┃CHAPTER 3
"Minho, Mr.Han is waiting for you downstairs." A smooth voice said as the curtains to his room were ripped open, and he desperately tried to block the early morning light with his pillow.
Someone walked over to his bed and stood above him, before he suddenly felt a cold breeze take over him as the covers were pulled off his body. Minho let out a loud grunt in frustration, kicking his legs up into the air.
Then he processed the situation.
In almost an instant Minho sat up on his bed, giving him a head rush, "is he here for breakfast?" He asked, looking at his alarm to see the time, "at...7 in the morning?"
His butler smiled, "I'm afraid he's here to collect you for a meeting."
-
And that's how he ended up sitting in a black mercedes, a Starbucks black coffee in one and hand and Jisungs phone on speaker is the other, holding it up for Jisung, who was looking though a folder of pictures and paper.
"Jota have you gotton confirmation from my father?"
A deep and alluring voice replied, "yes Jisung. He said 10:30 sharp."
"That's fine, please also check in with the rest of my family. Make sure they all call you back today and if not I'll speak with them. Could you direct my call to Younghyun?"
"Yes sir." Then the call cut off and another started ringing. Jisung closed his blue folder and picked up a black one, just as a hyper voice answered the call.
"Younger brother! How dare you not tell me you're getting married to a gorgeous man! I only found out from the news this morning. I'm offended."
Minho himself had been shocked at the countless amount of text messages and emails from friends and colleagues congratulating his marriage, only then to remember that Jisung had told over 7 news sites, 3 newspapers and hundreds of blogs. All of them posting the news at the same time last night. The headline 'Lee Minho and Han Jisung becoming the most anticipated power couple of 2018!' still fresh in his mind.
Jisung rolled his eyes and gave Minho a little apologetic smile, "well, the gorgeous man is sitting right here. Say hi."
Minho felt himself get nervous (this was his husbands older brother).
"Minho! A pleasure to finally talk, I'm-"
"You're irrelevant. I called to ask if you could talk to Mr.Kim from the supermarket Company about attending my wedding tomorrow. He loves you and tell him he's VIP invited."
The man on the phone seemed to not listen or not care about anything Jisung had just said, "so tell me Minho...what caught your eye about my little brother first? Was it his eyes? Humour? Or maybe he gave you a good night that you just couldn't forget-"
"BYE." Jisung shouted as he grabbed the phone from Minho and cut it off immediately, the car suddenly becoming extremely hot. Minho would have teased him on the blush that dusted his face, if not the man had opened his window all the way down.
"Close your window a bit, Jisung."
Jisung gave him a weird glance and went back to his folder, but continued to speak to him. "You're too paranoid Minho, nothings going to fly through the window of a moving car."
"Yes but-"
"Moving on." Jisung quickly cut him off, grabbing his phone and quickly sent a message. He then turned back to Minho with a tired smile. "would you like to hear our schedule for today, my dear future husband."
The list hadn't even started but he was both mentally and physically tired.
"At 9 we have a meeting with Mr.Hwang to ownes a private resort and a close business partner. Then we meet with my father, at 10:30 sharp. Then we have Mr.Kim at 12 who ownes that Tech company for computers, Mr.Min at 1:15 who ownes restaurants all over the country. Mr.Lee CEO of SM at 2:30. Mr.Choi of Posco at 4 and Can't forgot about Mrs.Chung founder of Hyundai at 5 and finally Mr.Kim CEO of Samsung electronics at 6."
Minhos stomach was already crying, he needed food. And more coffee. Some more sleep would also be widely appreciated.
And as if on cue, a quiet gurgle filled the some what quiet car and Jisung couldn't stop himself for giggling at the red tint on the others face, "we can grab breakfast after the meeting with my dad and lunch after our meeting at 2:30. Then I promise we can get dinner!"
That did bring Minho's mood up and he appreciated that Jisung was trying to be as communicative as he could be. Nonetheless, something wasn't right and a pit of worry grew in his stomach.
That's when he noticed the absence of cars around them, "Jisung where's your security I hired?" Minho asked, his hand tightening around the gun inside his coat.
"I sent them away, I never needed security so I don't see why I need them now." He deadpanned, looking through another huge folder, a pen in his mouth.
"Jisung. Back then you weren't going to get married to the son of one of the biggest mafias in the world. You need security now, my father isn't the most kindest or liked man by many." Minho informed, a hand on Jisungs thigh, trying to get his attention. However Jisung didn't seem to understand what Minho was trying to hint at.
"We'll be in heavily guarded companies for most hours of the day. You'll be fine."
"I'm not the one who should be concerned, Jisung." Minho whispered, making sure only Jisung could hear him.
Jisung stopped flicking through documents and looked up to meet Minho's eyes. They were oozing dominance and the whole car seemed to darken. Before he could reply the car came to a sudden stop, surprising both men at the back. Jisung quickly collected himself.
"We'll talk later. As for now- smile and be pretty in our meeting. You should be good at that." Jisung said pointedly, and Minho swore he heard a hint of malice in his words. Was Jisung mocking him?
The business man got out of the car first, making Minho rip his hand away from others thigh.
Minho sat in the car for a few seconds, before he finally got out himself. He walked to the huge glass doors were Jisung was waiting for him, his eyes burning holes into his face.
The feeling of doubt didn't leave Minho throughout the whole meeting.
-
The car was quiet, both men had obviously not forgiven eachother. Jisung had opened his window a few minutes earlier, muttering inaudible words as he did.
Minho was the first to break the silence, "it's only 9:45."
"So?" Jisung replied pointedly, trying his best to communicate as little as possible with the mafias son.
This didn't go unnoticed to Minho, "there's an hour until the meeting with your father. Can't we grab breakfast together?"
Jisung tried his best to convince himself that the 'breakfast together' didn't make him a little happier. He found himself feeling a little childish for getting mad, but held his ground nonetheless.
"We can't, it takes a while to get to his office."
Silence once again, until it was the driver who opened his privacy window and spoke- "sir, there seems to be an accident at the three way. We'll need to stop here for a few minutes."
Neither of them replied and the driver shut his window.
"Look-" Jisung whispered, turning around to finally look at Minho, who in turn moved forward in his seat. "I'm sorry I over reacted, I don't like being told what to and what not to do, especially if it's you who's giving me instructions. I can handle things on my own just as much as you can, so I felt a little threatened when you started telling me off for something I did on my own- eventhough I can assure you we'll be fine." He informed, maybe a little more harshly than he had prepared in his head but hopefully it got the message across.
But Minho's face stayed still, and a small smile on his face. But the smile made Jisung creeped out, his eyes were empty and the smile was forced. He'd seen such smiled in his business meeting all the time, but why...
"Jisung, close your window." Minho said through gritted teeth, still smiling at him.
Jisung was annoyed, after his apology speech Minho was still upset over the fact that his goddamn window wasn't down? After he had just said he didn't want to be treated as a child? "What the hell? No! What did i just tell you?"
"Jisung," Minho whispered, his face dangerously close to Jisungs own, "keep moving your head around and slowly move your hand to close the window. Now."
The young business man was fuming, not only was this man telling him to do completely idiotic things- but the way he was commanding made him feel like he had committed a horrible crime.
"Now listen here-" he was cut off by Minho's cold hand touching his face, caressing his cheek. His gesture so gentle it made Jisung completely forget what he was about to say, not that he would have finished his sentence anyway.
Then Minho did the unexpected,
He kissed him.
To say that Jisung was caught off guard would be an understatement, nothing could ever prepare him for such an intimate action when they were literally fighting over a window less than a minute ago.
Minho had his eyes open as his lips moved on top of Jisungs and only then did he realise he was in fact not kissing back, instead he sat with a straight back- facial expression frozen in time. Minho's hand snaked it's way around his waist and cupped the bottom of his back, and Jisung melted into his arms as if on impulse.
It was the heat of the moment when Jisung opened his mouth and let the other deepen the kiss, he breathed into it and Jisung could make out a few words spoken against his tounge, "men...building...fuck...window...god Jisung."
Minho pulled away forcefully the same time he heard the cars window close, Jisung turned his head slightly to see that the hand that was once holding him was now on the window button. Minho's body was still pressed against his until the window was completely shut and then his whole body relaxed.
Jisung was still kiss drunk when Minho pulled out his hand gun, instantly coming back to reality.
"Wow wow, okay, first of all, what the fuck did you just do? Second of all why the hell are you carrying around a gun?"
Minho looked at him innocently, his lips pink, "you don't?"
"No I fucking don't James Bond, now answer the question." He said quietly, hoping Minho didn't see that Jisung was staring at his lips.
Minho looked him up and down, similar to when they first met. His eyes seemed hungry but calm, he then reached out and fixed Jisung shirt, which had wrinkled during their unplanned make out.
"Look out your window, what do you see?" He said calmly, smoothing out the shoulder of Jisungs suit.
His words shook Jisung as he unwillingly complied, tempted to piss off his future husband by opening the window again, but instead he looked out into the busy street, nothing but people.
"Look at the man in the black suit and tie."
Jisung scanned the street for a man in a black suit and tie, finding him sitting on a bench, talking into an old and standard flip phone- which was strange going by the expensive Armani watch he was wearing.
"Now look at that chicken shop and the man outside."
A chill ran down his spine, when he saw nearly an exact replica of the man before, but this time leaning outside a chicken shop. The same flip phone in his grasp. The only thing different was their facial features, but even their haircuts were the same. It was unnerving.
Minho's voice was hot against his ear, "Want to know why I kissed you? Why I closed the window? Why I told you to move your head?"
Jisung didn't even reply.
"Look up."
So he did, his hair sticking up as his eyes trailed up the huge building. Windows and window passed and nothing out of the ordinary- until he was at the top of the building where he could go no furthur.
His blood ran cold, for at the top of building, in broad daylight, was a man. In the same suit, the same haircut, the same watch and the same flip phone to one ear
and a sniper gun in the other.
But what made Jisungs stomach feel empty and his toes curl, was the fact that the man was staring right at their car.
Staring right at Jisung.
