. I walk out of Po Town, a smile on my face. No, not a genuine one, a hysterical one. One that screams, "I'm dying. But no one has to know." I should stay positive. Why?

I'm coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
Weeks, no, months had passed since that day. To my family, friends, anyone, they'd be able to see I was fine, over it even. But was I really?
No. I wasn't.
How could someone get over this at all? Not a day goes by where I don't think about Guzma. Most of the time, it wasn't negatives, but the positives we went though. Like the times I'd wake up in his bed, a pile of limbs. Or the times where we would just talk, about anything really. About our past, what we're presently up to, and the most important, our future. Every time I asked him what he wants to do in the future, he'd reply with the same, exact sentence; "I want to be with you."
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
For the first time in weeks, I decided to leave the house. I roamed around Maile City, praying something, or someone would show up to get my mind off of everything. And my prayers where answered. Somewhat. I wondered right into the man himself, Guzma. In a panic, I ran into the nearest Pokécentre, pretending to heal my Pokémon. "Just calm down, (Y/n), he's gone." I sat down at a table, talking to myself quietly. "Hey babe." I felt a hand on my shoulder. Time seamed to freeze right then and there, memories I blocked out came flooding back in. "I missed you...." I whisper, a single tear rolling down my cheek. "I know ya did. I missed ya too. How 'bout we go back to my place and....ya know." I could hear the smirk in his voice. Should I go? Should I stay? My heart said yes, but my brain said no. But, like I always said, when all else fails, trust your heart....
Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking a drag
I roll over in bed, Guzma's soft snores being the only sound in the room. I just laid there, freezing cold, wondering why the hell I just did that. It wasn't genuine, it was pity sex. Like Guzma was trying to make it all up to me, but he was forcing himself to love. The words he said, the things he did, they all seamed genuine, it all seamed like he loved me. Yet, why wasn't he holding me like he used to? Why wasn't he drawing little circles on my back to relax me? Why wasn't he running his hands through my hair? I may never know. But I don't think I want to know.
Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest
Now, he takes off her dress
Now, let me go
I woke up to the sounds of Guzma getting out of bed, the lights of the lamp blinding me. "I'll be right back. Gettin' some food." Guzma laughed and ruffled my hair, just like how it used to be. Were thing's going back to normal? Did Guzma love me again? My hope swelled up inside. "Okay! I'll be waiting!" I smiled brightly, finally feeling loved once again. I fell back into bed, Butterfree's flying around in my stomach. Grabbing one of Guzma's oversized shirts, I pull it over my head and walk out of his room. As soon as I took one step, I soon reminded as to why this was a mistake, why I shouldn't be with Guzma, why he doensn't want me.
'Cause I just can't look its killing me
And taking control
Tears burned in my eyes, those Butterfree's in my stomach soon died. I was once again faced with Guzma and Plumeria. It was almost worse then the last time. They were on the floor, right in front of the exit to this place. I was trapped. I was forced to watch these two, I was forced to suffer. "Guzma!" I yelled, unable to control myself. But Guzma didn't separate himself from Plumeria. That was it, I had enough of this. I ran back to gather my things from Guzma's room, wiping away any free flowing tears. I marched down the stairs, jealousy and hatred fuelling me. "You asshole!" I scream. Ripping Plumeria away from Guzma, I continue to yell. "How dare you...." I punch him square in the face, leaving Guzma on the ground with a bloody nose and broken glasses.

"What did I ever do to make you want to hurt me?" I took a deep breath to calm myself down. Guzma looked at me with sad eyes, not saying a word. "So you're not going to answer me. Okay." I am done putting up with this man, all of his lies. "This will be goodbye forever. I will be moving to Hoenn. If you truly love me, I'll see you there." I smirk, wiping away any tears. I had to look tough right now, I had to be strong, or at least look the part.
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I will continue to stay positive throughout all of this. I will continue to draw Guzma in, only to take everything away from him every time. And best of all, I will continue to make him suffer, make him pay. Why am I doing this? Why make him pay?
'Cause I'm Mr Brightside
