But, the reality is Laurens died. Yes Lams is my otp but doesn't Alexander deserve to be happy, no matter who he ends up with?

Their love was so strong, that even after Alex broke Eliza's heart, she came back. How many people would do that?

Not only that, she went on to preserve his legacy. It is because of her and their children that we know so much about him.
