General Rules

The rules for the Awards are very simple and they are posted on the awards profile. But, the ones in the book go more in depth and will explain new rules. I encourage you to read on.

1) You can send in a story that is not finished. This is the most asked about. Yes, any story can be sent in, even if it is unfinished. Remember, any and all stories are welcome. We don't care if it has one chapter or forty. We accept all stories, so long as they are about Creepypasta.

2) You can enter the Awards again, but not if you place first. At this point, we have had several awards and several winners. If you placed but want to enter your story in again, you are more than welcome to, so long as you did not place first. Any stories that have placed first cannot be re-entered into the category they got first in.

3) Any story category is accepted. There are many categories listed but we are always open to accept any stories that don't fall into any of the available categories. So, remember, even if we don't have the category you think your story falls under, you can still send it in. We accept all Creepypasta stories.

4) Every category must have a minimum of THREE stories by the time voting rolls around. This seems to be a rule people get confused by. This means that any category that has less than three stories will not be allowed to continue on for that awards session.

Ex: Let's say voting is getting closer but the Slenderman category only has one story entered into it. Time goes by; it's time for voting to begin and the Slenderman category still only has one story entered in. This means the category will not move on to voting because it must have at least three stories entered in.

5) Vote. The rules for this one is going to change. The author of any story submitted is no longer allowed to vote on their story. This rule will go into action for the Spring Awards 2016 and any awards that take place after.

6) You can recommend a story to be entered. Is there an author that you absolutely love and think deserves an award? You can now recommend any stories to be entered and the same submission rules will apply to this. If you recommend a story, I will alert the author and tell them they were nominated into the awards.

7) Send in stories. Stories could be sent in by private messaging or by posting on my message board. If you don't send your story in with the correct format, I will not accept the submission until you send it in correctly. The format for any stories being sent in will be:

Title:

Category:

Extra Awards (if you plan on sending one in):

If there is any confusion, there will be a chapter dedicated to submission. Please look at that before asking questions. It is possible your question will be answered in that chapter.

8) Notify me of any changes. This is always a major problem. Authors send in stories then change the name after I put up the voting books, or they change their username, or they delete the book. I am asking you please alert me of any changes and to please refrain from making any changes while your story is entered in the contest because that can cause problems for me. From now on, so long as you alert me, I will work with you to make any changes to the voting books if you decide to make any changes while in the competition.

9) Stay committed. I know this isn't my place to say this, but this is a competition. You can't just join a competition and then leave it when you want. If you join or get nominated in, your story will go through the awards session. You never know, you just may place first. It's also possible you may not place at all and then you can just go on with this as a memory.

10) For every category, we will only accept two stories from the same author. If you're sending in stories, you can send as many in as you want, depending on the category you put them in. Example: let's say I send in two stories for every single category. That's fine. Now, let's say I want to send in three stories for Jeff the Killer. That's a no-no. You can only send two stories per category, but you can send in as many stories as you want, so long as they are in different categories, If this doesn't explain it properly, I will make an extra chapter for this where I will try to explain this better.
