Before starting today's chapter, I would like to thank all of you guys who supported me. Frankly speaking, I wasn't really expecting so much! Thank You Very Much! Okay enough talking, here is chapter 2. Enjoy! 😄✌️

In the Tree Of Life:

It was almost sunrise, and Rani slowly opened her eyes and noticed a very dim light through the entrance of the tree, not only did she notice a dim light but she also a noticed the warmth of a soft furry animal on her back and its paw was placed beneath her head, it was none other than Kion. Rani wanted to close her eyes and go back to sleep in the comfort of her mate.

She was a about to close her eyes when she remembered that King Simba had told them to wake up early to say goodbye to them. So, she got up making sure not to wake up Kion. When she succeeded to stand up without waking up Kion, she gave him a quick nuzzle and said softly, "Wake up, Kion." Kion slowly opened his eyes and said in a raspy morning voice, "What is it, Rani? Why did you wake me up?". "Because your parents are going to leave today morning.", "But it's not even sunrise." Kion said in a little annoyed tone, "Well, I thought we should go see the sunrise and then look over our lands." she said as she gave him another nuzzle, "Ok, okay! I'm up!", he said standing up.

Then, Rani started to stretch and Kion was just looking at her, Rani noticed him and asked, "What?" "Oh, no, no, nothing!" Kion said nervously as he started to stretch. When they were done stretching, they headed towards the watering hole to get fresh. After getting freshed, "It's not sunrise yet, maybe we can make up to the cliff before sunrise." Rani said, "I guess so, lead the way, Rani." Kion said, "Why? Did you forgot the way to the cliff?" Rani chuckled as she asked "No, no, I was just---" before he could finish Rani interrupted "It's fine, I was just joking. I'll lead the way" as they started walking towards the cliff to watch the sunrise.

When they were only 500 metres away from the cliff, "Catch me if you can, Kion!" Rani exclaimed as she ran off towards the cliff, ahead of Kion, "That's not fair!" Kion yelled as he started running. Obviously Rani won but only by a few seconds. They arrived at the cliff just in time and saw a small part of the Sun peeping from the bottom in the middle of the two mountains. "We came just in time!" Kion said arriving beside Rani, "Yes." Rani said as they began staring at the Sun and their land.

When the Sun was exactly in the middle of the two mountains, Rani asked, "It's so beautiful, isn't it?" "Huh? Oh yeah, it is!" Kion said but his voice and smile was dull. He sighed and looked down on the ground with his ears dropped down too. That is when Rani looked at him, "Um... Kion? Is something bothering you?" Rani asked in a concerned voice.

"No, it's just... *sigh*,pretty much Yes. I don't know if I would be a good king and will the residents of the Tree Of Life accept me as their leader?" Kion said with his ears dropped down.

"Oh Kion, you surely will be a great king, after all you are a great leader and you led the Lion Guard." Rani said moving her head under Kion's.

"Yes but leading the Lion Guard was different and being King is different." Kion said.

*Rani backs up her head*

"Oh come on Kion, I have seen you in action and you are a great leader, even better than me. Besides there is nothing my King can't handle!" Rani said as she gave him a slight friendly push on his shoulder with her paw. "Thanks Rani" Kion said with a smile.

The sun had already rose as Rani said, "Hey, let's get to your parents, they would be leaving soon!" "You're right, you go first, I'll catch up with you." Kion said as Rani started walking back.
When Kion was ensured that nobody was here, he looked up at the clouds and said, "Grandfather Mufasa?", as bright rays of light came and there appeared the face of his grandfather Mufasa.

"Yes Kion, I'm right here. I see something's troubling you. What's the problem?"

"As you would know, I became the King yesterday and something's going up on my mind that what if I can't rule well?" Kion said.

"I can totally understand what you are going through, Kion. This is the same feeling I got when I became King of the Pride Lands. Don't worry Kion, you will get used to it soon. You are more than just a great leader. You just need to remember that what makes you, YOU and have faith in yourself."

"Just have faith in yourself." He murmured and said "Thank You, Grandfather." Kion said as the spirit of Mufasa faded away.

Kion ran back and caught up with Rani. As they headed back towards the Tree, they saw that the Day and Night Pride have already gathered near the Tree (Yes, I chose the name of the Lion Guard to be Day Pride as they patrol during the day).

Kion and Rani ran towards the group and said, "We're really sorry, we just went on a walk." "Nah, you just arrived at the right time." Bunga said with full energy.

"So, any suspicious activities, Night Pride?" Kion asked.

"No, nothing suspicious." Baliyo said. "But I don't know why but I'm getting a feeling that something isn't right. I don't know why but I'm getting this feeling." Surak added.

"Um... Kion, I guess it can be right, Surak is an experienced warrior. I guess we should tell the Day and Night Pride to be on more alert." Rani whispered to Kion.

"So, Day and Night Pride, as Surak told that he is getting a feeling that something is not right, it can be true. That's why I want you all to be on full alert while patrolling and look out for any suspicious activity. We can't take any risks." Kion announced.

"You got it Kion!" Said Fuli and Baliyo in unison.

"Um... KING KION?--" Bunga said being interrupted by Kion, "Bunga! No need to be so FORMAL! We're friends!"

"Okay King Kion- oops I said it again. Okay enough, coming back to the point, are you coming with us on patrol today?" Bunga asked.

"Yes, if it's okay with Rani." Kion said as he turned and walked towards Rani and asked "So, what's your plan for today?" "Nothing much, just Penguino made a complain that a Polar Bear broke his ice slide. So, I'll have to go fix that problem and you can obviously go on patrol, no need to ask me!" Rani replied as she rolled her eyes.

"Okay take care." Kion said as he nuzzled Rani, "I will" Rani replied nuzzling him back. They totally forgot that their friends were standing there and Kion's family had already arrived there and they continue to nuzzle. After almost 30 seconds like that, Bunga broke the silence, "Ahem...!". Kion and Rani hastily back up, just to see Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu already arrived at the scene which totally made them blush as their faces turned red.

"So, uh... Um... You guys leaving?" Kion said to his family still a bit nervous.

"Apparently, me and your mother are leaving but Kiara and Kovu would be staying. They insisted that they wanted to stay and help you and learn more about the Tree Of Life." Said Simba.

"Oh, uh... Okay!" Said Kion.

Simba took his head closer to Kion and whispered, "No need to be nervous, I can understand. You and Rani will do great!", "Thanks Dad!" Said Kion smiling as Simba backed up.

"Looks like I have another duty today, to take the future king and queen of the Pride Lands on a tour of the Tree of Life." Rani said as she approached to Kion's side.

"That would be great!" Said Kiara.

"Okay then, we should leave now. Take care of my son." Simba said as he looked at Rani.

"I will" Rani replied.

"Okay Bye! And Best Of Luck to both of you!" Simba said as he and Nala started walking.

"Bye!" Kion and Rani said in unison as they waved their paws.

The Night Pride went to rest. The Day Pride with Kion and Rani with Kiara and Kovu went their respective ways.

Meanwhile somewhere, miles away from the Tree Of Life:

*A leopard slowly gets up and shakes its head.*

"You guys okay?" Makucha said turning towards his fellow teammates.

*Everyone started to get up, still a bit dizzy.*

"Where are we?" Ora asked.

"I don't know." said Makucha.

"Now we are lost too...Great!" Chuluun said sarcastically.

They looked around to see that there was a jungle on one side and a barren land on the other. Suddenly they saw something running towards them.

"Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?" Makucha said pointing towards the two other leopards were running towards them from the jungle.

"I can't understand, what are they?" asked Mama Binturong.

"Leopards." said Makucha in a serious tone.

"Leopards? Here?!"

"Hey, I beat you this time! YES!" said one of the leopards which was a male.

"Yeah, but only for this time!" the other leopard who was a female pointed.

"Hey, do you see them? Who are they and what are they doing here?" asked the female leopard to the male.

"I don't know, let's ask them." the male leopard said as they both headed towards Makucha and his teammates.

"Who are you?" asked Makucha baring his teeth.

"Well, who are you, stranger?" asked the male leopard casually.

"I am Makucha." introduced Makucha, "I'm Chuluun" said the snow leopard, "I am Jionna and this is Fahari" introduced Makucha's friends, "I'm Mama Binturong" said the old Binturong in a shaky voice, "I am Ora and these are my friends." introduces Ora, "I am Smun, we porcupines are all called Smun." introduced the Porcupines.

"Well then, I am Inha and this is my younger brother Inho." the female leopard introduced.

"So, why are you here?" asked Inho.

"We come from this place called the Tree Of Life and there is one lion who has this powerful roar which created a tornado and banished us here." explained Makucha.

Just then a Bald Eagle came flying and said, "Master wants to see you, Inha and Inho." informed the male Bald Eagle to Inha and Inho. "Who are they?" asked the Eagle again but was with a heavy voice as always.

"They are kinda our guests." said Inha.

"Maybe, master would like to see them too." suggested the Eagle.

"Good idea Haru!" exclaimed Inho.

"So your name is Haru?" cross-checked Makucha.

"Yes. So, let's get going or Master would be angry." said Haru as Makucha and his team followed the leopards and the Eagle.

"So, who is this 'Master' you all are talking about? And what is this place?" asked Chuluun and Makucha together to Inha and Inho.

"First Answer: He's a Lion and the leader of our group who lives in this forest. His name is Reaper.
Second Answer: This place is known as the Jungle Of Artemis."

"Oh I see" replied Chuluun as they kept walking.

Finally, they reached their destination, there was a quite big open area in front of a cave. They arrived in front of the cave, Haru went inside first and the rest of them waited at the entrance of the cave.

"Did you get them?" asked Reaper out of the dark. His voice was very heavy.

"Yes Sire!" said Haru.

"Present them in front of me." ordered Reaper.

"Come on in!" Haru said but in a louder tone.

Inho, Inha along with the rest came in.

"So Inho, Inha, I wan-- Who are they?" asked Reaper

"They are our guests. I found them in the outskirts of the forest. I think they can be of great help!" Inha suggested.

"Yes! They'll surely be of great help!" exclaimed Reaper with an evil smile.

"Oh! So rude of me I didn't even introduce myself to the guests! My name's Reaper, leader of our group and this place is called the Jungle of Artemis!"introduced Reaper.

"Yeah, Inho and Inha told us about it. But what do you mean by 'we will be of great help'?" asked Makucha impatiently but in an irritated tone.

"Don't be so so impatient, everything in due time. But what are the names of you all?" asked Reaper.

*Makucha and his team introduced themselves*

"Well then, what brings you here?" asked Reaper.

*Makucha tells their story of what happened back in the Tree Of Life and how they were banished here by Kion's Roar*

"Interesting, really interesting! So Inha, Inho, would you like to give them a tour of the Forest and tell them about all the groups of animals we have?" asked Reaper

"We would love to! Come on follow us" they said in unison, as always happy. Makucha and his team started following them.

*When they were out of the cave and nowhere to be seen, two lions came out from the dark and approached Reaper*

"So Reaper, do you really think that those animals would be of GREAT help?" one of the males asked.

"Yes, after all, they know much about the Roar of the Elders. And a little more help in our plan wouldn't do any bad. Moreover I see something different in Makucha's eyes." said Reaper

"I guess, he's right." agreed the other male lion.

"Absolutely! They would be of GREAT HELP!" said Reaper as an evil smirk appeared on his face and he started laughing loudly and evilly.

I'm so sorry guys that I was so delayed and I regret that too. I was quite busy these days. Anyways this was Chapter II Part I (Yes! There will one or two more parts of this chapter.) This is really long than my previous chapter, this is more than 2,200 words. So, the next chapter would be a little delay because I'm attending G-Bomber's writing competition.
