- June 30th, 2022. 12:00pm -

Six months have passed since the Heartless War ended and life around Disney was slowly improving. With the help of the Underworld forces, both Disney and Tartarus began to deliver supplies to the realms that suffered the most damage. Such as the outer realms and the Realm of Raya. 

The Royal Navy went from realm to realm to make sure that there were no signs of the New Order. Rex, Iahfy & Meru return to Tartarus to make sure everything was okay. Moka, Bruno, Fuuno, Ace, Doppler, and Amelia returned to the realm of Treasure Planet for the time being to rebuild the spaceport and raise money to help families that were heavily affected during the war. Since the dark magic is no longer present, Catherine and Jess went to the realm of Frozen to help Anna and Kristoff rebuild Arendelle and welcome back the citizens. Of course, Repunzel and Eugene went there to help as well. Marco went back home to the other realms to make sure his family was alright. TJ went back to Zootopia with his Girlfriend, while Micheal and Chloe traveled to the realm of Moana for his brother's wedding. 

Boss, on the other hand, was alongside his parents who were still recovering from all the abuse that they had to endure from the New Order. Mickey and Minnie may be old, but they are strong as hell. 

Nurse: "Here is your cup of water, your majesty." [Hands Mickey a cup of water] "If there is anything else you need please don't hesitate to ask." [Smiles] 

Mickey: [Smiles] "Thank you... "

The nurse bowed at Mickey before she left the room leaving Boss, Mickey, and Minnie, who was sleeping, all alone. Mickey looked at Boss who was still trying his best to keep a smile on his face. He could tell that Boss was still hurting since James died. 

Mickey: [Trys to sit up and Boss helps him] "Thanks..."

Boss: [Chuckles] "I wouldn't push yourself too much, old man. You're still recovering."

Mickey: [Smirks] "Heh. I may be old, but I can stick kick some ass. Look at me, I feel young again."

Boss: [Rolls eyes and smirks] "I find that hard to believe. Especially if it's coming from you."

Mickey: [raises an eyebrow] "What do you mean?"

Boss: [Chuckles and crosses his arms] "I mean... you're 94 years old and your gonna turn 95 this year. You may have the appearance of a 30-year-old, but you're still old. Plus you're still recovering from all the abuse you have from the New Order. So I won't push it too hard, old man."

Mickey: [Smirks] "Like I said... I may be old, but I can still kick some ass."

Boss: [Rolls eye] "No need to show off..."

They shared a chuckle a little bit before Boss looked at him with a sad look on his face. Mickey noticed the sad look on his face and could tell that something was up. Just then, Boss got up and bowed to Mickey. Catching him by surprise.

Boss: [Serious tone] "I'm... I'm sorry... For everything. This last year and a half, I've finally realized my true purpose of being a prince. Being a prince doesn't mean I can constantly through parties here and there, or cause trouble to any of the Disney Princesses or Princes. Nor does it mean being cocky or annoying. Being a prince means that I have to set an example for the young generation and show them how responsible I am. I may have done things that I can't undo... but, I want to make it right..."

Mickey widened his eyes at Boss's response. Who knew that his son could change in over a year. he gave a soft smile as he opened his arms wide and Boss fell right into them. He gently stroke his hair as he smiled at him.

Mickey: [Smiles] "Even if you were a trouble maker before, You'll always be my son, and nothing will change that..."

Boss: [Hugs Mickey tighter] "I love you, Dad..."

Mickey was shocked when Boss called him dad. The last time he called him that was when he was 6 years old. That's a long time ago. 

Boss: [Both of them pull away] "Dad..."

Mickey: "Yes?"

Boss: [Serious look] "There's something we need to discuss..."

- July 7th, 2022. 12:00pm -

A week had passed by and Mickey and Minnie were almost fully recovered. Boss and his friends, including Rex and Meru, were in the throne room in presence of the King and Queen of Disney. Boss looked up at Mickey with a straight face and Mickey did the same thing.

Mickey: [Takes a breath and exhales] "The time has come. Set forth with my blessing, Prince Boss."

Boss nodded his head. Moka and everyone else were standing still while looking at the King and Queen.

Boss: [Bows down] "Thank you... Your Majesties..."

The air in the room was negative as Boss shifted his eyes toward his mother, Minnie. He could see that she had a straight face, but deep down, he knows that she is sad deep down. 

Minnie: [Straight face] "Take your leave, and go in the grace of the gods."

Boss: [Lift his head] "...Right."

As soon as Boss lifted his head, he walked past Moka and the others as they were caught off guard. But just before they were about to go after him, Moka stopped and turned around as she bowed to Mickey and Minnie before she left. Everyone else did the same thing before going after Boss. Minnie looked at Mickey and could tell that he was sad to see him go. Just then, she whispered something into Mickey's ear that turned his mode upside down.

As Boss and the others were walking toward their x-wings in the back of the castle, Iahfy put her hands in the back of the head while yawning.

Iahfy: [Smirks] "Well, princes will be princes."

Meru: [Walks next to Boss] "So much for royal protocol..."

Rex: [Looks at Iahfy] "Well, it's not you had to deliver a formal address..."

Iahfy: [Looks at Rex] "True. But still... By the way, I forgot to ask. What happened to your tomcat? I thought you would keep it."

Rex: [Smiles] "Oh that thing? Well, It's in the underworld parked at the old hanger of my home... I figure it was time for me to leave my past behind and move forward. Attessia and the others would have done the same..."

Meru: [Looks at Rex] "And somehow in some way, you can fly an x-wing now..."

Rex: [Looks a Meru with a smirk] "What can I say? I'm a fast learner... Besides, you need to earn your wings. You may be my co-pilot for now, but this can't keep up forever. I don't plan on dragging your ass by the time your 23..."

Everyone laughed a bit at Rex's response. Just then, Boss stopped walking catching everyone by surprise.

Moka: [Notices Boss Stopping] "What's wrong?"

Boss: [Looks back at the Castle] "Nothing... It's just..."

Marco: [Sad smile] "You're going to miss this place..."

Boss: [Looks at Marco & Nods] "Yeah..."

Catherine: [Concern] "Well, it's not too late to turn back..."

Boss: [Shakes head] "No. This is my decision and I'm sticking with it until the end. Oblivion is still out there and we need to hunt him down before he does any more damage to the outer realms." [Looks at Catherine] "I can't let him hurt anymore lives..."

Fuuno: [Chuckles] "It's gonna be dangerous that's for sure. We may not be accepted in the outer realms. We're Guardians from Disney after all."

Bruno: [Rolls his eyes] "Hmph. Even if they don't accept us... We'll always stick with you until the end, Boss." [Boss looks at Bruno and nods his head] "Which reminds me, are you really gonna give up the title Great Guardian of Disney and let the name fade into legend?"

Boss: [sighs and smiles] "Sometimes, it's for the best..."

Leonard: "Your Highness!"

Boss and his friends turned around and noticed Mickey and his butler, Leonard, walking up to them. Mickey still required a cane for his left leg. 

Boss: [Rolled his eyes and smirk] "What now?" [Walks up to Mickey] 

Moka and the others looked at each other as they watch Boss walk up to Mickey.

Mickey: [Smiles at Boss] "I fear that I have left too much unsaid." [Boss is about to help him, but Mickey put his hand up telling him that he is all set]  "You've placed a great burden on those who would bear with you."

Boss: [Smirks] "Ha. You're one to talk."

Mickey: [Looks at Moka and the others] "I ask not that you guide my troublesome son, merely that you remain at his side."

Moka: [Bows] "Of course, your grace."

Iahfy: [Smirks] "We'll make sure that he doesn't do anything stupid out there."

Bruno: [Bows] "Yeah, what she said."

Boss: [Rolls his eyes and looks at them] "Hate to break this up, but the longer we talk, the more realms Oblivion will conquer." [Looks at Leonard as he is walking away] "Leonard, he's in your hands."

Mickey: "And another thing..." [Boss stops walking a looks back at Mickey] "Do mind your manners where ever you go please."

Boss: [Walks backs. Smirks and Bows] "Your majesty, as well. Try not to cause any trouble while I'm gone and please don't start wars. Also, please try to mind yours around our esteemed guests from Tartarus..." [Moka and the others walked toward their x-wings] 

Mickey: [Smiles] "You have no cause for concern."

Boss: [Smirks] "Nor do you."

Mickey: [Worried look] "Remember. Once you leave the Disney verse, you cannot turn back."

Boss: [Smirks and puts his hands on his hips] "You think I would?"

Mickey: [Sighs] "I just need to know if you are ready to leave home behind."

Boss: [Shrugs] "Eh. Don't know about you, but I'm ready as I'll ever be..." [About to walk toward his x-wing] 

Mickey: "Take care on the long journey." [Boss stops and turns around. And Kneels to Mickey's level] "Where ever you go, I'll always be there to guide you in the darkest moments." [Puts a hand on Boss's shoulder and smiles] "Fly high, My Son."

Boss smiled at his father before realizing something.

Boss: [realized something] "Oh Shoot, I almost forgot."

Boss pulled out Sora's necklace and placed it on Mickey's hands. Catching him by surprise as he looked at his son with confusion.

Boss: [Sad smile] "Can you please deliver that to Kiari and her friends? Tell them, that I'm sorry for not saving him..."

Mickey: [Puts the necklace in his pockets and nods] "I will..."

Boss: [Makes his way toward his x-wing. Stops] "Oh! I almost forgot." [Glances back] "Take care of Mom for me." [Grins]

Mickey: [Smiles and nods] "You got it..."

Boss smiled at Mickey and made his way toward his X-wing. Just then, he spotted Admiral Amelia in the distance smiling at him. He waved his hand and smiled like a little kid. He was gonna miss her but he'll always remember her in his heart. But as he blinked again, he spotted ghostly forms of all the heroes and Guardians that died in the war right behind Amelia. He gave a soft smile before he jumped into his x-wing to meet up with the others. Amelia watched as Boss took off into the sky to meet up with the others, she knew that this wasn't goodbye. She'll see him again... but in the distant future. 

Amelia: [Sad smile] "Goodbye... young prince. I hope we meet again."

- Malvalon Dam, Valley of Death -

- Underworld realm -

- 1:00 pm -

Boss and the others were making their way through the dense forest that surrounded the dam, which was now refined after the Underworld government had retaken control of it. Katelyn and Wendy stayed close by as they approached the dam's artificial lake. In Boss's arm was a massive piece of Metal that was part of James's X-wing, While Wendy herself carried a bouquet of flowers. They were yellow, James's favorite color.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally reached a shaded clearing next to the lake as Boss, in silence, planted the metal fragment into the soft dirt and leaned it against a tree, making sure that the faded and slightly scorched Guardian logo looked back at them. Wendy handed the flowers to Katelyn as she stepped back and watched her approached the makeshift hollow grave. His body couldn't be found among the wreckage, so the D.R.A.F announced James dead. Katelyn laid the flowers before the metal headstone as a couple tears streamed down her face. Words couldn't describe the feeling that she was going through. Losing someone you love, is the hardest feeling in the world.

She wiped the tears from her eyes before she walked back to stand beside Boss and Wendy. The three of them were standing silent as they paid their respects to the memory of James Faulkner. After a few minutes of silence, Katelyn and Wendy, followed by the others, were making their way back to the X-wings as they left Boss all alone standing in front of James' hollow Grave. He reached into his pocket and pulled James's dog tag and placed it next to the flowers.

Boss: [sad expression] "We did it, James... We finally defeated the New Order. We won... You can rest now. You'll never suffer again... Love you, Buddy."
