It got dark and I still wasn't home, I was actually wondering the streets, lost.

Yep I was a crying mess, lost in the streets of New York, in a neighbourhood I didn't know, I had no car and I couldn't use the internet on my phone so that sucked.

I couldn't stop the tears, I was really upset and the added circumstances only made matters worse for me. I was walking and hearing footsteps behind me. Like the smart person I am, I took my hand mirror out of my bag so that I could look over my shoulder without turning around and drawing unnecessary attention if I was actually being followed.

I took this opportunity to wipe a few tears away and I looked in the corner of the of the mirror while still walking and sure enough there was a hooded figure that was walking behind me, I took the chance to turn into a different street because I was already lost so I needed to make sure that I wasn't followed on top of that. The hooded figure was still walking behind me, at a safe distance for the moment but I was sure that it wouldn't last long.

I fished my phone out of my bag ignoring all the missed calls and texts from Kendyn and decided to call my other half.

"Roro?" his voice resonated on the other end and a fresh pair of tears escaped my eyes.

"Damon." I sobbed out still walking.

"Rose, what is the matter? Are you crying? Scratch that you are crying. What happened? Did you see Kendyn?" at the mention of his name, a new sob racked my body.

"I need you, big brother. My car has a flat tire, I caught Kendyn with another girl prancing about his place half naked and now I'm single, lost and I think someone is following me." I whispered out the last part paranoid that the man behind me could hear me. There was noise in the background before I heard his voice again.

"Don't stop walking Ro, and try and find a crowded area in the light. I'm on my way to pick you up. I love you and whatever you do, DO NOT STOP WALKING. Ok? I'll be there soon ok? Stop crying and keep walking and make as much distance between you two."

He warned and there were more shuffling noises in the background till I heard the sound of car doors closing on his end of the line.

"Don't leave me, Damon." I whimpered.

"I'm not hanging up Rose, never will I leave you." I nodded realising he couldn't see me so I just hummed.

I started walking faster and the food steps behind me were doing the same. I got so scared and that's when I saw I familiar place. We were coming up to the Main Street that was full of people, cars, shops and light.

I ran for it only to hear the steps behind me match my pace.

"Damon, he's coming after me," I said scared about the outcome of this situation.

"Run Rose and don't stop, I'll be there in a few minutes. Hang in there." I could feel his fear on the phone and it made me pick my pace up even more.

I was so close to the end of the street but sadly I didn't run fast enough and the man that was following me caught me and held me against his chest.

"Let me go!" I thrashed around and tried screaming before he placed his hand over my mouth and pulling me back further into the alleyway that we were in.

"Rose? Rose?" I heard my brother call in the receiver.

I bit the hand of my attacker making him let out a string of colourful words.

"Find me, Damon." the next thing I feel is a hit to my head sending me into darkness.

Damon Mortimer:

I came home with the boys and we decided to all just hang and wait for Rose to come back.

"Damon, son, could you take the twins and grab a few things in the store for me? Alex is sick, I have to take him to the doctors quickly, your mum is busy with shipment deals." my dad came into the game room looking like he was totally out of his element.

When mum got busy and he had to take care of the younger ones was a little struggle for him because of their age gap and now that Alex was sick was only adding to his stress.

"Sure, let me just grab my keys and jacket and I'll be off."

He gave a sigh of relief and thanked me before leaving.

I was now at the store with both of the twins who were dragging me in every aisle, asking to buy everything under the sun. We were only here for like three things but as usual we were taking more then we came in for. I took a few things for Rose especially her favourite sweets because I knew she was running low on them.

She thinks none of us knows about her secret sweet stash, only mum maybe, but little does she know that I'm the one filling her stock up every time. She thinks mum does it.

My phone rang and I answered looking at the caller ID.

"Roro?" I asked

"Damon." I heard her sob out.

"Rose, what is the matter? Are you crying? Scratch that you are crying. What happened? Did you see Kendyn?" I heard her sob again.

"I need you, big brother. My car has a flat tire, I caught Kendyn with another girl prancing about his place half naked and now I'm single, lost and I think someone is following me," she whispered the last part and I knew she wasn't joking. When I see that fucker, best friend or not he will be digging his grave before I shoot him.

"Don't stop walking Ro, and try and find a crowded area in the light. I'm on my way to pick you up. I love you and whatever you do, DO NOT STOP WALKING. Ok? I'll be there soon ok? Stop crying and keep walking and make as much distance between you two." I warned, telling her what to do till I got to where she was. I pulled the phone away and asked Amelia if she had her phone with her to which she nodded.

Amelia was the little techno whizz in the family, probably because she loves to spend her days with Paul and he teaches her all she needs to know.

"Track, Ro's phone for me please, leave the things we are going right now," I told the girls and both listened right away.

"Don't leave me, Damon." Rose whimpered on the other end of the phone drawing my attention back to her.

"I'm not hanging up Rose, never will I leave you." to which she only hummed.

I was now in the car with the twins In the back, Amelia telling me where to turn, I had put the phone on speaker to keep track of my sister.

"Damon, he's coming after me." her voice rang out.

"Run Rose and don't stop, I'll be there in a few minutes Rose. Hang in there." my heartbeat picked up as I could tell she started running.

"Let me go!" I heard faintly in the back.

"Rose? Rose?" I called out starting to get really nervous, we were nearly there, so close.

"Find me, Damon." was the last thing I heard before the line went dead.

"Fuck!" I yelled banging the steering wheel. I knew the girls figured out what was happening as they started crying, clear tears rolling down their pink little cheeks.

We arrived at where her phone last gave out a signal. I parked the car and instructed the girls to call dad and tell him what was happening. I locked them in the car, I can't afford for more of my sister's to be taken from me.

I found her phone, the screen smashed and further along was her bag, all her things scattered all around the place. But the thing that caught my eye was her necklace. The one she never took off, the one uncle Carter got her for her third birthday. The one who could help us track her was no longer around her neck.

I took all her things with me trying to keep my emotions under control. I need to be in leader mode now and bring my sister back safe.

I drove back home and went to the kitchen knowing it was where I would find my mother.

But when I stepped it was the last person I wanted to see.

"YOU!"
