I wake up to a bright light. I squinted to blur the brightness. I felt really weak and drained but yet new. I had a funny feeling and didn't feel like myself.

"Oh, Lord Jesus! My baby is awake!" My mother cried.

My mother kissed my forehead, forcing a smile on my face. I grabbed her hand squeezed it.

"Hey momma." I whispered in a raspy voice.

Tears fell from her face and she kissed my hand.

"Hey, baby." She said.

"Where's daddy?" I asked, kinda hurt that hes not here.

She dropped her head and her eyes went blank.

"He died during the operation." She said blankly.

"What operation?" She began crying in my lap. I shook her. "What operation, Mom!?" I cried with her.

"When we got you here, you had loss so much blood that we had to give you some. Well, your father offered to do it and the operation went wrong and he loss too much blood." She cried. "He said If he didn't make it, he wants you to know that he's sorry and he loves you very much, baby. He also said Happy Birthday baby." She said pulling out a little present.

"But my birthday is in 3 days" I said looking at the present.

"You've been in here for three days, Kam." She said showing me the date.

I gasped in disbelief. I unwrapped the present. My eyes widened at the beautiful necklace (Multimedia) that my father had bought me. A little note that fell out and said,

"Im sorry, for what you heard. I will forever regret being blind to the blessing you are in my life. You deserve to live more than I do. I gave you my blood and I owe you. I love love more than life itself, youre daddys little princess. I will be watching over you. I promise you, baby. Can you promise me something?" It read. There was nothing else on the paper and I looked at my mom in confusion..

"Promise him, what?" I asked my mom.

"He said promise him that you'll live for him." She smiled.

"I promise" I smiled looking up above and closing my eyes.
