Back to School Party (9/8/2009) Location: The Woods

The Back to School Party is an annual evening event, where students from Mystic Falls High School gather together to celebrate the beginning of the schoolyear as a new year level.

This event first appeared in the first episode of Season 1, it was the setting for Vicki Donovan's attack by Damon Salvatore. Stefan and Elena also met there after Elena invited him and it was where Elena confided in Stefan about her parents' death at Wickery Bridge after she had gone to the school party.

Night of the Comet Festival (9/9/2009) Location: Town Square

The Night of the Comet Festival celebrates the comet that passes over Mystic Falls every 145 years. The first comet that had passed was in the year 1864, the next in the year 2009, meaning the next one won't come until the year 2154.

During 2009 people watched the comet and lit candles in a cup, lighting any other persons candle that wanted to join. Stefan explained to Elena about it appearing every 145 years and tells her that the comet has been traveling across space for 1000s of years, all alone...a ball of snow and ice trapped on a path it can't escape. Bonnie had thought that the comet was a harbinger of evil, probably because back when it was first around the town was in hysteria and fear because of vampires.

Sexy Suds Carwash (9/29/2009) Location: In front of Mystic Falls Highschool

Sexy Suds Car Wash was organized to increase the funds of the town's athletic department. Cheerleaders and football players held a car wash, with the teammates washing the outside of cars, as well as the inside. They charged $20 dollars to clean the outside and inside of the car, and $15 to only clean the outside.

Caroline, who is captain of the cheerleading squad, organized and led the carwash.  Damon, who was imprisoned in the Salvatore Boarding House's basement and weakened by vervain, used his connection to her to summon her to the house from the carwash, and she snuck away without telling anyone where she was going. When she got there, he compelled her to release him. She complied, but Damon, who was starving, thanked her by trying to feed on her. Thankfully, Stefan had taken Damon's daylight ring, which allowed Caroline the opportunity to flee by opening the door, allowing the sunlight to enter the room and burn Damon.

At the carwash, Elena pointed out Stefan's Lapis Lazuli daylight ring, and mentioned that Damon had the same ring. He explained that it was a family heirloom, with his family's crest. Elena offers to put it in her bag so it doesn't get damaged by the soap and water, but Stefan refused to take it off.

During the event, Tiki insulted a customer, saying their car was trash. Bonnie was annoyed and angry at how rude she was being, and unintentionall lost control of her magic, causing the water from the hose she was using to spray her heavily, which made Bonnie snicker. Later, Tiki notes that Caroline left, which means that she is in charge, and orders Bonnie to sweep the water off of the pavement. Bonnie got angry at being bossed around by Tiki, and again causes Bonnie to lose control of her magic. The water on the pavement was set ablaze with fire, which travelled to a nearby car, engulfing the car in flames. Stefan noticed what was happening, and runs over to Bonnie, breaking her from her trance. She asked him if anyone saw what she did, and he assured her that they didn't. She begged him to keep this a secret and ran off, presumedly to her Grams' house.

After Stefan left to check on Damon, an elderly man, who is Tiki's grandfather, recognized Stefan. Elena was confused, and the man told Elena about meeting Stefan when he stayed at the Salvatore Boarding House in 1953. Elena says that is impossible, and he further details the "animal attack" on Joseph Salvatore the same year. He told her that he was sure that he saw Stefan in 1953. Tiki found him, and mentioned to Elena that her grandfather is "kind of Alzheimer-y", but Elena was still rattled by the encounter and determined to learn more.

Elena ran into Logan Fell at the car wash, and uses his relationship with her aunt Jenna to ask for a favor; she asked him if he could help her find information on news broadcasts from 1953 for a school project. Logan agrees, and takes her to the WPKW9 office to look up information on the "attack" on their database of news coverage through the history of Mystic Falls. It is there that she sees video coverage of a broadcast about Joseph Salvatore's death, filmed outside the Salvatore Boarding House, where Stefan can barely be made out in the background, shocking Elena.

Founder's Party and Heritage Display (9/24/2009) Location: Lockwood Mansion

The Founder's Party and Heritage Display is an event held at the end of September, at the Lockwood Mansion. The First Founder's Party was held on September 24, 1864. The most recent one happened in 2009.

Founding Families organized it to display the heritage of people the founders in Mystic Falls. At the 2009 Founder's Party and Heritage Display, the Founder's Council were counting on Elena to bring the Gilbert Compass so they could use it to track vampires, but they were unable to get it that night, as Elena allowed Jeremy to keep it because Grayson said it belonged to him. 

Elena attended the party because the Gilbert family's founding heritage was very important to her parents, and she went with Stefan as her date. Damon compelled Caroline to take him to the party as her date, despite her fear of what her mother would say. He also compelled her to wear a specific dress. His reasoning for wanting to attend the party was to reclaim the Bennett Talisman that he had hid over a century prior. Stefan, who wanted a way to get an upper hand on Damon, danced with Caroline and used the opportunity to spike her champagne with vervain.

Tyler invited Vicki to go with him, but he went to great lengths to hide their relationship with his family, because Carol Lockwood thought of Vicki as "trash", or low-class.

There was a registry on display of the first Founder's Party in 1864. Elena read the names aloud and realized that Damon and Stefan's names were on it, since they were at the first party. Since Elena didn't know that they are vampires who have been alive since before 1864, they lied and said that they were their ancestors after whom they were named.

During this event, Bonnie lit a candle with her powers. She's shocked at her abilities, and later tried again in the Lockwood's dining room, but it didn't work. Defeated, she heads to another room, but passes a lit candle on the wall by the doorway. turns around and sees that all of the candles in the room have lit themselves.

Elena was in the bathroom freshening up with Caroline when she noticed a healing wound on Caroline's neck underneath her scarf. Caroline told her to stop, but Elena saw more scars on her back and shoulderblades. Caroline runs off, and Elena runs off to tell Stefan what has happened. Caroline runs into Damon and tells him that Elena saw her bite marks, but that she didn't tell her anything about how she got them. Damon was angry at first, but then started to be nicer to her before biting her neck and drinking her blood deeply. Since Stefan had slipped her vervain, Damon became weakened by her blood, which gave Stefan the opportunity to take him home and lock him in the basement cellar of the Salvatore Boarding House.

Halloween Party (10/31/2009) Location: Mystic Falls High School

The Halloween Party was an event at Mystic Falls High School on October 31, 2009.

Jeremy went to the party after Vicki sent him a message. He didn't know that she was a vampire yet.

Bonnie and Caroline were both dressed as witches. Tyler was dressed as a Sparta warrior. Matt went as a doctor and Elena went as a nurse, which they both wore as costumes for the 2008 Halloween party. Jeremy simply wore his normal clothes: jeans, a tshirt and a black hoodie. Damon met Carol Lockwood at the Mystic Grill before the party, and told her that his uncle Zach went out of town for a while (although he was actually dead, murdered by Damon earlier) and that he will bring her vervain for The Founder's Council. Damon tried to get the amber crystal from Bonnie by ripping it of her neck, but it burned his hand, allowing Bonnie to make a getaway.

Later that night, Vicki finally found Jeremy at the party. They went outside the school and started making out against a bus. While they were kissing, Vicki accidentally bit his lip. She started sucking the blood out of it, and he yelled at her to stop. Elena came and tried to stop her, but Vicki was too strong and threw her against the school. Stefan came to help, but Vicki hid under the buses. He told Elena and Jeremy to leave, but Vicki caught them at the door. She bit Elena'a neck and drank her blood, but was staked by Stefan before she could do any more major damage. Jeremy didn't understand what was wrong with Vicki, but he was devastated that he loses everyone that he cares about. Elena was so worried about Jeremy that she convinced Damon to compel him to forget his memories after the party. Damon complied, and took away his pain.

Party at the Grill (11/5/2009) Location: Mystic Grill

The Party at the Grill was an event on November 5, 2009. Damon compelled Caroline to throw the party. It was also the day of Stefan's 162nd birthday, which he spent at this event. Earlier that day Lexi came to visit Stefan like she did every birthday he had. The party was held in the Mystic Grill at night.

Stefan played pool with Lexi and was having a great time, even seen smiling. Elena talked to Lexi and she told her that the love of her life was a human.

Caroline tried to get the crystal from Bonnie, but failed because it shocked her. Later Caroline was seen drunk in the middle of the party and Matt carried her home. At the end of the night, Damon attacked a young girl and then compelled her to tell Sheriff Forbes that it was Lexi who attacked her. Then Sheriff Forbes and two other cops injected Lexi with vervain, and arrested her.

They took her to a back alley with the intent of staking her, however Lexi was strong enough to resist the vervain and was about to attack Sheriff Forbes, until Damon "saved" the sheriff by staking Lexi in the heart. Damon's plan worked as Sheriff Forbes then responded, "Finally this nightmare is over."

Career Night (11/19/2009) Location: Mystic Falls Highschool

Career Night was an event in the middle of November 2009. It was held in the Mystic Falls High School. Students attended to get an idea of what careers they would pursue after high school. Before the event Damon fought with the newly turned vampire, Logan Fell.

During the Career Night, Tyler and Jeremy got into a fist fight. Alaric Saltzman and Mayor Lockwood luckily were able to separate them. Afterwards, the Mayor wanted Jeremy and Tyler to fight outside and "handle this like real men", which shocked and embarrassed Tyler and Jeremy, who had no interest in fighting each other. As the Mayor pushed them to fight, Alaric confronted him and was able to get him to leave the boys alone. At the end of the night, Jeremy tried to smooth things over with Tyler, after seeing the abusive ways his dad treats him, to which Tyler got extremely angry and punched Jeremy again. Jeremy angrily asked Tyler what his problem was, and Tyler, looking remorseful, told him he didn't know. As he walked away, the camera pans to the full moon, indicating that it may have had an affect on his mood swings and furthering suspicions that Tyler is a werewolf.

Logan Fell came to the school and ran into Sheriff Forbes, confronting her, as he believed her to be responsible for his death and it's cover-up. He later kidnapped Caroline Forbes to get even, and called her mother to tell her he was going to turn Caroline into a vampire. Damon and Stefan were able to save her, and Damon was about to kill him when Logan mentions that he's not the only person who wants to get Katherine out of the tomb, catching Damon off guard. When the Sheriff approaches Damon and Logan, Damon tells him to make it look convincing; Logan ends up kicking Damon against his car and speeds off, and Damon apologizes to the Sheriff for not being able to take him. Later that night, Alaric, who is interested in Jenna, Logan's ex-girlfriend, confronted Logan at the Fell Warehouse. Logan Fell attempted to kill him, but Alaric staked him before he got the chance, revealing Alaric's prowess at vampire-hunting.

1950's Decade Dance (11/25/2009) Location: Mystic Falls Highschool

The 50's Decade Dance is an event in Mystic Falls High School near the end of 2009. The high school also does a sixties and twenties school dance. This event occurred in Season One.

Before the event Noah, a vampire, was in the Gilbert's House. He had been invited in and Stefan and Damon decided that they needed to kill him that night. Damon, Elena and Stefan went to the dance to find and kill Noah.

Caroline and Matt's relationship went down, after she called Ben McKittrick, a washed up jock. Alaric and Jenna were chaperoning the dance, and they also danced there. Bonnie asked Ben on a date and he accepted. They liked each other, but when she kissed him, she felt that he was a vampire.

Anna asked Jeremy to give her the journal and he saw her eyes. It is shown that Noah, Anna and Ben are working together to get the Journal to try to open the tomb.

Noah called Elena to exit the room or he would kill her brother, Jeremy. She did it, he attacked her but she stabbed him with pencils and Stefan and Damon showed up. He told them to find Emily's Grimoire that they had to find Journal first. Damon and Stefan were torturing Noah, and when they asked who was helping him, he refused to answer so they staked him. Alaric was passing by and Damon attempted to compel him to see if he knew anything, but Alaric had vervain clutched in his hand so it didn't work.

Duke's Party (11/28/2009) Location: Cemetary

Duke's Party was a party by the cemetery threw by Duke, a student who goes to Duke University and every time he returns to Mystic Falls he throws a party. In 2010, he was first seen. Jeremy invited Anna here.

She said she was leaving town and then they shared their first kiss. Then Ben McKittrick hit him to use him later on. During the party Grams and Bonnie opened the tomb. They just opened the tomb's door, they didn't removed the seal that keeps vampires for coming out. Damon entered with Elena, then Anna. Ben tried to fight Stefan, but was set aflame and died.

Grams told Stefan about the seal and he didn't enter, until he heard Elena screaming. Bonnie insisted to remove the seal, so that Stefan could get out. They did it, and after Damon realized that Katherine wasn't in the tomb he threw a pack of blood on the walls. Vampires in tomb drank that blood and left the tomb.

The spell weakened Grams and she died peacefully that night.

Founder's Day Fundraiser and Bachelor Raffle (1/7/2010) Location: Mystic Grill

Founder's Day Fundraiser and Bachelor Raffle was an event held at the end of March 2010 at the Mystic Grill.

Girls from Mystic Falls competed to win a date with bachelors. Before the event Sheriff Forbes asked Damon Salvatore to join because she was short on a bachelor.

He said yes and asked her to find information on Alaric Saltzman. During the event she showed him the research she had done. Alaric had a few speeding tickets and a tragic story because his wife Isobel Saltzman went missing a few years ago and was presumed deceased.

After that Damon provoked Alaric by saying that his wife, Isobel, was delicious. Elena Gilbert also told Damon that her mother was Isobel during this event. After the event Alaric tried to kill Damon for murdering Isobel, but Damon killed him revealing that he turned Isobel. However, within a few minutes, Alaric returned with the help of his ring that Isobel had given him. Also the Mystery Man came to warn Elena to stop searching for Isobel and before stepping in the middle of the road and getting killed by oncoming vehicle.

Founder's Day Kick-Off Party (1/30/2010) Location: Founder's Hall

The Founder's Day Kick-Off Party is a yearly event in the middle of April 2010. The Founder's Council organizes it and is held in The Founders Hall. John Gilbert returned to town that day.

At the party John Gilbert told Damon that he knows about the tomb and the vampires, so Damon killed him. A few minutes later John Gilbert returned very much alive because he had a ring, the same as the one that Alaric Saltzman has. John took his ring from his brother, back in the 1990s and gave his to Isobel, who gave it to Alaric before she left town.

While Stefan and Elena were dancing, they accidentally ran into Duke, who insulted Elena . Stefan made him apologize by compelling him. Later Duke provoked Stefan and Stefan almost killed him, but Elena came, so he ran away. Stefan also touched Kelly Donovan's blood and tasted it afterwards.

Also, Tyler and Kelly started making-out and Matt saw them. He and Tyler got into fist fight and Matt had lost horribly and had blood on his face. Mayor Richard Lockwood told Tyler to never embarrass his family again. Matt stays mad at Tyler until Founder's Day near the end of the celebration.

After the event Matt told his mom that he wants her to leave the house because of what happened.

Miss Mystic Falls Pageant (2/7/2010) Location: Founder's Hall

Miss Mystic Falls Pageant is a beauty pageant held annually in Mystic Falls. Typically, the daughters of the Founding Families compete against each other for the title of Miss Mystic Falls, though other members of the town have been known to enter the pageant as well. Carol Lockwood, amongst others, chooses who will be competing in the competition each year.

In 1864, the pageant was postponed due to hunting of the vampires in Mystic Falls. Anna, a vampire, was intending on competing, but couldn't after the vampires got taken to the church and "burnt". (It is later revealed that they were instead hidden in a tomb below the church.)

In the first 2010 pageant Amber Bradley, Elena Gilbert, Caroline Forbes, Tina Fell, Blair Fell, and one other unnamed girl were chosen by Carol Lockwood to participate. Amber was not a member of a founding families , but was chosen in spite of this. The event took place in the Founder's Hall.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner: Caroline Forbes with Jeffrey Lockwood Hamilton. Tina Fell with Bartolomeo Whitmore. Blair Fell with unknown. Elena Gilbert with Damon Salvatore. (Originally planned to be escorted by Stefan Salvatore.) Amber Bradley did not appear at the pageant as she was taken into the woods by Stefan who then fed on her.

Caroline Forbes was awarded Miss Mystic Falls, and with the other participants and their escorts, stood on a float during the Founder's Day Parade.

Founder's Day Celebration (2/25/2010) Location: Mystic Square

The Founder's Day Celebration is a yearly event in Mystic Falls. In 2010 the town celebrated its 150th anniversary. (The town was founded in 1860.) Preparations for it started a few months earlier. The event took place in the Season One episode, Founder's Day.

Later on that evening, the mayor held a speech for the 150th anniversary and the fireworks started. Mrs. Lockwood was in charge of the floats and announced them as they passed by.

Also, the device was activated during the 150th celebration, after the Founder's Council got wind of a rumor that the tomb vampires were planning on killing the Founding Families in retribution for their ancestors trapping them in the church for 145 years. Once the vampires (and werewolves) were incapacitated by the device, the sheriff's deputies injected the vampires with vervain while the townspeople were setting off fireworks. Unfortunately, Mayor Lockwood, who, unbeknownst to him or his immediate family, was an untriggered werewolf, was also affected by the device and ultimately died after a vervained vampire killed him in the basement of the Gilbert medical clinic.

Mayor Lockwood's Funeral (2/26/10) Location: Lockwood Mansion

Mayor Lockwood's Funeral was a funeral of Mayor Richard Lockwood. He died in Founder's Day during Founder's Day Parade. Almost a whole town came to pay respect. The event was held in Lockwood Mansion.

Sheriff Forbes and Carol Lockwood were fighting because Carol said that it was the sheriff's fault that her husband is dead. Damon calmed them down. Then Tyler saw somebody's car. It was his uncle, Mason who came to his brother's funeral. They talked a little but. Soon Katherine came disguised as Elena and Tyler let her in. Bonnie used "mind spell" on Damon then went to Katherine (she thought it was Elena) to complain about him. When she touched Katherine's arm, she realized that she's Katherine and quickly went to other room to call Elena. Elena answered telling her that she's coming to the funeral soon. Katherine came and threatened Bonnie. She was just about to bite her, but the doors opened and Stefantold her to leave Bonnie alone. Stefan and Katherine walked and talked. When he said that he hates her, she stabbed poke in his stomach and left. During the event Tyler and Jeremy talked and drank. When Mason saw them he joined Tyler, while Jeremy left.

Carnival (2/27/10) Location: Mystic Falls High School

The Carnival is an annual event in Mystic Falls High School. The event was shown in the Season Two episode, Brave New World.

Elena Gilbert was the one in charge of the event on behalf of Caroline since she was still in the hospital at the moment.

At the Carnival, Carter flirted with Bonnie. Damon compelled him to pick a fight with Tyler to see if he or Mason will use some supernatural moves. Stefan witnessed the fight and found something unusual with what Mason had acted. Mason jumped really high and Tyler for a second saw Mason's yellow eyes. Jeremy was still mad at Damon and Jeremy thought he was invincible since he had a Gilbert Ring.

Caroline came here after she compelled a nurse to let her go out of the hospital. Caroline killed Carter shortly after running into him. Damon told her he was going to help her (by killing her), but Stefan came. Bonnie was so mad that she put Damon on fire. Elena jumped across the flames and stopped her. At dawn, Stefan brought Elena here for a kiss at the top of the Ferris wheel.

Tyler's Party (2/28/10) Location: Woods

Tyler's Party was a swimming party organized by Tyler in the woods near the Lockwood Mansion. It was the night of a full moon.

During this party, we first saw Aimee Bradley, who flirts with Matt. When Caroline saw that she compelled Aimee to go and find someone who's single to flirt with. Tyler brought Aimee to the old cellar. When Mason came there to tie himself up, he saw Tyler and Aimee and left to lock himself up somewhere else. When he started kissing Aimee, she looked uncomfortable and suddenly refused to make out with him anymore, telling him that she wasn't sure why she came and she likes Matt.

Caroline went into the woods with Matt. When they started making out, Matt had a cut in his wrist that made Caroline lose control because of the blood. She bit his wrist and sucked the blood out of his neck. Stefan came and stopped her. He was aware of the werewolf and told her to run as fast as she can. They stopped near the old Lockwood property and saw Tyler, then the werewolf (Mason) suddenly attacked Caroline. Stefan saved her. While the werewolf is about to launch another attack, Tyler yells "stop!", the wolf then looks at Tyler like he knows who Tyler is and runs off. Later by Mason's car, Mason told Tyler that he's a werewolf.

Jenna's Barbecue (3/4/10) Location: Gilbert House

Jenna Sommers organized it and held it at her house. Technically, it was Damon's idea to take advantage of the fact that Jenna and Mason went to high school together. With a purpose of knowing more about Mason, he told Alaric about the idea and Alaric told Jenna to make it happen.

Elena, Damon, Mason, Alaric, Caroline and Jenna herself were present at the barbecue. Stefan was also invited, but was busy intriguing with Katherine's intention to come back to Mystic Falls.

Jenna introduced Mason to Damon and Alaric as an old friend from high school. Jenna told Mason that the barbecue was Alaric's idea. Alaric told Mason that it's for digging some dirt of Jenna's past. They later played Pictionary, Damon was drawing a dog with a skirt, Jenna said it was a "dress, ballerina", Caroline said "puppy with a chuchu", Mason said it was a "wolf", then finally Damon said he was correct.

Elena and Caroline left the barbecue early because Elena was worried about Stefan since she wasn't able to reach him for the whole time. Caroline offered to drive her to him but had the real intention to occupy her because Katherine ordered her to.

Damon made several indications to Mason that he knows about him being a werewolf. Later, they talked in private and Mason offered Damon peace. Damon accepted the offer, but later followed him to kill him, which he did not manage to do.

Mystic Falls Historical Society Volunteer Day (3/5/10) Location: Park

Mystic Falls Historical Society Volunteer Day was an event in 2010, on March 5th. The Fell Family donated money so Mystic Falls community could built a park. Carol Lockwood was the host of this event.

Stefan offered peace to Mason, which he seemed to accept with a handshake. But afterward, he told Sheriff Forbes that Damon and Stefan are vampires. She didn't want to believe it, as Damon was one of her best friends and a member of the Founder's Council, but Mason told her he would prove to her that he was right. He put vervain in the lemonade for the volunteers. When Damon drank it, he naturally started choking, whispering "vervain" under his breath to alert Stefan of what was happening. Sheriff Forbes saw that the vervain affected him, and called in her deputies for backup. Damon and Stefan assumed that Mason put vervain in lemonade to provoke him, and decided that they needed to take Mason out to protect themselves. They went to follow him in the woods when the Sheriff and her deputies shot them both multiple times with wooden bullets, incapacitating them. Meanwhile, Caroline and Elena, who was pretending to fight with Stefan to assuage Katherine's demands, were talking when Caroline noticed her mother following Mason into the woods. 

Caroline and Elena ran into Mason while they were following the Sheriff. Mason taunted Elena when she asked if he had seen Stefan, and threatened to out Caroline as a vampire to her mom as well. Caroline snarled at Mason, so he grabbed Elena, putting her in a headlock, and snapped, "Be careful, necks snap real' easy around here." Caroline stated that she can take him, and punched him, giving Elena the opportunity to run away. Caroline then kicked him in the stomach, causing Mason to fly against a tree, allowing them to move on to the Lockwood cellar.

The Sheriff was interrogating Stefan and Damon about how many vampires are in town, and how they can walk around in the daylight. Damon pleaded that he and Liz are friends, but she yelled that their friendship was a lie and asked them the questions again. When they refused to answer, they were shot again with wooden bullets. Caroline, outside the cellar, heard her mother tell the deputies to stake them both and to set fire to the bodies when they were done. When she informed Elena of what was happening, Elena ran down into the cellar to go help them. Caroline tried to stop her, as she couldn't admit to her mother that she's a vampire, but Elena went ahead and rushed inside, shouting at Sheriff Forbes to not hurt them. Caroline suddenly ran in a flash around the guards, shutting the cellar door and startling her mom and the deputies, as she was moving so fast that they didn't know who it was at first. One of the deputies started shooting, and Caroline used the other deputy as a shield against the bullets before biting and feeding on the shooter. She finally stopped, panting, and walks slowly out of the shadows, with her vampire face still present and smeared with blood, before awkwardly saying hi to her mom. The Sheriff was shocked to realize her daughter was a vampire. Damon recovered by feeding on the dead deputies, while Elena helped Stefan relax and resist the blood in front of him. Then, they all debated about what to do next. Sheriff Forbes begged Damon to just kill her, as she was so upset to find out that her daughter is a vampire that she wanted to die. She even refused to look at or speak to her daughter, despite the fact that Caroline was refusing to allow Damon to kill her.

Eventually, Damon admitted that he doesn't want to kill Sheriff Forbes, because they're friends, as he said before, and ultimately decided that they would keep her in their cellar until the vervain left her system, and then he would compel her to forget everything she learned that day. Sheriff Forbes ended up pretending to be sick to get out of work, and instructed Damon to keep Caroline away from her. He argued that Caroline is her daughter, but she simply replied "Not anymore." Damon, annoyed with her ignorance, tells her that she has no idea how wrong she is, while Caroline stood outside in shock as she overheard their conversation.

Masquerade Ball (3/24/10) Location: Lockwood Mansion

The Masquerade Ball is a Halloween event/party in Season 2 taking place at the Lockwood Mansion.

In Plan B, the townspeople were preparing for this event. Then, in Masquerade, the event took place.

Lucy came to see Katherine after she was invited to come to help her get the Moonstone. Katherine decided to go to the Masquerade Ball disguised as Elena, as she knew Elena wasn't going due to Jenna's accident. She met Caroline earlier that day at the Mystic Grill and told her to tell Stefan and Damon that she wanted the moonstone that night at the Masquerade Ball or she would "rip this town apart until it rained blood."

Damon, Stefan, Bonnie, Jeremy and Caroline then put together a plan to kill Katherine with the help of Alaric's weapons.

Before the event, Katherine compelled Matt to fight with Tyler and not to stop until Tyler kills Matt, so he could activate his werewolf gene. Damon, Stefan, Bonnie, Jeremy and Caroline went to the masquerade, while Elena stayed at home with Alaric. His job was to keep Elena safe in the house. Upon arrival, Bonnie put a spell similar to the one used on the tomb on a room to trap Katherine inside.

Katherine came to the ball with everyone thinking she was Elena. She threatened Stefan into dancing with her and when Aimee Bradley came over looking for Matt and complimenting "Elena" on her dress, Katherine killed Aimee by breaking her spine and pushing her body into horrified Stefan's arms. She threatened him by saying "The moonstone, Stefan. Tick tock."

Bonnie had weird vibes about Lucy at the ball and bonded with Jeremy. When Elena learned everyone was at the ball, she snuck out of the house to see what everyone was up to.

The plan started with Stefan and Katherine dancing and Stefan trying to convince her to go with him to get the moonstone. When that failed, Jeremy went to her and told her Damon and Stefan wanted her to meet them by the lake. Katherine was not fooled and mocked him by saying "How's Uncle John? Did they manage to sew his fingers back on?" She walked away and Elena pulled Jeremy behind a bush and asked him what was going on.

Then it was Caroline's turn. She was in the bathroom when Katherine slammed her into the wall and asked why Jeremy was trying to lure her out to the lake. She revealed that Stefan and Damon were trying to kill her. When Katherine began to choke her, she revealed Bonnie that has the moonstone and is upstairs.

Katherine pulled Caroline upstairs with her and entered the trap. Caroline laughed at her from outside and when Katherine tried to attack her, she found that she couldn't leave the room.

Stefan appeared behind Katherine and Caroline left. When Damon shot Katherine in the back with a wooden dart, Elena screamed and collapsed as she had a wound in the same place as Katherine, unbeknownst to the Salvatores. When Stefan got Katherine in the arm, Elena started bleeding there as well. Turns out Katherine had Lucy tie Elena to her so if anything happened to Katherine, it would happen to Elena as well. The brothers almost defeated her, but as Bonnie and Jeremy were with Elena when this happened, Jeremy stopped them from killing Katherine, as Elena would die too. The brothers were shocked at how they were hurting Elena. Katherine knew that everything that happens to her; also happens to Elena. Knowing this, Katherine scrapes her hand with the stake, adding a lot of pressure.Still trapped together, the brothers tried to get Katherine to reveal what she wanted with the moonstone but were unsuccessful.

Lucy then arrived, announcing the spell was broken and that she had the moonstone. She made Katherine promise as soon as she gave it to her, her debt was paid. Katherine agreed but when she touched the moonstone, she collapsed and looked like she was suffocating. Lucy found out Katherine was playing her against Bonnie, another Bennett witch and that she and Bonnie put a spell on the moonstone that would incapacitate Katherine. When Stefan worried that this was hurting Elena, Lucy said she broke the tie between Elena and Katherine and that Elena would be fine. She apologized for her involvement with Katherine and left, leaving Katherine to the mercy of the Salvatore brothers.

In the subplot: Matt was partying with Tyler and Sarah. Matt got drunk and started pouring beer on Tyler's pictures and insulting him and they began to fight. Caroline heard that and came to stop them. She did and she knocked out Matt. Then it is revealed that Sarah was also compelled by Katherine to fight with Tyler until he kills her and when she stabbed Tyler, he shoved her into a desk, instantly killing her. Tyler tried to wake her up and was terrified at what he had done and what it meant. When Caroline asked what was happening, he looked at her with his eyes glowing, indicating he had triggered the werewolf curse upon himself. Caroline then confessed she knew what was going to happen to him.

Timberwolves Booster Club Barbecue (3/31/10) Location: MFHS

Timberwolves Booster Club Barbecue was an event in the Mystic Falls High School. It took in the Season Two episode, The Descent.

During this event, Caroline informs Tyler that one werewolf bite can kill a vampire. Matt interrupted them. Caroline and Matt talked before sharing a kiss together.

Recent Victims Memorial (4/1/10) Location: Mystic Square

Recent Victims Memorial or Mystic Falls Celebrates the Lives is an event held in Mystic Falls.

After a few campers went missing (Jules killed them) and few other people, including Eddie, Jill and Maintenance Worker (all killed by Rose) and Jessica (Damon killed her), the town decided to make a memorial for them. Carol Lockwood attended it. Also, it was the place where John talked to Jeremy for the first time after The Return. Bonnie and Dr. Martin talked about Elijah.

Historical Society Tea Party (4/2/10) Location: Lockwood Mansion

Historical Society Tea Party was an event held in 2010. Carol Lockwood organized and held it on the Lockwood Mansion.

Carol introduced Elijah and Damon, which went to the party just to met him. When they were talking on a desert room, Damon tried to attack Elijah, but he showed an extreme force, and after call Damon arrogant, he stabbed him with a pencil. He also said he was an Original and told Damon to keep Elena save. Then, he left Damon bleeding.

John caused Alaric asking him if Jenna knew about his extracurricular activities and Alaric answered calling him dick. Then John told him to not sleep at her house anymore, asked his ring back, and left.

Also this is the first episode where John and Alaric meet in the beginning when Jenna and Alaric come downstaris from their "sleepover." This is also the episode when Elijah, Jenna, Damon, Alaric, and Andie have their dinner party when Damon tries to use the dagger John gave him that was dipped in white oak tree ash. You later find out that the dagger would kill Damon if he used it.

1960's Decade Dance (4/26/10) Location: MFHS

60's Decade Dance was an event that occurred in the Season Two episode, The Last Dance.

The dance was the following on from the Fifties Decade Dance that took place in the Season One episode Unpleasantville.

The dance was the setting for the first confrontation between Elena, Damon, Stefan, Bonnie and Klaus. Klaus had taken over history teacher, Alaric Saltzman's body, unbeknowist to everyone.

After discovering that Bonnie could not use all of her powers without dying herself, Klaus used his own witch Maddox to make his body strong enough to withstand her powers so that he could kill her and continue with his plan to break the hybrid curse.

It wasn't long before it was discovered that Klaus was in Alaric's body and after Damon discovered the truth about Bonnie he persuaded her to use her powerful magic to trick Klaus.

After fighting Klaus and using all her magic against him, Bonnie dies much to the devastation of Stefan and Elena, however, it is later revealed that Bonnie can come back to life and now Klaus thinks she is dead they will be able to use her in the sacrifice.

The Sacrifice (4/28/10) Location: Steven's Quarry

The Sacrifice is an event planned and orchestrated by the original hybrid named Niklaus Mikaelson. The goal of the sacrifice was to break the curse that was put on him over a thousand years ago by his mother Esther to keep his werewolf side dormant. In order to break the curse as soon as possible, he made up rumors about various curses in various cultures involving vampires and werewolves, including the Aztec etchings about The Sun and Moon Curse, all of which needed the moonstone and a Petrova doppelgänger. His hope was that once the moonstone and doppelgänger were found, he would hear about it, and could take the ingredients by force to finally break the curse.

The sacrifice took place at Steven's Quarry in Mystic Falls, the doppelganger's birthplace during the full moon, so his witch could channel the power to complete the spell.  He first sacrificed the werewolf Jules; then the vampire Jenna Sommers, who was turned into a vampire especially for the sacrifice; and then finally he killed Elena Gilbert, the second Petrova doppelganger, by draining her of blood to the point of her death. The curse was finally broken immediately after and Klaus transitioned into a werewolf for the first time since triggering his werewolf gene 1,000 years ago. By breaking the curse Klaus gained new abilities, including transforming into a werewolf at will, being able to cure a werewolf bite with his blood, and the ability to create more Hybrids like himself, but only with the blood of the Petrova doppelgänger, which Klaus discovered in "The Reckoning".

Gone With The Wind Screening (assumed date is anytime from 4/30/10-5/12/10) Location: Mysic Square

Gone With The Wind Screening is an event that was featured in As I Lay Dying, the Season Two finale.

It was organized by the town (probably like a fundraiser) and a lot of people from town attended it. It also featured a small picnic. Elena, Jeremy, Bonnie and Caroline attended it. Before the movie had starte, Stefan came and told Elena that Damon was been bitten by Tyler (who was a werewolf) and had a fatal bite.

Later, Damon has escaped and he hallucinated that Katherine is there. Jeremy found him and brought him to the Mystic Grill. Then Sheriff Forbes came in. She aimed at Damon, to shoot him, but he quickly ran away and the bullet hit Jeremy. He found Elena and he tried to drink her blood. He collapsed on the ground. Jeremy died, but was brought back to life by Bonnie, gaining the ability to talk to ghosts upon his return from the dead.

Elena's 18th Birthday Party (6/22/10) Location: Salvatore Boarding House

Caroline throws Elena a huge part even though she doesn't really want one and if she has one she wants it to be small. Elena enters the party with Damon and is greeted by several people. Damon immediately takes a bottle alcohol away from some random girl for himself. Damon goes to hang out and drink with Alaric who feels super awkward at a highschool party as a history teacher. Damon leaves to go pick up Andie from work. Elena hangs out with Caroline and walks in on her brother and Matt smoking. Elena tells Alaric to go talk to him. Elena later finds out that Damon has been looking for Stefan all along and she ends up fighting with Damon about it, unaware that Damon's "Fake Compelled Girlfriend" has just been killed by Stefan. Damon tells Elena to give up on Stefan.

Senior Prank Night (8/31/10) Location: MFHS

Senior Prank Night happened before the schoolyear began at Mystic Falls High School. This happens in the Season 3 episode, The Reckoning, where the seniors go around the school and play pranks, such as placing rat traps on the classrooms floors or gluing shut teachers desks and even putting honey on the door handles.

Caroline is determined to see that Elena, Bonnie, Matt and Tyler all enjoy a traditional Senior Prank Night before the school year begins at Mystic Falls High School.

Klaus crashed the event, however, ruining Elena, Bonnie, Matt, Tyler, and Caroline's plans, while Stefan was forced into becoming the ripper once more. Dana and Chad die at Senior Prank Night because Klaus compelled Stefan to turn his humanity off and kill them. This is also where Tyler is fed blood via Klaus and killed. Bonnie had to find a way to save Tyler in transition into one of Klaus's hybrid's from dying and with the help from Matt later succeeds in saving Tyler as he transitions into Klaus's first successful hybrid.

Back To School Party (9/1/10) Location: The Woods

The event appeared once again in Season 3, one year had passed and it was once again the beginning of the schoolyear, Alaric, Damon, Elena, and Caroline used the party to execute their plan to capture Stefan, who had turned off his humanity. Elena pretended to become drunk much to the amusement of Stefan who followed her as she left the party, Still pretending to be intoxicated she climbed up some railings and fell from a large height forcing Stefan to catch her. While he was distracted Alaric shot him in the back. However thanks to Vicki Donavon who tried to kill Elena, the plan was unsuccessful.

Night Of Illumination (9/2/10) Location: Mystic Square

The Night of Illumination is a celebration that was first started in Mystic Falls by the Founding Families over 150 years ago, a tradition that the townspeople still enjoy annually.

On this very special night, all of the people living in Mystic Falls turn off the lights in their houses and the streets, and then light up paper lanterns to celebrate the anniversary of their beautiful town. The Night of Illumination is first seen the Season Three episode, Ghost World.

Homecoming Dance (9/4/10) Location: Mikaelson Mansion

The Homecoming Dance was an event that occurred in the Season Three episode, Homecoming.

Klaus asked Tyler throw this party to celebrate Mikael's death, which wasn't true and this was one of Damon's plan to drive him back to Mystic Falls. At first, this was supposed to be held at Mystic Falls High School but after the gym was flooded, it was moved to the Lockwood Mansion.

Caroline attended the event, she was angry about Tyler's sire bond to Klaus. Tyler takes her into his room and injects her, later he asked Matt to help him get her out of there and said, he didn't want Caroline to be involved in what was to happen that night.

Bonnie also attended the event, and was taking Tyler down with aneurysm when he was about to bite Damon. She was shocked when gets to know about the White Oak Stake, through Damon.

Matt was present at the event. Rebekah was supposed to be his date, when he goes to the Salvatore Mansion, to pick her up, Elena asks him to be her date, he agrees. Both of them were seen together at the event.

During the event, Stefan, Damon, Mikael and Rebekah planned to kill Klaus. Klaus made sure that Elena was present, and revealed that if Damon killed him, his hybrids would kill Damon. The party goes well, until Klaus was told that a guest was to meet him. After seeing Mikael, he was visibly angered.

Mikael grabs "Elena", threatens him, and stabs her. To everyone's shock, it wasn't Elena, but it was Katherine, who throws wolfsbane grenades at the hybrids and runs. Mikael was killed by Klaus, with the White Oak Stake. Klaus was terribly frustrated, as the party had not turned out to be according to his expectations. He then calls Rebekah saying that it's time to go, not knowing that she was already daggered by Elena.

Wickery Bridge Restoration Fundraiser (9/17/10) Location: Founder's Hall

Wickery Bridge Restoration Fundraiser was an event featured in Our Town. The fundraiser was held at Founder's Hall for the restoration of Wickery Bridge; Alaric Saltzman, Damon Salvatore, Carol Lockwood, Meredith Fell and Klaus were in attendance.

It is unknown how much they raised, but it is known that Klaus made a generous donation.

In Break On Through, we found out that the fundraiser was a success as the whole town gathered to see restoration. It is later revealed the bridge is made of white oak wood, which can kill all of the Originals.

Mikaelson Ball (9/22/10 @7PM) Location: Mikaelson Mansion

The Mikaelson's Ball was an event that occured in the Season Three episode Dangerous Liaisons, after Esther reunited her family. It was held at the renovated Mikaelson Family Mansion.

The true reason why Esther held the ball was so she could bring her children together and to use Elena in a ritual that would bind the Originals together in a spell, so that if one of them is killed, all of them would die as well.

1920's Decade Dance (10/1/10) Location: MFHS

20's Decade Dance was an event featured in the Season 3 episode, Do Not Go Gentle. Caroline meant it to be a 70's decade dance, but Rebekah took over the committee and changed it to the 20's. Caroline certainly did not agree with it. Klaus dancing with Caroline. During the 20's Decade Dance, Esther turned Alaric into an Original Vampire and a true vampire hunter.

Caroline's 18th Birthday Party (10/4/10) Location: A Crypt

Caroline's 18th birthday occurred in the episode Our Town, amidst the violence surrounding Stefan Salvatore's crusade against Klaus and his hybrids. Having lost her boyfriend to Klaus when he was sired to him by the hybrid bond, Caroline was having a bad time adapting to everything and she even started to hate the fact that she was a vampire.

Elena, Bonnie and Matt surprise her with a birthday party but she tells them that she doesn't feel like having a birthday due to the fact that she will forever be seventeen, an age she hated. However, in a twist, Elena decides to take them to the Mystic Falls Cemetery where they decide to hold the funeral of Caroline Forbes, the one who died at the hands of Katherine Pierce when she turned her into a Vampire.

However, the party goes sour first when Bonnie starts chastising Elena for her decision to compel Jeremy to leave Mystic Falls. Secondly, it goes wrong when Tyler comes and tells Caroline that his love for her allows him to overcome Klaus's sire bond. However, it is revealed that he can't and he accomplishes Klaus's order to bite Caroline in retaliation for Stefan's attacks on his hybrids. Things get even worse when, in an attempt to get Klaus to bow down to him, Stefan attacks Matt and captures Elena. He then feeds her his blood and threatens Klaus by driving fast towards Wickery Bridge, which would kill Elena. Klaus backs down before he can do it.

Matt Donovan brings Caroline Forbes who is suffering from the werewolf bite to her mother, Sheriff Elizabeth Forbes, where they try to find a way to save her. Surprisingly, Klaus comes to their house and offers to repair his earlier actions by curing Caroline. Although reluctant at first, Liz allows Klaus in and he heals Caroline, nor before he first tells her about himself and how he thought the life he had had made him consider suicide at some point. He then realized that immortality had given him the possibility of seeing the world and all its beauties such as art and cities and music. He then tells her that he can heal her but that the choice must be hers. Caroline accepts to be healed and the next morning, wakes up fully recovered from her bite and a diamond bracelet by her bed; a birthday gift from Klaus.

Council Memorial (10/9/10) Location: Mystic Falls Church

Council Memorial is the first event of Season Four, and is the result of the deaths of all active members of the Town Council.

It was held in Mystic Falls Church after Pastor Young blew up himself and the whole council.

Pastor McGinnis was in charge for the speeches. Connor stabbed April and had bound and gagged her at some point during the service, using her as bait to track down the vampires in the town. Connor had tried to shoot Elena, but Stefan moved her. Instead, Tyler was shot by Connor.

Anti-Curfew Party (10/11/10) Location: Rebekah's House

The Anti-Curfew Party was organised by Rebekah after Carol Lockwood instituted a Curfew after Tyler was shot. The Anti-Curfew Party took place at Rebekah's new house in The Rager.

The Anti-Curfew Party was arranged by Rebekah after Tyler was shot in the previous episode. Rebekah arrived in school the morning saying that it started after 5th period, and last until whenever, giving Elena and Stefan a flyer. She asked Elena to attend if she wants to "bury the hatchet".

Elena and Stefan arrive at the party and Stefan compels a boy to hand him his drink before making their way inside, seeing students milling around socializing and drinking from a keg. Elena heads into the kitchen and meets with April, who is happy she knows somebody there. She and April talk about the Council Explosion and April's father, saying she doesn't believe it was an accident, before Rebekah walks in.

After sending April on her way to look around the house, Elena demands to know if Rebekah caused the explosion. Rebekah denies this and scornfully tells her "I don’t give a damn about some dodgy, middle aged Council. You come into my house throwing around false accusations and then you have the nerve to drink my beer?", before snatching the cup out of Elena's hand and drinking. Elena glares at her before she hears a sizzling, she looks down to see her skin burning from the sunlight, realizing Rebekah took her daylight ring. She quickly runs into the corner of the room and angrily watches Rebekah throw her ring down the drain.

When Rebekah leaves, Elena manages to grab her ring from the drain and puts it on her finger in time. She grabs her bag and pulls out the White Oak Stake, and turns around, heading for Rebekah. Stefan catches her before she can leave and reminds her that killing Rebekah would do no good and the guilt of killing the vampires from her bloodline would destroy her. Elena sighs and retracts the stake, giving it to Stefan.

Elena and Stefan head outside the leave, where Rebekah taunts if they're leaving so soon. Elena turns to her saying she hasn't had a drink yet before hand-standing onto the keg and drinks as everyone begins to chant around her. As Elena returns to the ground, Rebekah seethes as Elena and Stefan leave but is confused when a sudden blur passes over her eyes. She looks into a mirror and sees veins creeping around her eyes.

Hours later, Rebekah is in her room, the party having died down and hallucinates Matt entering her room. They talk for a moment before Matt tells her "the reason you don't find love is because you don't deserve it". She rips his heart from his chest with tears in her eyes at her actions. She wakes with a start, seeing April walking around her room with a trash can in her hand, telling her that the deputies weren't happy with the party.

Rebekah wasn't the only one having ill-effects, whilst Elena and Stefan were kissing, she began to feel ill and Stefan realizes Damon's words that the hunter poisoned the party's beer with Tyler Lockwood's hybrid venom, in an attempt to kill all vampires in attendance. Klaus saves her life, although Rebekah's symptoms pass without his blood.

Exhibition Of The First Immortal (10/15/10) Location: Whitmore College

Atticus Shane gave a presentation on the history of the world's very first immortal being, Silas, and the story about his relationship with his former best friend, Qetsiyah, and his tragic fate.

Days after exposure, Shane mentions that Silas found a way to reverse the immortality, but his former best friend buried him in darkness along with the cure.

Murder House Party (10/31/10) Location: Whitmore College

Murder House Party was an event in the Season Four episode, The Five at Whitmore College. It is a dress up party where attendees dress up as infamous murderers or their victims.

When Bonnie shows a "Murder House Frat Party" invitation to Damon and Elena, Damon sees it a s a perfect opportunity to teach Elena how to feed. Damon arrives at the party dressed up as Jack the Ripper and the girls dresses up as his victims. Bonnie goes to meet Professor Shane while Damon asks Elena to choose a person to feed. Elena immediately finds the boy she wants to eat. She lures him away easily and drinks deeply. Damon supervises, and begins to worry that she is drinking too much. She stops herself, and proudly hugs Damon. But she wants more.

Meanwhile, Bonnie and Shane talk about witchcraft and he says he can show her a few things. Back on the dance floor, Damon and Elena drink from anyone unlucky enough to dance with them. Elena and Damon then come together, both with bloody mouths, and dance together seductively, on a blood high. Elena catches sight of Bonnie and immediately feels guilty for enjoying herself.

Elena is outside and wiping blood off her mouth and tells Bonnie she should be here with Stefan. Damon steps outside in time to hear that last bit. Bonnie accuses him of wanting Elena to go over the edge. He argues that she needs to learn to revel in being a vampire. Not hating herself and enjoying it will be the only way she, like him, can make feeding fun and not go nuts and kill hundreds of people. Damon walks away hurt and Elena begins to cry as she realizes what she has done to him.

Miss Mystic Falls Pageant (11/29/10) Location: Founder's Hall

Miss Mystic Falls Pageant is a beauty pageant held annually in Mystic Falls. Typically, the daughters of the Founding Families compete against each other for the title of Miss Mystic Falls, though other members of the town have been known to enter the pageant as well. Carol Lockwood, amongst others, chooses who will be competing in the competition each year.

In 2011 pageant Valerie Fell, Amber Wolverton, Michelle Cunningham, Brianna Johnson, Katherine Wilson, and April Young were chosen by town officials to participate. The event took place in the Founder's Hall.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner: Valerie Fell with Dylan Clark. Amber Wolverton with Hector Linsey. Michelle Cunningham with unknown. Brianna Johnson with unknown. April Young was awarded Miss Mystic Falls.

Winter Wonderland (12/26/10) Location: Mystic Falls

Winter Wonderland was a charity event during December 2010 featured in O Come, All Ye Faithful. Klaus' donation was a snowflake painting.

The event is first shown in the Town Square, during the conversation with Tyler Lockwood and Caroline Forbes on the plan against Niklaus. After Caroline fails to convince Tyler about of error of his plan, she calls Stefan and reveals the plan of the hybrids. Caroline meets Niklaus in the Grill. They have a small but motivated conversation. Caroline tries to distract Niklaus, and Stefan finds the sword of Alexander and prevent hybrids act against Niklaus.

Carol Lockwood's Memorial (12/28/10) Location: MFHS

The Memorial of Carol Lockwood was held in After School Special.

After she was killed by Klaus, the town organized a special memorial for her in Mystic Falls High School.

Sheriff Elizabeth Forbes and Rudy Hopkins spoke about Carol during the memorial.

Carol Lockwood's memorial is held in the school's gym, led by Sheriff Forbes. Tyler, furious and distraught over his mother's death, leaves the gym in the middle of Elizabeth's speech. Elizabeth reveals Rudy Hopkins (Bonnie's father) as the new mayor. Elena sees Rebekah for a moment, but she disappears. Elena leaves the memorial to follow Rebekah.

Cheerleading Competitions (1/21/11) Location: MFHS

Elena's emotions are off and we see a different side of her. Elena makes her first act of cruelty at the Mystic Falls High cheerleading competition, where she fed on a cheerleader and stole her ribbon. When Stefan confronts her she rebuffs him. Caroline tries to stop her from competing but Elena challenges her to make her stop. She also tossed Caroline into the air and casually dropped her during the team's cheerleading routine (possibly as revenge for Caroline's earlier action). Outside, Stefan vervains Elena and takes her to his house.

Elena's Wild Party (1/21/11) Location: Salvatore Boarding House

In Bring It On, a bored Elena threw a wild party and later got into an ugly fight.

After causing trouble at the cheerleading competition earlier, Stefan brought Elena back to the boarding house to try to talk sense into her. Having turned off her humanity, Elena was indifferent to his concerns and ignored his speech in favor of texting invitations to a party at the house to random people. The guests showed up unexpectedly for the party and Elena quickly joined in on the fun. At first, Stefan and Caroline were uneasy about the idea, but since the majority of the guests couldn't be compelled to leave due to the vervain in the town's water supply, they eventually gave in and started to enjoy themselves. The two shared a dance and talked to each other about Stefan's tense relationship with Elena, and Caroline assured him that he would be okay eventually. Elena seemed briefly perturbed to see them together, but she quickly got over it and referred to Caroline as Stefan's "rebound." Sheriff Forbes somehow caught wind of the party, and when she arrived to find evidence of underage drinking and drug use, she immediately informed Elena she was shutting the party down. Elena, who, without her humanity, had no regard for Liz or their history, callously threatened to feed on her until Caroline showed up to stop her. She then took advantage of Caroline and Stefan being preoccupied with Liz's condition and fled the house. Shortly afterward, Caroline and Stefan realized that the party was always intended to distract them so she could get out of the house and leave to go look for her.

Later on, Damon came home to find the party still going on and briefly joined in, but was interrupted by Rebekah, who had followed him to continue nagging him about finding Katherine and the cure. Damon questioned her on her reasons for wanting to be human, and pointed out many of the human guests at the party in order to demonstrate that humanity was simply ordinary, while Rebekah being an Original was extraordinary and something she shouldn't be so quick to give up.

1980's Decade Dance (1/21/11) Location: MFHS

The 80's Decade Dance was an event in Mystic Falls High School in 2011. This event occurred in Season Four. It was cancelled by Mayor Hopkins, but Stefan found a charming way to make it up to a disappointed Rebekah. 

In A View To A Kill, Bonnie and Caroline were blowing up the balloons for the ball when Bonnie received a call from Elena over wanting to kill Kol.

This dance was supposed to be Rebekah's first school dance, after missing the last ones, and Stefan, whilst wanting to distract Rebekah and possibly grab the dagger off her, used this opportunity to make it up to her and give her the night she wanted.

Stefan chose music, including songs by and The Cure and Bon Jovi, handed Rebekah a koala corsage and they began to dance. Stefan was distracting her whilst Matt searched around her home for the missing dagger.

Prom (4/18/11 @8PM) Location: MFHS

Prom is an event at the Mystic Falls High School which occurs in Pictures of You.

Stefan and Damon escort an unhappy Elena to prom. She meets with Bonnie and Matt, who have come together. They try to comfort her, but she coldly rebuffs them, saying she is not happy with Bonnie because the latter had said she could bring Jeremy back but did not. Damon tries to get close to her, but Elena ignores his statements, pointing out Damon was the one who told her to turn off her humanity in the first place, and claims her love for him was apparently the product of the sire bond after all. Stefan then tries, but gets the same result.

Bonnie sees Jeremy (or, rather, imagines him) and shares a dance with him. She discovers it is really Silas when "Jeremy" tries to convince her to bring him back by giving the cure to Silas. Angry, she leaves. Caroline shares a dance with Stefan, and he admits he is having difficulty moving on from Elena because a part of him still cares for her. Caroline comforts him by saying it is natural, though she ends up leaving the prom she organized in depression over not having Tyler around.

Rebekah asks April to make her prom queen, not using her compulsion to do so, with Elena demanding she does. Rebekah asks Matt whether she would make a good human, but he says she will not because she has never done anything good, upsetting her. Damon is outside nostalgic as he thinks of Elena, and Stefan comes and bluntly points out that he and Elena had a real relationship, while she and Damon had sex that may have been caused by the sire bond. Angered, Damon charges at him only to be stacked by Stefan, revealing himself as Silas. Stefan is currently in the woods in a similar position.

Matt and Bonnie are crowned King and Queen, leaving Rebekah disappointed. Elena overhears the others' conversation about Silas and realizes that so long as Bonnie is around, Silas will prevail in breaking the veil that keeps the supernatural on the Other Side. If this happens, people such as Alaric and Jeremy will come back, and Elena does not want Jeremy to convince her to turn her humanity back on. She resolves to kill Bonnie to prevent this, as Silas needs her. Elena attacks Bonnie behind the curtains and Bonnie uses her Expression to stop her while wind and magic blow through the rest of the school and Bonnie tells Matt she has to leave. Confronted by Matt and April, Elena hits April's head on a desk, bites her and says, "That's for not letting Rebekah win Prom Queen', but she is actually sore from losing against Bonnie. Rebekah comes by and Matt asks her to heal a dying April with her blood, though it will cause her to lose her bet with Elijah.

Bonnie is once again met by Silas, and he makes her more upset by insisting she try to get Jeremy back by helping him. She says, "I will die before I can let you control me." The cars parked in the background's lights flicker and alarms rings. Her Expression powers get overwhelmed with frustration and anger as Silas yells, "Control, Bonnie, control!" Bonnie screams as she wins the battle for consciousness while using Expression and consciously pushes Silas out of her mind with her enhanced powers. He disappears just as Elena appears and bites Bonnie. Bonnie falls onto her knees while Elena starts to feel pain in her mind, the already angry Bonnie becomes enraged and the viewer sees that Bonnie's wounds heal rapidly, much faster than vampires or werewolves have been shown to heal. For the first time in a while, Elena is left in a vulnerable position until Stefan and Damon show up and Elena is almost killed by Bonnie. Bonnie stops and leaves in a fury saying, "None of this is okay." while Stefan injects Elena with vervain, knocking her unconscious. Rebekah heals April and Matt, regretting his previous statement, agrees not to tell anyone about the event. However, Klaus has seen it and demands she tell Elijah the truth. He implies he is planning something, Rebekah calls after him, "What does that mean? Niklaus, what does that mean?!" So Rebekah calls Elijah to warn him. However, Elijah had been tricked into giving the cure to Silas, who took on Rebekah's form.

Graduation Ceremony (5/6/11) Location: MFHS

Graduation took place in the Season Four finale.

Before the ceremony begins, Caroline is calling Klaus and telling his voice mail that she will be calling him once every ten minutes until he arrives in Mystic Falls to save Damon. She joins Bonnie and they are joined by Matt, then Elena and Stefan. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Caroline is moved that they are all there to graduate. Bonnie, who knows that this is one of the last moments she will have with her friends, is crying and manages to get in a covert goodbye to her friends when she mentions their future college plans. Elena reveals that she won't be going to college as she missed the deadline during her psychotic phase. However, Caroline reveals that their vampire abilities can make them do anything and go anywhere they want. As the joy of the moment overwhelms them all, Caroline proposes a group hug. Stefan starts to refuse, but is forced into it by Matt and Elena.

Mayor Rudy Hopkins opens the graduation ceremony before presenting the graduates, making an special mention for his daughter, Bonnie. As he hugs her in congratulations, she thanks him for everything, saying a quiet goodbye to him too. As she watches her friends graduate from the crowd, Bonnie runs into Kol who reveals that the entire place is crowded with the spirits of the supernatural creatures who were killed in the sacrifices to create her Expression Triangle and that when Kol gives the order, they will kill everyone. He then tells her that he wants her to drop the veil completely so that he and his friends could live. Bonnie leads him to the school boiler room to distract him.

Elena and Stefan are worried about Damon as he is dying by werewolf venom and has refused to take the cure when the witches of Aja's coven arrive and use their magic to attack Stefan, Caroline & Elena. However, before the witches can kill them, Klaus arrives and throws a cap at Aja, decapitating her and breaking the spell. He then threatens the rest of the coven, saying that he has endless caps and all day to kill them all again and again. Caroline is happy to see Klaus.

Whitmore House Party (9/22/11) Location: Whitmore College

Elena and Caroline attend the Whitmore House Party on the first day of their college. They enter and are greeted by Jesse. They try to enter inside the house but get stuck at the door as they have not been invited in. Megan sees them and wonders why they're standing there. Later, Elena gets a frantic call from Megan. She begs for help, but Elena can't come inside the building. Elena tries to get Megan to invite her inside but then they hear a scream and Megan comes plummeting out of the window above. She lands in front of them. She was attacked by a vampire. When the police tells them that Megan committed suicide they worry even more since the police is covering the murder.

End Of Summer Party (9/22/11) Location: Mystic Square

End of Summer Party was an event held in I Know What You Did Last Summer.

The event was hosted by the mayor Rudy Hopkins. Bonnie was also present in a form of a ghost. Silas interrupted mayor's speech and compelled him to let him talk and compelled all of the people in the square keep quiet and do not move, in a test the limits of his power. After that command he sliced mayor's throat. Bonnie screamed, but nobody could hear her. Then he compelled all of the people to seek for Katherine Pierce who looks exactly like Elena Gilbert.

Remembrance Day (9/30/11) Location: Mystic Falls Cemetary

Remembrance Day is a an annual holiday to honor the dead in Mystic Falls.

During the 1820s people were so paranoid about the cholera that they would occasionally bury a living body. Some requested to be buried with a string attached to a bell above ground, and then the whole family would hang around the grave for 24 hours in hopes of hearing the bell and that their loved one would come back. Nowadays it's serves as an excuse to get drunk.

Damon and Elena takes Stefan to the crypt where people are celebrating Remembrance Day by honoring those they lost with boozing and bell ringing. Damon leaves when he gets a text from Jeremy. Meanwhile, Jesse quizzes Caroline on bio. He asks if she invited him to prove something to her boyfriend. She then says she invited him because she wanted to hang out with him. He kisses her. When she balks, he goes back to quizzing her.

Stefan runs into Caroline. He's drunk and jokes about descending into ripper oblivion. Jesse brings Caroline beer, but when Stefan says he can smell the paper cut on Jesse's hand, Caroline compels Jesse to hide. Caroline turns to go to her car to get Damon a blood bag, but he disappears. Jesse calls Caroline, bewildered, when he finds himself hiding in a crypt. But Stefan finds him and chomps down on his neck. He stops and talks to Jesse, pleased with himself for not killing him. Stefan ponders what he has to show for sublimating his ripper side, including an ex-girlfriend who's now with his brother. He chomps down on Jesse again. Caroline finds Stefan and pulls him off Jesse, telling Stefan this isn't him. She feeds Jesse her blood to heal him.

Bonnie's Funeral (10/14/11) Location: The Woods

The funeral that was held for Bonnie Bennett in For Whom the Bell Tolls after Jeremy finally confessed that Bonnie had died in The Walking Dead.

Elena, Damon, Caroline, Jeremy, and Matt gathered around a tree stump in an open clearing in the woods. In their hands, each attendee carried a memento that held special meaning to their relationship with Bonnie and that reminded them of her. Jeremy gently laid down a beautiful photo of Bonnie laughing with Elena, Jeremy and Matt. Caroline followed suit and laid down black and red pom-poms from their high school cheerleading days. Matt placed a whistle that signifies the summers he and Bonnie used to lifeguard together on the stump. Elena released a handful of white feathers to honor the moment in season one when Bonnie revealed that was a witch. A grieving Damon offered Bonnie’s grimoire. Caroline and Elena, unable to cope with their despair, clung to each other for support. Their faces were stricken with utter desolation.

Bonnie, in ghost form, observed her friends openly grieving for her, which made the event even more heartbreaking for her. She fought the natural impulse to cry, but assured Jeremy that she would be fine. “It’s okay. They need this. I need this.” Although he was still concerned about how Bonnie was handling the funeral and coming to terms with her death, he walked over to the stump, retrieved the bell, and then rang it. “We ring this bell in Bonnie’s honor. In remembrance of her…” He paused, at a loss of how to do his beloved justice, but Bonnie, seeing how overwhelmed he was, stepped up to make her own speech for Jeremy to translate for her loved ones “Say I’m not going anywhere,” she told him. “Say that even though they couldn’t see me, I’ve been there all along.” Jeremy obliged and repeated her statement.

Bonnie then moved from friend to friend and delivered a special message for each of them. Her first stop was Elena. “I watched you have the summer of your life. I saw you happy. And I know you think now that you can’t have a normal life, that you have to be here for everyone, but you don’t. Everyone will find their own way. So, you are gonna repack your things and you are going to college, and you are going to live it up.” Bonnie’s reassuring words made Elena miss her even more, and she wilted into Damon's open arms.

Bonnie then walked over to Matt and smiled at him. “You didn’t do anything wrong, Matt. I would have sent you 300 emails back if I could. I miss you." Matt struggled to keep from breaking down, but Bonnie's soothing words made him so overwhelmed he was unable to keep himself from crying.

Bonnie then approached Caroline. “Caroline, I watched you decorate that dorm room like your life depended on it.” Caroline burst out laughing for just a moment before she began to sob. Bonnie also had difficulty composing herself to continue. “And I know college isn’t everything you expected, and that you feel like something’s missing, but….”

Suddenly, she glanced up, and she was surprised to see Tyler Lockwood, dressed in a dark suit, making his way through the clearing. In his hand was a single white rose. Bonnie and Jeremy both shouted "Tyler!" in unison, alerting Caroline to his presence. She ran toward him and hugged him tightly as he pulled her close to him. He seemed relieved by her reaction to his presence at the funeral. He then placed the flower down upon the tree stump.

At the sight of her friends reunited, Bonnie was overcome with tenderness towards them, causing her face to light up. “This is good,” she pointed out to Jeremy. "This is all I wanted. I’ll be okay. We’ll all be okay.” While she tried to stay strong in the middle of her funeral, Jeremy reached out and grabbed her hand, though neither of them could feel the other's touch.

Historical Ball (10/31/11) Location: Whitmore College

The Historical Ball was held at Whitmore College in Monster's Ball. 

At the Historical ball, Caroline arrives with Tyler where they meet Stefan who asks Caroline for a dance. Meanwhile Elena dressed as Anne Boleyn arrive and greets Damon who is dressed as King Henry XIII. He asks what's up and she tells him that she is feeling guilty about not realizing Bonnie was dead and spending a great summer with him. She's determined to make-up for it by solving the mystery of Megan's death. She sees Megan's mystery friend across the room and goes to talk to him. She compels some answers and learns that everyone around him dies. His name is Aaron. She compels him to forget her questions.

Tessa comes in dressed as Cleopatra and introduces herself to Stefan, but Damon pulls him away to talk to Silas. Then Damon snaps Stefan's neck. He asks Silas why he just killed Stefan. Stilas takes Stefan's costume and explains that killing Stefan severed their psychic link, so now he has his powers back. He wants to go read Tessa's mind to find out where the mystical anchor is, all Damon has to do is keep Stefan dead. He thinks a woman never forgets her first love, no matter how badly it ended. He joins Tessa at the bar for shots and pretends to be Stefan.

On the dance floor, Caroline suggests to Tyler that they get out of there. He has something he's trying to tell her, but can't seem to get it out. Silas-as-Stefan reveals himself to Tessa and uses his powers to ask where the anchor is. She doesn't know as she's looking for it too. The Travelers move it constantly. Her pendant is in one of the Whitmore displays and she needs it to increase her power so she can do a locator spell on the anchor. Stefan comes back to life with a crick in his neck, which Silas feels. Stefan accuses Damon of being desperate to prove to Elena that he's a worthy boyfriend. Damon happily snaps his neck again, buying Silas more time.

Elena asks Dr. Maxfield to dance to talk with him. He tells her he thinks a vampire hunted Megan down and killed her. When she asks what he knows about vampires, he tells her it doesn't matter, because there are people watching her and her friends and she needs to drop out and return to Mystic Falls. Caroline finds Tyler drinking alone. He tells her he can't do "the college thing." He can't get over the fact that Klaus killed his mother and got away with it, and the only reason they're together is because Klaus allowed it. He wants to find a way to destroy Klaus' life like Klaus destroyed his. Caroline points out that Tyler sounds an awful lot like Klaus, and walks away.

Tessa finds her pendant and Silas joins her. He's using his powers to learn the location of the anchor when Stefan wakes up again, crippling Silas. Except that Stefan plays dead so Damon can't tell if he's awake or not. Damon gets in close to inspect and Stefan takes the opportunity to spring up and snap Damon's neck. Tessa is wondering what's going on, when the real Stefan comes in and decks Silas. He takes his ring back and tells her he was working with Damon. Stefan leaves him there with Tessa, who reaches into his chest and wrings the blood from his heart, essentially freezing him in place. Dr. Maxfield, stops Aaron on the way out to take his keys. He's Aaron's legal guardian and manages his trust. He warns him to stay away from Elena. Later Damon and Elena find a desiccated Silas and takes him home.

Bonnie's Welcome Back Party (1/18/12) Location: Whitmore College

Elena and Caroline throw Bonnie a "welcome back from the dead" party after Bonnie returns to the land of the living in Dead Man on Campus.

Elena and Caroline organize a welcome back party for Bonnie in their college. At the party, Caroline is teaching Jesse to sublimate his vampire urges through grain alcohol. Elena tells Caroline that she sent Damon to question Wes Maxfield, but Caroline is pretty sure that means Damon is going to kill him. Bonnie sees an old women who passed through her before. The woman was a witch, but is doing fine on the other side since Bonnie helped her transition over. Jeremy interrupts their conversation and joins Bonnie.

On the dance floor, Caroline cozies up to Jesse and kisses him. He bites down on her lip and fully vamps out. He hides it from her and rushes out. Aaron arrives at the party and bonds with Elena over Jell-o shots and stories of how their parents died. He was out camping when he was six when he woke up to his mom screaming. They were covered in bite marks and everyone said it was a bear. He got passed around among relatives until he ended up with Maxfield. Elena leaves to go call Damon and make sure he doesn't kill Maxfield.

Tyler's Welcome Home Party (1/30/12) Location: Lockwood Mansion

Matt throws Tyler a welcome home party after his return from his revenge on Klaus mission in The Devil Inside. 

At the party, Katherine tries to learn where her body is. Stefan, thinking that she is Elena, tells her that Damon wants her back but she asks him if he knows where Katherine's body is because they should give her a funeral. Stefan says he doesn't know where the body is but that Damon said "he put her where she was always meant to be" and Katherine figures out where Damon put her body; at the tomb under the church where Damon thought she was all those years.

Katherine tries to say goodbye to everyone before she leaves the party so she can go to the tomb but Caroline wants to talk to her about what happened between her and Klaus. Katherine is shocked hearing the news but when she sees Tyler standing a little far away, she starts talking about it so he can hear her. Tyler gets angry hearing that and he leaves the room leaving Caroline standing there not knowing what to do. She later tries to explain him but he doesn't let her, reminding her all the horrible things Klaus had done. Caroline doesn't leave and he shouts her to get out while he is ready to turn into a wolf when Stefan comes in and stops him.

When Elena is able to gain control of her body she runs to the party and finds Damon. They both run towards each other and embrace tightly. But just as they embraced, the spell is completed and Katherine is able to get full control of Elena's body. Damon starts talking about how he screwed up and regrets it. He says that thinking that he could change her and make her a worse person gives him too much credit and her too little.

She's good, and he needs a little good in his life because without it there's an awful lot of darkness. Katherine starts talking and tells him that she doesn't want to be the only thing that he lives for. She doesn't want to worry about what happens if they break up and what he'll do like how he tortured Katherine. She says Damon was right to let her go and tells him it was over breaking his heart. Stefan hears the breakup and tries to be there for Damon but he refuses it and taunts him that he enjoyed it.

Bitter Ball (2/14/12) Location: Whitmore College

In Total Eclipse of the Heart, Whitmore College organizes a Bitter Ball for broken hearted students.

Damon and Enzo find Bonnie and Jeremy and interrupt them from going to the ball. They explain to Bonnie that they need to find Dr Wes so Bonnie will find someone to do the locator spell or Enzo is going to kill Jeremy. While Jeremy says that Damon is not going to hurt him, because Elena would never forgive him, Damon proves him wrong and says that Elena has already given up on him and takes Jeremy hostage while Bonnie is trying to figure out how to get some witch for locator spell to save Jeremy.

At the Bitter Ball, Katherine who is possessing Elena's body and Stefan share a dance and she tries to convince him that she has given up on Damon but they are interrupted by Caroline which makes Katherine wonder if Caroline has feelings for Stefan. Later, Damon and Bonnie arrive and meet Stefan and Caroline and Bonnie explains the situation to them. They show a photo of Jeremy being kidnapped by Enzo and Katherine appears and pretends to be panicked. She later begs Stefan to help her find Jeremy. Bonnie finds Liv asking for her help and she is able to locate Wes.
