Part 27 Trust
Sale Sahib, didn't I tell you about their family? She and her sister are the same... she is a..."
Before he could say anything, a hard punch from Arnav tore his cheekbone, making both Shyam and Khushi horrified. Arnav continuously hit Shyam until he bled. Shyam could not understand why Arnav hit him.
Khushi stood gulping down hard. She thought he would come to her after finishing Shyam's story. She got ready to get hurt. She had no choice. Arnav saw her telling Shyam to leave Anjali. No wonder he thought low about her. He would indeed think like that only. It was not his mistake. Anyone in his place would think like that. She cursed her fate for falling wrong in Arnav's eyes.
Shyam was struggling to stand Arnav's hits.
"Sale Sahib..." he tried to build up stories but Arnav didn't give him a chance to even open his mouth.
Khushi was scared that Arnav would kill Shyam. Of course, Arnav wanted to throw him down from the terrace but he didn't want to ruin Akash and Payal's wedding for any reason.
At some point, Shyam pushed Arnav with force and ran away from the terrace to save himself from the beasty Arnav.
Arnav stood panting hard. He looked at Khushi who was standing, spilling tears of fear. He came to her with a not-so-firm expression. Khushi trembled at his advance.
"Arnavji..." She trembled.
Arnav felt bad for her.
"Arnavji, I..."
Cutting her,
"I TRUST YOU," he said making her stop crying.
She was dumbfounded. She stared at him and could not believe what she heard. She thought she didn't hear clearly what he said. Did Arnav Singh Raizada say he trusted her? Even after hearing her asking Shyam to leave Anjali? She was looking at him standing like a statue. Her eyes were pouring like a waterfall but it was not due to fear.
Seeing her expression, Arnav gulped down and said,
"I said I trust you," he said softly.
Khushi joined her hands in a thanking manner and sat on the floor. She cried her heart out, clutching his feet. Arnav lifted her and made her stand.
"Do you trust me?" he asked.
Khushi nodded yes without any second thought.
"Will you do anything I say?"
She again nodded yes.
"Are you sure about it?"
She nodded yes.
"Marry me," he said making her horrified.
Marrying him? She didn't know what was there in his mind. She didn't know why he wanted to marry her. Whatever, she didn't want to defy him. No matter what was there in his mind. She didn't care even though he wanted to marry her to revenge on her. She was ready... for the ONE SINGLE WORD he uttered. Didn't he say he trusted her? She was ready to do anything he asked for.
She saw him looking at her with a stern expression. She nodded OK not because she had no choice. She didn't want any choice. She didn't want him to think of her wrong. She didn't want him to suspect her intention. So, she was ready to marry him but Arnav's next stance horrified her.
"We are going to marry without anyone's consent"
She was shocked. Again her eyes spilled tears. He wiped her tears, making her stuck. He turned to walk away and stopped feeling a tug. He saw her clutching her hand. He raised his head and looked at her.
"I'm ready. I will marry you" she said choking.
"Attend Payal's wedding then we will go to the temple"
Khushi nodded her head affirmatively even though she had many questions in her mind. She lost the right to ask him anything, she supposed. She had to do whatever he said. He wanted to marry her because he didn't want her to be a hindrance to his sister's life, she guessed. He didn't want to marry her with the elders' blessings because he should have thought she was not worthy of such recognition. He didn't want her to roam liberally. That was why he was locking her in his house... in his room... making her his wife. So that he could do anything. He could impose his right on her. She concluded.
She thought of all the ways possible. Neither did she question him nor did she defy him because she didn't want Payal's life to get spoilt. He was Arnav Singh Raizada after all. He could do anything. Raizada clan was revolving around him. His one word was enough for them to call off the wedding. She could not let it happen. Her sister already lost her happiness once. She overcame it before because she didn't have love in his heart for the guy. But, this time, she could not bear it because she loved Akash. She might leave her life. Khushi walked downstairs thinking about all of these. She came to the room and got ready for the wedding, like a robot.
Arnav went to Anjali's room. He saw Anjali treating Shyam's wound worriedly.
"Chotte, see, how badly he fell and got injured," She said, wiping his blood.
Arnav looked at him loathly and he bowed down. He saw worrisome on Anjali's face.
"Don't know whose bad eyes fell on our family. We are getting hurt one by one" She mumbled.
Shyam raised his eyelash towards Arnav who was spitting fire on him.
"Di... you should stop getting worried about everything. Some things are not worth your concern" Arnav said gritting his teeth, making Shyam panic.
Anjali looked at Arnav perplexed.
"What do you mean, Chotte?"
"Di, Shyam knows how to protect HIMSELF. He is more talented than we think. When it comes to his safety, he won't mind about anything... after all, he is a lawyer"
Shyam gulped down his fear, whereas Anjali frowned.
"Chotte, why do you call him Shyam instead of Jeejaji?"
"Did I call so? Really? Maybe slip of a tongue..." he pretended like leaving the place.
"By the way, why did you come here?"
"I want to talk to you something important. That's why I came..."
"Then why do you leave without telling me anything?"
"I would have told you that if you were ALONE but now, there won't be any use in telling you that as your mind won't work when you are with your husband"
If it was another situation, Anjali would have taken it as a joke but Arnav's facial expression told her something. It was definitely not a joke. She frowned, seeing a different gesture from her brother.
"Are you all right, Chotte?"
Arnav nodded no making Shyam's stomach mix up.
"What happened to you, Chotte? Won't you tell me anything?"
"I will tell you, but not now"
He walked towards the door and stopped. He looked at Anjali and said,
"Our car got serviced just last week. Then, how could the wire snap?" he asked looking at Shyam who was horrified but didn't look at Arnav.
"I swear Di... if anyone even thinks of hurting you, I will show him hell on the earth," Arnav said furiously, warning Shyam.
Anjali was mystified.
"Do you want to say something to me, Chotte?"
"I so want to tell you only one thing, Di... please, don't trust anyone blindly..." Arnav left the place.
Anjali became thoughtful.
"Rani Sahiba, I don't know what's wrong with Sale Sahib. He behaves wired and talks senselessly. Nowadays, he shows so much of attitude. Superiority is visible in his talks because we are depending on him..." he stopped talking, seeing Akash standing at the doorstep glaring at him.
Shyam gulped down hard and Anjali became nervous.
"No one has the right to talk about Bhai. Everyone who belongs to THIS FAMILY knows that... including Di. He is the pillar of this family. Every action of him has meaning... DEEP MEANING...! He just has not revealed anything, it doesn't mean anyone can talk about anything. Everything will be revealed one day. That day, this family will face a storm" Akash said heated up.
Anjali was more shocked. What happened to his brothers? Why were they so tensed and talked with anger?
"Di, you are getting late for my wedding... will you come with me?"
Anjali stood up not arguing. She walked with Akash leaving Shyam behind.
Everyone gathered at the dais including Arnav and Khushi. Khushi was looking at Arnav who looked agitated. She didn't wonder if he could be like that after the worst storm. She saw his eyes were on Shyam who was sticking with Anjali. She didn't wonder. After all, he was Shyam. What was there to be surprised? Such a snake he was!
Akash and Payal's wedding was held. Khushi looked at Arnav who was also looking at her. He walked towards the exit and Khushi followed him nervously. He opened the car door for her and she got in. Arnav started the car towards the temple. He saw her hands shivering. She didn't want to cry but she could not.
Arnav stopped the car in front of a temple and looked at her. Unbuckling the seatbelt, she got down. Clutching her hand, Arnav climbed the stairs with Khushi. He took a mangal sutra from his pant pocket and tied it around her neck. Taking a pinch of vermillion from the plate, he filled her forehead. He felt a tug to see her teary eyes.
Without wasting time, he came to RM with Khushi who hesitated like hell to go in front of her parents. Arnav held her hand and walked with her. Raizadas and Guptas horrified seeing them with garlands.
To be continued...
