Two years had past since the two boys were brought into the training facility after being sold by the orphanage they lived in and alot of things had happened even though every day was pretty much the same for the two boys as if they were living in a endless loop of days. Taehyun was someone who naturally wasn't a fan of violence from a young age and therefore the training turned out to he extremely hard for him mentally and physically so as a result he lacked in many areas , so he was subjected to constant punishments from the trainers . The punishments ranged from starving for 2 days minimum , whipping , having to stay submerged in ice cold water from neck down naked for hours until he passed out from the extreme cold or until the trainers decides it's enough it was the former in almost all the cases , and he was almost mostly locked up in a dark creepy room with no windows until the trainers let him out which sometimes took even days to happen and much more . And little Taehyun endured all this without complaining since that's all he could do , he knew he had no voice against the heads of the facility .

But Huening Kai found it hard to watch his best friend and the closest thing he had to a family go through all this alone . So he always tried his best and gave his best into training to be good enough to strike a deal with the trainers . And he achieved that , he trained so hard that the trainers were impressed . So he made a deal with the trainers and not wanting to loose a hard-working boy like him , the trainers agreed to the deal reluctantly. The deal was that if on the evaluation days ans other test Huening Kai came first ans proved excellent progress each passing day without any major mistakes then he could share his meals with Taehyun and also Taehyun won't be send to the ice cold pool for the 1 week which followed. And that is exactly what he did. He trained hard like a machine but made sure to not be exactly what they want him to be , a mindless killing machine. And he did succeed in his mission of keeping Taehyun as safe as possible since he came number one in all the monthly evaluation and weekly tests . He did everything he could just to keep his best friend safe. He worked so hard to the level that each day Taehyun lived in fear that he will have to hear the news about Huening Kai collapsed due to exhaustion . But Kai always assured him that he will be safe ans that he is not neglecting his health though his physic clearly said other wise to anyone looking at him. But sadly no one else but Taehyun trully cared
