Alright, so it would seem the original owner didn't do a great job of explaining the way voting works for the CreepyPasta awards (I'm looking at you, Kyle aka @XxbluecupcakexX). He's such a strange boy but I gotta love him. 

Anyways, now that we've gotten his mess up known to everyone, I'm here to tell you about the voting. Almost everyone seems confused about the way voting works. I hope I'll be able to answer any and all questions about it. If not, feel free to ask more about anything that confuses you.

To start off, let it be known that any and all things that have to deal with the awards and voting are done on the page. Got it? Hang on, I'll go into way more detail soon.

A lot of you think that when I say vote for the author's story, it means you should go and vote on the author's personal story. Okay, to make this easier, I'm going to use my story, Dear My Sanity, as an example to help you understand.

To vote correctly, you DO NOT go to my story and vote on a chapter. What you need to do is come to the CreepyPasta_Awards profile. Since my story is a Jeff the Killer story, it will be in the JTK category.

When voting begins, the different categories will be given their own stories on this profile. The JTK category's story will be called, "Jeff the Killer Entries." and the cover will consist of a picture of Jeff. If that's not enough, the cover itself will literally say, "VOTE HERE."

After you find the correct voting story on this page, go to it and feel free to skip through the other chapters until you find the one with the book you're looking for. In this case, it's Dear My Sanity so what you'll do is browse through the chapters until you find it. When you do, go to that chapter.

After that, you simply vote on the Dear My Sanity chapter in the Jeff the Killer Entries book. There will be a summary and a few extra details added into the chapter for the voters benefit. If you want your vote to count for the CreepyPasta awards, DO NOT vote on the author's story itself. Come to us. We'll guide you in the right direction.

As for the counting of the votes, we do not do it by the amount of votes the original story has. That would be extremely unfair. We count it by the votes that book gets on it's story's chapter in the CP Awards voting books.
